My husband and I come here quite often. We have always had a good experience. The food is fresh and the service is speedy. We have a few rolls and dishes we almost always order and add a new item every so often to give it a try. Our drink of choice is a zombie.

Love this place! Fast, friendly, and the ONLY place around that has SNOW CRAB! 🦀 💙 Awesome lunch specials as well.

My mom has been in the mood for sushi for some time but didn’t want to go to the city. We went last night 5/11/24 and had a great experience. The food was delicious and they have a wide variety of sushi, the Lychee Martini left us tipsy. Not a fancy spot, but it was clean, cute with tasty food.

I go here often because my dear Joe loves to come all the time. This week, we tried a few good rolls. We always switch it up when we come. Their lychee martini is a good drink selection. Prices are affordable, but always run it up with back to back drinks

Went for the first time today and found the food to be quite delicious. The staff were quite attentive and friendly. It was very hard to find the restaurant. We drove by it and had to go back to look for it. The front is non description and even the front door gives no clue that it was a Japanese restaurant.

This place used to be decent now it is horrible, the staff is horrible and rude, the woman who seated us (skinny woman) was so unfriendly and came over only to take our order nothing else. The food is subpar and super salty it’s not worth the price at all and overall left a bad taste in our mouths. Will not return.

Great sushi spot. Everything you could want from a Japanese cuisine menu. We had Tom yum soup, some very unique sushi rolls, tempura shrimp, cocktails, bento box, mochi for dessert. Everything was great.

This restaurant is really a nice inviting place. The staff is extremely friendly and if you've gone there they definatly remember you. Down to the type of cocktail and food you like. The sushi is fresh made to order and the $5 happy hour Lychee martinis...knock your pants off good. If you get there before 3 o'clock you can get one of the lunch specials. There choices range from Benito boxes, specials on rolls, rock shrimp is always a great starter, the bbq squid is tasty and very dramatic when it comes out sizzling. The sushi was pretty tasty. Great neighbor spot to get some great tasting sushi at a good price. I can't remember the name of the 3 rolls you'll see in the picture but one had oysters in it and it was pretty damn good lol. The sake was great too! Service was great, nice and fast. Ambiance was nice for a date, catching up with a friend or just to get away and be by yourself. A family also walked in at some point.

stopped in to order food to go. I got an appetizer -spicy, tuna, wasabi cracker and it was delicious. Then I got a couple of rolls that were awesome. I will definitely come back when I'm in the neighborhood.

Even though I've eaten from and ordered here many times, I don't believe I ever tried the sautéed squid. Until tonight. Holy cow. I have been missing out! It's so deliciously aromatic (so it's enticing before you even lay eyes on it). Now, let me tell you something. I don't LOVE squid. I'll eat it, bc I do enjoy my seafood meals regularly. But tonight... I don't think I ever enjoyed my squid as much. The sauce is so flavorful - slightly spicy...like, ever so slightly. I poured some over my brown rice - yum. The sukiyaki was as good as I remember. Just what I was craving in this suddenly fall-like weather. The broth is slightly sweet. I think I had their dessert in the past. Can't remember what exactly (probably fried ice cream). But I can't imagine I had any negative impressions of the food in the past. Per usual, the servers were courteous. This is a spot that my family and I frequented quite often growing up. It never disappointed.

A friend of mine brought me to this location a few years ago and it was one of her favorites. As for myself I'm not in love but u have to know what to order I guess. Today I ordered shrimp dumpling it was ok just regular the sauce paired with it is not good at all, spicy crab roll imitation crab I ordered the wrong thing because I don't usually like crab since it's imitation. I did not like this sushi & miso soup has an acquired taste not for me. Customer service is good. On the phone and in person they've always been nice when I went.

This is my go to spot!! I do t think I've ever been disappointed. I haven't been back in a while, and I'm so glad I wasn't disappointed. The entrance is in the parking lot next to a laundry mat. So great parking. I also liked that after not being there so long, the staff actually remembered me and made my experience even more memorable. We ordered the steamed shumai, the sushi sampler, the dancing classic roll, the sabagari classic roll, the samurai steak and the tempura green tea ice cream. Everything was delicious. Washed it down with a zombie and a Mai tai. Their drinks are always on point. I've stayed away to long.

I was staying at a Airbnb and I yelp this location I had the Connie salad which was perfect. I also ordered the chicken Ramen spicy bowl delicious enough for two people. And the spices were just right not to overpowering. The service was quick and helpful and a delight .!

Food is always fresh and pleasant to the palate my favorite rolls here are the pink lady and spider rolls if not just getting sashimi. The staff has always been kind, receptive and friendly whether I'm getting a ToGo order or sitting inside. It's a small quaint store front sized restaurant with traditional "lil sushi restaurant" ambience . I order from them pretty often

Kaiseki Japanese Cuisine is a solid and preferred place to order from when you crave sushi. I had the Maki combo and chose the Lido Beach roll, Long Beach roll and the Tri state roll that had colorful caviar on top! I also got a Philadelphia roll and Miso soup. Everything was fresh, beautiful to look at and delicious!

Every time I eat here I get sick. My friends love it so I had given it a shot for about 3 time now. Every time I have ate here, I have gotten really sick. It tastes good, but gets you sick

We just had a dinner here . Freindly , welcoming and pleasant wait staff . Miso soup was good, I had seafood dynamite and some sushi rolls. Everything was delicious and we were served quickly. The ambiance is romantic and lively. I would def go here again once I will be in the area!

The fried rice doesn't take fresh, as if the oil is rescued. My husband didn't finish his sushi because he said his shrimp tasted like its also been cooked in old oil. That's the reason why I removed a star. Everything else we ate was good. The ambience is ok and the waiters are friendly.

This is my 2nd time at this restaurant, and I had a great experience. The sushi rolls were fresh and tasty. I ordered the alaskan, lido beach, and spicy salmon rolls. Also, I had the miso soup for an appetizer, because that is a must for me!!! I visited early in the afternoon and didn't have a taste for alcohol. So I can't comment on their alcoholic drinks. The servers were really nice and attentive. It's a nice, quiet spot, and I will definitely be back.

Tried them once a few years ago and wasn't a fan. Gave it another shot last night and it was a disaster. Everything tasted and smelled like fish. They clearly didn't serve us fresh food. Awful

I ordered an avocado roll from here and it was so delicious. I ate it all within 2 minutes. It makes me wanna come back here more! The staff is very friendly. There's a $10 credit card minimum. And the price for the roll was around $5 + tax. It's a nice place to stop by and get some quick sushi

Very good. I stopped here based on the other reviews. I called in an order for pickup. just a couple of rolls for dinner and I can say the service was quick and the food was quite fresh and tasty. I would love to go back and sit down for service.

Alaskan crabmeat mixed with seaweed salad, caviar and spicy cajan mayo sauce. As simple as that sounds it ROCKED MY WORLD. In fact I hardly do updates but this REAL (KING) CRAB salad deserves its own review I joke not. Tip: order King Crab salad. If you ask for just crab salad you'll be served imitation crab meat. I cannot say if it's Chef Tommy's magic, or if this is how this particular salad usually knocks you out as I've never had it anywhere else before. Indeed I would love to taste it elsewhere but for now, I'm quite content spending some time getting to know this one intimately. I may be one of the few Yelpers that isn't big on food. I would not call myself a foodie. I know what I like and I kind of stick to that. I'm adventurous with other things *winks* (but you're not here for that are you? lol). When I'm introduced to something that is as awesome as this salad is I tend to go stir crazy, a typical case of not accustom. This salad is different. It almost has a mind of its own. It may need its own zip code. In your mouth, it senses where to go, when and what to do and lil ole you? Well you're lost in ecstacy. My suggestion to Kaiseki, offer this as an entree so folks like me won't have to buy several (3) to make a full meal. It's not listed in the main ingredients but I'm sure I got a taste of wasabi. This salad is ever so lightly spiced, savory yet sweet, crispy-crunchy but soft. With each stick-full I moaned uncontrollably and had to be quieted by my dinner partner several times. Back to reality. Just try it. You experience may not be the same but I PRAY TO GOD IT IS or better. I wish this food app allowed for sampling the food described in a review. Alas, 2016 maybe? Until my relationship with this dish is over, this place may see me every day. Beg...borrow...or steal. A review about a salad. Yeah I did that. But everything I've eaten here tastes great so your trip I can guarantee you, will not be a wasted one. The End.

I still love this place. Always have always will. They know me now, it's a sad relationship! Hahaha! Kaiseki has great customer service, they move quick and courteously. I really enjoy everything that i order from here, every single time. Please try the fried ice cream!

Was craving sushi so decided to order. Reasonably priced good tasting food. My only critique was that the packaging seemed a bit small. Did not disappoint, look forward to ordering from here again.

Prices are okay here; it's expected since it's practically the only Japanese sushi restaurant in the neighborhood. However, I only ordered 3 rolls and it came out to be $20! WHOA!! I had missed the lunch special by 30 minutes apparently. Anyway, I ordered the Alaskan, Spicy Tuna, and Dancing rolls. The smoked salmon in the Alaskan roll was really salty. Dancing roll (eel tempura, spicy tuna, and cream cheese) was not particularly good either. Honestly, that was my fault; I wanted to be adventurous and choose a roll that I've never tried before. The cream cheese threw me off. When I used to get the Philadelphia roll at other restaurants (which also has cream cheese), I didn't mind it at all. I guess there was just too much going on with the Dancing roll. My favorite out of the 3 rolls was the Spicy Tuna -- a typical order for me. Nice little kick, a little bit of tuna visible. The color was super red though. Staff was friendly and I received my take-out order in 10 minutes even though there was a lot of people eating there. I'd definitely come back during lunch hour and try some other rolls.

I've gone to almost every Japanese sushi cuisine restaurant far and wide here on Long Island & Kaiseki wins every time! If I didn't know better I would have passed this past 1000x and not even know it was there. But this hidden gem is exactly that, a GEM! We go in here so frequently, the staff knows us by first name. The restaurant is always clean & decorated beautifully with intimate booths & dim lighting. We've walked right in, sat at our favorite booth and have been attended to in less than seconds. We've never had to wait & our food has always been hot & the fish is ALWAYS fresh & packed with flavor. We actually eat so much when we go, we opt to order a "Cruise Ship" or the "Love Boat," which comes with 40-50 pieces of sushi/sashimi rolls. Last night I was feeling under the weather so we ordered takeout online. I've always had the stigma that sushi never tasted as good as it does at home, but Kaiseki does it again. It was just as delicious! I already can't wait to go again next week. Mmm!!!

Sushi lunch specials are excellent. I order from here often as I work nearby. Love the double and triple play specials. Their classic rolls go beyond your basic rolls that you get at other places. One of my favorites is the tristate roll... so generous with the pieces of fish! Also, love the dinner bento boxes. So much variety and I love feeling like I'm eating something new with every bite haha. Other noodle/fried rice entrees are okay. Nothing special. Interior of the restaurant is also very nice. Beautiful large booths that feel very private. Overall a really nice sushi spot for valley stream :)

Ever have one of those days when you have to have Ramen Noodles? Good news is Kaseiki has Ramen Noodles!!! Searched long and wide in Valley Stream and this was the only location I could locate who had it on the menu. Service First service was top notch. Our waitress brought the food on time. Perfect timing from the drink, to appetizer to entree.. Appetizer Salmon and Avocado sushi roll was good as an appetizer. Drinks Didn't order drinks, other then a coke. Drinks did look good. Entree Had the beef Ramen Noodles as an entree. Very substantial for a soup. Had Noodles, beef, and vegetables. Spicy enough to get my attention, but I did end up adding hot sauce. Plenty of vegetables added although it took some effort to cut them to soup spoon size .. Decor Plenty of booths for privacy. Not fancy but very clean. Surprisingly busy for a weekday.

Kaiseki is a good spot for drinks and sushi rolls. Their prices are reasonable and pretty cheap for the drinks. I've been here a few times and it seems consistent. The only downside is that it can become crowded on weekends and there isn't enough staff. There are many people tending to the same table. I have ordered take out as well but I much rather dine in.

Been going to this place even before the change in management and it still hits the spot. Best sushi/Japanese cuisine in the area. We always order either the triple play or double play lunch specials and the sushi is always on point. My wife and I used to come here when we were just dating ten years ago and the food hasn't disappointed. I haven't dined in post COVID but the staff was always accommodating.

Just letting everyone know that Kaiseki has done great food all throughout quarantine...albeit only take out. I can't wait for them to open for dining this summer. We have been coming here for about 10 years. It's owned by a wonderful local family. Service is great and the food is fresh as can be. They make wonderful cocktails and have added new things to the menu. Give it a try, the diamond roll is delicious!

My friend recommended this place, she said this is the best sushi place in Valley Stream. The decor of the restaurant is dim, great for a dinner with some friends or on a date. Since my boyfriend and I were waiting on my friend to arrive, we decided to order a few appetizers and a carafe of hot sake. For starters; we order the pork gyoza and fried squid. The pork gyoza came in 6 pieces with a side of gyoza sauce that's sweet and savory. It was pretty good and crispy. The fried squid was tempura fried that came with a sauce that's like a sweet soy sauce paste. The squid wasn't too chewy, it was cooked just right. For our meal, my boyfriend and I shared the Cruise ship sushi and sashimi meal. They came with either miso soup or salad. We both asked for soup but they gave me a salad. My boyfriend gave me his soup so I had both. But out server noticed they made a mistake and later brought out another bowl of soup for my boyfriend. The Cruise ship was pretty big. The meal came with 3 special rolls; rainbow roll, dragon roll and volcano roll. 10pcs of sushi and 20pcs of sashimi. The sushi wasn't bad, can't compare to the many authentic sushi restaurants in the city. Their service was great. Very friendly staff and well attentive. We waited on my friend for a while and they weren't pushy. But they were really kind. My friend ordered a 3 sushi roll combo that came with; spicy salmon, spicy tuna and shrimp tempura. Her meal also came with a soup or salad. Overall, 3.5 stars. The food was good, but in an average way. Service was great! And place it clean, spacious.

Used to be much better under the old owner. The new owner won't hire people to serve when it gets crowded. They only have one person that sort of speaks English. They are too cheap to hire anyone else to work the bar so the only English speaking person does the bar and serves the tables and the walk in customers but especially the phone. Cheap azz folk. Also, since the owner is that one English speaking person, good luck getting good service when more that 5 customers are there. I still go for the drinks cause they are $5. I don't tip well anymore cause they don't care anymore. I long for Simon! Update - the owner Mindy, got angry with me because I didn't like the yakotori and wouldn't pay for it after one bite. I have eaten yakotori plenty and this one was so tough that my dog probably wouldn't like it! I am going to stop eating here and will not tip anymore. The ownership is selfish and actually scowled at me because I didn't like it. It is the first time I ever sent anything back after going there for years. I'm done with them. Why don't they try actually cooking and stop buying pre-packaged food? Done.

The sushi here is sooo good!! The lunch special has a bunch of options so how could you possibly turn down trying it? I have been searching for a sushi restaurant in town that is fresh and finally I found it. I can honestly say the philly and the lido beach rolls have not disappointed me yet. I definitely have to try more options but as of the moment, those are my favorite two that keeps me coming back. The miso soup and salad is also fresh and tasty. I am a returning customer! Customer service has also been amazing. Try it out!

My boyfriend and I just recently discovered this sushi spot as we happened to be in the area and were hungry. And we are certainly glad we did! The sushi is very fresh and not fishy at all. I recommended the tuna tango appetizer for its contrast in textures and loads of fresh tuna on top with delicious sauce. Special rolls I recommend the sushi cake and the angry dragon. We also had the veggie tempura rolls which were awesome. Make sure you go during the week as if you go during the weekend there will be a wait and it can be very cramped inside. I don't drink but the martinis looked lovely. I only rated 4 stars as the service can be slow.

I didn't discover this local sushi spot until about 2 years ago when it's been in business for years! I am addicted to the Diamond Roll & the peanut avocado roll with brown rice. The staff is friendly here. Their drinks always look good too, but never tried them aside from their hot sencha tea. Check them out!

Lets first start by saying I had a feast, so if you are in a diet...look away. Environment: Small and cozy. Favorite Bartender/ Customer Service: Simon Advice: Park behind the laundromat and not by the restaurant. People will park their car blocking your space to pick up laundry. You are welcome. Delivery Advice: The wait is for 30-45 minutes. They will tell you this because the food is fresh and anytime you order something crispy you will be crunching! Will I go here again?: Yes

Totally love this place! Been coming here since they first opened with my mom and brother. The food is always super fresh! The staff is pretty friendly and very attentive. Sometimes a bit too attentive. But it's cool because I'd rather that then the type of servers u have to look for throughout your meal. Now the drinks!! Bomb! Always strong and always HAPPY HOUR! Yes... All day! My fav is the lychee martini for a very low $5. And I can usually only drink one because they are that strong. All the dishes I've tried have been delish! Love the bento boxes. My all time favorite is the yummy roll! Out of this world... And named oh so appropriately. Can not think of one time that I have been disappointed during dine in or take out. Great job Kaiseki! Customer for life.

We love this place! Go with at least 4 people so you can order one of their large 'boats' and enjoy a fantastic variety of savory sushi sashimi tastes. Slightly pricey but you truly get what you pay for. Early knocks at Kiaseki said the wait staff was unfriendly. That's all changed now as you are greeted by nice attentive servers and never left alone for long. I highly recommend anything on the menu at Kiaseki and suggest you make it a regular on your list!

Awesome little hidden place and who would think to look in valley Stream! Best crab salad out there (and so pretty too). Also I would suggest the million dollar roll wrapped in miso paper. They shape them like little hearts, adorable. Food was great, service could have been better considering there was only one other table in there but all in all I would def recommend Kaiseki.

Kaiseki is easily passed by. Just like a really good bondo job on a car, unless you were looking for it you would never notice it. Inside it's pleasant and calm with typical Japanese restaurant accents including dark wood tables and booths. Soup and Salad with everything. I mean it. You order a lunch combo? Soup and salad. You a order full dinner? Soup and salad for everyone. Ignore all that junk about the recession, this is a fine touch to dining here. No need to ask, just expect a nice hot bowl of miso soup in front of you shortly after you order. They offer plenty of rolls with variety. I loved the cajun tuna and salmon, mmh! While the fish is no doubt fresh, I questioned the overall quality and value of the sushi rolls. Lets say you order a roll that has avocado in it. A very common (and cheap) ingredient tends to become about 65% of the said roll. You order a two fish roll that happens to have avocado? Damn, you might as well get some lime juice and chips because you're going to have enough to make a bowl of guacamole. The value is...questionable. Maybe it was just my chef that day but I came here eat fish, not filler! Go for the mochi ice cream. They offer green tea, red bean, mango, vanilla and other flavors with an awesome little presentation on the plate. The staff were friendly but they seemed distracted and forgot about us for awhile. Maybe because it was a slow day. Who knows.

The sushi pizza is to die for. If you get anything at this restaurant that should be it. They have a salmon and tuna combo sushi pizza which is good but my personal favorite is just the salmon sushi pizza. Everything on it is just so good and you could honestly eat the whole thing in less than 10 mins.

Consistently great sushi and appetizers! We dine in and we order from here quite often and are never disappointed. Pleasant people and service.

Sushi is extremely fresh and flavorful. By far the best in the area. They also deliver very quickly! The website is easy to navigate.
