Highly unimpressed by this place. We stopped by for what we'd envisioned being a filling, tasty and relaxing pre-anniversary brunch. We got none of those things, unfortunately.
When we arrived, the order line was crazy long. My husband stayed outside with the pup while I went in to order, but when I saw the line, I headed back out to get his opinion on the wait and to plan out our next move. While we were chatting, I pulled the menu up on my phone, and realized we could place an online order, which we thought would help with the wait.
False.
I placed and paid for our order online: the chicken fried steak for me ($15.99), the chilaquiles with eggs for him ($20.86 after adding in avocado), plus a regular coffee for him ($3.79) and a hot chocolate for me ($3.49). Grand total for brunch after tax and tip: $54.17. I left a note in the order saying we were sitting outside, just in case we didn't hear or see them coming around with our food. The order confirmation page stated they'd call my name or bring our order out to our table.

We waited 35 minutes before I ventured back inside to ask for an update. And even though I was in line, waiting my turn, the ladies at the front decided to help people who came in after me, because they apparently all knew each other. When I was finally acknowledged, one lady said something like, "oh yeah, it's almost done" and pointed off to the side for me to wait. The other lady said, "it'll be right out."
False.
We waited another 15 minutes for the food to be set in the window, then another five minutes for one of the women to grab it to hand it over. One gave me a cup for my husband's almost $4 coffee, the other dumped a cocoa packet into a paper cup and poured hot water over it. I paid $3.50 for a Swiss Miss cocoa packet.
The food was uninspired, my plate especially. The eggs were gross - how do you mess up scrambled eggs, I ask you? - and the gravy on the steak was overly salty. The breading was soggy and the meat was chewy. I didn't even come close to finishing that plate. My husband did enjoy his meal, but I'm pretty sure it was because he was hangry at that point. I'm sure he would've eaten our puppy's feet and proclaimed it a top-notch meal by the time I was handed the plates.
