Super clean and modern hotel. Very competent and warm and personal check in. Very well thought through use of space in hotel rooms. Excellent beds with comfortable doonas and pillows. Windows that open!!! for fresh air in addition to available aircon (very important to me). Superb breakfast buffet with tasty and healthy options throughout. Nice bar, good wine. Lovely terrace to sit outside and enjoy the fantastic view across the Danube to the Castle. 5 minutes to walk across bridge into town. 5 minutes to walk to “Bootshaus” for tasty meal by the Danube river. Hotel rents e-bikes as well, which makes it a great base for cycling tours as well as hiking - as well as for business. A true highlight in this lovely town.

Beautiful location! The hotel is amazing, with a lovely garden right on the banks of the Danube River, directly across from the castle. The rooms are spacious, and those with a view of the castle feel like a dream! Breakfast was delicious, offering a wide variety of sweet and savory options. The only small downside is that a minibar/fridge is not included by default—you need to request it in advance and pay an additional fee.

The location of KARLS Hotel is unbeatable—directly overlooking the stunning Sigmaringen Castle. The view alone makes it worth the stay. Our room was comfortable, and the lobby felt warm and inviting. When we booked, I hadn’t noticed that parking was included, so it's worth checking their website or confirming ahead of time. If you’re not heading out early in the morning, I highly recommend their breakfast. The selection was impressive, and the dining area was spacious and relaxing. We stayed here after visiting Hohenzollern Castle and on our way to Neuschwanstein Castle. It turned out to be an ideal halfway stop between the two, breaking up the drive perfectly. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates great views—especially if you love castles.

This hotel is only 4 years old, has plenty of natural light, wide doorways, clean, well located with great views and ample free parking for guests. One of only a few hotels that we have stayed in that actually had sufficient glasses, towels etc for the number of guests when using the sofa bed. The room had a large walk in shower, free refillable water, safe, plenty of lighting and view of the castle across the river. There is no fridge in the room but can be provided on request, the same with iron and board. There is no kettle or coffee facilities in the room but these can also be provided or you can make use of the facilities in the lobby area, however there was no hot water when I went to use them. Breakfast has a wide selection of cold meats and cheese, cereal, breads, rolls, pastries, fruit, eggs, bacon, yoghurts and local honey. There was no dining onsite after breakfast but there are several restaurants a short walk away. Staff are friendly and helpful offering to assist with bookings for restaurants or attractions.

Awesome hotel with a wonderful service. Facing the Sigmaringen Castle and by the river, hotel offer magnificent views and walking trails. On-site ample parking is free of charge for guests. Breakfast is exceptional; refined, elegant and wide selection of items. All staff without exception have been very helpful and friendly! The only remark would be about the beds that are quite soft. Highly recommended if you travel in the area.

This hotel deserves 10 stars. It's located right across from one of the most spectacular castles in Germany. There are rooms that face the castle, but more important, there is a beautiful terrace where you can have breakfast or drinks. The Danube flows directly by the hotel as well. Tip: Make sure to visit the terrace in the evening (e.g., for drinks) and enjoy the view when the castle is lit. A dream! We regretted staying only one night. The service is fantastic as well. Very friendly.

Nice hotel - but no 4-star. In a half-empty hotel, we were given probably the worst room on the 1st floor facing the lift on one side and the main road on the other. When we drew the reception’s attention to the fact that - as light sleepers - we asked for a quiet room, we were relocated to a much nicer and much quieter room on the 2nd floor. Apparently, our request did not reach the reception. The bathroom has no heating, and as the outside temperature dropped to zero, taking a shower wasn’t really comfortable. On the plus side, the Sunday breakfast/brunch was fantastic!!
