The 11 Best Dock and Dine Restaurants in Fort Lauderdale, Florida | Eater Miami

"For an upper-scale pre- or post-boating option, Kaluz is primo. Its Fort Lauderdale location is on the western shore of the Intracoastal Waterway, a stone’s throw from the ever-cozy village of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. Save room for a slice of its key lime pie with a graham cracker-meets-pecan crust."

Where to Find Fall Cocktails in Miami and Fort Lauderdale | Eater

"New American cuisine meets relaxing waterfront views at this popular Fort Lauderdale eatery. This fall, enjoy the temperate weather and sit outside in the breeze, or take your meal to go. Choose from modern takes on classic American dishes, such as hamburgers and crab cakes, or go for something more decadent with an order of maple leaf duck confit. Pair those succulent bites with a sour sip, like a Gilded Grand, a mix of Grand Marnier, grapefruit juice, honey, and lemon juice. You can also snack on some Grand Marnier-soaked bread pudding for dessert." - Vox Creative

AMAZING Good Friday dinner at Kaluz Restaurant on a stunning evening looking out at the Intercoastal!!! I met up with a friend who dines here a lot, & I see why she loves it!!! The atmosphere is phenomenal. Indoor dining area is elegant and chic. Outdoor dining areas are more chill, but with a much better view of the water. Their is an outdoor bar next to a formal dining area and a casual seating spot. The food was delicious! We split the Tuna tartar and the crab salad for the Friday fish holiday. Large portions, fresh seafood, and unbeatable festive vibe. There was a 45 minute wait for a table at 7 pm. Service was top notch too. Valet parking. Highly recommen Kaluz Restaurant !!!

Started with the oysters & meatballs. Went so quickly wasn’t able to take a photo. 😂Enjoyed the crab salad, the fillet and baked potato is always a hit, The surf and turf was very good and the Seabass was yummy for those who enjoy that fish. Washed everything down with a bottle of Quilt. Finished with a slice of key lime. Recommend having a meal here if in the area. It is a bit loud, for those who aren’t from the US, as our guests who were visiting mentioned. All and all, we will be back. Great experience.

I brought my daughter to the Kaluz Fort Lauderdale location to celebrate her 20th birthday and the experience was pretty close to being just so so. Our server, Kaylan, practically ran through the menu highlights. She spoke so fast, I didn't understand a word she said. My daughter didn't enjoy her meal (roasted chicken), she said it tasted bland. I had the Cedar Plank Salmon. I've had better. The view is lovely being located right on the water and the valet attendant was pleasant. My future visits to Kaluz will only be to the Wellington or Plantation sites. They are on point with everything.

This is truly one of my favorite restaurants. Every time I visit, I enjoy the atmosphere, the service, and the overall experience. The food is really good — fresh, flavorful, and nicely presented. The menu has a good variety of options, and everything I have tried so far has been satisfying. It’s a place where you can count on a good meal every time. What I absolutely love the most is sitting outside by the water. The setting is incredibly pleasant and relaxing. Feeling the gentle breeze, hearing the sounds of the water, and watching the sunset creates such a beautiful atmosphere. It makes every visit feel special and peaceful. If you’re looking for a spot with good food, friendly service, and a perfect outdoor waterfront experience, this place is definitely worth visiting.

"I had an amazing experience at Kaluz! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. A special shout-out to her, (I can’t remember her name) who was especially kind and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was warm, and the service was impeccable. The food was delicious, and the overall experience was unforgettable. Thank you to the wonderful team at Kaluz for making our visit so special. We will definitely be back!

I had such a wonderful time at Kaluz with my daughter. The atmosphere was incredibly peaceful — sitting by the water while enjoying our meal added an extra layer of relaxation to the whole experience. The food was delicious, and the service was top-notch. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. It was one of those moments you just want to bottle up and remember. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a scenic, laid-back dining spot in Fort Lauderdale!

Yelp
One of the best lunches ever. It was my birthday and decided for a lunch at Kaluz's. We had been here several times in the past and always left happy and satisfied. When we got there yesterday we were lucky to get a table right by the glass overlooking the intracoastal on a very sunny and bright day. I ordered the chef recommended yellow tail tuna dish. Delicious!! My wife had the bistro salad and thoroughly enjoyed it. The gentleman that waited on us was both efficient and friendly. It turned out to be a very memorable birthday dining experience. Thanks!

Yelp
I enjoy coming to this restaurant because of the ambiance and how helpful the staff is. This is about my 5th time here and the food is very consistent when it comes to taste. They have indoor and outdoor seating right next to the water. The food is so delicious and comes out hot. The best part was the sauce on top of the octopus which I didn't get a picture of called Aji Amarillo Sauce. This sauce was a perfect pair for the roasted octopus and I even asked for it on the side for my chicken. The sauce had a great spice to it. This is the perfect spot to enjoy a celebration, date night, or just a regular outing. It's recommended to put in a reservation for a large party. They now charge for valet parking it is $5 and there's parking in the front of there's spots available you can self park.

Yelp
I had an incredible dining experience at Kaluz over the weekend. For appetizers, we tried the tomato and mozzarella, which was incredibly fresh and bursting with flavor--I would order it again in a heartbeat. The shrimp and goat cheese flatbread was equally delightful; it was light and satisfying, perfectly balancing flavors. For my main course, I opted for the Colorado lamb burger, and it truly stood out as one of the best burgers I've ever had--cooked to perfection with a rich, savory taste. The staff was attentive and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. Plus, the views from the restaurant added a breathtaking backdrop to the meal. I can't wait to return and try more dishes! Highly recommended.

Yelp
Valet parking only, and it was efficient. The ambiance is wonderful. The decor is awesome. This restaurant spared no expense in making our waterside experience memorable. The downside (but not enough to lower the five-star rating): 1. there are no split checks, 2. maximum party size is eight. 3. Split plate fee is $8. Know those going in and you'll be fine. I had the prime rib, which was delish. It came with garlic mashed potatoes, and the serving size of both was generous. I ate it all, but should have gotten a to-go box for some of it. There was no room for dessert...except for the birthday boy, who was given a BD ice cream. The "Fig-infused Old Fashioned" compared to other O.F. I've had, puts it at the top. The server was attentive and our eight orders were presented as ordered. Five star experience!

Yelp
Parking is by valet only. I had the Asian salad, and it was delicious. it had ample shrimp rimmed on the edges. we had a table of eight tucked in the corner and the view was wonderful. service was on par and perfect. The only negative was that is an $8.00 split plate fee. nevertheless, all else was so nice that no stars taken off for this. what a nice evening!

Yelp
A Fort Lauderdale favorite. Great option for family, friends, or even a date night. Attentive staff and great water front location. Expansive menu offers many options for both seafood and steak. A few of my favorites include their crab cakes, shrimp and goat cheese flatbread, and by strip. They also have locations in Wellington and plantation. Pro tip: lunch menu offers the same great eats at a lower price!

Yelp
Back again another one of my all time faves! Food: 1000/10 Absolutely love Kaluz! I tried the Jumbo Lump Crab Dip and absolutely fell in the love, there was an outstanding amount of crab and the sauce was delicious! For something sweet, I had the going bananas which was amazing, it's banana cake with vanilla ice cream and shaved coconut! 10s across the board. Service: The service was impeccable, our sever was very attentive and checked on our table constantly. She ensured that we were taken care of throughout our lunch. Drinks: 9/10 I had the Pineapple Martini which was so good. Nice and sweet, but not overdone. Decor/ Ambiance: 10/10 The place is set up very nicely, has a nice modern touch to it. Classy and elegant are the best ways to describe this place! Great for a date night! Overall, Kaluz is a great place to grab or quick lunch or have nice date night. From the food to the service I throughly enjoyed my time at Kaluz.

Yelp
The perfect birthday dinner! Let me start by saying we had a day and were an hour late for our reservation - but luckily it was later in the evening so they had the availability and were so gracious about it. We were seated outside near the water which was a beautiful set up. Service was quick and majority of the food was amazing! We ordered octopus and oysters to start - the octopus needed a little more charring as it was chewy which turned us off a little bit. The oysters were standard and a little fishy. But the remaining options were spot on! I ordered the seabass which was perfect - flavorful and delicious. The rest of the table enjoyed their meals without complaint and stated that they would return. For dessert, I wanted cheesecake but it wasn't on the menu. To my surprise they did have it and turned it into a special moment! Paired with an espresso martini, it was the perfect end to a great evening I would definitely return, maybe during a happy hour or some time during the day just to get a feel for their more robust crowds

Yelp
Besides the view of intracoastal the food is amazing. Service is excellent. I am a MIAMIAN born and raised. I have sampled Key Lime Pie from Key West to the Georgia mlm line. And this is THE BEST.KEY LIME PIE in Florida...a must. Fish.is fresh and love the SeaBass

Yelp
Kaluz in Fort Lauderdale offers a sleek and upscale dining experience with beautiful waterfront views. The stone crabs are a standout--fresh, meaty, and perfectly chilled, making them a must-try when in season. The menu has a variety of well-executed dishes, from seafood to steaks, all served in a chic, modern setting. Pair your meal with one of their craft cocktails, and enjoy top-notch service in a stunning atmosphere. Kaluz is perfect for both special occasions and casual waterfront dining.

Yelp
So Nice we had to try it twice. We decided to go to this location for my friend's birthday. The parking lot is small but there is valet parking. The ambiance in both locations are the same and are decorated similar. This location has an outdoor bartender and it's by the water. There are also some outdoor seating areas to hang out. We sat inside to eat. For starters we got spinach dip and sweet ginger calamari and the crab dip. Both were well seasoned and the calamari had the right amount of sweetness. The crab dip was really goo. I ordered the steak and mash potatoes and it was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. We had the mac n cheese and it was delicious. My friend ordered the salmon and rice and enjoyed it. Our other friend ordered steak and a sweet potato and he also enjoyed his meal. We drank champagne while we were inside. Our waiter was attentive and provided us with recommendations. He provided us with good customer service, he checked on us and made sure that we were doing well. For dessert my friend had a salted caramel brownie and ice cream. She said the brownie was good and the vanilla ice cream was flavorful. After we finished with dinner, we went outside for the drinks. We got to end the night watching the sun set which was a beautiful view. The bartenders made some great drinks. Even though the bar was busy they were able to tend to everyone in a timely manner so that you weren't waiting for a long time. Overall, the service and food were good. The outdoor view and the bar gave this location and an extra edge. You could hang out outside and enjoy the view while relaxing with your friends. I do like this location better than the Plantation one.

Yelp
This was an okay meal. The artichoke dip was luke warm. It was not quite as good as I remembered at the Plantation location but not bad. My friend and I each ordered a burger. I ordered mine medium as did she. We each took a bite and each said the burger is not hot at all. It seemed to be cooked medium though. We told the server and she said that can't be, she saw the burgers come off the grill. Well, I can say my burger was not hot or even warm and that is what I told her. She brought each plate to the kitchen and comes back a few minutes later. She told us they will make us new burgers. They came back out and were very hot. I had heard very good things about these burgers. I thought mine was okay. It is definitely not the best burger I ever had. It is right about in the middle from good to bad but leans more towards good. The server's attitude could have been more positive. I prefer their Plantation location.

Yelp
My Favorite Restaurant with a view. This is my first time at this location but second time at this restaurant. I first went to the one in Plantation. I have never been disappointed here. The view, the service, the food.... Everything is wow. TIP:Reservations! This place is packed and with good reason. Went to a cute dinner with my friend and decided to wait for outside seating since the view was spectacular. We sat an in a patio area and ordered appetizers from there. We had Tuna Tartare. This is by far one of the best I've ever had. So fresh and the wonton strips but the cherry on top. One of the most exciting things here is the seasonal menu. They always have new fun things to try! Dinner Order: Ahi Tuna Steak with rice 7 out of 5 Amazing, Tuna steak lover must try !!! Yellowtail Snapper with rice Delicious! Dessert: Banana Bread Pudding Sweet Tooth must try! Everything exceeds expectation here. Perfect place for occasion whether it's happy hour, celebration dinner or date night!

Yelp
Competent service by our nice server Kim , and delicious food. On the Florida Intracoastal so beautiful view of boats going by . Upon opening at 11:30 am on a weekend day , we waited in line for first come first serve to sit outside even with a reservation as it's an extremely popular restaurant ! We were seated at a very comfortable booth outside to celebrate a family member's birthday , but one less star for bringing your own "cake fee" per plate . Coffees served after the cake was served / eaten . Be aware no frozen cocktails are available by the water . The restaurant did add gluten free hamburger buns to their menu .

Yelp
Hands down one of the best restaurants I've been to in the entire Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area! I've been here twice already, for lunch and dinner, and can't wait to go back. Food: 100/10 The food is delicious, flavorful and always fresh. For dinner I had the jumbo lump crab dip and the roasted chicken and baked potato. The portions were nice and filling, I even had leftovers to take home! Dessert was my favorite part of the night. I had the espresso affogato with vanilla ice cream and it's to die foorrr. 1000/10 for sure! When I returned for lunch a few months later, I had the sweet ginger calamari and another roasted chicken. Everything was mouth watering. For dessert, I had the salted caramel brownie. I wouldn't have the brownie again but that's just my preference, all of my friends enjoyed theirs! Service: 10/10 It's very hard to find a restaurant that can exceed expectations for service for every visit. From the server, to the bartender, and even the table runner, everyone was very attentive and respectful. They constantly checked on us to make sure we were having a great time. I love the extra TLC they put in to ensure their customers have a splendid experience. Decor & Ambiance: 9/10 The vibes are moody and elegant at night. It's a great spot for a romantic date night. I was there for a Galentine's dinner and my friends and I were in awe. Great place for photos as well. Daytime is even better. I recommend sitting by the bay. We took some beautiful photos on the patio. Drinks: 9/10 I honestly cannot remember the names of the cocktails I ordered but I remember having a margarita and a martini. They were strong and sweet. Overall, I cannot wait to come back and create some more memories with Kaluz. Definitely an all-time fave!

Yelp
3rd time's a charm! I finally found something on the lunch menu that I really enjoyed: the shrimp tacos! They were really fresh and flavorful. And they're served with a side of guacamole and salsa.. Delicious! Our service was great. The ambiance was actually enjoyable this time.. Not too many ppl, so it wasn't as noisy.

Yelp
Kaluz is always a good choice. With the rain, the complimentary valet service came in clutch. The place was nice and quiet for lunch. Great view of the water. Our waiter was very polite and gave us the best service. I had the steak meatballs, the goat cheese flatbread and the salmon as a meal. The meatballs were great and very filling. Flatbread, delicious as well. Salmon is always a good choice. It was a nice size, flavorful, and it all paired well with the mashed potatoes. Keep it up Kaluz.

Yelp
I come here often & enjoy many things about Kaluz. First of all- your on the intracostal, right by one of the drawbridges. The view is stunning. Yachts & boats pass through on the daily. There is also outdoor seating for an even closer view. Boaters can dock & come to dine as well. My most recent experience, was pouring out but it was still nice watching the waterway. There were 6 of us & we got a lovely round table by the water. I decided to have the power bowl- Tuna Poke' I doubled on the tuna but if you wanted shrimp or chicken, I could have done that. I gave Kaluz 5 stars because this lunch was excellent & also was enormous! I kept eating & eating-till I finally said I need a box. They are always consistent with the food & service. That's why I come here a lot!

Yelp
Came for happy hour & stayed for the views! A great spot to grab dinner or happy hour in Fort Lauderdale. Parking is mostly valet but I lucked out and got one of the very few spots at the front without having to valet this time around. If the weather is nice, I definitely recommend sitting outside by the water. I visited for happy hour and we came right before the dinner rush and scored seats at the couches outside right next to the water. Our server was attentive and took our order right away. Of course, I grabbed a beer instead of a cocktail and also had to order a few bites- meatball slider and some guac & chips. I would note that the meatball slider is in fact just one slider and not a couple, which came as a surprise to us but we were at fault since we didn't read that it said slider instead of sliderS. Oops. The slider was good, regardless of it only being just one serving, and we were still able to share since the meatball itself was big. The guac & chips were pretty standard. Overall, a great spot to catch up with a friend or have a date night for dinner. I want to come back and try the dinner menu next visit!

Yelp
Super pretty views at night with great service!! Food was unremarkable and pretty average. We had a bunch of their seafood appetizers. Everyone's favorite by a landslide was the shrimp cargot. Ceviche was a runner up but I quickly got tired of the taste. The tuna tartare was one of the worst I've had, I would not get it. I'd come for the vibes more than the food.

Yelp
Love this place and the ambiance is great dinning inside or outside. The customer service is always good and very clean. Been here a couple of times with friends and family great place for celebrations

Yelp
It's been more than 7 years since my review first appeared on yelp, and it was so awesome that it received ROTD. Having visited the other night after a 4 year absence I thought it appropriate to provide an updated review. Simply put, not much has changed. The menu is basically the same, with daily "features" aka specials which rotate and frankly, are not that special. We dined early, arriving at 4pm midweek. There was torrential rain and blustery winds, and while it would have been jammed if it weee a sunny warm November day, it was just the opposite. The host joked and asked if we wanted one of their coveted outdoor tables that some will wait up to 45-60 minutes to get, we smiled and said "no, indoors will be just fine". We did indicate the area where we wanted to sit, which was in the ear near the windows. Our server was an attentive young man named Clark, and he too was in good humor when I asked him if he had a Superman outfit under his white shirt. While he said no, it would have been better if he had proved that he didn't. He did mention he had a telephone booth in the back, if he needed to make a quick change. We ordered a draft beer, bottle of sparkling water and some sort of girly sounding quasi martini drink. My husband didn't like the drink and I suggested he return it and order another. Rather than do that he finished it and then ordered a Stoli martini very dry with three olives. And that was more to his liking. We then ordered the coconut shrimp,!which I remember as being larger shrimp and a more tangy/spicy sauce. Ah, perhaps that is because everything used to be larger and more spicy, but frankly, while it was good, it wasn't great. The flame burnt artichoke special - ah - feature - was juicy, thick m, and aer Ed with a delicious sauce. If you're into artichokes, you'd like this. We each ordered broiled pork chops, the order comprised of two chops. When we asked to have it split in the kitchen, we were told there was an $8 surcharge, but we could then order another side (to be split) for that $8. Frankly, I try ought that was tacky, and just a way to get another $8. After all, what's the big deal in the kitchen to slap 2 chops on one plate vs one chop on two different plates. Upset the routine of the line cooks? Bi doubt it, just another surcharge to fall to the bottom line. Neither side of unloaded baked potatoes and asparagus were hot. The asparagus was cold while the baked potatoes were barely warm. We stopped eating the asparagus, and put it on a plate, but decided to eat the baked potato before it got colder. We asked Clark to take the asparagus away and bring a hot portion, which he did. They still looked evacuated, but they were cooked well The pork chop was small and not tender. I've had pork chops at J Alexanders and Seasons52, and they were far better at the same price point. When we return we will not review-order. We did order a wedge salad and jokingly asked if it could be split in the kitchen without incurring another $8 surcharge and Clark amenably said yes, he would bring extra plates. Well, that's not the same as having it split in the kitchen and brought out on 2 different plates. Frankly, that puzzles me. But such is the Kaluz way. The wedge salad was delicious. I'd definitely re-order it. So, service was admirable, food quality was not as good as I recalled, and the policy of not splitting plates without up charges is annoying. And the much needed valet is no longer free, $5 charge. With a tip, that's pricey for a Resturant which doesn't have sufficient parking on their property and uses an adjacent lot to park the valeted cars. If it seems like I'm focusing too much on charges, I guess that's because it was a focus of the dinner, rather than outstanding food. But the service should be rewarded, Clark was truly super! Note to management about those huge windows facing the intracoastal which were leaking water quite a bit in the rainstorm. Ask any engineer - if water can seep through, so can wind. There is clearly a breach in the rubber seal between frame and glass. I would not want to be sitting anywhere near there when hurricane force winds were in the area. And neither would you! I still rated a 4, because overall it deserves a high rating. But management should think about some of not all of the issues I raised.

Yelp
Great location on the water. Patio is gorgeous with an amazing outdoor bar. Parking is best to just use valet as there isn't many available spots. Upon coming here we only had 40 minutes to eat before we had to leave. The amazing waitress Charolette was onboard with helping us get an amazing lunch quickly. She was a very attentive and awesome waitress. She even filled our drinks when she saw them getting low without us even asking. O really the food was phenomenal. From the sirloin flatbread, the bbq flatbread, the Thai noodle with shrimp and my friends foods; well they were all deeply pleasing dishes. Highly recommend eating here.

Yelp
The best thing about this place is the view. Being on the water is very nice. They also have valet too. The bad the food and service has been mediocre at best. I'll give it another try maybe in a few years.

Yelp
Can't beat waterfront views and delicious food. We enjoyed a relaxed Sunday dinner! Will definitely be back again. Valet provided.

Yelp
Here's the thing about Kaluz. If you want a gorgeous setting, this is your restaurant. If you're looking for value, this is not the place. Unfortunately, it's difficult to find both. The service was fine. The drinks were good. The food was ok but I left feeling as though I paid too much for what I got. No need to return any time soon.

Yelp
I had my first visit to Kaluz and it was a real pleasure. I'm not sure the exact origin of their rather none descriptive name other than I was told that the "K" is derived from the name of the owner's main restaurant located in Argentina, the "al" and the "uz" from letters in the name of the owner's sons. It's located on a splendid Intracoastal waterfront location formerly being that of Stan's and the old toss your peanut shells on the floor Roadhouse, however, those former structures were completely demolished and Kaluz definitely stands as one of the finer architecturally designed establishments with a simple understated classy type of modern decor about it. It has inside and outside bar areas, an inside dining area as well as an outside patio dining area, boat docking with an attendant to assist with docking lines, courtesy valet parking, and a superlative professional informative and helpful wait staff which I found surprising since they just opened. Though the splendors of my waterfront view were ruinously shattered by a fat lady in an ill-fitting as well as ill-suited bikini who while disembarking a boat suffered a major wardrobe failure exposing my delicate eyes to her pendulous mammary glands, the basic Intracoastal view along with ambiance it affords is about as good as it gets. Checking my Yelp I see that Kaluz already has a solid five-star rating but you can put a grain of salt in that in that three of those are obviously not only one-time but also first-time reviews, written in a similar style, and the others with a rather questionable history of Five Stars ratings unless you're willing to believe second rate sub shops and big chain Longhorns restaurants are Five Star deserving. Hence my off-hand opinion is that they're either bogus or simply irrelevant. It's a shame that's being done under the name of Yelp because Kaluz is good enough on its own without any need for falsification as to its quality. I started off with the ceviche and to my delight, it turned out to be one of the best ceviches ever and was served with perfect presentation. For my entree, I had grilled swordfish with herb butter and green beans. Again, nicely presented with both having been perfectly prepared. I also had a couple of their bar margaritas which were good but at $12 a piece, I would have either expected better or at less of a price. Basically, since I've only eaten here once to date I'm not about to give it my coveted Five Stars, particularly since the competition across the canal such as Sea and Blue Moon are both somewhat superior food-wise in uniqueness of preparation, taste, quality and general bang for the buck. However, I have little problem giving Kaluz a solid Four Star approval.

Yelp
4/27/24- sat a large window rgt in front of the ICW. Great sevice. We shared shrimp cargo, I had the crab cakes excellent no fillers, hubby had the amazing Bistro salad. Comes w/ cornbread croutons. Plus then a chimichanga steak salad.. all excellent like our sever Kaylan.

Yelp
The atmosphere was really good. Sitting outside in the cool weather was a bonus. We all ordered the pomegranate cosmo which is strong and not sweet but the tart beach martini is. Everyone loved the entrees. Which consisted of the coconut shrimp, ceviche, sweet ginger calamari, the salad (I'm not sure which one). We all opted for the snapper it comes with Cajun shrimp on top and rice pilaf. Which is good and I also had it with the Parmesan mashed potatoes. For dessert we had the brownie with vanilla ice cream which had walnuts and caramel and it was delicious. The key lime pie was also delicious. I just wish the crust was thicker. I also had a cappuccino at the end which was made well.

Located on the waterway This cozy restaurant has delicious food and great ambiance. I valet parked for $5.00. I had the bread pudding first. Then some appetizers. Coconut shrimp and lump crab dip. The food was delicious . I also had a glass of Moscato. I love this location.

Yelp
I love this place. It has an excellent staff great view and the food is always awesome. I had a Caesar salad today for my lunch prior to going into the office. And watch the boats go up and down the intercoastal while enjoying my Caesar salad! My waitress was really kind and on point. I had a second iced tea before my first one was finished. On commercial Boulevard and you looking for good food stop at Cole's. It's on the south side just before the intercoastal bridge. I guarantee you're gonna love this placerestaurant itself is very modern clean... I say clean! Everyone is so kind here.

Yelp
I've lived in Fort Lauderdale for about 6 months and this restaurant is my favorite so far. Views are good. Quality and variety of food is good. Service is above average and friendly. Rudy was an outstanding server. I had the ceviche and Thai shrimp salad, which I would both order again, but I'd like to come back to try different items! Will definitely be back!

Yelp
This is on the waterfront. At times, places on the waterfront is hit or miss; this place is definitely a hit. Bartender was nice and friendly. Was here with a group and everyone had a good time. Just had the happy hour drink and food; excellent. Can't beat the ambiance; inside or outside. Outside had seating plus an outside bar to enjoy the water views. Will come again for the experience.

Yelp
Bougie, sterile/ generic menu and you pay for the view! I will charge less and we can Grubhub for better! Make me impressed!

Yelp
The location is awesome otherwise this place is not worth visiting! First time there they bought over a warm bottle of white wine not good! Tonight they bought out the scallops dinner and it was cold. I have to admit reluctantly the manager removed them from the bill Very awkward I won't go back

Yelp
The food was delicous! Yellowtail snapper sandwich and lamb burger. Drinks were just the right ratio. Waitstaff professional and friendly, like they enjoyed their jobs. Refreshing! Atmosphere and ambience excellent as always.

Yelp
Kaluz is my go-to spot when I want to lounge it up and have some of their amazing cocktails and delicious food! It's perfect for anytime of the day. I usually come during happy hour or dinner. It's always a wonderful experience looking at the bay and the boats passing by. Any table you sit at you're guaranteed a great experience. The ambiance is elegant and cozy and the service is always great. For cocktails I recommend the pomegranate cosmo, stubborn mule, the wicked mango, or a nice cold beer like I do sometimes. For appetizers you gotta try the sweet ginger calamari. The sauce is mouthwatering. You can also ask for the sauce on side. The coconut shrimp. Oh my god. Delicious. If you're in the area, stop by Kaluz!

Yelp
We had a fun time. The grilled brussel sprouts were super yummo best I've had. Crab salad was generous sized and tasty. Good kids menu offerings. Upscale and pricey but not crazy. We had great service. Very cool modern place with great views and indoor or outdoor seating by intercoastal and a drawbridge. Fun and elegant place for a steak or seafood, pizza or a fancy salad date.

Yelp
From the moment we were seated at a table by the water, I loved the views and ambiance with the dimly lit lights. I came here for the first time for a friend's birthday and appreciated staff's help catering to us during the evening. Our waitress was enthusiastic and very kind to describe the specials and her recommendations. I enjoyed their Chilean seabass especially with the sundried tomatoes on top. You are also able to substitute your side for another. For example, I asked for the parmesan mashed potatoes and this was a fan favorite among our table. I do wish they had a wider variety of options that included more chicken dishes. Nevertheless, I definitely recommend coming here -- food and service are great! Be prepared to find parking which can be difficult or to use valet.

Yelp
Great place in Lauderdale By the Sea. On Commercial right on the water on the west bank of the Intracoastal. Modern decor, great bar island smack as you walk in. Water view is always awesome, and there is also an outside bar with low seats and tables - perfect during season. Boaters can pull up to the slip and even get food and wine to go. Menu is superb. I have tries the shrimp cargot is a great take on escargot but with shrimp. Octoous, tuna tartare, the flatbreads. Everything is yummy Service and mixology are par for the course and well representing the experience. A must visit.

Yelp
Always a favorite and always a go to! For many years, my family and I have been going to Kaluz and seem to always gravitate back. When family and friends are in town, it's the first place we bring them for a beautiful dinner on the water. The BEST ribs and the BEST key lime pie! Service is always great!!

Yelp
Very happy with the coconut shrimp appetizer! Want to get that out of the way right off the bat - order the coconut shrimp if you like sweet with fried and some interesting ingredients in a sauce. The shrimp we were served were delicious and oh so tender. We also got the chicken club and it was more of an okay level dish. Great fries - and we ordered them "no salt" and they were just salty enough for a bit of taste of salt. I don't want to forget to mention the cappuccino! I was not expecting a good cappuccino here, but it was great! Lightly sprinkled with cinnamon, foam just right, and the espresso underneath was solid. My dining partner was having a birthday and the wonderful Kelly brought us a large piece of key lime pie with house-made whip cream and it was mighty fine! I don't get to Ft Lauderdale very often, but when I'm back, I'll definitely consider Kaluz again. Right on the intercoastal, you can watch the water traffic and the bridge raising and lowering. Boats pull up at their dock and dine. Valet parking was $5 mid-day.

Yelp
This is our favorite lunch spot to go to when we go on the boat out of Ft. Lauderdale beach. The staff is all around amazing here. Service is always above par. We like to sit outside and enjoy the water view. They have all kinds of seating and a large dining room inside as well if outside isn't for you. The guacamole appetizer is a heaping scoop that is so refreshing on a hot day and also service with salsa. The calamari is cooked to perfection with a different kind of batter than you're used to and had a delicious cream sauce drizzled. Our go-to entree is the prime rib burger. We sometimes get our own or share depending how hungry we are. If we share, I ask for them to cut it in half and they always separate it for us on separate plates without us even asking. You're sure to love this place just as much as I do.

Yelp
This place was amazing ! Very classy and would reccomend dressing up a little (gets a little chilly inside the restaurant). The food was quite amazing here! My boyfriend and I ordered the bbq flatbread, beet salad, salted caramel brownie, and bread pudding. Everything came out in a timely fashion. The bbq flatbread tasted a little spicy but, very savory. The beet salad tasted so fresh (would reccomend for lunch). Lastly, the salted caramel brownie came with vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of caramel. Every bite melted in your mouth. We also ordered the bread pudding and it came with grand marnier raisins & a custard crème. The food speaks for itself! Would come back again to try more ! Service was outstanding !

Yelp
View was beautiful - on the water with the boats docking. We sat at the outside bar and wanted to eat outside l, but thunderstorms prevented that from happening. Enjoying the crab dip and the Thai noodle salad. We would dine again. Server and hostess staff were helpful and attentive.

Yelp
While visiting South Florida I met a friend for lunch at Kaluz Ft. Lauderdale and we both enjoyed our time there. Setting is so nice along the intercostal waterway we got a table on the outside patio. We started with a order of Coconut shrimp and I ordered the Citrus Tuna Salad while my friend ordered the Chicken Club. All three dishes were well prepared and with great flavor. I enjoyed my visit to Kaluz that 4 days later I joined my cousin and his son for lunch.
