Yelp
Bingsu here is delicious, though a bit pricey at $11+ for each one. However, their other items are a hit-and-miss. I wanted to try their corn cheese on Japanese bread, and yeah, technically I got what I ordered, but I expected the corn cheese to be cooked together and with some flavor, not room temperature canned corn with shredded cheese thrown on top. It was also in their toaster oven for nearly 15-20 minutes (I finished my binsu and still had to wait), but the cheese was still not melted, and the corn wasn't hot. It was so not worth the $11 + tax.
I've gone in several times now, and something I've noticed is it seems like they're often overstaffed. Employees are usually sitting around, chatting or on their phones. I understand that there are lulls in the day, but this behavior looks especially bad when the dirty tables haven't been wiped down and the floors need to be swept. The work distribution also seems inequitable. When I went in today, there were 3 employees: 1 woman who seemed to be both ringing up customers and bringing out food, another who was making food at times, and a 3rd person who was seated and on his phone the entire time. Of course, as a customer, I don't truly know how much each employee has worked throughout the day, but blatantly being on your phone for 30 minutes straight in full view of customers looks incredibly unprofessional. The 2 women I interacted with were helpful and friendly, so no complaints there.
Ultimately, I'll come back because I do find their bingsu to be yummy, but I'll just need to reset my expectations for their staff work ethic and their savory menu items.
