Zuru Zuru by Kanada-Ya 金田家

Great service from a pleasant and friendly host. The wagyu gyudon ticked all the boxes, just like Yoshinoya, went nicely with homemade sparkling jasmine tea lemonade. And for dessert, the Melting Matcha Fondant was divine. The tonkotsu x ramen came with good noodles, but for £16.5, it felt quite basic with few toppings. Not even half an egg, which was separately charged. Some black garlic oil would also have been nice, especially since the soup was not the most flavourful.

We ordered the spicy ramen made with pork and chicken broth, and the flavour was absolutely outstanding. The broth was rich, deep and perfectly balanced with spice and citrus notes from the yuzu. Every element in the bowl felt carefully crafted — from the tender chashu pork to the perfectly cooked noodles. You can genuinely taste the quality and the authenticity in every bite. It felt like a master-chef level bowl of ramen. We also tried the salmon seaweed wrap, which was equally impressive. The ingredients tasted fresh and authentic, and the flavours were clean, balanced and very satisfying. The staff were friendly, the service was excellent, and the overall experience was fantastic. If anyone in London is looking for truly authentic ramen with incredible flavour, this place is a must visit. We will definitely be coming back again just for that ramen.

Great food, solid choice. Went for a Sunday lunch with friends and it was a pleasant experience, with the food quality standing out. The donburi set was a great deal, and the tonkotsu ramen had a rich, creamy broth that was really good. The overall atmosphere has a comforting, standard Asian vibe that feels authentic and inviting. The only minor issue was that the dishes did not arrive together, and the floor staff seemed a little understaffed, which affected the service coordination. However, the excellent quality of the broth and noodles makes this a fantastic ramen spot worth visiting. Recommended 👍🏼.

Recently found out that they changed their name to Zuru zuru and introduced a new menu with more items. Ramen is always good. I’m also a big fan of their pickled mustard greens side. And as always my husband ordered extra noodles for his bowl, that’s how good it is :)

Ramen chain Kaneda Ya has just opened a new sister restaurant Zuru Zuru offering donburi as well as Ramen so gave them a try. If you like donburis then this is for you. Also had the taco which needed a plate because the sauce drips from the other side when you eat.

Phenomenal food especially the Sukiyaki, authentic and delicious. Attentive and caring staff amid busy hours. Absolutely recommended 100%, must try if you haven’t, will visit again shortly!

Tried the Spicy Yuzu Ramen at Kanada-Ya and it didn’t disappoint! The creamy tonkotsu broth pairs surprisingly well with the zesty, citrusy kick of yuzu. It’s spicy, refreshing, and cuts through the richness perfectly. Excellent noodle texture as always. Highly recommended if you want a bold twist on a classic bowl!

The place is quite easy to miss, tucked away among a few newly built residential blocks. There were a few empty tables, but they hadn’t been cleared yet. The staff told us we’d need to wait about 15–20 minutes — I think there was only one person on the floor, which didn’t seem very reasonable. Still, I’d been looking for the place for ages and was pretty hungry, so we decided to wait. Luckily, the tonkotsu noodles were delicious, but the yakitori was far too salty and overpriced, so I wouldn’t recommend it.
