I really wanted to love this restaurant. The ingredients and cooking are of high quality, with a skilled team but there are key issues to fix: 1) Aside form the sommelier, no one cracked a smile through the service, so for a 2.5 hour experience, it felt really long and serious. A few smiles and upbeat music would help greatly. 2) Almost all the dishes were over seasoned/salt. Fishes were beautifully cured and prepared, only to have you compete with too much salt or sauce at the end. (See pictures) It's excellent cooking, but needs a lighter hand on the salt. 3) My partner cannot eat meat which I informed them days ahead. They excluded the meat items but offered ZERO replacement . For example, A5 beef with mushroom rice they could at least given him more rice, but rather he got a half empty plate. Also the pork-fat cookie at the end, they can easily gave him an extra piece of chocolate instead. It showed a lack of care and planning.
These are all easy things to fix, I wish they can adjust to get to a 1 star. I can see why no star is given to them...yet.
