Dinner here was the best meal we had in Athens. On Drakou Street, Kalamaki is one of the few good places in this area we wished we could return to. The staff is friendly and made some helpful suggestions. We had a terrific Greek salad of tomatoes and feta (IMO the Greek salad is a sign of how much care a restaurant takes)
It was GOOD. The corn pita was superb, eaten too fast to photograph! The dish of olives was great, and we had a divine baked eggplant with diced bell peppers, wild rice, and souvlaki skewers of BBQ pork and chicken, perfectly cooked. The house red wine was good and reasonably priced. Kudos to the staff and chef, they do things right! PS, the bill for our feast was only 36 euros. Highly recommend.
