An out of this world experience. Absolutely everything about this place was top tier- from the warm and friendly staff, to the world class dining:- variety- quality and beautifully presented. The most amazing wildlife viewing experiences - we saw the big 5 plus more. Beautifully appointed suites - and a gorgeous spa. Special thanks to Isreal, Zhandre , Amos and Phillip for taking extra special care of us. We can't wait to visit again

This place exceeded any expectations in all ways. We’ve stayed in a lot of places around the world, and this is perhaps the best resort or hotel that we’ve experienced. Our guide Tabo and tracker Martial were amazing; friendly, fun and great at finding animals. They really put our stay over the top. ||In addition to those guys, the other staff were friendly and warm. The food was top notch - I mean high class restaurant meals all included in the stay. The facilities were spotless, the showers excellent, the pools pleasant (though cold in winter), and more. ||If they produced a “White Lotus” season for South Africa, this would be the place it would be and I mean that in the best way. ||The safaris were all that we had imagined and we saw every animal closer than we had ever imagined. Everything was smoothly taken care of at all times. Highly recommend.

We recently spent an incredible few days at Kapama River Lodge as a group of 11, and we’ve all come away with memories that will last a lifetime.||From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed warmly by Amos on the reception team, who made check-in smooth and set the tone for a fantastic stay. Their friendliness and attention to detail were really appreciated after a long journey. Amy was also great. ||Our game drives were truly the highlight of the trip – Dumi, our guide, was simply exceptional. His knowledge, passion for wildlife, and sense of humour made every drive an adventure. He had an incredible ability to spot animals and explain behaviours in a way that kept everyone engaged, from safari first-timers to more seasoned travellers. Panic, another guide we spent time with, was also good – very friendly, and a pleasure to be around.||The lodge itself is stunning – comfortable rooms, beautiful surroundings, and plenty of spaces to relax and unwind between drives. The food was consistently very good, with a wide selection and great variety, although the service in the dining areas was a little hit and miss at times. That said, the staff were always kind and helpful, even if occasionally stretched during busy moments.||As a large group, we felt well looked after, and the staff really helped make our experience special. Whether we were watching lions on the move, enjoying sundowners in the bush, or laughing around the fire in the evening, Kapama gave us a trip we’ll never forget.||Highly recommended – and huge thanks again to Amos, Amy, Dumi and Panic for making it all so memorable!

Wonderful experience. The staff is very friendly, and we saw so many animals on the game drives. The room was very comfortable and spacious, and we enjoyed relaxing on the balcony. They do keep you busy with early wake up calls, but that's the price to pay to see so much. We also really enjoyed watching the sun set and the stars come out while out on a drive. If I had one minor nit to pick, it would be that I wish their lunch and dinner menus had one or two "simple" options. Overall food was great, but sometimes I just want a burger rather than something fancy.

Without a doubt, the hospitality of all the team members was a highlight of our stay! The fact that we were in a place where everything was done on the property, the contact with the staff was constant, and at all times, we were very well looked after and welcomed!||||A special mention goes to three people who made our stay special: the waiter who served us during all our meals, Palow, who was always attentive, smiling, and careful to suggest dishes when we asked! Our gastronomic experience was definitely different thanks to him! And to our dear Funnie and Happiness, our safari guides. WOW! What a treat to be with them during our 6 safaris. Always excited, happy, with such good energy that is hard to find these days. They knew countless interesting facts and made a point of telling us about African culture, animals, and much more! We had some really cool exchanges, and we will definitely miss them! Thank you guys for your kindness to us!

Beautiful resort which caters for all tastes. Our safari tour guide (Dumi) was great and so knowledgeable about absolutely everything safari related.||Nothing was too much trouble for the Kapama Team and the food was of very high quality. We did have issues with food service with almost every meal having something come out wrong. It was annoying at first but by the end of our time there it became a bit of a joke with the waitress who took it in good spirits.||Would 100% recommend to friends

We found Kapama Game Lodge online and booked purely based on the amazing reviews. Having never done a safari before, we did not know what to expect. But this place far exceeded anything we could have imagined. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. The staff greet you warmly, always with a smile, and genuinely go out of their way to make sure you are having a great stay. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly, and everyone from the front desk to the housekeeping team seems happy to be there, which makes all the difference. The food was another unexpected highlight. The lodge is all inclusive, with multiple restaurants across the property, and every meal was gourmet quality. Normally, with all you can eat setups, the food can be hit or miss, but at Kapama, everything is cooked to order, beautifully presented, and delicious. There is a wide variety to choose from, and every dish we tried was excellent. And of course, the safari experience itself was truly unforgettable. We were lucky enough to see the Big Five and enjoyed some of the best wildlife viewing we could have hoped for. Even other guests in our vehicle commented on how rare and special our sightings were. A huge shoutout to our incredible guide Tervin and tracker Thomas, who not only skillfully tracked the animals but also shared fascinating insights about them along the way. This was a true bucket list experience, and I cannot recommend Kapama enough. If you are considering booking, do it. You will not find a better introduction to safari anywhere else.
