This restaurant is recommended by the Michelin guide, and it’s immediately clear why: the quality and presentation of the dishes speak for themselves. It’s a small fusion restaurant with just a few tables and a creative, enticing menu. They also offer a tasting menu where the chef selects four appetizers, a pasta dish, and a main course from the à la carte options—exactly what we tried. Since there are a few ingredients we don’t eat, we gave the staff a list of dietary restrictions. Despite that, they thoughtfully put together a tasting menu that fully respected our preferences, avoiding everything we had asked to exclude. Exceptional attention to customer needs. The wine list is also excellent, with a well-balanced selection of both local and international labels. Every dish we tried was truly outstanding. But what impressed me the most was the service: the person who looked after us was always smiling, calm, attentive, and never intrusive. Highly recommended—not only for the quality but also because the prices are more reasonable than many other places at this level.

I tried the tasting menu at Kaiseki and really enjoyed the experience. The four starters were fine, with the shrimp dumpling standing out as especially tasty. The pasta, ravioli with rabbit, was good, though a bit too much sauce for my taste. The main course — duck with mashed potatoes — was absolutely delicious, and the dessert was simply amazing. Everything blended perfectly in my mouth, I loved it! The staff were very friendly and explained each dish in detail, which made the evening even better. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Lovely place for dinner. We had the iberico pork and rabbit ravioli and both were scrumptious! Don’t skip on desert, you’ll be talking about it all the way home. The atmosphere is cozy and romantic.

We had such a fantastic experience here! The service was absolutely spot on – attentive without being overbearing – and the vibe was just perfect. The outdoor seating is a must if you can get it, the area is so lively and adds to the whole experience. Cocktails were super fresh and full of flavour – the Samusa cocktail was hands down our favourite (so unique and delicious!). We shared a bunch of starters and honestly, every single one was beautifully presented and tasted incredible. The shiitake mushroom ragu and beef tartare really stood out – both packed with flavour and just so well done. For mains, we couldn’t pick just one so ended up sharing a few – no regrets! The short rib stole the show for me, melt-in-your-mouth and perfectly paired with the sides. But honestly, everything we tried was mouthwatering. Definitely a place worth coming back to – amazing food, great drinks, and such a lovely atmosphere.

We made a reservation to sit on the street. The torched salmon appetizer was very impressive. Sorry that I forgot to take a photo. My fish of the day was tasty but the sauce tasted just as same as the appetizer torched salmon. My husband enjoyed his pork dish with fried rice. The servers were very friendly. I would rate service as 5 star. Food is decent.

Cannot say enough amazing things about Kaiseki! Everything was incredible - atmosphere, service, and the food was next level. It was so good that we had dinner here twice on our trip to Valletta. I'd recommend making a reservation to avoid the potential disappointment of not getting a table. It's a Michelin guide restaurant that definitely deserves its own star! We tried multiple menu options, all of which were 11/10. The pork dumplings were by far our favourite. We also tried the shrimp ravioli, rabbit ravioli, pistachio fusilli, and the chicken karaage, all of which I'm still thinking about days later. I would return to Valletta again just to eat here!

The homemade focaccia was delightfully fluffy and paired perfectly with creamy, herbed butter. Starters like crispy tuna-topped bites and delicious gyoza impressed both in taste and presentation. Mains such as tender duck breast, glazed ribs, and rich pork guisossa arrived beautifully plated with silky mashed potatoes and fresh veggies. Each dish balanced textures and flavors flawlessly, making Kaiseki a standout spot for anyone seeking creative and satisfying cuisine in Malta, just incredible 🙌🏻
