"Kamé hit the ground running with its Instagram-friendly pink décor and well-designed plates. This Hawaiian snack bar is a great stop for poke and acai bowls, spam musubi, smoothies, and ice cream." - Tim Forster, Daniel Bromberg, Valerie Silva

"With its millennial pink walls, hanging plants and quirky menu items (like the oft-Instagrammed taiyaki ice cream served in fish-shaped cones), Oahu surf culture-inspired snack bar Kamehameha is as much about aesthetics as it is about the food — but the food is still pretty good. There’s no need to choose between sweet and savoury at this Plateau spot, as they offer both poke and açaí bowls." - Holly Tousignant

"At the intersection of healthy and indulgent, poke bowls have quickly taken over the city — and while they’re not exactly salad, many people looking for that kind of meal wouldn’t say no to one of these bowls done right. And bright pink snack bar Kamehameha is one of the best, with everything from organic salmon and tuna tartar to smoked tofu and avocado. Tip: opt for the spicy mayo." - Kaitlyn McInnis, Tim Forster, Ashley Joseph

Gorgeous spot! The service was extremely slow for food that is not cooked though. We took the banzai and the kahlua high tide bowls. One was overseasoned while the other lacked some. Loved the spam musubi though! The fish cone is adorable of course and filled with cream and nutella. However, it was not fresh. The texture was chewy on one side, crispy amd hard on the other. The mango sherbet tasted great though.

Aesthetically beautiful spot but was personally disappointed in the service! For some reason they missed my order, so I was sitting there while my friends got theirs. I thought they were going to give me mine soon, but I waited around 20 minutes and realized they actually just forgot! Really annoying and what’s even more annoying was that they didn’t really properly make my order because it was really watery and already dripping while my friend’s smoothie bowl was a chunky texture. The portion was good for the price, but I wouldn’t come back.

Came here on the afternoon during a Friday and had some amazing bowls. The tuna Waikiki and the mixed Haunhauma Bay bowls were fresh, delicious and very filling. One bowl per person is plenty. Add the tempura flakes for a bit of crunchy texture. If you get the rice as a base you can't go wrong. The cashier was very friendly and helpful with our orders. Also, the DBZ Goku statue behind the counter is a fun Easter egg. The food deliciousness is over 9,000!

I don’t know what planet these chefs are from, but the food was subpar and definitely nowhere near the advertised pictures. I ordered the spam burger because I wanted to taste something different but packed with veggies. And then I get a sad flat bun with 2 slices of cucumber and dry bread. I’d give this place a 0 if I could. Never again. Also, they give WAY too much rice-to-vegetable ratio on their poke bowls and no dressing.

THEY HAVE RAMEN NOW AND MY LIFE IS COMPLETE 🍜♥️ Delicious spicy option, the flavour is rich and savory. The poke bowls are as amazing as always of course.

Decor is what drew me into the place. But at this price, the fish portions were very tiny and all mushed up. I expected a lot more for a poke bowl especially at the price of $18. More of a salad than a poke

I went to get ice cream in the fish cone and it was already all hard and dried up. Also, the Ubu flavor was out, so we only had one flavor, pear. We had to wait a while before the persons came over to help us out. Compare to a year ago when the cone was warm and soft, my experience was truly disappointing. Although it is aesthetic, it is definitely not worth the money as it is quite overpriced. * The picture was from a year ago.

Amazing ice cream, available in a pancake ish cone in the shape of a fish (or a bowl if you're lame) and filled with nutella. I'm sure the poke bowls are good if that's your thing, but i didn't have any. Seriously the peach ice cream and the lichy ice cream are to die for, even if i wouldn't normally take either... Worth the detour....
