SO. FRIKKING. YUM.
I was so sad when I saw that they closed initially-- but then I found out that they re-opened in a new location, and I was so happy!
This time around I got the Sisig on top of a garlic rice bowl and OMG. So yum! The Sisig was crunchy and savory and really just hit the spot! I will say though, they still give you a ton of rice but I feel like the portion of meat was good enough (maybe they can make the change? I know I saw a couple of reviews stating that there is way too much rice) Also, the garlic was a little bit weak for my taste, but im a crazy garlic lover-- I wish they had an option to add more garlic (especially the fried garlic).
I also got two tacos: Asada and Shrimp.
Both are very good! The asada was perfectly seasoned and much tastier than a couple of the neighboring restaurants. The shrimp though? SOOOOO GOOD! I dont know what they did to it, but it was so well seasoned and cooked-- I really enjoyed it with the cream sauce and pickled cabbage. So yummy.
Lastly, the Ube Horchata.
I just can't. I literally dream about this drink, it's kind of embarrassing. But im so glad Kaon is back and even closer to my home!
Welcome to the neighborhood Kaon!
