Kajkanten’s chalets surround Vrångö’s peaceful harbour; Everything can be reached either on foot or two wheels. There are three churches on the island and from the old boat pilot lookout – a hilltop wooden cabin – you can take in far-reaching views of the Gothenburg Archipelago. boathouse apartments, picnic benches and barbecues, surrounding Vrångö’s quiet harbour. The majority of this mini resort has been made with locally sourced wood and then painted white, just like the rest of the island. The island is all about being in great outdoors and at night you retreat to the cosy harbourside self contained cabins. Håkan and Evelina were fabulous hosts and were on hand for any requests (including taking luggage to and from the ferry on a buggy) The island shop is less than a minute’s stroll away and it’s opposite a simple but outstanding seafood restaurant, Fiskeboa. Breakfast boxes are very generous and comprise bread, cheese, eggs, juice muesli and fruit. Lovely authentic island getaway from city stress.
