"Only a handful of historic buildings survived the fire that swept through the Greek castle town of Ioannina in 1820. One of these, a handsome stone mansion near the castle walls, is now home to Kamares Boutique Hotel & Spa. Much of its old-world grandeur remains — heavy wooden doors, brick archways, ornate fireplaces, sumptuous antiques, and original tile flooring. Rooms exude period charm, too, with exposed stone or brick walls, decorative bedframes, and vaulting wood-beamed ceilings." - Tablet Hotels

I selected the Kamares hotel based on the photos – it looked so good, classic and tasteful. When we arrived it was better than I had expected. The car park directly opposite was very handy. The place was beautiful, and the staff so friendly and helpful. They really were good. The rooms we had were very special, quirky in a good way, beautiful and comfortable.||The location was excellent. In the attractive old town, a short walk from the buzzy old centre and restaurants, and the lake close by.||A beautiful hotel, wonderful staff and great location.

This is the very definition of a boutique hotel. The building and furnishings are beautiful, and the service was outstanding. The real surprise was the breakfast—delicious, with an impressive selection of high-quality local produce, especially for such a small hotel. I’ll definitely be back when I’m in Ioannina, and I already can’t wait! Thank you again for a lovely stay.

It was fantastic. Everything was perfect. Super clean and the design was super aristocratic and cozy . It deserves more than five stars. Plus i went for seasonal face treatment i fell so relaxed and my face was super soft . The staff was incredibly nice and polite and they were very willing to do everything to make you feel like home , even the breakfast in the backyard was quiet and friendly. I definitely recommend it .

Sure! Here's a translation into English with a natural and expressive tone: The hotel was absolutely beautiful—neat, clean, and perfectly maintained. Every corner of the hotel had a charming detail that truly impressed me, from the lamps and toilet paper holders to the sink and even the ceiling. Each element was thoughtfully and tastefully designed. Every detail was perfectly planned and executed. I absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an exceptional stay! The hotel has parking space!

This decor for this hotel is just stunning. I couldn’t stop looking around in the lobby, in my room, in the breakfast area. There are so many small touches. We enjoyed the Naxos apothecary amenities- which smelled delightful. The hotels location was more than ideal and it was absolutely quiet at night. The air conditioning worked great.

We booked this hotel months prior and couldn’t wait to stay. We were not disappointed- they upgraded us to a larger suite room- we lived the hotel which the house was around 200 years old and remodeled. The hotel rooms were more Turkish inspired and we had a lot of room. We were given baklava as a nighttime treat on each nightstand. We loved the spa as well which we thought was very reasonable. The hotel is located in the old town centro area- walking distance and they helped with luggage as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel! Their breakfast looked good but we didn’t try it. They had parking which was a plus additionally.

The hotel is a historic masterpiece, perfectly restored to reflect the charm of the 1800s. Every detail—from the antique furnishings to the ornate decor—makes you feel like you're living in a different era, as if you're a noble guest from the past. The staff is professional and polite. Highly recommended.

I had really high hopes for this hotel and awaited my stay here impatiently, only to be met with disappointment. Let me start by saying that the hotel itself is beautiful. We didn't use the spa (but I do find it weird that you have to pay for the jacuzzi which is normally free in 5 star establishments). Onto the bad, I believe we got the worst room available. It's on the last floor so the ceiling is "attic style", meaning you can only stand up straight in half of the room, the other half (where the couch and tv are) you have to crouch down. You can't even use the couch because your head will hit the ceiling if you sit up straight instead of lying down. I'm claustrophobic and felt really uncomfortable in the room. I checked all the pictures on the website and there were NO pictures that show this ceiling, however when I asked front desk for a room change and they said there were no availabilities, the receptionist told me there were pictures on the website and I just didnt see them and they can't do anything about it. The fact that we paid extra for a deluxe room didn't help. I really wanted to enjoy this hotel more. It's unfortunate.
