Kai's Songbird

I used to come here often when it was a jazz cafe so I was surprised to see it had turned into a luxurious restaurant since my last visit. The 160 apples displayed at the reception really caught my eye. I heard they check their condition every day and replace them about every two weeks. As the name suggests, the interior is filled with bird-themed decorations, tableware and paintings. You can even hear birds chirping in the background. I chose to sit on the terrace because I wanted to relax outdoors and it was surprisingly comfortable thanks to the air conditioning. From appetizers to dessert, the food matched my taste perfectly and was delicious. The chamomile tea came in a traditional Chinese iron teapot with a tea warmer and there was plenty of it. One of the staff told me that the second floor of their members-only yacht club is actually a cigar lounge. The staff were professional and attentive and I really enjoyed the service. If you’re looking to experience a luxurious atmosphere, I definitely recommend checking this place out.

Honestly, the food was amazing really top quality and cooked just right. We wanted to try the sand and salt chicken but it wasn’t available, so we went with veal and prawns instead. Still totally worth it. The service was great too—super friendly and helpful. Overall, a really good experience. Definitely giving them 5 stars.

The restaurant was quiet and mostly empty during our visit. The staff, however, were very professional and clearly well-trained, which made for a pleasant service experience. As for the food, it was overall average. We tried the squid salad, which was very tasty and well-prepared. Unfortunately, the Thai chicken dish had a slightly unpleasant smell, which detracted from the experience. While the presentation was decent, the flavors didn’t quite stand out. In summary, great service but the food could use some improvement to match the quality of the staff.

Very expensive but so worth the price. The restaurant definitely deserves their Michelin star. Amazing tasting food, great service. The atmosphere is very unique.

It's a true Michelin dining experience in the heart of Porto Arabia (The Pearl). One suggestion I'd make is to spare diners the task of crafting their dining experience by having to go over the menu themselves and picking each part of their meal. Instead, I'd have the chef creat preset dishes to maximise the culinary experience.

We went to Kai’s Songbird to celebrate our anniversary and had the most amazing experience! The atmosphere was beautiful and romantic, just right for a special occasion. All the food they serve is delicious but our favorite dish was the truffle mushroom bao buns. Not only did they taste incredible (so rich and flavorful!), but they were actually shaped like little mushrooms. Super cute and creative, we couldn’t stop talking about them! The staff made us feel really welcome and taken care of, and the whole evening just felt so thoughtful and well put together. Definitely lives up to its Michelin star. We’re already planning to go back!
