Kanpai Classic Soho

An awesome experience. I went for the meat tasting menu (£80) and had a few drinks and was left absolutely amazed. Everything tasted so delicious and the whole serving experience was super satisfying. Service was friendly, attentive and overall left us feeling welcome. Highly recommended!

We celebrated our anniversary at Kanpai Classic Soho on Saturday and we went for Signature Wagyu Cuisine Omakase with Exquisite Wine & SAKE Pairing. Food was truly delicious, every single dish done to perfection, attention to details on a highest level. They asked if there was any special occasion for visiting them and we said it was our anniversary - when desert came it had "Happy Anniversary" chocolate written on the plate! Brilliant gesture! Our special server Jamile was amazing, explaining what we about to eat and very professional, very big thank you to you for making our day even more special. Manager Krzysztof very nice, polite and professional, sommelier we got (apologies, didn't got your name) was very knowledgeable and drinks he served paired nicely with food. Overall AMAZING experience. Highly recommended.

We had Josephine to serve us the delicious wagyu today. She is going extra miles for best assist us and brought me birthday sweet treat. 5 star to the food and Josephine’s smile.

We had an unforgettable meal at this new Japanese restaurant in Soho. We went for the Omakase tasting menu and everything was delicious from start to finish. It’s worth the higher price range! If you want to try wagyu beef this is the place for you! Thank you to Josephine for the great service!

The service here is truly exceptional, making every visit a memorable experience. They offer an impressive selection of Wagyu options, each carefully curated to cater to diverse tastes. To complement your meal, there are lots of Sake drinks available. The Omakase set is delicious and delicate and the portion is perfect. For anyone that enjoys trying different things, I will recommend it. I don’t really like the dessert, however as it is a bit too sweet for me.

Solid 4.5 stars rounded up. Whilst the food was delightful, for the price there was just a slight lacking of a wow factor. Our server Jamie Hossain was very attentive and overall lovely to have. The appetisers with raw beef were a fantastic start, and full of different flavours which I’d love to come back to. Particularly the caviar and tartare, oyster and the carpaccio. Then came the bbq, where the meat was of extremely high quality. But here is where the flavours dulled and relied on the beef, which was of course appreciated, but the lack of accompaniment to the beef meant that there was not much separating this wagyu from other more affordable restaurants, even with the increased quality. In the bbq portion, the Karubi (wagyu with dried seaweed) and the Chuck Flap were the highlights. Dessert was incredible, the hojicha cheesecake was wonderful to finish the meal with. Overall a fantastic experience. I would say the only downside to the restaurant is the atmosphere. It feels like it’s going for several vibes at the same time (high-end service, techno-casual music, casual-inclining furniture, minimalist colour scheme). Would recommend for a date night or meetings with high value clients.

We wanted to do have something special for our anniversary this year and was looking for an outstanding wagyu place and kanpai classic does not dissapoint! We were greeted by kind and welcoming staff upon entering the place, and was served by lovely Afifa. We had the omakase menu and everything was such treat for our tastebuds! Absolutely worth your money 💰 they also decorated our dessert platter with a lovely greeting that I absolutely adore and appreciate. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for good wagyu. Thank you Afifa for the lovely and outstanding service!

I had a fantastic birthday celebration at Kanpai! The service was outstanding, particularly from Krzysztof, who not only showcased well-rounded knowledge of the meat selections but also expertly cooked our dishes to perfection. Jose’s cocktails were exceptional, adding a delightful touch to the meal. A special thanks to Hans and Jennie for their attentive and friendly service. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better dining experience. Highly recommend! 🌟🌟🌟
