Asian need Asian food post wine tasting. Kampung Kitchen Uncle was very friendly. Foods are on the sweeter side and less spicy but uncle said he deliberately made it that way so people can taste wine better after his food. #bulgogi_n_rendang

Absolutely loved the laksa! Creamy, rich, and bursting with flavour. Easily the best we’ve had in ages. Highly recommend giving it a try.

Tonight we got a take away order of curry puffs, satay chicken and Char Kway Teow. All three dishes were delicious! The satay chicken in particular blew our mind - we’ve never had a satay sauce like that! It was so good I was pouring it on my curry puffs too. The store front looks pretty unassuming, but definitely give Kampung a go! Would definitely return if visiting Tanunda again.

Awesome find! It was one of the few places open tonight due to the public holiday. We were not disappointed! The chicken satay, beef curry and chicken laksa we had were all delicious and very authentic. I’ve been to Malaysia a lot and this really tasted like it did there!

Stumbled upon this gem whilst we were visiting the Barossa Valley region from Qld. Chef Ya was super friendly and we loved chatting with him in Malay! A perfect combo of Malaysian hospitality and good, old-fashioned, tasty home cooked kampung food 👌

Sensational traditional Malay food. Great service and spice (yes he can make it non spicy, but what's the point?).

After several days of cheese and meat platters, and cafe food, we were craving spicy food and thankfully Kampung Kitchen is available to satisfy our food needs. Walking into the casual cafe, from the cooking aroma coming out of the kitchen, we knew we stumbled on something special. We ordered a few curries and a fried noodle dish: Chicken Percik, Sambal Beef, Duck Curry and Char Kway Teow. Incredibly authentic Malaysian home-cooked, comfort food! The Barossa Valley is crying out for more diversity in food flavours, and availability during dinner service.

I visited this restaurant with my partner. We love Asian cuisine, but as vegetarians, we prefer our food without egg or any seafood-based sauces like oyster sauce or fish oil. It’s rare to find restaurants that accommodate this request, but the staff here was incredibly helpful. They prepared the vegetable curry and fried noodles exactly as we wanted. We loved the food—it was absolutely worth the visit! Highly recommend this place for its excellent customer service and delicious vegetarian-friendly options.
