"Ramen, soup and other Chinese foods are the soul of this ramen shop by Velrosier. The chef draws soup stock from bones of duck, chicken, venison and pork. Clear soup owes its depth to umami from a medley of dried foods; dried longan fruit, a Chinese medicinal herb, is a touch only a gourmet of Chinese cuisine would think of. The manifold layers of flavour derive from Roku’s ‘add-on’ approach to seasoning." - Michelin Inspector

A fancy looking shop that has limited seating! I got there 30 minutes before opening at night and there was a line starting to form already. I had the Sichuan pepper ramen and was disappointed, there was no spice! The broth was tasty but it did not taste of Sichuan pepper at all. I also had a small side rice plate that was good, and the atmosphere was amazing.

As I write this, I am seated. I’ve just finished a bowl of the white chicken broth ramen. Honestly when my wife suggests ramen I kind of shrug, sure, (not a big “soup” guy, uk?) Never felt compelled to write a review but, We got here at 5:30, they open at 6. So no wait for us. Best ramen I’ve had in my life. Photos speak for themselves Disclaimer: my wife suggested this place.

We saw that this was on the Michelin gourmand list so we gave it a try. We came on a rainy Wednesday around opening time and made it into first seating. This place has amazing ramen at a super reasonable price. My fiancé and I tried their specialty ramen and also their creamy broth ramen. The noodles had the perfect chewiness and broths were both amazing. For topping we got the duck egg and the wontons, they were good but not must haves. We also got the rice bowl and that was great too. The atmosphere and presentation of the place was also beyond expectations for a ramen place.

I visited this ramen place shortly after their opening (I was there at 11:30) and half of the seats were still available. The menu selection on the vending machine has English options, and the choice is quite limited, so I went with their signature ramen. The soup I chose was a clear amber-colored broth that is slowly cooked over heat for approximately 10 hours. The broth is made using duck, venison, local chicken, pork, porcini mushrooms, shimeji mushrooms, tomatoes, and longan pulp, making this soup a unique creation by Hitomi, a Michelin-awarded chef. The noodles, although thin, have a firm texture and a noticeable presence. Chef Hitomi has crafted these homemade noodles, paying special attention to their aroma, texture, and overall quality. My order cost 1200 yen, which I found to be reasonable for the quality and uniqueness of the dish. It's important to note that the restaurant operates from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, then closes and reopens at 6:00 pm, staying open until 9:00 pm. I personally really enjoyed the broth, and it's worth mentioning that the portion of meat is not too large, which makes the overall dish not too heavy. If you're looking for a special ramen experience crafted by a Michelin-starred chef, this place is definitely worth checking out. Just be sure to keep their opening hours in mind when planning your visit.

Stopped here for a quick lunch after a hike. When I arrived, there was no line but I noticed a few people waiting outside to order on the machine. You have to take the escalators to the second floor and you’ll find the restaurant to the right. The food was fantastic! The truffle ramen was very balanced even though the truffle taste was very subtle. As others have mentioned here, the restaurant only has 12 seats but given the pre-ordering process, guests cycle through pretty quickly. Highly recommended!

This place is a real gem. I saw it on Michelin guide and I was surprised that i didn’t have to wait for my seat. The ramen broth was rich and tasteful, the egg (duck egg) was made to perfection. The price is really affordable.

How should I start my dinner story? We were a family of three and I found this noodle restaurant while I was in the queue of a hamburg restaurant. My mom was so hungry that she started complaining and winging. So we had to eat straight away and decided to share only two mains for the three of us and also then try ROKU. Honestly, mom was 100% full and my sister and I had a small space left in our stomachs after hamburg steaks. But my sister and I did not give up trying ROKU. Ramen was full of complex flavours but surprisingly clean taste and not too oily. A special truffle ramen somehow tasted a high quality balanced flavour. The depth of broth was unbelievable and the texture of noodle was great. There was no single one to pick up. Additionally, it's atmosphere was astonishing. The main tree decoration at the centre of U-shape customer tables and their table settings somehow created the sense of heavy and formal fine restaurant, which I loved. Finally, price for the food was just another thumbs up. You cannot get this quality of ramen for this price, trust me. You never get it. I am very happy to give another visit in the unforeseeable future. Anyway, my sister and I pleasantly vacuumed ramen. However, my mom didn't want to eat more but had to try a ramen as there was one ramen per customer policy. Unfortunately as expected my mom left her ramen nearly untouched.

This ramen restaurant offers a rather unique experience. The service is reasonably fast, but most certainly as professional as can be. There are only a few options to choose from on the menu, but you can choose extra toppings to suit your taste. Apparently, this restaurant was featured on the Michelin guide, but we didn't know that before visiting. It may contribute to its popularity, however, because it was almost full throughout our visit here. Still, it's not too busy on weekdays, so if you want to experience this special place, you should not have to wait in an excessively long line. The prices are surprisingly friendly as well.
