Kanpai Classic Soho

I had an amazing dining experience at Kanpai Classic Soho. The quality of the Japanese Wagyu was outstanding! Rich, flavourful, and beautifully grilled. The yakiniku set offered a great variety of cuts, and it was such a pleasure to learn about each one while enjoying the meal. Every dish, from the wagyu sushi( extra order for appetiser)to the chicken kamameshi, was thoughtfully prepared and absolutely delicious. A special thank you to Ms Hopper, who treated us with such kindness and professionalism. The staff grilled everything with great care, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy the experience. Perfect for a special occasion or when you want to treat yourself to something truly memorable. I would definitely love to come back.

I recently visited Kanpai Classic in Soho to experience their specialized Wagyu Omakase menu. Overall, it was a high-quality dining experience centered around premium beef. While the majority of the courses were excellent, one specific dish felt out of balance with the rest of the meal. What I Liked The Wagyu Quality: Most of the wagyu-based dishes were exceptional and lived up to expectations. Creative Pairings: The Wagyu Caviar and Wagyu Oyster were particular highlights. Variety of Cuts: I really enjoyed the selection of Wagyu sourced from different parts of the beef, which showcased a great range of textures and flavors. What I Did Not Like The Curry Course: I found the Wagyu with Curry to be quite overpowering. The spice and richness of the curry masked the delicate flavors of the wine and the other dishes in the sequence. Lack of Documentation: There was no written menu or list provided for the Omakase. It was difficult to keep track of the specific details of what was being served. Improvement Recommendations Menu Refinement: I would recommend removing the curry dish from the Omakase sequence. It would be much better to replace it with more Wagyu Sushi options to keep the flavors more refined. Physical Menus: Providing a written list of the Omakase courses for guests would enhance the experience, allowing diners to follow along and remember the specific details of each cut. Final Thoughts Despite the issue with the curry dish and the lack of a printed menu, I had a very enjoyable experience. The food and atmosphere were great, and I would definitely recommend Kanpai Classic to any Wagyu enthusiast looking for a premium meal in Soho.

A Delightful Birthday Celebration!! I recently celebrated my birthday at Kempai Classic Soho, and the experience was nothing but exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was flawless our host warmly welcomed us and ensured we had a great seat. A special shout-out to our personal server, Ash, whose patience and attention to detail truly especially due to allergies elevated the evening. He guided us through the Yakiniku Feast, a £54 five-piece Wagyu tasting menu, explaining the origin and characteristics of each cut and how best to enjoy them. To top it all off, I was surprised us with a beautiful dessert to mark the birthday celebration. Kempai Classic Soho has mastered the art of customer experience, and we’ll definitely be returning.

Without hesitation - best gastro experience ever! What can I say, best meat we've ever tried, service by Eva was charming and phenomenal. She arranged 5+1 course wagyu selection tasting menu, which was prepared with great care and love, while explaining everything in the tiniest detail while grilling it for us. Great selection of apetizers, side dishes and deserts, all very original and simple yet thought trough. Signature cocktails and sake are also wonderfull. I cannot explain how much of a joy was to visit their fine establishment. You are the best guys, I hope we see you again soon! I had dinner at this restaurant and the experience was outstanding. The service was absolutely flawless, attentive, professional, and genuinely focused on making us feel welcome. You can sense that pleasing the guest truly matters here. The food was excellent across the board. I particularly loved the yellowtail ceviche, beautifully fresh and well balanced, as well as the wagyu gyoza, rich and perfectly executed. We also chose a selection of wagyu cuts, which was a real highlight. Each piece was prepared and grilled by our waitress at the table, using the small built-in braziers, a smart and elegant touch that elevates the experience. The cocktails were excellent, well crafted and precise. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely return.

This is by far the best wagyu restaurant I have been to in London. I have been to other restaurants where the menu was expensive, wagyu wasn't that special and small amount. However, in this restaurant there are so many different wagyu cuts and they've complimented it perfectly with seasoning in different dishes. I had the Christmas Omakase menu. The beef was melt in your mouth.... It was sooo delicious. The meat was cooked to perfection. Cocktails were good too. Service is also excellent. I felt so welcomed and looked after. I'm definitely marking this one to come back to again.

My friends and I recently had the pleasure of dining here, and it certainly did not disappoint. The ambiance was serene and minimalist, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. Regarding the food, we opted for the wubyu set menu, which featured various cuts of meat expertly prepared by the servers right at our table. The cooking was exceptional, and the taste was truly divine. I highly recommend dining here if you are seeking a fulfilling wubyu experience, though it does come at a slightly higher price point.

Outstanding! Everyone working there is lovely. We had the Wagyu Yakiniku Feast and it was divine. They cooked each course perfectly at our table and talked us through each cut. Absolutely delicious! Highly recommend!
