That said, timing truly matters here. My strong recommendation is to visit early in the evening, before the dinner rush begins. When the crowd is manageable, the service is noticeably better and the overall dining experience feels far more relaxed. As the rush builds up, service quality does tend to drop, which can slightly dull the charm of the meal.
Food Highlights 🍽️
The mutton at Karim’s is an absolute must—hands down the best mutton I’ve ever had. The depth of flavour, tenderness of the meat, and richness of the gravy are simply unmatched. While chicken dishes are available, I would strongly suggest prioritising mutton over chicken, as this is where Karim’s truly excels.
The bread selection also deserves special praise. The naans and roomali rotis are excellent—soft, well-cooked, and surprisingly filling. Even a single piece pairs beautifully with the gravies and can easily satisfy your hunger without over-ordering.
What Makes It Special
An interesting aspect of Karim’s is its central kitchen, from which food is served across multiple nearby seating spaces and hotels. Despite this unique setup, the quality remains consistent, which speaks volumes about their process and legacy.
While kebabs are popular, in my opinion, the bone-in dishes—especially mutton—are the real stars. Meat cooked on the bone carries a depth of flavour that simply can’t be replicated, and Karim’s does it exceptionally well.
