I underwent an MRI. This was my first one ever and I didn't know what to expect. The tech and staff were very patient, kind, and understanding. They explained the procedure to me thoroughly and made sure I was calm at all times. I highly recommend the imaging department at Kaiser Modesto for all your imaging needs!

Google
Everyone was amazing!!! The lady who checked me in it was joyful and very funny. The Nurse who got me ready for surgery was so incredibly kind she made me comfortable when I was so nervous. She was so amazing! The nurse that put my IV in was gentle and excellent as his job! And a very funny and energetic nurse who took me into the surgery room, so perfect! Then came the rest of the crew. There were so many of them in that surgery room! They made me feel like everything was going to be OK, they made me laugh and they were so happy and loved their job. They were a perfectly oil machine. It was a wonder to watch! They were just like a perfect pit crew for Formula One racing! The robot was really cool too! The nurses who took care of me and recovery were so sweet. I kept apologizing for dropping for being such a baby, but they didn’t make me feel embarrassed by it and they were so reassuring every moment . My surgeon was absolutely brilliant, I was so lucky to have her in that operating room. I knew I was going to be OK when I first met her. I tend to be a baby when it comes to pain and surgery. I’m sure I was definitely a challenge. I literally do not have the words to explain how great and experience I had at Kaiser, I would never be able to thank everybody enough for incredible they were. I only hope that you let them know how much they are appreciated!!

Google
Dr. Grace provides compassionate and professional patient care. I left feeling understood, a game plan in place, and confident that we can further our conversations to address any outstanding issues. Highly recommend Dr. Grace.

Google
The dr I seen was horrible. He was soley focused on insurance and money. Not on my well being or health. He said and I quote “if you were the one paying for the bills out of pocket I’d put in the test you’re asking for no questions “ because I wanted to ensure I’m still cancer free and asked for a blood test initially and he said there wasn’t any yet and then I asked for the same scan I had 2.5 years previously to make sure I was still in the clear and he said no because of insurance . I asked how come the last dr did the testing and he said it was because it was the first time she seen me: it was my first time seeing him. And then he said he wasn’t going to argue with me when I pointed that out. People are fighting for their lives im this department. I’ve been through hell and back with my cancer journey and I’ve never been so mistreated by any dr I’ve seen. He should not be working there

Review for urgent care experience - queue moves quick. They are well organized and the staff has a synergy where you can tell each member goes beyond just their typical duties to keep things moving smoothly. Doctors and nurses are also empathetic and have a genuine desire to help everyone.

Google
I love Dr. Sandoval and Blanca, her nurse. Very compassionate and patient oriented team. Blanca is much respected and appreciated by Dr. Sandoval and that is so refreshing to see. I had an unexpected reaction to an earwashing and being experienced nurse that she is, Blanca knew exactly what to inform me of and then took action right away which allowed the rest of the team to to step in. I'm sad to be losing Kaiser coverage at the end if this month 😪 and these two individuals are a HUGE reason why.

Google
Dr Gurjit Singh has human heart and does not talk like robot - he makes you feel seen :) He really listens to you and help you make decisions. his decisions are not forced they are presented . In my 28 years with Kaiser 1st doctor or psychiatrist- who cares and wants you to have better health :)thank you Dr.singh This review is only for Dr. Singh’s service - again in 28 years with kaiser you found 1st one - it does not give 5 star to over all facility or other physicians credit -

Google
So it's been almost 2 years since I had my daughter here. She was my first and I never ever had an issue with any of my appointments leading up to her birth. I was full of anxiety and everytime I went in the staff in labor and delivery always told me that's what they are there for to help me. The staff would hear me say something and then wanted to run tests to make sure nothing was wrong. I take that as them being extra caring and them thinking of the safety of me and my daughter. I had a L&D nurse named Lacey I did not get her last name. She was an angel and I think of her often. Lacey if you are reading this thank you so much for everything you did. Thankfully I had a some what smooth delivery but I think if Lacey was not there it may have been different. Thank you Lacey. <3

Yelp
This Kaiser ER sucks the most! Most of the people that come here wait for hours on end and end up going AWOL. The medical director should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this to happen. That's the trick, the longer you have patients wait, The less of them you have to treat. Because they just up and leave. They should really clean house or maybe even shut this ER facility down. We pay tens of thousands a year for medical coverage.

Yelp
I've been visiting Kaiser for my prenatal care and my OB-GYN, Dr. Lee, has been nothing short of amazing -- very hands-on, caring, and supportive. However, my experience with the IV fluid OB-GYN department was very disappointing. One of the nurses, Reese, made me feel uncomfortable and even humiliated. She gave unsolicited advice about walking during pregnancy despite me clearly feeling dizzy and unable to walk safely, which felt dismissive of my condition. During the IV procedure, she attempted multiple times without properly checking my veins, causing bruises and unnecessary pain that lasted for days. It was only when another nurse stepped in that the IV was inserted correctly on the first try. While I was connected to the IV, she continued to make remarks about how oral intake is "better" than IV fluids, which made me feel like I was at fault for my symptoms. While I highly recommend Dr. Jon Lee for his excellent patient care, I cannot recommend the IV fluid department due to this unprofessional and hurtful experience with Nurse Reese.

Yelp
i dread coming to this location. if it wasn't because it's the closest to me, i'd stop but that'd mean i'd have to drive farther. i feel violated almost every time i step anywhere into or near your ER/radiology department for appointments or even past emergencies. i already suffer from chronic kidney disease and i came into this er a while back for a severe infection. it took me 12 hours to finally receive treatment. i was lenient enough to not write a review about it then, however, my experience today just drew the line for me and now im writing this review. i was already feeling uneasy about my ct scan appointment today, and to make matters worse, one of your ma's discussed a sensitive aspect of my medical situation (that i was already trying to avoid prior) out loud in front of a waiting room full of people. i feel so humiliated and frustrated for the lack of privacy i had to endure.

Snow B.

Yelp
please do not go here. limited doctor visits, long ER wait times, and decreasing service accessibility to limiting the number of contracted specialists, making appointments inconvenient, and increased office visit waiting times. Always reschedulIng appointment. Their best advice is to always go to the ER Even for something that could be checked in the clinic.

Yelp
I am writing on behalf of my dad, who received care at this Kaiser facility in March of this year. As a healthcare professional myself, I was deeply disappointed by the care he received in the Emergency Department Upon arrival at the front desk, there was a delay in pulling up his chart. Then, they had to wait for a staff member to "clean" their desk before triage could begin. Approximately 20 minutes passed without my dad being called, despite there being only two other people in the waiting area. Once he was taken to a room, my dad was in severe abdominal pain (reason for his visit) When my uncle asked staff if pain meds could be given, they were told "no" because imaging was needed first. As an RN, I am aware that pain management can--and should--be initiated even when diagnostic tests are pending. Pain relief should have been provided immediately, especially given the level of suffering he was experiencing. To make things worse, while my dad was in visible distress, staff outside the room could be heard laughing and chatting on their phones. This lack of compassion was unacceptable. An IV was not started until hours later, despite this being a standard and prompt intervention in the ED. I understand that emergency departments can be busy and stressful, but this was a Tuesday morning with many empty rooms, so the delay in care was inexcusable. If this had been one of their own family members, I am confident they would have expected--and demanded--better treatment. My dad's primary care is through a Kaiser in the Bay Area, and we have never encountered such issues there (he was currently in Central Valley when experienced the acute abdominal pain) By the time I arrived after driving from the Bay Area, much of the initial mismanagement had already occurred. Once admitted to the inpatient unit, we had no major concerns except for our interaction with the Unit Clerk on the 4th floor, named Angelo. His demeanor at the front desk appeared annoyed and unwelcoming which is not the kind of reception families should receive when their loved one is hospitalized. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this facility and will avoid seeking care at this Kaiser in the future.

Yelp
Terrible service. From phone calls, check ins, to actual appointments... everything is terrible. The person who work here either hate working here or on a visa from another country. I had a MRI this morning the tech person didn't show up. So I didn't have a MRI. It's so discouraging because I have brain cancer. I have been doing MRIs for ten years and I never had someone not show up. Kaiser is terrible

Yelp
Im writing this review after many times trying to get the correct prescription i have needed for my chronic illness of 40 years. The problem lies between the doctor and pharmacy. I have been given the run around why they willl prescribe this medication but pass it off with a sugar pill. Do they think after taking it successfully for 6 months that i wont be able to tell that their giving me a pill with zero effect. Every pain medication has some effect whether its good or bad. Im left sufferring everyday. Im done playing games with Kaiser!!

Yelp
Kaiser Hospital in Modesto is first rate! I was out of town and I had a problem with my gall bladder. I went to a local rural hospital that eventually transferred me to Kaiser Hospital in Modesto. I had to undergo emergency gallbladder surgery. From the first step in the emergency room to leaving and follow up they were excellent. I can't remember the name of my surgeon but she was a breath of fresh air. She was in charge and kicked ass! I'd trust her with life. And the nursing staff, everyone I dealt with while in the emergency room were excellent and showed they cared. I wish I lived closer to Modesto knowing my health would be in good hands if I ever had to go there again.

Yelp
We arrived at 9 AM and were there until 6 PM. There were approximately 100 people waiting for service, most of which got there after us. My sister threatened to leave with an IV in her arm and finally got service. This is what happens when you have one hospital serving a very large area of people. This is a health risk in my book! I would highly suggest not going there. One star is too generous!

Yelp
Today was not a great to visit Kaiser, I park in ballet that was a good experience. I wouldn't got my medicine as I was going to the pharmacy. A man fell off the bench in the front of the building. I ran to the pharmacy to let them know they move like snails like OK we're moving. We're going. He had to call someone. I'm like he's wrapping his chest. He can't get up OK ma'am we hear you know you need to go stop what you're doing and go help him then about seven minutes later they go out to take care of him. Then I go to member services to get a copy of a doctors note they can't print it. They sent me to the fourth floor to get it printed there. Why does the member services exist? They can't help me.???? so I'll go to the fourth floor to physical therapy and I asked Lady can she print it she printed it thank you so very much but what's the purpose you under months of construction we have to walk around the building to get into the building or park in valet in the bag and walk through the whole hospital to get to the pharmacy They have a shuttle service in the parking lot. I stood there and waited for them for 20 minutes, they never showed. I had an artificial knee so I had to walk, which was not good. I have another appointment here on the 13th. Let's see if they do any better than next week cause I really love Kaiser but October is coming and I will change my services.

Yelp
10/02/2023- This 1 srar is because I had an 8:30pm appt in Radiology. When I arrived around 7:30p, there were no lights on at all in any parking lot. It looked like it was closed except that the building indoor lights were on. Didn't feel safe walking from the parking lot to the front door. I've never been here at night, so I don't know it this is common practice. As I was trying to walk to the entrance in the dark. I could hear the voices of other people but couldn't see them. Some were also saying how dark it was and where was security personal.

Yelp
I was called back saw the dr who said he'd give me something for my pain and we'd do an X-ray. They took me immediately to the X-ray brought me right back and had already given my bed to someone else. The nurse then stuck me back in the waiting room an hour later still no pain meds and I've already received the image results from the X-ray. Finally I ask the girls at the desk concerned I'm still in pain and yet still nothing to help me yet She tells me they're waiting for a spot to open up in the back again ok still waiting in the waiting room now another 30 minutes have gone by still nothing for the pain Way to take care of your patients needs! Btw still waiting don't treat people like cattle

Yelp
I have twin grandsons born at this hospital last week. Due to birth complications they needed donor milk to be fed. Now that my daughter's milk has come in, they are still in need of donor milk to meet the requirements established by the pediatrician. At least 4 times in the last 48 hours the requested milk was brought hour(s) later or tonight, not at all. These babies have been scheduled to come home for the last 3 days with NO change in the dismal care provided at this facility. There have been a few positive interactions but overall, there needs to be better follow up from social services and patient advocacy so sleep deprived, anxious and worried parents can feel confident their newborns are not being neglected at this "hospital." One doctor even suggested as low birthweight twins they should have been in the NICU to be stabilized and prepared to come home. We are 7 days into this stressful experience and again, some individuals have been great but overall I wouldn't give the care provided more than two stars. Let's add to this, the nursing staff at Kaiser is apparently "on strike." The healthcare professionals who don't show up to care for people should no longer have a job. Go find another career or a new network if you are unhappy with your rate of pay, I wonder about the integrity of a caregiver who choses to put innocent babies and sick people at risk.

Brittany F.

Yelp
Don't go here. No seriously don't go here. Go to a private urgent care. We rushed to the ER per Kaiser's advice and was told we urgently needed care while on the road home so we were forced to come here. I should have left at the first sign that it was not a good hospital.

Aaron T.

Yelp
If I could give zero stars, I would. I came to the Kaiser Modesto ER with a bleeding hand that hadn't stopped for over 7 hours. I sat in the waiting room for 2.5 hours actively bleeding through paper towels with no help. Once I was finally put in a room, I was left completely unattended for hours--no vitals, no wound care, nothing. Staff outside my door were gossiping, complaining about their jobs, and even online shopping while I sat bleeding and lightheaded. After 4+ hours, a doctor finally came in, shocked I'd been ignored for so long. A nurse who came later dropped equipment on the floor and used it anyway. I was never checked on again. After 12 hours of bleeding and zero follow-up, I left feeling worse than when I arrived. To make it worse, my medical record falsely claimed I was upset and refused treatment--none of which happened. I felt completely dehumanized and neglected. This ER was unsafe and unprofessional. Avoid this place if you value your health.

Connor R.

Yelp
Took me a month to set up an appointment for a physical, they canceled after I was minutes late, after having me wait 5 minutes in the lobby, and another 5 to see the doctor. I set up a same day appointment at another clinic. If you have literally any other options, choose something else.

Alicia R.

Yelp
Dr. Michelle Latting Opthalmology is extremely rude & so is her staff! Not helpful at all! I had to wait weeks then was told I had to be referred to Sacramento & she didn't even see me! It was just a rude message she wrote for her assistant to forward to me that they blocked so I couldn't even ask a question back!

Victoria M.

Yelp
Why is the lady in admitting calling me and asking if I am an American citizen or if I was born in the U.S. I've had Kaiser for 15 years and have NEVER been asked this before.
google avatar

Sandra S.

Yelp
Do not take any one there for emergency care. The hospital may be ok but the ICU is preparing you for a death. They are doing things without telling you making poor decisions cold to the patients and family. Death after another I witnessed 3 in a week. My mother was 1 unfortunately. Dr Pereek was the DR making orders and suggestions knowing there was more risks involved. Make and female nurses and staff in the ICU were terrible rude rough aggressive cold quiet with what they were doing to my mom. Never again to be cont.....

Yelp
First class modern facility with the highest level of care. The facility is spacious, modern and clean. Well organized .

Yelp
The Labor/ Delivery sucks for Kaiser Modesto NEVER GO HERE FOR LABOR/DELIVERY. I am late on my pregnancy induction because there were pending pregnant women on the list that was not catered last days. Gladly, my doctor from Walnut Creek ( I have Gestational Diabetes and Mild PreEclampsia) Booked me an immediate appointment at Kaiser Antioch for induce labor.
google avatar

Yelp
Why!! would they decide to change the way you access your information? Do they not know or care that a majority of their patients are elderly...And once they get use to accessing their medical info and appointment info....They decide to change the f**cking path to access their accounts!! I'm done. I'm looking into United Healthcare
google avatar

Mohammed I.

Yelp
How come people working in hospitals get out 5 minutes early than 3:30 pm and there parked so close to the hospital

Evangeline I.

Yelp
Kaiser modesto is a joke! I would never come here for services and I've been a kaiser member my whole life.

Kathleen T.

Yelp
If you have surgery, you'll be lucky to get pain relief (or be put out) during the surgery. I guess they don't have enough doctors or they are trying to save money. It was a nightmare

Yelp
This is a review for the maintenance in Kaiser Modesto. Last time I was in the Pain Department twice and the stains and messy, dirty floors remains the same the second appointment. And today, I had an appointment in Orthopedic Department and the floors are also very filthy very disgusting. I don't understand how this medical facilities hire such incompetent maintenance company who couldn't clean the facility real good. They need to change the cleaning company. The hospital should have high standards. People are sick and shouldn't be subjected to such filthy, unsanitary, unhealthy environment. It's disgusting to walk in as a patient and see the disgusting dirty floors, when the patients' health and safety should be number one priority. Place should be safe, clean, healthy and free from bacteria place for patient.

Yelp
BEWARE! Do not come here to deliver your baby! The cascade of unnecessary interventions at this kaiser are astounding, so bad in fact that it caused my best friend to develop an infection from the unnecessary internal fetal monitor. From the moment she arrived at 7cm they immediately broke her water, started pitocin, internal fetal monitoring, etc. even though she was laboring well on her on .. they didn't even ask or bother with consent they just took it upon themselves. Shortly after arrival (4-5 hours) she developed a fever/infection, which led to a c section. Also, the pitocin kept causing her baby heart rate to drop but they just kept turning it back on and then it got so bad they had to give her medicine to stop her contractions which coupled with the infection stalled her labor. The incompetence at this location is baffling and dangerous. The staff we encountered here deeply lacked intelligence and common sense even to the most basic questions. Kaiser, don't bother with replying, this location is beyond repair.

Victoria G.

Yelp
a couple of months ago I had to go see a gyno for my yearly physical was not happy with the doctor I had she was more worried about getting me out then to ask questions. And it was painful. So I will never go to her again, there are good ones just not her.
google avatar

Amanda Q.

Yelp
This kaiser was nice, the only issue I had was with the person that does the epidural I had mentioned I had scoliosis so where she was trying to put it in was where my spine curved she put it right next to my spine several times. Other than that everyone else was great, had a nurse from Louisiana who helped with my son's glucose levels and she was very gentle getting it that he didn't even wake up. I thought it was weird how they force you to sign a sheet saying you wouldn't cosleep, with my first I never had to do that nor did the hospital mention anything about it when I did do it. It should be up to the parents discretion and they shouldn't put fear into people who want to or have to but I digress. Overall a nice hospital and amazing kind staff except for one or two people.

Delia A.

Yelp
The receptionist has no care in the world! I am a manager of customer care and would never hire someone like that. Mean and just schooling I. Her phone

Yelp
Broke my foot , took an ambulance in & they said they would see me ahead of everyone when we arrived. When my emt and ambulance, left the ER people me outside and put me in line with everyone else with regular issues. Lol my mom and step mom have worked for Kaiser for 30 years and this is beyond me. Got here at 2:30-3, still haven't been seen at 4:37 as I write this review. Crying and in pain. Whole time the workers are just laughing and joking about their own days.

Yelp
I have been a kaiser member for decades, and can walk into any Kaiser pharmacy and get meds. And I have done that 3 times at KP-Modesto. Each time has been after regular hours, around 7-8pm. During Covid-19, the security screening is straight forward. Temp check, sanitize, answer questions......pass and enter. The Pharmacy is usually not busy in the evening. Short wait, at the most 1-3 ppl in line. Counter staff are friendly and professional. I work in essential services, and have been to nearly every Kaiser hospital in Northern CA. KP-Modesto runs pretty smooth. Why only 3 stars? Because I'm only reviewing the Rx and lobby security. Never used the ER or any other services. But this is one of the newer-modern KP hospitals, with a huge parking lot. Located on Dale Rd, less than 5 miles from Hwy 99.

Yelp
I've had the experience of being an a patient in the hospital and since I'm a Kaiser member, seeing Doctors for appointments etc. My Dr wants amazing, professional knowledgeable and sweet. My daughter has her last two babies there and the nurses and phenomenal! My baby had her last daughter, River Marie, who was born with trisomy 18. We knew this while she was pregnant and my beautiful daughter chose to go through with the pregnancy. Very hard to do however every single nurse either prayed with us, cried with us, hugged and went over and above. Thank you Kaiser for for what was a horrible experience into a not so horrible one

Esmeralda G.

Yelp
They really needs to work with who is in charge on keeping the patient rooms clean as well the bathrooms specially when those areas needs to be and keep clean, firts time we have to be in this hospital and is been sach bad experience.

Empress L.

Yelp
This hospital sucks .....horrible service some of the nurses are rude and have had several problems in the past at this location anyone who has Kaiser should definetly sign up with a better establishment not people friendly at all i tell everyone i know dont leave your life in kaisers hands cant be trusted period. Find a better hospital and a better health plan

Shereelynn L.

Yelp
I have been a member of Kaiser for a longtime. I am feed up. I would NOT recommend KAISER to my worst enemy. The only reason I have stay with Kaiser was because I absolutely love my primary care doctor. It is unfortunate that he is not able to treat the pain that I have been going through over the last year and a half. Pain Management has done nothing but use me as a guinea pig to try different medication that I have had reactions to or slept for days on end. They do not prescribe opiates. I tried everything that they have offered. My pain has become so bad that I have panic attacks now. I'm not able to do daily living activities. It's hard for me to clean. It's hard for me to even get out of bed, I can't sit too long. I can't stand too long. Can't walk very far. My friends and family are astonished at the pain that I have put myself through by staying with Kaiser. My daughter who is a nurse cannot understand why the doctor will not prescribe pain medication after I've gone through all of their other recommendations. They tell me there's nothing they can do. I need to have a total knee replacement on my left knee and my right knee. But have been unable to lose weight to have surgery so I suffer in pain while I wait. I'm not waiting anymore. So if you are looking for a medical plan don't choose Kaiser.

G. C.

Yelp
Checking to this place for an appointment is horrible . Before there was a receptionist at every station if you needed to check in or just needed answers from a specific department, they had a regular person there to help . Now there are signs up ,long lines to wait in . Most people come to the doctor because we are not feeling well so why would we want to wait in long lines then to be told to walk back down the hall to our appointment . Now let's talk about the new seating . Last time I checked I was at a doctors office not at a Google center . They have high bar stools . Low to the ground armless chairs not a good choice . Waiting room chairs were fine not sure why they changed them . Bad investment kaiser . Spend the money on staff instead of uncomfortable chairs . Why would anyone want to sit on these chairs especially when doctor are running behind. Also Kaiser doctors are false advertisement on bio cards they said they treat patient as individual's with compassion and the highest possible quality of medical care. However then when you see them ,they say they have to follow Protocol and try this 1st . That is NOT treating us as individuals . Sound to me like Kaiser doctors can not practice how they should instead they have leadership pulling the strings and kaiser doctors are just their puppets. At UC Davis you go in on going stomach pain they send you out for all the test not just prescribe you antacids because they want to dig deeper and see why you having that ongoing stomach pain . Then asking for a doctors note is like pulling teeth . Had the flu only gave me one day off went to work with fever felt so weak could have caused an accident because kaiser said it's recommended ONLY one day off . I don't know who is recommending that but that does not sound right . I guess another recommendation from the kaiser puppeteer masters . It's seems kaiser just wants healthy patients so they can THRIVE , since they are a prepaid insurance the less you go to the doctor the more they thrive .

Yelp
I live in Oakdale. It's a 30 minute drive to get to the Kaiser Optometry. On my original visit the guy fitting me for my new glasses was so uninterested in me. I realize we aren't building a friendship but customer service is important. I just went to pick up my glasses and I'm not surprised at all but they were not measured correctly. They are progressive so they need to be right. For me to read anything I had to literally look at the ceiling. I knew the guy wasn't feeling his job that day. When I have to drive so far it stinks. This is my first time having Kaiser Insurance. Very disappointed and they have to redo my new glasses. Different day. In for an MRI. Running 1 hour behind schedule. No phone call before I drove here. Would have been nice. Lots of down time for the two people working the front desk.

Yelp
I had my entire third pregnancy with Kaiser and delivered there, the whole thing was a great experience! But honestly their food sucks, so make sure to get food from elsewhere if you're staying there for the night ‍ Also just a tip, most of their TVs have HDMI ports, we brought our fire stick and were able to connect it to the Internet. We watched Netflix our whole stay!

Yelp
33 weeks pregnant and I got off the phone with the L&D dr who told me to come in and be seen due to a pregnancy liver disease and pelvic pain. This pain is severe itching and causing me to itch so much my skin is breaking open from head to toe. The nurse who checked me in was beyond rude. She was telling me I can't be seen since nothing is pregnancy related. I stated it is and I JUST got off the phone with L&D. She continued to deny me and was laughing. After arguing with her she calls L&D and they told her YES I am to be seen. As of now currently waiting in the ER 33 weeks. If this were at St Joseph's they would have immediately sent me to L&D. I am definitely not having my child at Kaiser. Having the medical coverage through them alone has been a nightmare and my whole prenatal experience with them has been hell. I most definitely will be taking myself and my children off Kaiser when open enrollment comes. I've never experienced such rude individuals working in healthcare.

Yelp
Here for an ophthalmology (3rd floor) appointment today. One area they have changed is they have converted handicapped designated parking spaces for their pharmacy department without removing the asphalt painted handicap logo . They should not be doing this and should be converting non-handicapped designated spaces for the pharmacy department. Poor form Kaiser. The hospital has you greeted by a pleasant male wearing a mask and handing out disposable masks to entrants in need. I like this approach because it's classy, appropriate., pro-active and welcoming. Nice move Kaiser. There are plenty of hand sanitizer machines on the floors I've trafficked today and hand washing stations positioned at the entrance of this building. Feel comfortable being here with all the sanitization in place and the written COVID-19 policies in place.

Yelp
LABOR AND DELIVERY! I had a very bad experience here and I will not get into detail, however all i will say is to the other mothers try to go else wear if you would like a NATURAL birth. Many of the labor and delivery care team lacked good bed side manner. And is so quick to jump to a C-section as if a C-section is something they need to get done on there end. I had the absolute worse care team here and have found the best care team at sutter Gould.

Yelp
If I could give Kaiser negative stars I would. Not just Modesto location but all of Kaiser. This medical system is a very great example of why there is a lot of mis information in other parts of the United States regarding California. This is not healthcare. This is a popularity contest. Kaiser thinks if we are nice then everyone will not notice we do not ACTUALLY do healthcare. Let's start with the ER. What a JOKE! Kaiser puts ER on the building but you are actually sent to an urgent care type situation and if the problems have been going on a while, FORGET any care. Oh, and don't come into the Kaiser foundation as a member with any bad health or habits because they do forget that not everyone has been a part of their brainwashing their entire life and just sometimes you are going to have to actually help a patient in order for them to thrive. HMMM- let's discuss PCP visits as well- they get canceled. So... you cannot go to ED as they are no help and you cannot seem to get in with the PCP so what do you do? Oh, but wait, you can call the nurse line. The nurse can set you up with a phone visit in a week maybe. And yes, PHONE-no video. (Assessment skills a must with no video) Last time I checked, diagnosis was outside the scope of a nurse. Speaking of nurses, let's discuss the "Journey to Magnet" in the ER. Newsflash, magnet status cannot happen without physicians. Or for that matter, without nurses- we were in the so-called ER 2 hours and saw one nurse only after an allergic anaphylactic reaction. Which brings me to my next point- radiology. Take my spouse to dr for this large protrusion seen with the naked eye. Two CT scans and an MRI later, there is absolutely no mention of this obvious defect. Please tell me why the radiologist at Kaiser do not have the same standards as other radiologist? Every single scan I have EVER had outside of this so-called health system the radiologist made note of everything he/she saw in that scan. Well not at Kaiser. You must see a surgeon for that. So, let's talk about the surgeon referral. Spouse gets a call to set up surgery. WHAT? No one has told us what this is, there has been no mention on any of the scans but you want to just schedule someone to cut it out? All of this seems very surreal. Almost third world or meat market. I noticed that there are no email addresses listed for the important folks in Kaiser anywhere on the web. I wonder is it because you think everything is fine in your system (which is usually the case) or you do not want to know otherwise? Not just members can give valuable input. The people who love them and know them the best may have some knowledge as well. Kaiser has the pre-set treatment plans and it does not matter if the MD thinks that a test is not necessary, they have to order it which puts large delays on care. For example- currently spouse has an ulnar nerve problem that has intensified to severe pain and affecting daily life. Went to DR, DR identifies that this is classic symptoms of the ulnar nerve so we need to take that route. HOWEVER- when she goes to order the necessary path, the PC tells her she must do Xray first. WHY? Last I checked nerves do not show on Xray. OK so now, she must wait for the Xray to show nothing to move to the nerve study to move to some relief. Meanwhile, you cannot get appointments for a month out and the nerve is dying more every day. So, I ask, when the nerve dies and the finger becomes useless from all the time we have spent unnecessarily, will Kaiser be supporting us when the spouse can no longer do the job that requires complete use of BOTH hands? I also ask, is ANY of the treatments that Kaiser does evidence based? Let's continue the so-called ED care. When you get there and sign in, they send you to "ED whatever letter". Dr comes in with his agenda. No discussion, just an agenda. The agenda is basically telling the patient that what they are here for is not an emergency and they need to follow up with the PCP. (See previous statement regarding cancellations and keep that in the front of this story). Well, then we go for a CT scan where an allergic reaction occurred and guess what- there is an ACTUAL emergency department complete with nurses and techs- no further care or knowledge- but an actual ed. We have been battling the same issues over and over again since MAY. And not without a lot of pushing and advocating. I hope Kaisers Russian roulette with my spouse works in their favor. Kaiser probably should hope that also. Every patient is not made from the same mold. Every patient does not need the same things and will at times present differently than others. It is cheaper to litigate bad care in this country than to actually give good care and prevent litigation. Food for thought. We as the patient/consumer are the only ones that can fix a bad situation. If you do not like the care, please do not settle-advocate for yourself! And unfortunately, with Kaiser, you will have to advocate very hard to

Yelp
Get more wheelchairs! Especially at the front main entrance for people being dropped off and they need a wheel chair.

Yelp
Came in for a check up and shots for my 3 year old. Was treated horribly by the RN SIMAR K GILL. Very rude and kept on voicing her personal opinion on things. We nicely told her to stop and to keep it professional but she wouldn't stop. She took it so far to where my wife and I felt the need to stand up for ourselves, which we did. She then had the nerves to go on KP.org notes and stated that we intentionally let go of our daughters leg when she was giving her shots. She was the one who slipped with the needle and made my daughter bleed. Kaiser and parents if you're reading this, don't ever let Simar K Gill give another shot to your patients and patients don't ever let her give shots to you or your loved ones. You'll regret it if you do. BTW, We made the earliest appointment and was the first one to get called in and it still took them 2 hours just to give immunization shots.

Yelp
Kind staff. Clean and swift service. I don't mind the drive from Stockton to Modesto. Parking on the last visit was terrible. One parking area was full. I didn't anticipate the crowd on a Monday of this week. So do arrive early for your appointment for a closer parking.
