Kanbei restaurant is absolutely authentic! The flavors are bold, spicy, and well-balanced—not overly greasy. The dishes are generously portioned and served quickly. The mapo tofu, boiled fish in chili oil, and twice-cooked pork were especially delicious. Friendly service and reasonable prices. Highly recommended for anyone who loves real Sichuan cuisine!

Omg thecabbage dish! In all the years I've lived on this earth, this is the most flavourful yet simple way of creating this dish. The garlic fried ribs were awesome too. Light airy and crispy. It was also very flavourful. The noodles lacked a little bit of flavour but I liked the chewy wide noodles a lot. The beef dish lacked a bit of flavour. It smelled great but it wasn't flavourful. The green beans tasted a litttlllee undercooked and compared for the cabbage dish, it was just ok.

Kan Bei is a fantastic spot for authentic and flavorful Chinese food! The portions are generous, the presentation is beautiful, and the taste is absolutely delicious. We tried the crispy noodles with shrimp and vegetables — the shrimp were fresh and juicy, the veggies perfectly cooked, and the sauce tied everything together with amazing flavor and texture. We also had the Kung Pao-style dish with rice, and it was packed with flavor — tender bites, crunchy peanuts, and just the right balance of sweet and spicy. Every bite felt fresh and satisfying. The service was friendly and quick, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. Definitely one of the best spots in the area for authentic Chinese cuisine.

We were searching around the area to eat, and suddenly we saw this place on google maps, and we gave it a try. This is our second time in this restaurant and it is AMAZING. The quality, the service, the food is fricking amazing. For me, it is one of the best chinese foods ever tried, we come from Spain and this place is AMAZING

I’ve been visiting this Restauraunt since many years now and it’s a family favourite. I especially recommend this place if you’re a larger group, you get to try a large variety at a very competitive price! Sometimes we order 7-8 dishes and only pay around $25 a person.

A darn good place to get a good sichuanese bite near the hotels and place du canada. Theor bar lamps have an epic design choice of money bags. The mapo tofu was a bit too oily but the actual tofu was silky and melted in my mouth. The dan dan noodles were also pretty nice too) though they just need a little extra salt). Also, they have an epic neon sign which is cool.

A great spot for lunch-dinner. Pork belly cold rolls were delicious 🤤 Service was very polite, was going to the restroom and passed the kitchen, everything was clean and organized. Pleasure to see kitchens like this, especially when you work in the kitchen industry for 10+ years. The only thing, as we were not Asians, they gave as forks right away instead of chop sticks and reduced spiciness in the dish😅 But we do love eating with chop sticks and spicy food, that’s why we choose that resto. Anyway not a big deal.

The food quality was poor and the prices are high. What made it worse was the staff demanding a tip despite providing no proper service and refusing to accept payment without one. They also made racist remarks, saying “in this country you need to tip—if not, go eat in your country.” A clear display of racist attitude and completely unacceptable behavior. Would not recommend this place at all.
