Google
I like to try local eateries and had originally went to look for a coffee shop ... Instead, I found KALO BOMBS! Got there a little early (opens daily at 12:00) so waited in the shade ... They have a bench on the mural side. I ordered a "Kalo Bomb Nui" ... pa'i'ai in an "acai-bowl" style, with granola and almonds. It was nice and thick, not overly sweet and totally delicious. That particular item was a little pricey, but I figure it's healthier and it'll keep me satisfied longer! I'm not knocking breakfast foods, but this was definitely a nice find!!! The creative and friendly owners were on site working the kitchen and the counter. They've created a cute, culturally healthy popular spot. I'm guessing they're busy from the time they open their window until closing ... People know a good thing!!! Oh, they had a daily special board with a smoked meat and onions plate that sounded ono too ... 🤤 Next time!!! I will definitely visit again!

Google
We stopped here to get ice cream. We really enjoyed it. The acai bowl was different, but overall it was good. Its a small place always has a few people in line so be patient. Thank you.

Kaimana Hila

Google
Kalo Bombs was amazing! Something very different when eating the pa'ia ai. It has a sweet taste Kulolo ice cream on bottom, PERFECT!! I wish they could sell stickers/apparel though.

Google
I visited here for the first time n I looove it so much 😋I never even know about pa'i'ai and it was very tasty with kulolo ice cream, coconut cream and fresh strawberries 😍👍💯

Google
the line wasn't that long when I get there, but people are keep coming i ordered açai bomb. it is delicious! must try

Google
I always get the Pa'i 'ai bomb with Haupia ice cream and it's more than enough to share but they do have a keiki size. It's so good!!

Google
Kalo bombs is the westside version of the sweet lady of waiahole. Stop by here if you need a cold snack after the beach. Most people will say the keiki bomb is good enough to satisfy their cravings, but in the picture, this is the pa'i ai bomb w haupia ice cream. Next time, I want to try the acai one, I heard that was the best but they was sold out when I got there. (Later afternoon so it's understandable)

Google
This was the perfect dessert it was dough and creamy with the topping it add a little crunch to it. It had all three elements I was looking for in a dessert. I may have topped it with a caramelized apple or a hint of carmel sauce. Other than that, it was perfect. I will be stopping back when I'm in the neighborhood. I hope this helps you out and have a great day

Yelp
This place is too good! Something different than your usual ice cream or shave ice. I was new to eating pa'i 'ai so when I tried it as a kalo bomb, I was so impressed! We got the pa'i 'ai bomb with coconut ice cream and I love how the pa'i 'ai isn't too sweet! It has a really thick creamy texture like poi and it goes great with the coconut ice cream and the niu cream and flakes. It's a pretty big portion as well! Can definitely make you full and satisfied. This is a perfect treat to get after a hike or the beach!

Yelp
Totally worth the scenic cruise to the west side! Ohhh so yummy and filling Absolute FAVE and MUST HAVE!!

Yelp
I have been wanting to try this place for so long qnd I finally got to try them today! Their hours are very limited so make sure to plan accordingly if you want to go (keep in mind that they will close earlier if they sell out)! The service was good, extremely friendly! Theres a decent amount of parking so there shouldn't be an issue there. It's grab-n-go but they do have a bench on the side of the storefront where you can sit and enjoy your desserts. I got the keiki bomb with ube ice cream which let me just say, the ube ice cream and pa'i 'ai combo is top tier!! The texture of the pa'i 'ai with the creamy ice cream makes for a perfect sweet treat after a nice day at the beach! I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a yummy dessert spot!

Yelp
Got introduced to this place by my bf at the time. Anyway this place Is a must visit but unfortunately is open only on Thursday-Sunday but definitely a must try if you're in the area. Just a tip it doesn't always open on time either. Just a little tiny window that generates little bowls of amazingness. There isn't any tables or inside dining available. Staff isn't the friendliest but still worth a try. I Had the pa'i'ai bomb which consists of fresh kalo pa'i'ai, nui flakes, and nui cream, paired with your choice of ice cream. I went with the ube as well as one with haupia. You can choose kulolo, haupia, ube, strawberry, or cookies and cream. They'll run you about $12 per bowl. Plenty of parking available in the lot as well as on the side streets. The pa'i'ai here is sooooo good. It's so smooth and chewy in texture. I plan on frequenting this place again and again to get my fix.

Yelp
Whenever I come out to the Westside, kalo bombs is on my list. My friend visits from LA and loves to come here. I tried the new kalo mochi bites, so fresh and hot outta da fryer! Really liked those, more mochi than usual poi donuts in the ring. We love it so much be got it as our pre lunch ice cream. We've come to late in the past where they would be sold out for the day by say 1pm.

Yelp
Me and the best friend went here on a sunny day around 1pm, it was a hot weekend so we wanted to cool down and support more local businesses. Since we live on the west side, we are much closer to Kalo Bombs than everyone else that lives in town hehe. Its located in this brown building where Country side cafe is located and right next to Deluxe nail and spa, you will find a tiny window on the left side of the building and you will see butterfly wings painted on the wall where the shop is located. The line wasn't too bad, we waited only 10minutes but I was observing and I only see one guy working there. I give him props because its very hard to run the whole operation by yourself especially dealing with possible impatient haoles and locals lol. Anyway, you just wait in line, order, then you stand there and wait for your order to made for you on spot. We both ordered the Pa'i'ai bomb and as for the ice cream scoop choice, I got the Kuliouo scoop and my friend got the Haupia scoop. I actually I really liked the coconut cream he used for drizzle! It compliments well with the pa'i'ai! It feels great to support local business especially when their products are locally made here! Will be back here again after a beach day!

Yelp
Heard about this place but haven't had a chance to visit since I live in town. Came here after spending the day at Makaha Beach. Decided to spoil myself with a tasty cold treat! Kalo Bombs is located right off of Farrington Highway close to the Waianae Coast Comprehensive Center. Don't drive to fast or you'll miss it! They have lots of free shared parking spaces right in front of their spot. Ordering is easy! We came here during the weekday and after the late lunch hour so we were lucky not to run into any crowds. The girl behind the ordering counter was the sweetest. We ordered our Kalo bombs, took some yelp worthy photos and enjoyed them outside in the shade. The kalo bomb is the perfect treat.. not to sweet and the perfect texture. I wish they had a town location but the drive out here was worth it!
google avatar

Yelp
Perfect sweet treat for a hot day! Not too sweet just right. We tried their best seller and loved the combination of everything. A must try when you're on this side of the island!

S G.

Yelp
Not sure if there's new owners but there's some new faces. Their customer service is way better, and they're nicer. However the paiai- was junk! It tasted like it was old and kinda hard. I knw that wasn't fresh!! And you could even tell by the color. Like when poi is old it has that brownish color. I don't know it was def not good tho! I've noticed there hasn't been long line like before

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place for so long but I've been hesitant to make the drive. Luckily, I finally got to try them at the Oahu Foodies Feastival this past Friday. The service was friendly and quick. Their ube bomb was the BOMB! It has Pa'i'ai with ube ice cream and ubae cookie crumbs topped with ube drizzle and niu flakes. It satisfied my sweet tooth, without being too overly sweet. I enjoyed all the different textures from the creamy ice cream to the crunch of the cookies. It was big enough for me to share, but it was hard to! I enjoyed every last bite. I know now that they're definitely worth the drive to the West side. I'm already craving my next kalo bomb. Support local!

Jay Q.

Yelp
This will be the last time I got to this place. I thought I'd give them a try again to see if they would get my order right but again...another fail with hard cold kalo instead of fresh.

Yelp
I am a long time customer of Kalo Bombs and love their pa'iai bomb but was so disappointed by their customer service. We arrived about 5 minutes after they were scheduled to open (11:00) and noticed a long line. When we got closer other customers were on their phone attempting to get in contact as their window was closed. Around 11:20 two girls arrived and shared they would be opening in 5-10 minutes. We continued to wait for 10 minutes as they set up their open sign and open flag which seemed a little ironic as they did not open their window until 5 minutes after that. Once they opened they set out their tip jar which was annoying as we had already been waiting 30 minutes past their posted open time. We love kalo bombs but this makes me not want to come back.

Zahin H.

Yelp
Such nice customer service and delicious ice cream. Kulolo flavor was delish. Pa'i'i helps balance out the sweetness.

Yelp
Kalo bomb is located in Waianae, I got to try this little hole in the wall after hiking the pink pill box. There isn't much on the menu now but still worth trying! My friend and I ordered the Pa'i 'Ai bomb with haupia Dave's ice cream. The Kalo was sooo soft like mochi and the haupia ice cream complemented it so well. It was very delicious and refreshing. I didn't care for the coconut flakes so maybe next time I'll skip it. If you bring your own spoon you can get a dollar off your order!! Since we were the first ones there, service was very quick. There is seating on the side of Kalo bomb to enjoy your sweet treat. The painting of moon phases is very beautiful and the colorful taro leaf. I would definitely come back next time I'm in the area!
google avatar

Yelp
I've gone a total of 7 times. 3 times sold out just one hour after opening. 4 times closed right at opening. Their neighbor said they haven't been open for weeks. I give up on trying this place.
google avatar

Lauren L.

Yelp
Looked for something to cool us down whilst on the west side and wanted to try this unique Hawaiian twist to a basic ice cream place. What makes this place different is the topping of pounded taro- texture is not exactly like poi but similar to chewy mochi. Not much taste by itself but it's meant to be a texture topping. Overall this place was okay. We felt like it was alike overpriced. Small little shack and small parking area. Things could be all customizable to what you like. Good for the experience but not sure if I'd return.

Yelp
If you're on the west side- you have to stop by Kalo Bombs! They specialize in Pa'i 'ai which is made from kalo (taro). Pa'i 'ai is the stage before poi when you're pounding kalo. If you're the type of person who would describe their perfect dessert as "not too sweet" pa'i 'ai is the perfect add-on to balance out the sweetness of ice cream or acai. Kalo Bombs is a grab-n-go, takeout only spot. There's ample parking and a few benches to sit and enjoy your Pa'i 'ai treat alongside the establishment, but I highly recommend taking your kalo bomb to a nearby beach to enjoy. Kalo Bombs sources their ingredients locally. The ice cream is locally made and include flavors like haupia, ube, kūlolo, strawberry, blueberry cheesecakes, and cookies and cream. I tried their Pa'i 'ai bomb with haupia (coconut) ice cream, fresh pa'i 'ai (4oz), niu (coconut) cream and niu flakes. Visually, there was more to be desired- but that's on me for picking a white ice cream paired with the dully colored pa'i ai. Looks aside, it is so delicious! The haupia ice cream is perfectly balanced with the pa'i 'ai making for the best "not too sweet" dessert and the coconut shavings add great texture. It's soft, creamy, not too sweet, and has 3 different textures- the perfect combination. They do have specials that are very colorful and visually appealing. Look out for their whiteboard where they write their weekly specials, or follow them on social media to see what new things they will be offering. I was surprised to see a savory bowl as a special- with laulau, lomi salmon, and pa'i 'ai! I can't wait to try out their acai with pa'i 'ai next. If there's one thing about me, it's that I will always be the biggest advocate for locally sourced everything. Kalo Bombs is an innovator in the Hawaiian foods space and I can't wait to see what they do next!

Johnnette M.

Yelp
Kalo Bombs parking isn't the greatest, service was great! It's alittle pricey but anything to support local I'm gained to try. Good luck Kalo Bombs.

Yelp
the perfect sweet treat for after snorkeling. I'm visiting my friend in Hawaii and she brought me to the West side of the island to snorkel. Afterwards, we came here to grab a little sweet treat. My friend got the love bomb from the specials menu and I got the Pa'i'ai bomb with ube ice cream (you get to choose ice cream flavor) which was quite tasty. Pa'i'ai is apparently pounded taro, it was like liquid unsweetened mochi. The lady was really friendly and the menu seemed very local.
google avatar

Jazelle A.

Yelp
This place is such a treat. The Pa'i'ai, the haupia ice cream, the coconut cream - yum! Definitely worth the drive. We always go at noon to make sure we get our fix before they sell out. Parking has never been bad either.

Patrick C.

Yelp
I should have read the most recent reviews before going here (twice). took 25+ minutes to get there on a Thursday afternoon at 4pm just to arrive at a closed-up shop. Initially I was just disappointed (as oppose to being irritated) because the sign on the front did say 11am -5 or until they sold out. I assumed they were "sold out" before I got there. Their menu outside had alot of items blacked out anyway our schedule only left us to try one more time on Friday when they opened at 11am. Got there at 11:10 and as I was driving up I did see a few people outside the window, but did not notice any activity inside. Waited 25 more minutes (which is 25 minutes longer than we should have) to just up and leave. Everyone else had already left. don't know if they ever opened that day or not, the menu on the wall indicating sold-out items still unchanged from the day before. What is the point of a "contact us" button on your page if you don't even respond to your customers? Friends and I are convinced the good reviews are paid social media influencers anyway. I'm sure there are just as good places for bowls elsewhere on the island.

Christopher B.

Yelp
The only negative is they not open every day. Other than that, nothin but good stuff to say about it. Perfect spot after camping/hiking/beach day whatever

Yelp
Ayeeee this place *is* pretty bomb! I've heard that Kalo Bombs was one of the best places on the west side to get dessert, if not, the best, so after my haircut appointment in Ko Olina, I decided to make the drive over. Going towards Yokes and Makaha, the shop is found on the mauka (same side as the mountains) side of the road in the same building as Countryside Cafe right before Waianae Comp. It's a walk-up window kind of place, with a simple menu of different pa'i'ai (think of it like the sweet version of poi) combinations. I ended up getting the: *pa'i'ai bomb with haupia ice cream ($12): sticky, sweet, with creamy coconut flavor, this was satisfying for a hot day. *strawberry shortcake bomb ($14.50): with strawberry ice cream, pa'i'ai, coconut cream and flakes, pound cake, fresh strawberries, whipped cream, and strawberry drizzle, this creation is strawberried out to the max. Pretty good! This definitely hit the spot on a hot day on the West Side; glad I got to try!
google avatar

Irene M.

Yelp
As I'm enjoying my Mackie from The Sugar Hut I see this sign Kalo Bombs! Where have you been all this time?!? What an amazing combination creation that supersede many sweet treats in so many ways...it's just brilliant!! I got the Pa'i'Ai Bomb with Ube Ice Cream and it's life changing!! So fresh and yummy it's your choice of Ice Cream topped with fresh Kalo Pa'iAi and Niu Cream and Flakes (Coconut). Along the side of the building is a long bench with a beautiful mural to capture that shot to show off all that freshness, I was so at my happy place. They do sell out so follow them on Instagram @kalobombs but please support local as this is just something so special!! Thank you!!

Yelp
Soooo Ono, We went 2 days in a roll, I'm so glad I no live on Oahu anymore I would be going at least 3 times a week. We also bought Fresh Mangos (in season) dat too was Ono Everybody that visits the West side should definitely stop and try a Kalo Bomb, You won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Cidney L.

Yelp
Delicious, and so filling. My first time trying pa'i ai, and I would eat it again. Just the right amount of sweetness when you eat it with ice cream and the other toppings. A bowl is more than enough for 2.
google avatar

Sydni K.

Yelp
I've had Kalo Bombs on my radar for quite some time, and since my friends and I were making the trip out to Yoks, we decided to stop there along the way. The parking lot is a bit small, but we were able to find a stall. The line was also a little long, but it was definitely worth the wait. I order the pa'i ai bomb, which had a scoop of pa'i ai, haupia ice cream, and coconut flakes. It's pretty similar to the sweet lady of Waiahole, but I personally liked the pa'i ai better than the kulolo. The pa'i ai adds a nice balance to the sweet ice cream, and it has a soft and chewy texture. This will definitely be my go-to stop when I'm on this side of the island.

Manuel E.

Yelp
Always looking for them in Wai Kai on Thursdays and sometimes we see them in Waikele what the truck event, but hit or miss. We usually get them as a dessert after we come from 604 restaurant in Waianae! Always exited to see them along with the food truck events !! Tummy Yummy approved !!
google avatar

Roxy W.

Yelp
Location: The shop is located in a shopping center near Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center. There is a few parking spaces in front and more parking spaces behind the shopping center. Hours: They open at 12pm daily but sell out around 2-3pm. Food: They offer pa'i ai with Dave's ice cream and coconut cream. It is such a delicious combination. I highly recommend the Pa'i 'Ai Bomb with Haupia (coconut) ice cream. Cost: The Pa'i 'Ai Bomb cost $10. Follow them on Instagram for updates on hours of operation.

Yelp
The bessssssssstttt dessert!!! I don't have a sweet tooth but my husband was able to convince me to try this place. I am sooo happy that we tried it. This place is like a hole in the wall. Got the ube kalo which made me dance. It has ube crinkle toppings too!!! Just the right balance of sweetness. The kalo has like a mochi/sticky consistency.. must try!!!
google avatar

Eliza T.

Yelp
Y'all it's sooooo goood !!!!!!! I ordered the Oreo kalo bomb and I was in love tbh ! It's so unfortunate that they close at 5... but it's worth the drive I think !
google avatar

CJ L.

Yelp
They don't disappoint in taste! We tried the specials and the regular Pa'i Ai with Haupia ice cream, Niu cream and flakes. Location is in the West side of Hawaii. We love coming to Wainae for the best Kalo bomb ever!!! Not too far for Makaha Beach park. Everything we ordered was tasteful and scrumptious!!!

Yelp
Here's a seriously addicting treat to try: Kalo Bombs! This reminded me of a hyper local version of an acai bowl, or even the sweet lady of Waiahole dessert from Waiahole Poi factory, but BETTER. Kalo Bombs is a small little storefront in Waianae that serves up fresh pa'i 'Ai mixed with other treats to make up one mean bowl of goodness. My husband found them on IG and we have been wanting to try ever since. We had our chance this past Sunday as we were cruising down the west side. We arrived at around 230p on a Sunday to a pretty healthy line out front. We noticed some of their items were already sold out, but not all, so we wanted to give it a go! We ordered and shared the Fruit Bomb which was pa'i 'Ai, coconut flakes, haupia ice cream and bananas. The bowl is a little pricey at $11.50, but the quality of the pa'i 'Ai is outstanding. The first bite was heavenly. So earthy, sweet, delicious. The bananas really set the whole thing off, too! I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it considering I don't care for poi, and kulolo is hit or miss for me. But this pa'i 'Ai was delicious! They have different specials on a board, including what sounded interesting to me: Oreo Bomb and a bomb that even had smoked meat! I would be curious to try the savory variation. I truly appreciate a place like this that serves up some unique treats with a true local flavor. It appeared as though those in line came from the beach, and some of them looked like they made the trek all the way from town. Be sure to stop by and try a Kalo Bomb your next time in Waianae! Also remember, they close early if they sell out, so the earlier the better.

Yelp
Omg. Omg. I love this place. The Kalo and the Pai ai is sooo fresh and sooo delicious. I know everyone goes for the Kalo Bombs and the Pai ai bombs and really I mean I love ice cream too. And don't get me wrong, they are delicious.... But what makes it is the kalo. And it's relatively affordable too for locally sourced foods. I need to go more and try more menu items though. I love that the owner is always the one at the window. You know he is really passionate about his business and he is known in the community for perpetuating culture. Continue on Braddah.
google avatar

Gabriela L.

Yelp
This place is amazing! Super good ice cream, really good flavor, and great toppings. The ice cream comes fast served in either large or small. There was no line, we got our ice cream in under 3 minutes. The place in total is very small and has outdoor siting on the side. Overall very good ice cream and pounded taro!
google avatar

Steve T.

Yelp
I love my Kalo so you know I'll be here. Minus a star cause my kulolo ice cream was too hard. She told us was extra frozen. Had to wait little while before the spoon can scoop the ice cream. But after the was perfect. Almost was going eat all the paiai but opted to wait. Sometimes I eat poi and ice cream and home oh so good. For those visiting from mainland wanting to try kalo or Poi but not sure. Try this place here in a dessert. The hawaiian acai bowl lol
google avatar

Kai F.

Yelp
Super tasty Banana Cream Bomb. Top tier ice cream. Way too much for just me to eat but I still attempted it and got through a third. My recommendation is to bring someone to share with you. & the staff was delightful.

Yelp
I am a huge fan of kalo. Everything about it just has me like the heart eye emoji. Kalo bombs really brings it! If you've got Pa'i'ai, I will come to you OK?! Of course it was friends on all social media platforms that brought this business to my attention. Kalo, pa'i'ai, dessert, its a done deal. I had an appointment in Kapolei and decided that it was close enough to have a reason to check this place out. When I entered their location in my maps, I was wrong lol. 23m drive still a ways, whoa! Still, I ventured on. For sweets, I will. So, to say it was a journey would be pretty accurate IMO. I'm not very familiar with spots this far West, but with maps it was easy. Its on the main road so nothing confusing at all. Parking is a plenty so no probs there. I went early so maybe that could help. Only because of my appointment I was there before opening. By 11am, the line was already well established. Don't sleep on it, especially if you have to travel far. You don't wanna get there and they've sold out! The regular size is easily shared. Might be a good idea instead of trying to bring it home. I ate what I could when I got to the car but I still had 75% left and tried to rush home so my fam could have a taste too. It wasn't the best idea because when I threw it in the freezer, the pa'i'ai became hard so I had to leave it out til that thawed enough... It was still good, just harder to enjoy. Lesson learned. Eat all or bring the G gang! Since pa'i'ai isn't easy for me to access I had to pick some up for later. We finished it as soon as the container was opened. So ono! Gotta get the bigger container next time. Overall, I like this place. Its just not convenient for me. My Dr would probably say that's for the best. I never would've put pa'i'ai with a dessert, but it works. I say check it out at least once!

Yelp
#20 for 2021 Pa'i'ai Bomb with kūlolo ice cream is a winner! Able to taste various textures, natural sweetness, slight crunchiness, and creaminess. Ingredients tasted very fresh. Made with love and tastes refreshing. Ono! I've pounded pa'i'ai before which takes a lot of time, love and care. Perfect for an afternoon treat or after swimming. I was done eating mines before we reached home. My son wanted blueberry bomb with blueberry cheesecake ice cream. His order also included pa'i'ai, kūlolo, niu creme, and niu flakes. He said it's good and bad meaning blueberry bomb is yummy, yet he's too full to finish his dessert. He agreed when he arrived home, we'll cover and place it in the freezer for him to enjoy later today. If you're in Waianae, must try one! Support and buy local.

Yelp
Came here after a hike to try it out since I was recommended to try this place out. It is located in Waianae, the same lot where The Beach House by 604 is located. Never really knew what this was until I got there, their menu was very informative and they gave translations for their menu items (educating everyone on Olelo Hawaii). To sum it up, it's Kalo (taro) that is served on top of ice cream or you can order the Kalo by itself. I ended up trying the Pa'i 'Ai Bomb with Ube Ice Cream and extra Crushed Oreo topping. The Kalo blended really well with the ice cream and it was super good. I just wished that the Kalo to Ice Cream ratio was even as you get more of the ice cream than the Kalo. They have other items on their menu and the combinations for the Kalo Bombs are endless as you can customize it on your own. I do want to comeback and try more of the different flavors. If you are ever in the Waianae area, give this place a shot. You can also order the Kalo Bomb itself and eat it with your own ice cream.

Yelp
Kalo Bombs is on Farrington Hwy. across from Mailiili ( almost spelled out Moiliili ) Beach. On the Tamura's side of a two-story building, it is a take out place with a window for placing one's order. Fair amount of parking for the four or five establishments that share the structure...in front and in back. There is bench seating (2) adjacent to Kalo Bombs fronting Deluxe Nails & Spa. Menu is limited but you can make your own or select a special Bomb...I chose the Pa'i'ai Bomb. Firstly, it was filling. If you go after lunch...unless you have a large appetite...you will bomb your stomach and quite possibly the toilet. The Pa'i'ai is as reviewers on Yelp mentioned, a cross between Poi and Kulolo. And as someone wrote; the Pa'i'ai cuts some of the sweetness from the ice cream - a choice amongst Haupia ( my afternoon selection), Kulolo, or Ube. Coconut cream and flakes top off this dessert. Did I not mention that I like coconut/coconut-flavored food items?! A caution to all diabetics: the Pa'i'ai Bomb is full of sweetness.

Yelp
On my recent visit to Oahu I finally made it to the west side and tried Kalo Bombs. I got the Pa'i 'Ai bowl with kulolo ice cream and my husband got his with haupia ice cream. Both tasted amazing and fresh! So worth the drive!

Yelp
Kalo Bombs is located in the big brown building that is also home to Countryside Cafe and Staxx, a small walk up window to order and go. Usually there is a long line but it goes really fast and from the times I have gone everyone is practicing social distancing and wearing masks. What is really amazing is the Kalo that is grown all around the place. There are so many different kinds. I like to sit on the side and enjoy the view while I'm eating my Kalo bomb. The Bombs are flavorful packed with pa'i'ai. I love to get mine with Nutella for that chocolate fix! Pa'i'ai with ice cream is a great way to beat the heat. Bottom line: Kalo Bombs is the bomb! Just a tip: I would recommend following them on IG or Facebook for updates because they do sell out before closing time!

Yelp
This is a great spot to have a nice refreshing treat after a long day. Although the only issue here is they open whenever they feel like opening we waited for 20 minutes and nothing. Two other families were there with us waiting you just missed out on all of our business. I was looking forward to going to this place again after not having gone for a while just for this disappointment. I hope that this does not happen again and if it does then you should just change your hours so that you can start later. Then don't get me started about how early they run out of kalo bombs. They need to make more of them or something since they keep on running out of them early which is ridiculous. When you live as far as we do people have to understand that we'll be trying to get there later in the day. I've tried to go three times in the past week and haven't received a single one. I am honestly so done with this place and don't even want to come back. They probably won't be getting my business anytime soon if they are ever open when I am here this is honestly a joke at this point.

Yelp
Delicious! I saw this place on my friend's IG story a few days ago, and we happened to be driving on the west side and I noticed the store, so we made it a point to visit when they opened at 12pm. They opened a little bit earlier, but by the time it was 12, there was already a line - a great sign of a good business! We got the Keiki Bomb ($7- 6oz) which comes with Haupia or Kulolo ice cream pa'i'ai, coconut cream, and coconut shavings, along with a 1/2 pound of pa'i'ai ($10) to take home for my sister. The Keiki Bomb was delicious - the ice cream wasn't too sweet but was still extremely rich and refreshing, and the pa'i'ai (which I've never had before) helped to cut some of the sweetness of the ice cream and coconut cream, and had an interesting texture - thicker and chunkier than poi, and not sour like poi.

Yelp
7/11/20 I've been meaning to try Kalo Bombs, but they always sell out. Not knowing when I'd have the opportunity again, I tried half kulolo/haupia. Not a heavy coconut person, but I'm an ice cream person. I wanted just the ice cream minus the toppings because I thought it would be super sweet. But it wasn't AT ALL. Which was just my cup of tea! The kulolo ice cream wasn't the texture of ice cream per se, but I love kulolo. You could tell everything was FRESH, FRESH, FRESH! I'm huge on supporting small businesses and I wish you guys well! Just make sure you have blueberry ice cream the next time I come ok?

Yelp
Conveniently located right off the main road here this place offers some delicious options at a reasonable price. They have specials that save you some money as well as an option to buy their specialty spork for the ability to save on the next purchase. We went here with friends and enjoyed a nice cool treat after a day at the beach. Come support a local business if you are craving a nice treat in the area.

Yelp
Quick and friendly service! They were kind enough to wrap my order to go to ensure I didn't make a mess in the car. Lol! Ordered the keiki bomb, which consists of paiai, ice cream, coconut cream, and coconut flakes. Amazing! Perfect treat for the scorching Saturday! Even my friend that doesn't eat anything taro devoured his! That's saying something! Great local place that we need to support! If you're down on the west side and need something cool, hit them up!

Yelp
Got the Pa'i'ai Bomb for $10 ($12.04 total with tax) with acai. So good and would definitely come back. It's not overly too sweet and felt pretty light. The texture was smooth with the poi, everything about the texture was amazing. Highly recommend if you're a huge fan of pa'i'ia! The Kalo bomb ($5)on the right was pretty good. Had everything besides the ice cream flavor and it's pretty good for its price! You just order at the window and the menu is outside. They also had a bench to sit to look at all the Kalos around the store. Parking is also available as well there! They open everyday from 12pm until they sell out. So go before 8pm! For sure would come back to try the other flavors, since the time we went there, they only had acai. Coming back since it's close by and its also near the beach so you can get a sweet treat after a swim
