Kanela Breakfast Club

Pretty much felt like any other brunch place. It was very clean the service was pretty okay. The food looks really good but I found some things to be way too salty. My main meal was the crab cake Benedict which I do not recommend at all. The crab cake tasted incredibly cheap and was way too fried. It's also not crab it's imitation crab. Also the sauce is either too liquidy or too firm depending on how hot it is on the Benedict. The eggs were also overpoched. The bathrooms are nice though.

Kanela Cafe never misses! The lemon blueberry pancakes were perfectly fluffy with the right hint of zest, and the beef filet hash was cooked to perfection…so flavorful and satisfying. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere is just what you want on a Sunday: cozy, bright, and relaxed. If you’re a brunch lover, this spot is a must. Pro tip: come hungry and definitely try both dishes!

My home away from home. Love this reliable neighborhood spot, especially for breakfast/brunch! It is conveniently located on Old Town on Wells (parking available most days), and the staff is always so welcoming and upbeat. Special shout out to Cesar who runs a tight and efficient ship...always with a smile on his face and a warmth so many fast-paced establishments like this one lack. I will continue to be a loyal customer, so keep up the good work!

Came here for a quick breakfast before heading back home and it was the perfect place. The food was fresh and great quality, plus it was yummy. The fresh juices were perfect. The service was fast and the staff was super friendly. Great options for breakfast as well.

Fantastic service, fast turnout, and tasty! Everything was served hot & fresh. The red velvet French toast, cheesy scrambled breakfast sandwich, and chicken & waffles were all equally delicious. The kids menu griddle plate for around $10 was also perfect for a 4 year old. Would recommend and also visit again, but do note that when it's busy, the ambiance is extremely loud so you'll likely have to yell if you want your partner to actually hear you.

Having been a regular customer at Kanela Old Town since its opening I was away for the past few years. I recently came back and found the same excellence in hospitality and dining. Breakfast dishes are of great quality and reasonably priced. Coffee is the best! Cesar, the manager for several years, does an excellent job at keeping the place going. He is friendly, welcoming and it is easy to tell he has trained the staff well. I commend Cesar for his years of service to Kanela and for his professional management. He remembers guests and treats them well! Best dish on the menu is the Lorraine Scramble. It is consistently delicious and most satisfying for breakfast. Kudos to Kanela on Wells and to the staff!l

Service was terrible. And they charged us for 2 sides of sour cream ($1.25 each) but we never received the second one due to the bad service. Coffee was terrible (tasted like water). Food was great (highly recommend the breakfast burrito with chorizo and the spicy feta omelette).

Probably the BEST breakfast eatery I've been to. Excellently fluffy and delectable waffles and crispy flavourful fried chicken. Thick cut bacon cooked perfectly and real maple syrup! I also had red velvet french toast and it was phenomenal! Very friendly and transparent service from Ryan and good prices. I can't recommend Kanela enough. I give it an 11.
