As far as Korean BBQ goes in the area, this place is one of the better ones, but it definitely could be better. The interior of the restaurant is very pleasant, but not in a Korean restaurant's traditional sense, more in a sports bar sense. There is plenty of seating, but it fills up fast so beware. The food is always delicious, and there are plenty of choices on the menu to choose from. I almost always get the bulgogi combo, which comes with a variety of kimchi, a bowl of rice, and a few dipping sauces. I highly recommend the takoyaki (octopus balls), although in my opinion they need to add the traditional red ginger to perfect it. They are a traditional Japanese street food that has become really popular in America as of late. The gimbap is also really tasty. It is like a Korean version of sushi maki roll, but with cooked meat as opposed to raw fish. With some of the meals you are given the option to cook it at your table, or have them cook it for you in their kitchen if you do not want your clothes to smell like smoke. All in all, every time I have eaten here the food is fantastic. However, there are a few problems I feel the management needs to address when it comes to their customers' dining experience. They seem to have s problem with hiring enough staff to run the front of the restaurant smoothly. It has gotten worse over the years since I started going to their establishment, and has only got worse since the pandemic. Many times I have had to flag down a staff member to simply get a drink order in, or even check on the whereabouts of an appetizer I had not received yet. A few times I never even received my appetizer. But to be fair, the manager has always bent over backwards to accommodate me for any inconvenience I have ever experienced in his restaurant, so that says a lot. Another problem I have is that when they bring out the meat to cook at your table it is something completely frozen. Traditionally the meat is not frozen when placed on the hot stone to cook because it alters the texture of the meat when cooked. But either way, the meat usually still tastes very good. The bathroom is nice and clean, and seems to be kept in good condition. There is also a ramen bar attached to this restaurant that serves tonkatsu (pork) flavored ramen noodles, which happen to be the best flavor of ramen from Japan. Ramen has quickly become a comfort food in America as of late, and the ramen here is very good, and has the option of coming with a black garlic oil, red spice oil, or a combo of the two. I highly recommend the combo. It's fantastic.
