Kapama River Lodge

We were absolutely thrilled with our stay at this hotel located right in the heart of the safari park. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we truly loved every moment of this unique experience. The food was delicious, with a good variety and excellent quality. The people were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always happy to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We went on safari twice a day and were amazed by how many wild animals we were able to see. It was an unforgettable experience — even monkeys came to visit our balcony, which made our stay feel truly special and close to nature. Overall, this was an incredible experience that we will remember for a long time. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for something unique and unforgettable.

We stayed here for three nights! Every moment was nothing but top class service! From the moment we drove into the Reserve we started seeing wildlife, and once we entered the lodge itself, we were taken straight to the dining area for lunch, which looks onto a watering hole in the distance, and in the two hours we spent having lunch, we saw hippos, giraffes, baboons, Impala, a monitor lizard etc! (My perfect type of holiday and location ☺️)The food is excellent! Terrific breakfast, a two course lunch and three course dinner- all gourmet class! All inclusive drinks too! The rooms were excellent, looking over the scrub at the back, and we saw zebra, waterbuck, warthogs etc every now and again passing by!|Most importantly, the safaris were EXCELLENT! We had the ranger/ spotter team of Hancho and Bright, who did an amazing job spotting the big 5 and many other animals, educating us in so many ways, with one tour, tracking the paw prints of a pair of lions! We had the most life changing sighting of a leopard! The safari vehicles were well kept, could seat 9, but we had six, and each morning and afternoon safari would include a stop for morning tea or evening aperetifs! We were also provided a walking safari, all inclusive in the price! I understand Kapama Reserve is a Private reserve in the greater Kruger region, covering about 15000 hectares! It is definitely a LUXURY experience with your every need catered to, and most importantly, comes with EXCELLENT safari sightings!

My group booked a stay at the river lodge property and it was nothing short of exceptional. From the time that we arrived the team was helpful and ready to host us. Z, Grace, Andzi and the fourth guide were a great team of female guides for my group which was majority females. We were welcomed with cold towels and cold drinks. They did a separate checkin for us which made us feel special. The rooms are spacious and well decorated. The housekeeping was excellent and even addressed me by name. The food was surprisingly good and the service from Basani and her team were super. Overall we had a great experience and saw the big 5! I would highly recommend groups to this property.

AWESOME SAFARI EXPERIENCE!!!||the River Lodge is wonderful clean luxury resort. Food and ambiance was on point. The best safari experience with Michael and Witness was very informative and we saw all of the animals including the big 5. Shout out to Owen and Euni at the bars great drinks abd conversation. We recently had the privilege of staying at Kapama River Lodge for a safari experience, and it was absolutely amazing! The lodge itself is stunning, with beautifully maintained grounds and comfortable rooms that exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious, and our server, Tint, was exceptional in ensuring our dining experience was top-notch. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the safari experience, led by the incredible Eve and Ma Fridge. They were not only expert guides but also showed a remarkable ability to connect with our 6-year-old daughter, making the experience enjoyable for the whole family. We were thrilled to spot all of the Big 5 and so much more during our safari, and the guides' knowledge and passion for the wildlife and conservation were evident throughout. What really stood out to us, however, was the exceptional service and attention to detail shown by every staff member we encountered. The lodge went above and beyond to accommodate our dietary requirements, ensuring that our meals were carefully prepared with halal food options clearly highlighted. It felt as though the housekeeping team came and made up the rooms every time we stepped out.The spa treatments we booked were heavenly, providing the perfect relaxation after our exciting safari adventures. Overall, we were thoroughly impressed with Kapama River Lodge, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable safari experience. The staff's friendliness, warmth, and dedication to providing an exceptional guest experience truly set Kapama apart. Simply the paradise! We have met the big 5 and more, in the lush, impressive nature that surround the lodge. I loved the fact that everything is done in full armony with the environment, with great respect for the animals, the real owners of the Kruger Park. All the people that are employed in the lodge are very kind and always smiling.

We would like to extend a big thank you to Michael and Witness for our incredible game drives! We were lucky enough to see the Big Five already on our very first drive, which made the experience absolutely unforgettable. Both Michael and Witness were extremely kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely motivated to help us spot as many animals as possible. They created such a fun and welcoming atmosphere in the car that every drive felt like an adventure shared with friends. Another highlight of our stay was definitely the amazing food – every meal was delicious, beautifully presented, and full of variety. Combined with the wonderful hospitality, this made our time here truly special. We can’t thank the team enough for making our safari experience so memorable – we’ll cherish these moments forever!
