This place gets really, really busy, and is more of a tourist trap than a foodie paradise that some reviewers on the interwebs claim.
We waited in line outside for about 5-10 minutes and we're escorted to our seat. We get to our seat--it's fine, just super crowded, and anyone passing by me is touching me. But I've lived in Asia long enough to not be bothered by it.
The menu was not in English, and I cannot read characters. My husband can, but he didn't know how to translate some of the things to me. So it took me a while to figure out what to order. The server comes to our table, and we are not ready yet. She's yelling at me about what I want. But, like, I didn't know what I wanted yet, and she needed to chill TF out.
By the time my husband translated everything for me, we decided on the French toast and the pork chop pineapple bun. I liked the French toast, but the bun is what really took the cake. The thing is that I could probably find this food of the same or similar quality in another Hong Kong canteen that wouldn't be filled to the brim with people, and I wouldn't be yelled at.
We're going somewhere else next time.
