I didn’t get any food so can’t speak to that but I enjoyed the cocktails and the vibe. Decent amount of seating and they have ports for charging. Sara Y was super friendly but once her shift ended the service was much slower. Located right by several American Airlines gates. Would come back for drinks but likely not food based on other reviews.

Google
While they were clearly busy, the service was prompt and friendly. Team watched my drink and made sure refills were prompt too. If I'd read the menu a bit better, I might've ordered those eggs over medium. Still delicious. Only gripe is the price but it's an airport and what do you expect. Can't dock a star for it.

Google
The service is excellent and unfortunately the food not so much. I got the veggie omelette and used the QR code to order order it and in the comments section ask for it very soft. What came back? Look like a slab of eggs made from powder. Approximately two eggs worth, with some lump vegetables added. On top of it. I got the whole grain toast and what came out was two half slices. Each one half as thick as a normal slice. So one gets a total of one half of a slice of normal toast. It had the butter on the side but the toast was already cold. It came with some sort of fried veggies, mostly potatoes, some sweet potatoes and a third vegetable of unknown origin. They were a bit tasty but cold and not crispy. The coffee was pretty good. I also got a side order of sausage and that was good. So all in all my s***** eggs and cold minuscule size toast and coffee with the side order of sausage and cold vegetables cost over $40 with tip.

Google
My first time dining at this establishment. The brioche sandwich was good but, the hashbrown tasted off, maybe because of the oil they use. Service was spot on, very attentive and well mannered. Charging ports at some tables which is nice. I will stop again.

Google
Good service, good food and good location. When I walked over, I was seated right away and then almost immediately asked about my drink order. The menu is kind of small but has some good options. I ordered the lemon chicken which was almost like a salad but really good. The chicken was cooked perfectly, the hummus, spinach and other vegetables were great and overall it was a really good dish and a good portion.

Google
We were in a rush, and were looking to grab a quick bite to eat before our journey. This restaurant offered some great meat options and vegetarian options. I and another person in my party ordered nachos and they were absolutely amazing! The food came out pretty quick, was very fresh, and tasty. The service was a little slow, especially when we were trying to pay and get to our flight. All in all, I would definitely return to this restaurant, if given the opportunity.

8am 9.14 the Black gentleman hosting seated us right away. He called out our table number to the ladies multiple times, but no one approached our table, no one acknowledged our table, offered water (not on the e-menu by the way), no one activated our table for the e-process or made sure that we were able to use it. We did, however, see them approach tables of patrons that arrived after we did. Was able to capture the attn of one server who said "you didnt order yet" to which we showed her the error msg. She called out our table number twice more to activate our table, instead of saving time and just writing down our order at that pt. 5.99 for the first round of coffee is a bit steep. The same Black gentleman that was hosting served our plates quickly, offered condiments, and brought me a glass of water. If he wasnt present no one would be served and I wouldve been parched. The food was good like the last time. Big serving of breakfast. The price is expected at an airport, but it was a lot of food. We spent a good deal of time balancing our food on the table bc the table was both loose and woobly. Again, Much Thanks to the guy!!!! We shouldve cash tipped and made sure he received it since he was the only one working, greeting and interacting with customers, even on his break. We didnt catch his name, but Thank You, Sir!!

Google
I got the lamb gyro and it was absolutely delicious! Actual flavorful food at the airport!? Absolutely! You can even pay your bill without having to ask for the check with their QRS code payment system. I paid from my phone and slipped away without wasting any time. Cheers!

Yelp
Here for a quick stop between flights, I ordered the sear tuna the food was OK. The salad came kind of dry so if you want more dressing I would ask for it. This was quick seared and mostly raw throughout so depends on how you like your tuna seared. I ordered water and it never came. Service is quick they try to get you seated quickly. There is WiFi and you can do work while you enjoy a meal. I'd recommend ordering one of their classics hot meals. Right next to the D gates

Yelp
Standard day at the DC airport. Fairly busy late lunch period on a Thursday. I ordered take out and they said about 10 minutes and it came out in 8. I had the salmon wrap and fries. It was as expected, good not necessarily exceptional. The salmon wrap had good flavor and the pickled cabbage provide a good balance of acid. The fries were ok, they looked seasoned but could have used a dash of salt and a better fry. The service was good even though they were pretty busy.

Yelp
They serve a good Aperol Spritz and my shrimp were fine. My server was very accommodating when I wanted to move. I wasn't a fan of the openness of the restaurant. But it was a good place in terminal D to get a bite

Yelp
I appreciate decent airport food when traveling. Kapnos Taverna has some nice Greek gyros, and I always appreciate a good Gyro. Service was friendly and prompt, I just couldn't understand a word they were saying!!!

Yelp
So, it's airport food, but I'm being generous because this food was decent and last time I was at DCA for breakfast I ate somewhere else and the food was nearly inedible. This was solid, and basic, but not bad! I had the egg white spinach wrap which was like something I'd make at home for a quick breakfast so, again, not bad! The frozen, toasted hash brown patty was fine as well. The coffee was decent which is critical before an early flight. Service was fast and good. Tables are spaced far enough apart to accommodate carry on luggage. Definitely not a bad breakfast option at DCA.

Yelp
Ruth Ayele is the best bartender. We truly appreciate every little detail that she did. Make sure you ask for her when you come to the restaurant.

Eric F.

Yelp
Accused of skipping out on the bill. Restaurant uses a smart-phone based ordering and payment system that the wait staff encourages you to use. The system errors-out regularity and requires regular restarts. I did manage to power through ordering and payment. However, when I got up to leave, I was called out in front of the rest of the restaurant for skipping out in my bill. I told the bartender I paid through the app. They told me to wait where I was while they looked it up. After finding my payment record, they told me, much more discretely this time "you're good to go". If you don't trust your customers, don't make them use a contactless payment system. Also, the food was below airport average and the beer selection was poor.

Yelp
Especially at an airport, it's great to find a restaurant with some fresh & healthy options - the black pepper tuna flatbread did the trick, plus was tasty and filling! With friendly and quick service, this was a perfect option before a long flight. Located in terminal 2, in the D gate area near the end.

Yelp
For an airport meal, we both enjoyed our choices (burger and chicken sandwich). Fries were hot and lightly seasoned. Service is limited to your meal being delivered. You have to scan the QR code to order and pay. We did have a hostess to seat us but other than that limited human interaction LOL. I had eaten at a kapnos over by Logan circle years ago that was amazing as I recall. This time, not so much, but not terrible either.

Yelp
Got very prompt service as we sat down at a table for 2 for a late breakfast. Omelette was delicious. Location is very convenient to gates for American Airlines. I saw a baby chair provided to another couple with a young child.

Yelp
I wasn't expecting much from an airport Greek restaurant gateside, but I do have to give high marks for my personal experience here. After going through security, I was walking through the terminal looking for a breakfast spot before my flight. I had about a half hour to enjoy a meal. I came across Kapnos, and had a seat at the bar. They were fairly busy, but not packed by any means. I was greeted quickly by Sara, who was attentive and helpful, and offered quick service. I ordered the Greek omelette with a side salad instead of potatoes. She did try to upsell me on a $7 side of bacon or sausage...in fact, the only downside of the entire meal was the price of all of the items on the menu, the omelette no exception. Though, that's kind of expected in an airport. The Greek omelette was prepared perfectly and super tasty, as was the side salad. I really liked that the Greek salad used some of the same Greek spice blend that was in the omelette. It was honestly a nice, tasty yet simple pre-flight meal that I'd go back for if flying through DCA at breakfast. And I still had time to spare before boarding my flight to get a few gifts for my nephew and niece.

Yelp
Here we go, As my flight was delayed 5 times I figured I would get me something good to eat. This restaurant was my choice. Well as I approached the restaurant which was in the airport the waitress wasn't all that friendly. I was hungry so I just brushed her attitude off didn't want any bad energy on my food. In order to view the menu you had to down load it on your phone. That was Ok because it prevents the spread of germs. Sitting quarters was very tight but I made it work. I ordered the tavern bacon burger. It was cooked well done like I liked it. It had a different type of cheese on it which made the burger taste different but good. Also ordered was a lamb gyro. It was delicious . Overall experience was ok. I will visit the restaurant again if I go back to that airport.

Yelp
My gf and I were skeptical given the poor reviews on this app and others. However, we had a wonderful experience. Service was quick, the food was delicious! We ordered the chicken avocado sandwich and the Taverna burger. Both were amazing and delicious. Yes a little pricey but it's an airport at the end of the day. Fries were lightly seasoned and not that crispy. But overall amazing. I never leave reviews (seriously this is my first one) but A lot of the reviews are old so I felt that it's warranted to give this spot a little update. Cheers!

Yelp
I ordered the most disgusting excuse for a lamb gyro here. The meat was not barbecued and thick cut. Half of the pieces had chunks of fat in it. The pickled onions were a grossly sweet addition to the meat. The fries were chewy and greasy. How does a celebrity chef get away with this?? I will never dine here again. I would advise you to avoid it.

Janice H.

Yelp
I know it's in an airport. I know it's going to be expensive. But I didn't count on was how awful it was going to be. I ordered Gyro with fries. The Gyro meat was like beef jerky. It was cubed, not slices of meat. I could only manage to eat a few bites of food. when the best thing on the plate are the fries, that's a real problem. The food was awful. Don't go there! I told the manager how bad it was and he said, "oh come on! people eat this all the time." I find that very hard to believe. The meat was in edible. It was like eating a rubber ball. Terrible terrible terrible!
google avatar

Ivan Q.

Yelp
Wonderful staff and food. The servers work tirelessly to turn tables over and make sure no one misses their flight. I stopped in and enjoyed a salmon salad. It was delicious.
google avatar

George O.

Yelp
The Greek salad had canned roasted red peppers and chicken was super dry. Then, charged me $5 for a club soda. Seriously?! Horrible food and super overpriced. Also, they serve the fake processed gyro. You would think that being in a busy airport they'd have the good quality authentic gyro. Disappointment is an understatement!
google avatar

Charlie W.

Yelp
The food was great but super expensive! I know it's in an airport...but still.... $50 for a gyro, hummus, and a beer. The food was great!!!! My server was also very nice. So if you want really tasty food and don't mind oaring high prices - then this is your place. Terminal C has very limited options so this may be your best bet.
google avatar

Rachel G.

Yelp
After a co worker didn't like her first lunch choice we grabbed some hummus and a glass of wine. Fast friendly service. The hummus was flavorful. The pita bread was fresh! Good wine selection.

Yelp
My wife and I had breakfast here at the DCA location prior to boarding our flight to Miami. We had what I consider the usual breakfast; eggs, bacon, home fries and toast. All of it came out exactly as ordered- a lot of places will burn the eggs to make sure they're scrambled well; the bacon came crispy which is exactly how I like it, no half burned or half cooked sections. The home fries were also crispy and the toast wasn't burnt. It may seem like I have low expectations but the truth of the matter is that a lot of places can mess up a good breakfast. These folks did it right. It wasn't ZOMG SO GOOD!!!!! - but it wasn't bad either.

Yelp
Kapnos was near empty the morning I dined here, and other options in the terminal were much busier, so I was a little wary. The appearance is nice enough if you are looking to sit down, though honestly, there is no real escaping the airport. We sat along the outside, and entertained ourselves people waiting. Two women were working, and, while not exactly rude, both treated customers quite brusquely. We waited a bit to be greeted, then were hurriedly waved to a table. The breakfast menu felt limited, but we were both able to find something acceptable, and our orders were served within ten minutes. My Greek yogurt was decent, with ripe strawberries, cantaloupe, and honeydew. The topping of granola was generous, and I am glad they utilized plain yogurt, as the drizzle of honey would have been much too sweet, otherwise. Even so, I would opt to have it on the side if ordering again. My husband's breakfast sandwich was fine, though he adores sandwiches, and didn't act particularly excited about it. The crispy potatoes were divine, though, with a seasoning reminiscent of fried chicken! We noticed a diner enjoying the olives and marcona almonds, and they looked quite tasty. It was all overpriced ($15 for a breakfast sandwich? Come on), but it's the airport, so what do you expect? We were grateful for a fairly fresh and healthy option.

Yelp
Airport restaurants always seem to suck ass. Kapnos Taverna is no exception. Prime example of bland overpriced airport food. It has something of a good looking menu with Greek classics. The food is bad and everything is a ripoff. Greek food is typically cheap. It doesn't cost much to purée some chickpeas and serve it with pita. There's fancier items but you usually can find stuff for a good price. Not here. On the menu there's only a few choices and all of these are overpriced. Hummus is one of the cheapest. This is about $10 for a plate. It comes with a few pieces of pita bread. The hummus is plain and watery. It's not that much on the plate for that cost. They also give you plastic cutlery, so it's like you're eating in a cafeteria but you're paying to eat in a high end restaurant. Hummus is the only thing I've had. It's even more expensive for other items. There's not much that's good at this airport but there's still better than this.

Yelp
A good place to grab a bite when waiting for a plane at Reagan national airport. Greek inspired cuisine. Because it's in an airport you're going to pay through the nose but the portions are large and the food is tasty.

Yelp
review of January 18, 2020. Arrived at butt crack am to catch a flight for a long day trip across county. Due to impending storm of the your choice, century, decade....... After driving dropping of car, shuttle and TSA, finally in terminal. Needed a Bloody Mary. Sat down at the bar five minutes before legal time to serve. Sara was put host and started us with coffee, as the seconds ticked she prepped the glasses for our cocktails. At exactly 0601 our nicely presented cocktails where placed in front of us. The trip was a whole another story. Surrounding environment was pleasant and clean. Sara and her co-workers were warm and friendly.

Yelp
It's fine. Typical airport restaurant with limited menu and high prices but all of that is to be expected. Tried the falafel with a side of flatbread and both were fine. Falafel was crisp and adequately spiced but you won't get enough sauce with it so the end result is dry and a bit lackluster. Again, that's fine, I'm not expecting 5 stars at the airport. My husband ordered the chicken gyro and the chicken was cooked well but there just wasn't much of it. Our drinks (Jameson/Pepsi and rum/pineapple juice) just were not good. You wouldn't think those could get messed up because we aren't talking about complicated cocktail concoctions but neither drink hit even slightly (and my husband asked for a double). The problem is, given how frustrating the flying experience can by post-pandemic a solid drink actually IS, in my opinion, a must. Service was friendly and sufficient. If you are at Reagan and want Greek food You are better off going to terminal E (it's not that far) for mezeh and getting a drink...elsewhere. Anywhere else. It's just not worth the $$$ here.

Yelp
I had such high expectations for this place! I love Greek food. The menu was super small. I ordered a gyros.. how could I go wrong! no sides... $17.99! It had a few skewer size pieces of lamb.. it was tough! Very little flavor! Only lettuce and pickled onions ( which I don't care for) and a smidge of tzatziki .. had to ask for more.. I had a draft beer.. which there were no prices on the menu... my bill was $33 before tip! Highway robbery! Think twice before going here!

Yelp
The food and beer was so satisfying. Like eating at a fine restaurant right here in the airport while waiting on a delayed flight. Would absolutely recommend the Brussel sprouts!
google avatar

Leyla M.

Yelp
awful experience. bartender was very rude, dismissive, and not attentive. the jet setter drink is not bad but sweet. i did like their fries - they were seasoned well. the gyro has potential... their lamb is super fatty and chewy. it was also cut too thick for a gyro. they are skimpy with their tzatziki so ask for extra.
google avatar

Mark B.

Yelp
Baffled by breakfast menu item named breakfast gyro with no gyro meat at all. Ordered the Greek omelet with red onion, zucchini, and feta cheese. It was good. Quick service if one is in a hurry.
google avatar

Norm L.

Yelp
Oh my gosh what a terrible gyro. Un-chewable plus a really Ñ, really strange flavor. Turned it in for a Greek salad (hold the meat/chicken/seafood please), & that was ok. But man, how do you ruin a Gyro. Yuck
google avatar

Kristie L.

Yelp
Don't waste your time and money if you're in this area of the airport here unless you want a drink. If you're looking for a quick bite or just anything delicious, then go to &pizza. It's a short distance away, half the price and double the quantity and flavor and with better service too! Sat down between two giant men at the bar to avoid waiting. Ordered a water to start while I browsed the wine list. Decided on the 9 oz. Cabernet -- yum. When I was ready to order the girl behind the bar looked busy so I waited... and waited... and waited. I once tried to get her attention but I wasn't yelling so maybe she couldn't hear me or maybe she was purposefully ignoring me, I have no clue. When she finally came to take my order (and thankfully refill my long empty water), I ordered the salmon filet and she told me it would take 15 min. I had come a little early to not feel rushed so that was fine. When my food came out, it was lukewarm. The salmon was cooked slightly longer than I would prefer but it was the best tasking thing on the plate. The lemon sauce it was in was flavorless and the couscous was dry. The tzatziki like base was mediocre. For $17, I expected a little more... but it's also the airport so I should have known. To be fair though, some airports and restaurants in them have stepped up their game. All in all, go to &pizza down a few steps for a delicious meal!!!

Hannah M.

Yelp
The food here was surprisingly good for quick airport service! Loved the salmon and Brussels sprouts.
google avatar

Mark N.

Yelp
Food is ok. Meh really. Had breakfast sausages that needed more spice. The greek potatoes were nice an crispy but also lacked flavor. Coffee is better than dunkin donuts but not on par with Starbucks. And they had no real cream or milk. Just the fake stuff. Service was fast. Prices high especially given the relatively low quality.
google avatar

Veronika B.

Yelp
Absurdly overpriced food and astronomically priced wine, but hey it's the airport! More (ANY) vegan or vegetarian options for entrees would be very welcome.
google avatar

Brian S.

Yelp
Stopped in here for lunch while waiting for my flight to board because all the other sit down restaurants were full. The place is definitely super busy and unfortunately none of the table have outlets for your laptop or phone chargers. Price points here seemed high even for airport standards. Ordered a falafel starter/app and expected it to be a lot more food for the price but it was only 4 smaller falafel balls. The food was good just overpriced IMO. Liquor/beer also seemed on the high side. For just a small starter and 1 vodka oj the bill was almost 40$. The ordering here can also be a pain... they make you order off the website and everyone that was around me including me struggled to get the site to work properly. Constantly saying error and to try again. I don't think I will come here again when flying through terminal C.
google avatar

Ally D.

Yelp
Hey! Don't eat here! Everyone seems bored and annoyed. Airport restaurants are always a bit cramped, but this place is poorly arranged and crowded. They won't let you order the kids chicken - at any price, for no reason. I just got blank stares and "that's for kids only." So you have it, you can make it, I have money, but I can't have it? Okay. We order a wrap. She asks if we want a side of fries, and we say sure. It costs extra - to be expected. Except the only side of fries on the menu is part of the kids menu. Sooo I can have the kids fries, for the kids price. But not the kids chicken, for any price. For no reason! And with no cares given. The only customers in here who seem even slightly impressed are the ones being served their third drinks.
google avatar

Roma S.

Yelp
Food was awful. I ordered the lamb gyro and the meat was so tough. I think it loosened one of my teeth. I guess I should have known better than to expect good food at an airport. Overpriced and subpar. If airlines weren't so cheap and still served snacks and drinks, I would have done without lunch but the thought of doing without for food and drink for a long haul was a bit daunting. I think next time, if I'm faced with going to the desert of an airport terminal for American I will pack or buy some nuts.

Svetlana N.

Yelp
We had a long wait and decided to have breakfast. Food was good, very fresh and hot of the skillet, but of course super overpriced. But the manager definitely needs to change the plates that they serve food . The color and design of the plates was the most disgusting and unappetizing I have ever seen in my life. Who would even design something like that and then who would ever purchase it for their restaurants? It looked like it was dirty , splattered with poopy spots. I even took pictures .I wanted to tell the server to let her manager know, but I know she would not care a bit.

Laura W.

Yelp
Please do yourself a favor and do not patron this business! The service from the bartender was literally horrific!!! She is a miserable soul who needs to not be in the service industry. I literally am writing this review as I sit here watching her, begrudgingly doing what she is paid to do
google avatar

Yelp
Airport food is rarely "where it's at," in my opinion. I usually just buy yogurt or a salad--something quick and to-go. But on this day, I was STARVING, and I love Greece and Greek food, and this place just happened to be right next to my gate (in DCA), and I thought, "YES. This is happening." I sat at the bar. This is where all the solo travelers sit and not talk to each other, but no matter. The bartender/waitress was really friendly, and when I asked for her opinion on the roasted cauliflower, she said it was really nice (she added an explanation of its ingredients, but I've forgotten the details. Big picture: I wasn't sure if it was sufficient as a meal, but it sounded like it was). At her suggestion, I also added some chicken. Let me just say: 1. it was the perfect size/amount/complexity to serve as a meal 2. That was some of THE BEST CHICKEN I've had on this side of the Mediterranean. HOW DID THEY DO IT? The chef must be Greek, or there's a portal in the kitchen (a la Lion, Witch, and Wardrobe) that leads to Greece--that's my explanation. This was an amazing place to stop and I'm really glad I did! ps. the menu is pretty small and with the exceptions of the obvious (gyros, tzatziki), there wasn't a lot of "real" Greek dishes. But my recommendation is the cauliflower with the grilled chicken.
google avatar

Anna M.

Yelp
Cute small casual place to eat while waiting to catch a flight at DCA. Our server, Ashley was very pleasant and attentive. However, the kitchen was not. We started out with the hummus which was made well and tasted comparable to other hummus plates. For our entrées, we ordered the Lamb Gyros (sans pickled onions), Chicken Gyro, and some fries. Both the gyros were delicious. Unfortunately, my lamb was a bit undercooked. I normally do order my meats rare, but this was very rare. The fries? Our time was limited and we were so hungry that we never realized they were never brought out to us. Luckily, Ashley amended the bill and all was right with the world. Great place when your entire order has been brought out to you and your food's temperature is cooked to your liking.

Yelp
This was my lunch time stop for beginning my Euro adventure. I had tried one of these at the Nationals Stadium and liked it. I had the Feta and Tomato salad but they added way too many onions and peppers which were not even on the menu! They pour a great Stella; see the pic! Great location for American Airline gates!

Yelp
Food that's better than typical airport fare, at prices that are twice what they should be. I stopped here recently for a quick pre-flight lunch, and enjoyed the lamb gyro: nicely grilled chunks of lamb, grilled red peppers and onions, pleasantly tangy tzatziki sauce, all on a very fresh pita. The gyro was fresh, tasty and filling, a nice alternative to the junky fast food you often see at airports. At $17, it was also overpriced. To accompany the gyro, I ordered the Greek side salad: a small plate of iceberg lettuce, some cucumber, tomato and onion, vinaigrette and oregano. Small, basic, not especially well-plated, and to me not worth the $6 price. Service was attentive and fine, the food came out quickly (a key concern if you need to catch a flight), and seats at the bar offer charging cords for phones. In the end, my meal of gyro, small side salad and water came to $30 including tax and tip, which is kind of ridiculous. At Reagan Airport, the Starbucks, Dunkin' Donuts, Five Guys, etc. don't charge appreciably more than they do at their non-airport locations, so why is Kapnos charging so much? Looks like they're trying to take advantage of a captive audience, which is a shame.

Yelp
when I was traveling to NY for business, I would often connect through D.C. National airport and I would come here for lunch or dinner. This is a wonderful Greek restaurant with great food and excellent customer service. The salmon melted in my mouth, and their garden Salad was extremely fresh and crisp. The staff is very friendly and courteous and willing to help you out with whatever you need. They are very attentive to everyone who enters the restaurant no matter how busy it gets during rush hour or even the slow times in the airport. They have a good wine selection and craft beer selection on the menu. They have a full bar, but I am more concerned with the wine and beer selection when I go to a restaurant. I do not think there is a bad food item on the menu at this restaurant and I look forward to coming here again the next time I am able to travel again for work if I connect through D.C.National airport.

Yelp
I know it's airport. But Jeesh - $47 before tax and tip. For breakfast. And I was served on a plastic plate with plastic silverware. That photo I Posted of the pomegranate mimosa - that was before I even took a sip. 1/3 of a glass. The Greek Yogurt was delicious. I don't know about $11 delicious. The eggs were over cooked. Horrible. And only 1 slice of toast.

Yelp
Airport food can be hit or miss. This establishment does an admirable job. I was here when the terminal was packed on a weekday . I had the option to wait awhile for a table, or be seated right away at a bigger table with other people. I opted for the later. It was fun to sit with a bunch of people I didn't know and have a conversation. Actual talking. No awkward silence and smart phone usage. The food was good, the service was prompt and I generally enjoyed myself. I had an attentive server who was working multiple tables and had a good attitude. All in all, a good experience.

Yelp
We were not at all impressed by this Kapnos Taverna location. It took us a full 25 minutes to be seated because their seating system is really disorganized and there were individual people sitting at what should have been 2-person or more tables. We were really worried about missing our flight. We each ordered wine and beer and I opted for the Brussels sprouts with chicken, while FI (now husband) ordered a burger. The chicken was SUPER dry and awful! I could barely finish it. The Brussels sprouts sauce was also very disappointing. FI was not much happier about his burger... service was not as quick as we were hoping for, given we had a flight to catch, and we had to flag our waitress down several times to take our orders and also to get our check. Stressful. That being said, I'm still interested in trying the other Kapnos locations around DC. Maybe this place was just awful because it's an airport bar/restaurant and those tend to not be good... Either way, it was a disappointing experience and the only thing saving this review from 1 star is the fact that the food was at least somewhat edible.

Yelp
The food was good, expensive but good. However, I was completely turned off by the plastic utensils and plastic "scalloped" plates. I find that kind of just BLATANT WASTE just disgraceful. If I had realized that a top chef would serve all food on plastic while posing as an upscale establishment in a Major US airport... just cheap. 3 stars for being cheap and totally not eco friendly. Glad I was able eat well as a plant based person. Service was good. Tried mike's beer (Saison) too. Tasted like a gloried Budweiser. All in all-try harder
