I had an absolutely incredible dining experience at KAO Sushi and Grill! In miracle mile in coral gables. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. On Saturday's they have a great show. Magic and Burlesque a perfect combination for dinner and entertaining. The highlight of the meal was the Argentinian-style meat, which was cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Every bite was a true delight! But what truly made the experience unforgettable was the exceptional service we received from our waiter, Helen. She was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Her recommendations were spot on, and she made our visit feel personal and special. Overall, KAO Sushi and Grill offers not only incredible food but also top-notch customer service. I can't recommend it enough and will definitely be returning for another amazing meal! 5 stars all the way!

Had a great time at Kao Sushi & Grill with my family and our dog! We sat outside, and the atmosphere was perfect—relaxed, comfortable, and made even better with live music. The crispy salmon and spicy tuna sushi were both excellent—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Our server, Bernardo, was fantastic—super friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. It’s a great spot for a laid-back meal with family, and we loved that they had pet-friendly outdoor seating. Definitely coming back! If you’re looking for great sushi, good vibes, and a place to bring your pup, this is the spot!

*Drinks* Lychee Duke Margarita Pasion Caipiarska *Food* Tablita de empanadas Choripan sandwich Kao Tempura Nice quiet place to start the night off. Food and drinks were not up to par with what we are accustomed to but that's okay. The presentation was decent and delivery time was quick.

This place is a hidden gem. Opened for the last 8 years, it's a Japanese, Argentina, peruvian fusion. Please order the sliders and the parrillada! They have live music, salsa dancing, live jazz, and more events Great portions for great prices Make sure to ask for Helen as a server. You can see and feel the passion that she has for what she does

Google
Great experience- it was great in all areas and even had a love saxophonist who made the dinner perfect. We loved the atmosphere and drink specials. We stumbled onto the place and lured by the menu and the entertainment. We are very glad that we had the opportunity to find this place and would recommend it to anyone looking for a romantic dinner date! Perfect 5/5 star review and want to return on our next visit to the area!

Google
LOVED this place! Everything about it was sooo enjoyable! Food quality/portion size/presentation, and especially OMG TASTE!! Had the Grilled Branzino served as a whole fish (no head) butterfly crispy skin-on, Gnocchi in Pomodoro sauce, sliders, delicious Ceviche, and even savory personal suze pizza all at INCREDIBLE value menu prices!! Best restaurant bargain in a while. Service from Claudia and her associates was warm and attentive. Had to ask to meet Chef Georgina to congratulate her for preparing an excellent meal! Even loved the loungey background music Will be back soon! Highly recommend!!!

Google
Food was so good, we had the ceviche. Sushi rolls were half off, our favorite was the huancaina roll, the sashimi quality was great. Our server Bernardo was on point, super friendly and attentive. Always anticipated our needs. The female food runner was very nice and caring. The ambiance is so dreamy. This place is a hit.

Yelp

The decor contributed to a pleasant environment, making Kao Sushi & Grill a great choice for those seeking a satisfying culinary experience.

Yelp
Went for lunch with some friends and had the empanadas, sushi rolls, and drinks. The CAPRESE empanada is delicious, definitely a must have if you love cheese and tomato. I had the white sangria which was alright, too sweet for my preference and only had apples in it which is odd. Out of the four sushi rolls we had the must have is the HUANCAINA roll. Another solid roll was the TIGER roll. TUNA TARTAR roll had a great flavor as well. The lest favorite was the VOLCANO, it was cold and I was expecting more of that warmth, smokiness, and crunch you get in a traditional volcano roll. Parking is hell. Coral gables has gotten wild with the parking situation. The restaurant was empty when we went which worked for us. We sat outside and it was well kept. Our server Claudia was very kind and informative. Would be back for the empanadas and sushi, but not the drinks.

Yelp
We decided to stop here to grab a drink & wait for our table to be ready at another restaurant. We sat at the bar and were greeted by the bartender & she asked if we'd like something to drink. We ordered a cocktail & a modelo. The bartender handed us menus but we declined. She came around again & asked how the drinks were & pushed the food on us again. We decided to grab the check as our table was ready at our original dinner plans & she commented on the fact that we weren't going to grab food. Hopefully next time we return the experience is a little better. The place was empty aside from one party of four at a table.

Yelp
restaurant is super pretty, quiet and chill. food was good and portions great, the only thing is I would like to know that the tacos were made with lettuce, and not tacos, but it was good anyway. The only thing with the service is I expected the servers to be a little more knowledgeable of the menu and how to take good care of guests, I could also notice a language barrier, which is fine, but it made harder to understand how the deals works for the lunch time.

Yelp
Visit: first Atmosphere: indoor and outdoor seating, bright lighting, seems great for date night or large groups like, spacious Food: Ceviche- needed more fish, flavor was good Steak: my husband is picky and he thought it was delish, comes with a side and chimichurri Gyoza- disappointed had an off taste and tasted like a frozen gyoza Pork buns: it tasted like a basic bbq pulled chicken, wasnt a fan- wanted more of variety flavor profile Buenos aires roll- by far saved the day, sweet and the salmon tasted delish the sesame gave it a nice nutty taste and crunchy texture Service- everyone was attentive and sweet Tips: steak and buenos aires roll

Yelp
Had my 40th Birthday Party at the restaurant this weekend!! Georgina and team were absolutely amazing from the event planning, coordinating the DJ, Food and Drink Menu selection to the Amazing service the night of the event. The food was delicious and the restaurant layout is perfect . Thank you for such an amazing and memorable event!!

Yelp
Came for spice lunch with my brother in law and was pleasantly surprised. It's a pretty spacious restaurant with an outdoor seating area as well. For a Tuesday afternoon, it was pretty empty. Service was quick and friendly, with waters being refilled constantly without having to ask for it. They were very attentive. The sauce they put on the edamame is to die for; absolutely delicious. We could not stop eating them! The pork buns are SO good. For the 12 piece sushi entree, I thought it was going to be like just sashimi or nigiri but it was actually a choice of 2 sushi rolls where the chef selects to give you either one or half of both. For dessert, we had both the flan and 4 leches and they were both amazing. Honestly you can't go wrong with either choice.

Yelp
Came here with my best friends for dinner and it was great! We opted to try the Taste the Gables menu and they did not skimp. Totally worth the price! The food was delicious. The wagyu sliders were super tender and melted in the mouth. The chorizo bao buns were also an interesting twist. I unfortunately couldn't finish all of my fried rice, but it was amazing. I added chicken and it was perfect. The dessert was also delicious. The 4 leches was my fave between the two! I'm curious to come back and try other menu items. The service was excellent. They constantly refilled our glasses of water. The restaurant is also very cute and colorful. The price was excellent for all the food served.

Yelp
Went to this place recently and it was decent. The service was pretty good although the day I went there was nobody there but my party. They have a lunch special that includes "soda" but beware it's actually soda WATER and not soft drink sodas. The actual food was pretty good. I got the spring rolls which were delicious and the chef's selection which was also good although everything is a little overdone with sauce. Overall decent experience

Yelp
Being that it was my 1st time being in Miami and for only a short amount of time I tried restaurants that were close proximity to my hotel. Kao Sushi & Grill was one of them. Upon arriving there were plenty of servers around. The ambiance was very nice. Loved the indoor/outdoor setup. I tried the sushi and had the filet minon with asparagus and mashed potatoes. All was very good! The waitress that took my order was very pleasant. One concern tho, It was never explained to me about happy hour or any specials. The vibe that was in the restaurant was not welcoming. Felt like I was being rushed to eat and drink. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be back to Kao sushi & grill

Mary T.

Yelp
Service was outstanding. The ceviche was excellent!! Wonderful fresh and full of flavor. HUANCAINA ROLL* Rice, seaweed, shrimp tempura, avocado, covered with salmon, huancaina sauce, tempura red flakes, sesame seeds, cilantro and lime. Very good too!

Yelp
We would not have discovered Kao without the Miami Spice promotion. Came for Sunday lunch for a family celebration and was immediately surprised by the elegant, yet casual and modern decor of the restaurant. For a second, I thought that it might double as a club in the late evening. Their Miami Spice lunch menu is diverse, representative of their Peruvian, Japanese fusion combinations AND they serve full portions of their dishes. Which translates to proper portions, zesty flavors and a worthwhile deal. Food: 3.5 Stars Decor: 4 Stars Service: 2.5 stars For appetizer: the pork bao buns with crispy pork belly and pickled onions as well as the chicken lettuce tacos were a standout. The Argentinian empanadas were disappointing and not flaky enough. The filling was either oily (carne) or dry (chicken) for my taste. Main Entrees: we had a variety of rolls of which the hamachi and the huancaina roll were buttery, fresh and simply delicious. The rainbow roll and dragon roll were adequate, but not spectacular. The barbecue pork ribs was another great choice - perfectly cooked and seasoned blending that crispy and BBQ-Uey goodness that is so hard to achieve. Dessert: Options were flan and 4 leches. The 4 leches was not spongy nor wet enough to be reminiscent of a 3 leches, let alone a 4 leches. The crème / frosting on top did not match the profile of the dessert. The flan was OK-- Argentinian recipe which is lighter and less caramely than others. Kao has lots of potential and it's area for greatest improvement is in the service. It took about 35 min to bring out the appetizers. I think there were maybe 10-15 other diners in a split indoor/outdoor space that could easily accommodate 50. So a leisurely lunch was exactly just that - but it took 2.5 hours from start to finish. There was plenty of lag time between the serving of the courses. The server was pleasant and friendly, but seems like they were short staffed or not able to handle the # of dinners present. I would come back for the chicken lettuce roll, the BBQ ribs and the hamachi roll. Bon Appetit! Provecho! #MiamiSpice2022

Yelp
The food is great, the kitchen has bad timing. We waited about an hour and a half for our appetizers and then the main course came out 10 mins later we hadn't even finished our apps. And because we waited so long for the appetizers we kept asking for more complementary crispy corn which filled us up and couldn't enjoy our meal.

Yelp
Came here for Miami Spice we weren't sure what to expect, and we were left speechless the food is soooooo good!! and the service is great!!
google avatar

Joseph S.

Yelp
Some of the best tasting food, in all of coral gables. For happy hour $5 house wines with an extremely nice ambiance
google avatar

Frances A.

Yelp
The food here was average. I ordered the filet mignon with mashed potatoes and asparagus and my boyfriend ordered chicken fried rice. The fried rice had good flavor and the portion was enough for 2 people. The filet mignon was under seasoned and the mashed potatoes were not creamy/buttery at all. We also ordered the Argentinian sausage and bread; this appetizer came with one, very small piece of bread and 2 sausages. I had to ask for more bread because the ratio was off. The service was good since we were the only people at the restaurant in that moment. Since we were the only ones there, I can't say much about the ambience but it was a nicely decorated place with a prime location.
google avatar

Juliette Q.

Yelp
Food was great! Very trendy and adorable place. Service was OK, our server didn't seem to know too much about the menu or what to order. She was very nice though. Had the octopus for appetizer and it was absolutely delicious. Then we had sushi for dinner and it was really good. Overall a pretty solid taste is sushi.
google avatar

Vicky S.

Yelp
The Ceviche was the best thing on the menu. It came in a coconut sauce. The kids went crazy die the edimami and ate the whole thing. Also the tuna and salmon nigiri. I would pass on the Lima platter. It was ridiculously sweet and too much mayo.
google avatar

Deby V.

Yelp
Came here for miami spice but ended up ordering from their regular menu. Every plate was delicious! The place was packed for dinner too, and it was a weekday! Their fried rice was the favorite from our table. The edamame was good and veggie spring rolls were great too. Tried some rolls and all delicious! Will come here again. They also have a great happy hour menu.
google avatar

Viviana P.

Yelp
Everything we ordered was delicious! Our waiter recommended the lychee cocktail and it was amazing. The chorizo buns and the wagyu sliders were the perfect appetizers. We also had the churrasco as an entree and the meat with the chimichurri was so flavorful, definitely recommend!

Nabi F.

Yelp
We were pleasantly surprised at how good this restaurant was. Every dish brought out was excellent and the service on point. We had everything from sushi, bbq ribs, octopus, bao buns and tuna lettuce wraps. Highly recommend to give it a try.

Luciene E.

Yelp
The restaurant was practically empty which i LOVED. Felt like the place was rented out for only 3 tables and mine was one of them. Starting off with the hostess, she was such a sweetheart. I had never witnessed someone as attentive as her. She wouldn't let the glass of water go down which I appreciate because i drink alot of water and i find it annoying at other restaurants when i continuously have to keep asking for water. The waiter was extremely nice. He let us know about the spice menu that they still have going on & made some recommendations. The atmosphere is a vibe. The presentation of the food is spectacular. Now, the quality of the food is the only place where they are lacking. The sushi was okay, the roll I definitely wouldn't recommend is the Tiger Roll. It was just not it, i ate two little pieces and didn't touch the rest. As for the other rolls they were eatable and some even enjoyable like the Rainbow Roll, a Fried Salmon one (I think that's what is called), and one that had Red over it. The presentation of the rolls was AMAZING. The appetizers were pork buns and the Tango sliders. Once again, they were just okay & the Tango slider's really weren't all that. What made the Tanto sliders taste good was the sauce it comes with but take out the sauce and it will taste like your average burger. As for the desserts, they were horrible. Skip on them to be honest. The Flan was EXTREMELY EXTREMELY watery. The 4 leches was nore of merengue than anything else. This restaurant has POTENTIAL. It has the atmosphere, the energy, and the customer service. But it doesn't have the food that you are paying for. The total was 161$ with tip but with the quality of the food I believe it was worth 80$. I am giving it a 3 Star review because of the food quality. Improve the quality and you will catch me there again! Will even recommend it to friends. But for right now, I would pass on going again.

Darian P.

Yelp
Great service and even better food. Their cocktails were perfect and balanced but still hit in alcohol content. Got the miso soup and a fried salmon roll, both were perfect and really filling. The staff were very attentive and offered great recommendations and made accommodations when requested. 10/10
google avatar

Danny S.

Yelp
The variety of food is amazing! You can literally get a dish from anywhere in the world! The staff was very friendly and helpful in educating you in the menu and portions etc. They would benefit from a large location but it didn't hamper the experience. Highly recommend. For couples or family/groups.
google avatar

Yelp
We came here last night to try out this restaurant since they were doing Miami spice. An amazing experience and amazing food. My favorite thing out of what we ordered was the poke bowl and the mousse cake. For my entree I ordered the volcano roll and tamago roll but I sadly forgot to photograph it :-/, however it was extremely tasty.

Yelp
2/23/22 Stopped by here for lunch while in Coral Gables. We chose an outdoor table under the front entrance. It was protective from the strong sun but still enabled us to people watch. The host told us they have Japanese/Argentinian/ Peruvian Fusion. Seemed interesting. We started with the Pork Buns. They were 2 x1. I thought we were going to get 2 buns but we got 2 dishes with 3 buns on each. The Pork was very well marinated and the buns were soft and pillowy. The sushi rolls were 2 for 1 so we ordered: Huancaina Roll, Merken Roll, Volcano Roll, and the Tuna Shrimp Roll. My favorites were the Merken Roll (It had a unique sauce and crunchy peruvian corn on top) and the Huancaina Roll (Very unique fusion of delicious flavors) We were stuffed but the food was so good that we hardly left anything over. We also had cordaditos for "dessert". The service was excellent and very attentive. I would love to return next time I visit the Gables.

Yelp
I have been going to this place since they opened and they have gone through different menus and have changed things a few times. Their service is always great; food is very tasty and they are very creative. They used to have specials at noon and happy hour which made it quite affordable, otherwise I find it quite expensive; but the servings are also good servings. My favorite is the Huancaina Roll!
google avatar

Heather C.

Yelp
My friends & I were looking for a sushi restaurant last night & I'm really happy we found Kao. The Volcano roll was so delicious I find myself dreaming about it now lol! It had the right amount of spice and flavor and texture just an all around explosion in your mouth of yummyness. For appetizers we got the Buffalo shrimp which were delicious and a great portion. We also got the Bao buns, which were 2 for 1 so we ended up with 6 which was a great deal. On top of that they were great so no complaints here. For dinner we got the churrasco with mashed potatoes as a side. I will say the mashed potatoes were a bit bland but the steak was pretty good. The service was a little slower than a very hungry person would like but overall it was a good experience and I enjoyed the food. I'll definitely be back & recommend trying this restaurant out!
google avatar

Alyssa R.

Yelp
Interesting fusion dishes. Not the best sushi I've had but it was something new. Good service. Cute ambiance.
google avatar

Len L.

Yelp
Been to this place a handful of times. Mostly take out and had dinner there one time. The restaurant is really nice. Upscale look without the exorbitant prices. They have a full bar, pleasant background music going (at least when I have been there), food is great - everything we have ordered has been delicious! They have traditional sushi and some nice rolls with a 'Latin American twist'. PLUS - rrally nice happy hour specials most every day on both food and drinks! Food comes out quick, servers are attentive and friendly! Absolutely recommend you at least check this place out! It's become out 'go-to' for Sushi and some other nice dishes on the menu.
google avatar

Anelys R.

Yelp
Such a cool spot to eat and vibe at! We came here for a brunch, we had the Miami Spice special, which is a lunch special that is $28 per person. You choose an appetizer, entrée and dessert! I left super full and satisfied! Thank you Kao!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Helen is our favorite waitress because she's attentive friendly and knows the menu. She makes our dining experience memorable. A very attentive professional.

Yelp
The food was great and our server/bartender Carlos was aweosme! I come here all the time! All The food is really good I will definitely come here again
google avatar

Yelp
Bad news first. I thought Kao was a little pricey when I'm stumbled upon it during the pandemic. Now the prices are too rich for me. It is unconscionable particularly in regard to portion size. It is not likely that I will return. However, if cost is not a deal breaker the food is fantastic! It is not the typical sushi spot. Not a large selection of basics. Great rolls. Hamachi roll had an intersesting blend of creamy flavors. The tuna lettuce cups were so fresh. Large pieces of tuna and the citrusy punch of the ponzu sauce brought it all together. But the prices!

Barbara M.

Yelp
Always super, service, food...everything, great ambiance, love the hot Sake too. And its less than 5 min from our house
google avatar

Juliet P.

Yelp
We walked up and we're immediately greeted with a smile from the hostess. Carlos our server was amazing, he made us feel very welcome and did an amazing job explaining the specials!! We ended up getting the tuna roll special that he suggested and it was to die for. Our entrees were also delicious. 10/10 recommend, make sure you ask for Carlos!
google avatar

Wayne M.

Yelp
Bom dia! Okay, not Brazilian. But fantastic Argentinian, Chilean, Peruvian fusion. Awesome presentation, flavor and service. We def will be back as there were so many things on the menu I want to try. Make it a must experience. for any Coral Gables trip.
google avatar

Yelp
In short ..wow...the food, the service, the location, the everything! Oscar served me..he was efficient, friendly and told me there was a deal of buy one sushi roll and get one for free...(thanks for that), that made it a no brainer for me! I ordered one of their favourite and recommended rolls, called the Huancaina roll and also the Tempura shrimp roll. This is their description of their Huancaina Roll (5 pieces $9, 9 pieces $17 Rice, seaweed, shrimp tempura, avocado, covered with salmon, huancaina sauce, tempura red flakes, sesame seeds, cilantro and lime. Believe me this popped with flavour - little hits of cilantro - all my rolls came with the usual Japanese sides such as ginger, soya sauce and wasabi - but you know what - you could eat this without all that!) This is their description of their Tempura Shrimp Roll (4 pieces $7, 8 pieces $14) Rice, seaweed, tempura shrimp, tempura flakes and guacamole. It was as stated - good guacamole (and I should know cos I am the king at making this!)
google avatar

Cassie S.

Yelp
Tried this place after hearing about it from a few different people. We went for a happy hour and tried a few different things. One of my favorite dishes was the sliders. It was so flavorful and juicy and I will definitely be coming back to try their full sized burger. We also tried the Argentinian chorizo buns, those were flavorful but not my favorite out of everything we ordered. We also tried an empanada and it was very delicious. We also ordered cocktails and they were good. Overall it was a good vibe and we will definitely be returning.
google avatar

Tricia K.

Yelp
Came here for the Miami Spice lunch! It was delicious & we got a decent amount of food for $25. You should definitely check it out! I had: Roca chicken - fried chicken bites with homemade potato chips - delicious!! See detailed description below. Huancaina Roll roll - it's a full roll with 9 pieces. It had rice, seaweed, shrimp tempura, avocado, covered with salmon, huancaina sauce, tempura red flakes, sesame seeds, cilantro and lime. Kao roll - this roll surprised me because it was cold but I loved it!! It was refreshing and a nice change from the regular sushi rolls. It had 8 pieces with avocado, hearts of palm, cream cheese, tamago, salmon, tempura flakes and passion fruit sauce. Get it!! Chocolate mousse My friend had: Roca chicken - chicken coated in tempura batter and deep fried served with spicy mayo, togarashi and a side of potatoes chips. Shrimp chaufa fried rice - she said it was spicy but she enjoyed it! It's peruvian style fried rice with vegetables, egg, red onions, cilantro and nikkei style shrimp. Traditional Argentinean style flan - she said it was delicious! The waiter recommended it! We ate outside and had a wonderful time. Our waiter was attentive. Will come again!

Yelp
We came here from Miami spice. The best part about this was a service. We were greeted promptly and offered or Choice of table. Our server was very attentive and friendly. He gave us suggestions and recommendations including the cake selection which is probably the best part of the meal. I'm not sure if it's just my preference, but Peruvian sushi never seems to do it for me. This is my second time having this and I am not quite a fan. Their happy hour menu looks pretty solid with good prices and the drinks look pretty tasty. Maybe next time will come back for some drinks! Definitely if you want friendly service and to be well taken care of this is the spot.
google avatar

Chantal S.

Yelp
We came here for miami spice to try it out because the food looked delicious online and the vibes looked pretty. Their miami spice menu is a great one too with good choices to pick from. Everything was so delicious , so I do not have any complaints on the food. Everything had greaaaat taste!! Lots of flavor!! I would say the service was a bit slow when we went butttt they redeemed themselves because they apologized countless times and gave us complimentary edamame and a dessert. Also our server and the other servers who came by were all very nice and attentive. Great place to come for a casual dinner on a weekday because we came on a Wednesday. Nice ambiance outside as well because it's on miracle mile.
google avatar

Yelp
Great atmosphere, very quiet and intimate. the décor is appealing. we ordered the Kao sushi and the peruvian saltado steak as well as lobster sushi rolls and they were amazing every dish was better than the next i really recommend the KAO sushi. we had octopus for appetizer and it was grilled to perfection! just stay away from the mac and cheese for kid, better off with either chicken or beef and the deserts are ok, we had a vanilla gelato with chocolate infused.

Yelp
Came here for Mother's Day and it was pleasantly empty! We were able to reserve through Open Table. The food was very good! And so was my passion fruit mule. However, the website and the QR code on the table said everyday happy hour 2x1 drinks 4-7... it was 5:45 pm and the waiter said that there was no specials that day, so I could only get one. I thought that was pretty misleading and the website shouldn't say everyday if that's not true. The volcano roll was tasty, and so was the fried rice! My boyfriend got the skirt steak and liked his as well, but the waiter was pretty rude when we asked about substituting a side. 2 stars because the food was delicious but it was pricey and the service and ambiance wasn't up to par.
google avatar

Seniorita D.

Yelp
My family visited Kao on Mothers Day with a party of 10 and we could not have been more satisfied with our visit! Everything was perfect, from the ambiance (decor and music), to the service, cocktails and the food - every single person in my party raved about their experience. In a world where customer service is often subpar, this place was a breath of fresh air. We had the octopus entree, burger, sushi platter, ceviche, linguine, chicken teriyaki and spring rolls - everything was perfect. Thank you so much for helping to make our Mother's Day extra special! See you soon Kao

Yelp
We went for the happy hour specials and it did not disappoint! All of the sushi's were $10 and the drinks half off. We ordered different types sushi so we could all share and all were delicious. Our server was really friendly and attentive. When it was getting closer to the end of the happy hour specials, she reminded us and we ordered two more sushi's and more drinks. We sat outside and at first it wasn't too crowded, but as it got later, more people came. I'd definitely recommend this place for for happy hour because of the great food and prices.

Yelp
First time ordering from Kao and it will not be the last one. Their sushi actually amazed me so much, they are so different from other sushi I have tried that I wanted to get more . I ordered from their website which all sushis are $10 which is great since usually sushi go for 14$-15$. The service was great once I went to picked it up and the wait time was about an hour which is not that bad either I ordered the volcano roll, tuna tartar roll my favorite so much flavor like insanely so good, miso soup and spring rolls. Everything was so good , fresh full of taste . Like i dont have anything negative to add because they exceed my expectations on their food. I cant wait to try more of their sushi rolls and other food variations that they offer.

Yelp
My husband and I fell in love with KAO. But we fell more in love with Helen. We've been in Miami for 8 days now and by far, the sweetest, friendliest and most knowledgeable waitress we have ever met. She was very interactive and playful but very professional. You don't get that type of customer service anymore where you are being treated like a human being or like part of the family. We ate a few restaurants in Miami and they were not even friendly at all. Most looked upset or bothered or even lost. Helen even introduced us to the chef, Georgina. She was very sweet. She took a little time out of the kitchen to chat with us. We will be stopping by before we head back home to California. My husband and I decided we are returning this week. Helen even caught me looking at the menu to see what we will order the next time we come in. She also made my drink. Twice. It was so good. Waiting on her next recommendation. If we lived here, we would come in at least 2-3 times a month for the food and the friendly faces. Or every week. Helen is there on Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays. Ask for her, don't miss out on this beautiful angel.

Yelp
There is definitely a South Beach vibe going on in Kao with a chill atmosphere but also offering good music. I found Kao to have a unique menu with a variety of different roll creations to make you step out of your comfort zone. We tried the Argentinian sausage bao buns and the guava roll. Amazing! I hope to return.
