The 15 Best Filipino Restaurants In SF - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"There’s no shortage of regulars at Karilagan. That’s thanks to the generously portioned food that keeps people coming back. Our never-changing order is the garlic-heavy longsilog, kare-kare that hits your nose with the smell of peanuts before every bite, and the just-sweet-enough banana turon to end the meal. It’s walk-in-only, but even with a full dining room, tables turn over quickly." - gabi moskowitz, julia chen 1, patrick wong

Google
thank you for a great dinner ❤️🙏❤️ we ordered sisig, crispy pata and beef sinigang - all of which were promptly served: hot, crispy, delicious we missed home-cooked meals and Karilagan delivered them. the place is simply decorated, and it gives a homey-vibe with regard to the tip showing up in the bill: yes, we also got surprised on it. hope management would rethink about it as we would have given more (",) kudos!

Google
Amazing food. Scammy business practices. Food items have hidden surcharges from menu price. They secretly selected 18% tips on my behalf and just asked me to sign the bill. Added food photo as proof. Amazing calamari. it's so unfortunate that they choose to practice business in a dishonest manner.

Karilagan is one of the better Filipino places to eat in the South San Francisco / Daly City are. The portion sizes are huge so bring a big group to eat with you. Here are the dishes I recommend: - Crispy pata (5 stars, 2 shanks for $20): crispy pata is a double fried pork hock. The serving size for this dish at Karilagan is massive. It's served with a delicious spiced vinegar sauce on the side. - Sizzling sisig (4 stars, $13.95): sisig is pork chunks and some intestines cooked with garlic, onion, peppers on a sizzling plate. It's delicious. Order this. - Bulalo (4.5 stars, $18.00): bulalo is beef shank soup served with vegetables. If you want a soup to complement your other hearty Fiipino dishes, this is the dish to get! - Sitaw kalabasa (4 stars, $14.00): this is shrimp and pork cooked in a spicy coconut milk with squash and green beans - it's probably very different from other Filipino dishes you've tried and is a nice veggie dish to have on the side. - Pancit miki bihon (4 stars, $12.50): this is a mix of egg and rice stick noodles). It's a delicious combo! This is a true sit down Filipino restaurant. Bring a group with you and enjoy these dishes!

Google
Oh man, this place has the most dope Filipino food I've ever had!! the atmosphere is quite friendly and welcoming, the food is undoubtedly comfort food that is absolutely delicious and the service is outstanding!! As close to eating in Manila as u can get without getting on a plane!! I can't say there is any dish I would not recommend but I did enjoy the fried pork leg. I would generally recommend anything fried at this place. the noodle dishes are also when wonderfully light. the prices are friendly, the portions are sizeable and the bathrooms are nicely accessible. Highly recommend the fried fish, as well. parking is not so easy but get there early or prepare yourself for a bit of a walk which is not necessarily bad since the portions are so big you will likely want to walk it off. highly recommend.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Google
Service is not ok because we were served with disposable cups while other guests had glasses on their tables; food is overpriced and the receipt automatically charged 18% while there’s only 2 of us. IRS should review the cash registers of restaurants on top of Over Charging Tips of overpriced food.

Aayushi Trivedi

Google
Tried their Bulanglang without shrimp and Pancit Bihon! The portion size made me go “woah” (literally). One portion size is more than enough for three to four people.

Google
Be forewarned, portion sizes are for large family-style dining. Come with a crowd or expect to take leftovers. Seafood Sinigang, soury tamarind broth could have used just a touch of sugar (or something) to cut through the prominence of acid. Crispy Pata pork trotter, well-cut and fried. Pakbet Ilocano, though good, could have benefited from some coconut milk. A shock, the bill came with “service charge” already written in. While we normally leave a standard 20%, the waitstaff here seems more content with 15%, and so that’s all we left.

I came from a night shift duty; me and my wife decided to eat outside because we don’t have time to cook and prepare food for us and for our toddler as well. We usually go to Max’s restaurant (because they served filipino foods far better than any other Filipino restaurants here in South San Francisco area). As we passed by Max’s, there’s a restaurant that caught our eyes just before the restaurant and its called “Karilagan”, we decided to try their food but to our suprise, it’s not that scrumptious as what it depicts in the pictures on their website, my wife jokingly said to me: “ MAS MASARAP PA AT MAS NAUUBOS KO PA ANG LUTO MO DAD KESA DITO SA LUTO NILA”.. which I replied: “sabi ko na sayo mag Max’s nalang tayo eh!”, after eating a portion of every meal that we ordered, we decided to asks for “to go boxes” to bring home all the leftovers, we even asks for our bill, and to our surprise there’s a certain thing as “SERVICE CHARGE” which on our part did not expected it that is included in our bill, they never told us beforehand and this is our first time to hear about this thing. As far as I know, it is not allowed to charge a customer without their consent apart from the overcharge from their food. I attached here the article that states about “service charge” for everyone’s information. After this day, me and my wife decided not to come back in this restaurant again, NEVER AGAIN..

Yelp
Great authentic Filipino food! We originally wanted to try Chibog, but they weren't open the day we wanted to visit. We got the sisig and kare kare and both were delicious. The sisig was a little too citrus heavy for us, but still good. The only downsides are the parking and the quantities are huge so if you're coming as a party of 2 you're most likely to take a ton of leftovers home!

Yelp
We've tried this place a few times! I wanted to come here specifically to try the sizzling bulalo as there is this girl that just kept popping up on FYP and she went here like 3 times in a week so I just determine to try this! I really don't know what I was expecting, but it was decent! The meat tasted like bulalo meat and I wish the gravy was more gravy like if that makes sense. I think I was heavily influenced by social media, but I don't think I'd order this again here! I'd go for their other menu items!

Yelp
6.22.25 I've been here a handful of times pre pandemic and the food was so good! I went again in the early days of the pandemic and the food was just ok. I went again today to give them another try. The dinguguan had too much vinegar. The Kare Kare was too watery and didn't have enough peanut butter taste. What I didn't like was they automatically put in an 18% tip onto the bill. The tip wasn't printed on their menu and the employee didn't tell me. Service was fine- food came out quick and they brought it to my table. It feels icky being forced with an 18% tip when it was more of a 15% tip kind of service. Parking- street parking

Yelp
This is our first time ordering here through DoorDash.... The portion is good. We ordered Crispy Pata, Pork Sinigang and Bangus with vinegar with Coco ChaCha for dessert. The Crispy Pata was big but it didn't have any seasoning whatsoever so it was bland. The Pork Sinigang was the same there was no taste to it at all. It is more like nilaga or just water no tang at all to it, so I had to remedy it at home myself to add flavor. The Coco ChaCha dessert was the only one that was good. I haven't tried the bangus (milkfish), so I hope it is not bland as well.

Yelp
If you think they close at 8pm - think again! We've gone at 7:30pm and they say the kitchen is closed! And that wasn't the first time! Food is good- service is bad- Does not make the meal enjoyable!

Yelp
My husband is Filipino - his family and friends swear by this place in terms of authenticity and flavor. We ordered the kare kare, sisig and pancit miki bihon. Kare kare was a little watery for my taste but the sisig was the best I've had. However, I now understand why they had so many takeout orders and only 2 tables filled. The service is lacking. The two owners seem to not care at all and it felt impossible to get their attention. The ambiance is also definitely a no-flair spot with plastic plates and cups... The most shocking was when we got our bill. I wish I read the other reviews because they include a 15% tip (no matter what your party size is) and it's not posted anywhere. We felt this was disgraceful given they had no servers (just the owners) and because this allows them to not provide service to customers. Next time we will definitely be ordering for takeout.

Yelp
Amazing portions here and fast service! It all tasted so amazing and truly reminds me of homemade Filipino food. The chicken tinola had a good mix of chicken and vegetables with the amazing gingery and garlicky broth. Pancit Bihon was a huge plate and was very flavorful! Had a good amount of chicken pieces (also includes shrimp but opted out due to allergies) and veggies! Lechon Kawali is my partners favorite and for good reason! It is perfectly crunchy and comes with the classic Mang Tomas sauce on the side. A good mix of fatty and meaty pieces.

Yelp
Having grown up in the Bay Area, especially around South San Francisco and Daly City, the Filipino influence is strong so one can expect that the cuisine is a reflection of that culture. It has taken many years for me to go here but Karilagan does not disappoint. The interior is simple, elements of the Philippines adorn the walls and we also lucked out to miss the lunch crowd and were seated right away a bit after 1pm. When you look at the menu, it's extensive. If you love Filipino food, the variety makes you feel like you're at a relatives' party and they've put out 20 dishes with all the sides and you have to figure out what to eat because it looks so good. From silog options available all day to soups (bulalo was amazing), appetizers (calamari comes with vinegar and onion sauce for the side), meat dishes (get the binagoongan, delicious) and seafood/veggies (the Bicol express was my favorite!), there is something to satisfy everyone's palette! And the portions are huge! We came with a party of 5 total and ordered 5 dishes and went home with leftovers enough for another meal for 3 more people. For 5 people it was really good, $120 total so $24/person. Street parking was pretty easy for us to find.

Yelp
Other than the clumps of flour throughout my lengua in cream of mushroom, the flavors are ok. Portions are huge, but definitely overpriced.

Yelp
15% auto tip! No thank you! It doesn't matter how many people are in your party either.

Yelp
I was craving something warm and cozy. I thought Nilaga was perfect on this cold day. I got it to go with a side of rice to eat at my office. It appears expensive for soup BUT you do get 2 containers which is enough to share for 2-3 people. Cost was $25 for 2 containers of Nilaga and one serving of steamed rice (I only ate half). I still have leftovers to share or to eat tomorrow! Service was good. I had to ask for utensils but they were nice and friendly. My dad and brother used to love to go here. The food was just as good as homemade cooking when my Lola (grandma) used to make it. It was worth satisfying your craving for delicious Nilaga highly recommended!

Mariteza N.

Yelp
Food is delicious , we ordered fried Catfish it arrived hot and crispy. The beef Nilaga the soup is perfect and meat is so tender . We haven't been here for a while glad nothing has changed.

Yelp
Been coming here for years. All the dishes are authentic Filipino dishes. I take anyone I've met that has never had Filipino food here. There's a lot to get high blood pressure from here and it's fantastic. I usually get the following: Sisig is kind of a spicy taste to a sizzling pork plate. Bistek is...beef steak with lemon/soy sauce/beef broth with onions. Crispy pata - fried pork. Order the mang tomas sauce for pork. A shit ton of garlic rice. Bangus belly - fried milk fish. Watch out for bone but my god the crunchiness of the edges where the meat is just sends me. The vibe is family style. I like how it's not one of those fancy Filipino food places that serve this same quality (really authentic) but you pay extra because it looks extra fancy. Also for dessert, head next door for some ensymada. If it's open
google avatar

Tanya T.

Yelp
An unassuming hole in the wall that serves up delicious, hot, fresh, giant-sized filling dishes in a vibrant relaxed atmosphere. The milk fish served in a sizzling plate with their delicious vinegarish sauce was the best thing I had in a very long time. The pancit was delicious and fresh and the servings were huge! The price was cheaper than I expected for this quality and delicious meal. Note: Tip is automatically added when credit card is used or at least thats what happened with our order. My only push is that they ease off the strong chemical spray used to clean tables. I am highly sensitive to strong chemical smells and found myself uncomfortable and struggling to breathe at times. Other than that, the food I highly recommend. I can't wait to visit again...and again...

Yelp
This restaurant is so bad. My family ordered mechado as one of our to-go orders & LITERALLY it was 90% fat. There was barely any meat to eat.

Yelp
Horrible, traumatizing experience for our disabled child. Customer service and lack of empathy is ridiculous. We are a party of 9 with a service dog. We enter the restaurant. It is not very busy with plenty of available seats. The hostess/waitress immediately "You can't come in here" and motions her hand towards our daughter's service dog. We inform her that she is a service animal and she continues to state that we can't bring her in. She won't even come up to us and is saying this while continuing to multi-task in the restaurant. I ask her why we cannot and she keeps saying that we just can't. And I keep letting her know that we have a service animal and even point to the sign on their door. She then says we need a paper. I inform her that I have documentation and the service dog has tags, and she continues to say we can't bring the service dog in. She doesn't even attempt to look at any documentation. At this point, our party doesn't want to dine there anymore but I felt this still needed to be addressed since it isn't right. I asked again why we couldn't come in if we had a service animal. And she rudely responds talking under her breath and shaking her head. She then goes over to the other staff and it appears she asks one of them and they continue to say no. I stated to her, "so you're denying us access here due to our service animal". Again she shakes her, talks under her breath, and keeps trying to multi-task on the floor. We then walk out after about 5-10 minutes of this interaction. She follows us out and says she called the owner and we can come in but we need to stay on the side and my daughter's service dog needs to be put in the corner. I told her "no thank you, we're leaving" and also mentioned that we will be reporting this establishment to the ADA for denying us access due to our service animal. Sad, sad day. Shame on you Karilagan. Please train your staff to deal with such sensitive situation, especially if you going to have that sign on your door.

Yelp
April 2023 Dine-in: 3.5 stars rounded up Huge portions, I took home 2 dishes and had leftovers for days. I was really excited about the crispy binagoongan but unfortunately none of it was crispy. The flavor was there but not the texture, which is a big miss considering the dish is called "crispy". Their bangus sinigang was good, nice and sour. Love that they give a good portion of spiced bagoong for the kare kare. My parents love their pancit miki bihon. I guess I'm just not a big pancit fan. Their halo halo was traditional and hits the spot if that's what you're craving. We shared 1 between 4 people and it was enough. April 2024 Party Trays My dad requested Karilagan for his birthday. The pricing was higher than what was advertised on their website and didn't find out until it was time to pay. Looking at the menu now and the pricing hasn't been updated since 12/13/21. We ordered the following full sized trays: - 1 Pork sisig - 1 Pancit miki bihon - 2 Lumpiang shanghai - 1 Pinakbet - 1 Crispy binagoongan The total came out to $846.04. The food came out as expected for catered Filipino food. Don't expect anything crispy once it's time to eat. They try to keep it crispy by separating the sauces, which I appreciate, but it is what it is. We ended up throwing the lumpia in the oven in batches to re-crisp them and that worked. I'm assuming the crowd favorite was the pork sisig since I didn't get any leftovers of that. Parking was tough on Saturday at 12:30pm. I was by myself and was forced to double park in order to pick up and load the car quickly without any help. So, if you plan to pick up lots of food, bring someone with you and don't expect help from the staff.

Yelp
I have been coming here for over 15 years To be honest the food is great. But the service is horrible. They turn customer away everyday because they don't want to stay. Hours say open till 8pm. But if you get there anytime after 7pm they will only take to go orders. They won't seat you because they want to leave early. Not sure who owns the restaurant. Or if they are even aware of what the staff does. Sorry to say this is a big turn off. Hopefully they can get it together.

Althea D.

Yelp
My family and I used to always go here and order from here for family parties. Today we had a large order, in the kare kare, there was a cooked rubberband. The food is overpriced. The taste is very watered down. The bicol express is not bicol, it's pinakbet with gata and no bagoong. My Tito is from bicol and we know what bicol looks and tastes like. The bbq tastes like banana ketchup sauce. The sisig has too much fat compared to what it used to be and doesn't have enough dry. The guy who took the order was rude. Service sucks! Client experience is horrendous. It's not the same service as the old owner. We're never coming back here again.

Yelp
Good food but place are small yummy and it's recommendable the kids like the beef steak we always eat here & order to go

Yelp
Good location with ample parking Ambiance is okay Food is not that good We ordered pancit which is okay but a little salty Bulalo is good Tocino is okay Filipino beef steak taste old and looks old Chicharon bulaklak is good Kare kare has big cuts of oxtail. Taste okay but not great eggplant torta is good for those who loves ground pork Calamari is good

Yelp
We came here for lunch on a Sunday. There were 10 of us and reservation was made ahead of time. Environment very casual. Food was served right away. Staff was very attentive to us. The Kare Kare was the best.
google avatar

Rochelle 'Shella' T.

Yelp
Good food and good variety of food. Our kids enjoyed their chicken barbecue and Limpia Shanghai. We were caught a little off-guard with the Lomi. It was a little different from what we're used to or what we expected. My hubby liked their Dinuguan. I am not a big Dinuguan fan myself but I did like their rendition of the dish. We ended our meal with some Halo-Halo for dessert: Yum!
google avatar

Matthew G.

Yelp
ordered food over the phone and when i got there it was all ready for me. they even called to tell us the food was ready and when we were going to pick it up. we got the sisig, lechon, pancit, lumpia, and pork adobo. everything was pretty solid. my only gripe was the lechon was a bit more fatty than meaty and the adobo had some giant fat chunks as well. but the flavor was there. in a town with lots of filipino options, you gotta stand out so people keep coming back. i think id come back. its located off el camino near an auto shop. plenty of street parking. the place itself is a decent size if you want to dine in. seems very family oriented.
google avatar

Fiona T.

Yelp
The servings are pretty big! The crispy pork belly was very juicy. I recommend it. The kalabasa wasn't as good as the last time I got it but still good. You're guaranteed to find something everyone likes on their large menu
google avatar

Mike T.

Yelp
We usually order for catering and dined in a long time ago. We recently dined in the restaurant and the mixed adobo and sizzling bulalo was so good. Meat was really tender. The bulanglang was also so good. Felt healthy after eating it. We tried their halo halo and pandan combo. We loves the pandan combo better than the ube halo halo. Typing this up is making me want to go back to this restaurant for some food. The only thing that bugged me was the slippery floor under the table. Felt greasy to me. Would be a better experience if it was cleaner.
google avatar

Joan Q.

Yelp
I was craving authentic Filipino food for my birthday and traveled over an hour to eat here. We were not disappointed. Ordered sizzling gambas, sotanghon, mixed adobo, sisig and sitaw and kalabasa. The portions were huge that it could have fed a family of 5 - it was just me and my husband :-) The staff was friendly and the price can't be beat. All these food for less than $100. Average price of the dishes was $15.

Yelp
Gotta admit that I didn't expect much from this place, but such a good neighborhood Filipino restaurant! Honestly think that it's even better compared to a lot of local joints in the Philippines itself. Seafood sinigang: asked them to make it extra sour. Good stuff especially on a cold windy day. Came loaded with so much seafood and vegetables. Huge bowl. Totally worth it. Beef kaldereta: omg this was fire! The beef was extra tender and you can tell that they've stewed it for a while - honestly a great sign since a lot of places have hard beef cubes and you can tell that they haven't. Lots of meat. Lots of olives. Lots of yum sauce. I could eat this sauce by the spoonful. If you like beef stews, go for this. Overall, pretty great Filipino restaurant that offers a lot of options at reasonable prices and big, generous servings. If you're craving for legit homey Pinoy food, can't go wrong with checking this place out.

Yelp
(Updating my 10 year old review based on our most recent visit amidst COVID) Karilagan is an oldie but a goldie. A South San Francisco gem that's been around for nearly two decades. Their authentic Filipino flavors and attentive service keep us coming back. Took my mom on a lunch date for some of our favorites over the weekend. A bit of sticker shock since it cost as much for two people in the pandemic what it used to cost to have dinner with my family of FIVE pre-COVID. But we left full, happy, and with enough leftovers to split between both our households. [Highly Recommended Table Spotlights] Crispy Binagoongan: Crispy pork belly served with eggplant, tomatoes, and onions sautéed in bagoong (shrimp paste). Custom: I asked for it deconstructed with sauce on the side to adjust the amount of saltiness from the sauce per serving, but primarily to preserve the golden pork's dreamy ASMR crunch on its crispy skin. Sitaw Kalabasa sa Gata: String beans, kaboche squash, shrimp, and diced pork in a spicy, coconut milk sauce. This is my all time favorite vegetable dish and absolutely mandatory for me no matter which Filipino restaurant we go to. The rich coconut milk and savory garlic balance the sweetness of the squash. Love the contrasting textures of the soft kaboche and crunchy string beans. Pancit Bamie: Clear vermicelli & thick chewy Cantonese egg noodles (my favorite noodle) tossed in house pancit sauce. Chockfull of chicken, shrimp, and veggies. My mother comes here for this noodle dish every chance she gets.

Yelp
Here's the reality. I was born and raised in the Motherland. They have the best Filipino food around here and anywhere else I've eaten in the Bay. On the flip side, they have the WORST, WORST absolute WORST service I've also experienced. They are consistent with the terrible service. They started charging 15% tip on your bill probably because no one was tipping them from the horrible service. What IF you changed your attitude, and make MORE than 15%? How and why would you live your life being so salty and yet have a customer facing job and make everyone who comes across your salty ass miserable while eating the best food? Post Covid they are down to only 6 hours of business a day. 3 for lunch and 3 for dinner. On Xmas eve we came in at 715 and they said they were only taking to go orders. They do this often. You walk in an hour before they close and they'll tell you you need to hurry up and eat. Please find something else to do with your time that is fulfilling and makes you happy. Owner of this place, please contact me.

Yelp
Food was only ok. Just had to try when we saw this on the way to Kaiser. Chibog is much better.

Yelp
What's the deal with this restaurant not allowing split card payments? Instead, they're putting the burden on customers over a slight increase in card transaction fees--when in reality, they've already jacked up the prices on their food. Definitely not coming back here. Pls allow 2 cards split payment just like all restaurants in America

Yelp
This place in So San Francisco is right next to Max Restaurant, a Filipino Restaurant. However, don't be deceived by the look on the outside. The food they serve is good. This place only serves Filipino food and all of the items on their menu are classic Filipino food. We came for dinner and we were seated right away. We ordered the binational, Kare Kare, and Lechon Kawali. The binagoonan is made of eggplant, onions, fried pork belly, and bagoong. It's not that salty and the belly is crispy. The eggplant is soft and the flavor of the bagoong made the menu delicious. The Kare Kare is made of peanuts, oxtails, and mixed vegetables. If you're Filipino, you know how the peanut is cooked with this menu. This is so delicious and the bagoong paste had a good taste with the Kare Kare Whenever I'm around So San Francisco, I always make it a point to have a meal at this place

Yelp
Food is delicious with good-sized portions. Great place for a family meal. We had a group of 16 and were served quickly and efficiently. Very low key home style ambiance in the restaurant. It's small, but I think most people tend to order to-go nowadays, so space is not a problem. We walked in with a group of 16 on a Sunday evening. Little to no wait times. Very accommodating and attentive. We had kare kare, paksiw bangus, sisig, sizzling bangus belly, tselogs, pinakbet, lumpia, calamari, lechon kawali, rice, buko, and calamansi juice. Everything was delicious. The sabaw of the paksiw was my favorite. Very flavorful and sour.

Yelp
Haven't ate here in a while and we've decided to come here for dinner. What a mistake. Servers didn't have the best attitude (they were just tossing the plates and menus at us). I understand people have their days, but the lack of customer service and common sense was uncalled for. Flavor was lacking. What a huge difference compared to the early years this spot opened. Won't be coming back, unfortunately. Don't waste your time. Make Filipino food at home.

Yelp
Love this place , my good friend brought me here and I will always make sure to find a way to stop in and indulge on the many tasty Filipino dishes that remind me so much of my grandfather when in South City. Right away you realize your in for a treat as all the dishes cascading the tables in this small but quaint restaurant overlooking the rolling hills of the west coast pacific O! For the complexity of our dishes our food was served promptly and courteous with a smile and I even received a free homemade "all purpose mang sauce" simply for complimenting how tasty it was .

Yelp
The food is good, but the service is terrible. I used to only go because my parents like the food, but the servers are consistently rude. They also charge an automatic 18% tip, regardless of party size--even if you're dining alone. This hidden charge isn't mentioned anywhere, so if you're not careful, you might end up tipping twice. It seems the automatic tip justifies their lousy attitude. One star. Never again.

Yelp
I ordered the beef nilaga with beef ribs and lechon kiwali. Both went well together. Soup was savory and beef ribs were tender.

Yelp
This place has been our go to Filipino food as far as quality meal but today we ordered pork sisig it tasted burned meat instead of grill or seared. The pancit was watery like it supposed to have a soup but it not. I mean this place used to be really good. I'm not sure what changed. Wait time on the order wasn't too bad, I really just wished the food was as good as before. This place is always packed and nice friendly staff and kept the restaurant clean for the most part.

Yelp
Growing up in Daly City eating different Filipino restaurants I 100% recommend this restaurant good food great prices and all day Silogs. Not like ISLA close to my work at SFO which we rely to eat for lunch now ended their all day Silogs. Probably targeted us Airport workers from coming there.

Yelp
I've been here so many times, and I'm finally writing a review. This is the only place that I know of that serves banana blossom. If you know other places that serves it, please let me know because it's one of my fave dishes here. I prefer the one without the coconut milk. But to be honest, I think this place is okay. It's great for takeouts when I'm lazy to cook Philippino food at home, but some dishes are salty af, such as the pork sinigang. It is too salty for my liking. Other than that, it's typical Philippino food. The portions are not bad, and if you dine in the service is actually not terrible. The employees are nice, I think. Not the best Philippino food but it definitely hits the spot for the cravings. Or like I said earlier, it's great for take-out.

Yelp
i would not have eaten here unless my parents convinced me to try it! From the outside , it looks run down! But when we walked in everyone inside was friendly and we made it in before the cutoff time of closing! I really wanted tastebuds down the street since i havent had that in forever but trying new places is better than coming back again to familiar places My dad ordered the crispy pata, deep fried pork which was perfect! not too oily or greasy! it comes with vinegar and this sweet all purpose sauce! my mom got the pancit, filipino noodles and i was in the mood for seafood sinigang which is tamarind soup with vegetables and either meat / seafood! The sinigang came in this big bowl filled with mussels, shrimp, squid, okra, string beans, radish, jalapeno, and tomatoes! My god! THIS was PERFECT!!! most filipinos make sinigang that is often times too sour and then add patis (fish sauce) but wow, for a filipino sit down and take out place! This definitely hit the spot! definitely reminiscent of grandma's cooking! I couldnt stop telling my parents how GOOD that was! and they were telling me for a hole in the wall place, and 3 entrees, you just cant beat the price and the portions! Hope to come back again soon! Very epic experience all around!

Yelp
Terrible service. They WILL add a 15% tip on top of your order without saying anything and expect you to go along with it. Walked in as a party of 3 and was seated right away with menus. The worker who sat us also took our order. They never once checked up on us after the food was brought to our table. That being said, I couldn't let the worker know we were missing an item until our check was brought to us. The check showed we were charged for the food item we ordered but never had. They did not apologize for the mistake, instead they said "ok" and walked back to the register. They even hand wrote and totaled a 15% tip underneath our grand total. We left our card with the worker when they went to fix the check & they when they came back, a 15% tip was already added and charged. There is nowhere on the menu nor was it clearly communicated that an automatic tip would have been added. We did not authorize the tip especially since we did not receive everything we ordered nor were we catered to. Sounds like poor business practices to me.

Yelp
This restaurant is okay. Very average, 3 stars because again, I support small businesses. food is 3/5 Service 1/5. Either you call or order to go its like pulling teeth to place an order. Unless you dont have other options, not a bad place for Filipino food.

Yelp
Haven't been here so gave it a try. Kaldereta, pancit, lechon were delicious. Good portions too. Reasonable priced. Thank you.

Yelp
I'll start off on a good note. The pandas ice cream was really good! But before that, the service was pretty bad. For starters, our woman server was rude, me and my boyfriend felt kind of outcasted as she side eyed us and was ready to take the menu away from us before we even finished ordering. Not once did she say thank you or anything pleasant. The food was a little bland but we did like the family size portions. Then the cherry on top was when we were ready to pay the check, they gave themselves 15% tip and didn't even give us a pen to change the tip Anyway, it was an okay time and perhaps the lady was in a bad mood even though I saw her laughing after serving us lol.
