If you are one of those ppl that think a donut, 🍩 or any 🍪🎂 dessert, can be eloquently executed in any form including gluten-free and vegan, but may not have found the right place or home recipe... Then look no further! I have been craving a perfectly crafted GF donut for what seems like 100 years (ok maybe it's been 5 months) ... And VOILA! There it was! A little out of the way but so very very very very worth it! This being the one day that I only had the change in my pocket, the girl at the counter was so very sweet and patient to help me figure out exactly what I could buy with what little money I had on me. I signed up for their frequent buyer program and yes'em I had enough money to get me one of them chocolatey donuts of GLORY. So very Happy 🥰 I will be back again for my birthday cake 🎂, that may or may not be coming up soon ... Tiramisu cake you have your days numbered 😏

Oh my gosh I cannot say enough great things about Karma Baker and their amazing team! My husband and I are both vegan and I am celiac so I have to be gluten free, and of course Karma does all of that and still makes an absolutely delicious cake! They made our wedding cake (lemon cake, strawberry frosting and Bavarian cream filling) it was an instant hit! We know that many of our guests will now be new customers of karma baker and I will definitely be a life long customer! Thank you for making our big day amazing!

Google
I have been here twice already. Loved the fruit tarts, we r not vegan, the coffee cake the bomb, I'm yet to try everything else lol. The first time I went the lady at the front was not very helpful, she couldn't give me details about the cakes. The second time I was there, one of the bakers was very helpful I really loved her, and of course as I mentioned before the fruit tarts were a hit.

I ordered 6 cupcake jars in 5 different flavors, chocolate karma, carrot, red velvet, vanilla, and peanut butter and chocolate. They were very tasty. The down sides, they are a tad bit sugary and prices are not the most affordable. It was 48$ meaning 8$ per jar. Then, I paid 20$ in shipping. The last thing is that although they're supposed to be stored in the fridge, the the frosting tastes better at room temp because straight out the fridge it is very stiff. It is best to leave them out in room temperature before eating them.

Finally got around to checking this place out! Glad I did, as I har been following them for a while on Instagram. I bought a bunch of different choices: fauxstess chocolate cupcake, some oatmeal cookies, a pair of chocolate sandwich cookies, etc. Just had the faux dingdong, and YUM!!! Everyone was cool, wearing maaks, and patiently waiting outside, which was reassuring. Props to the sales staff (cool purple hair), who was knowledgeable about their products and a real sweetheart. Looking forward to stock up in the near future!

If you want vegan desserts, add this to your go-to places! It's delicious! I went with my husband and three kids and we enjoyed our donuts on the shaded tables out front. It was very peaceful and the food was so tasty! We also ordered a oatmeal chai cookie that was SO good. And we took home the strawberry cheesecake. I'll definitely return for more tasty sweets for the whole family!

Google
Fantastic bakery! All vegan and gluten-free and SO many options! Staff was super friendly and helpful over the phone and in-person. We've had their cookie sandwiches, brownies, cake pops, cupcakes, donuts, and everything has been delicious and fresh. We got the snickerzz cake for my birthday and it was ridiculously decadent. I'm definitely getting my birthday cakes from here every year from now on. Highly recommended!

Google
This is quite possibly the absolute best vegan bakery I've ever found. The cakes are moist with a delicate crumb and amazingly rich thick frosting, all with an explosion of flavor. My freezer is stocked with Celine's creations and I can't wait to share them with guests for our events! It's such a shame they closed. They will be missed.

Yelp
I had the MOST delicious chocolate cake for my birthday. It was exactly what I envisioned: a three layer rich chocolate cake with fudge. Every bite was delicious. Please support this delicious vegan business that is closing at the end of the month. The bakery is in a large shopping center in Westlake Village with plenty of free parking. The staff is super friendly and the website if very easy to navigate to place an online cake order. I was very happy with my vegan cake!

Erik A.

Yelp
Sad to see that this place is closing its doors at the end of the month. I was lucky to have enjoyed many treats from this establishment. You'll be missed Karma!

Jara S.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots for gluten free and vegan pastries. Prices may be a little off putting to some but with eggflation and overall challenge of not making a gluten free pastry taste like sand, I'll take it -- occasionally. First found out about them in a coffee shop in WLV and have been a fan since. Love that the pastries are cooled and fresh. Never had an issue with customer service. The seasonal picks are cute too ranging from edible glitter confetti moment (we all know I got that) to pumpkin smash goodies during Halloween. Also appreciate that it's not overly sweet and always moist (hehe that word) Have to give it a try when you're in this side of WLV.

Yelp
Karma Bakery is the absolute best. Our all time favorite. Locally woman owned and amazing. Love how everything is vegan and gluten free. Allergens are clearly marked ensuring those with peanut, soy, etc allergies remain safe. We especially love their Karma chocolate cupcakes and the super huge chocolate chip cookies. We adore their holiday themed year round sweets from Fall to Winter, Spring to Summer. Recently picked up a pumpkin spice chai frosted vanilla cake with the most cutest ginger bread people on top and a deep pumpkin pie with pumpkin decors. Much love and appreciation to Karma and team, for always bringing us tremendous joy with your conscious and delicious thoughtful locally baked goods.

Yelp
PLEASE NOTE: This review is for ordering online and having shipped to your home. So far I've tried a sampler box: it came with one pink cake pop, one large peanut butter and chocolate brownie, a donut, a cake in a jar, one jumbo oatmeal chai sandwich cookie, and one jumbo chocolate chip sandwich cookie. Everything was okay. The brownie wasn't fudgy or peanut butter-y enough for us and the cake pop was a little hard. On the flipside, the chocolate chippwich cookie?! One of the best baked goods - vegan or other - we've had in a very, very long time. From the website: "two super-soft gluten-free chocolate chip cookies frame a thick layer of vegan chocolate crème. Savory and delectable, even your non-vegan friends will be begging you to share." The only thing I don't agree with about the description is the savory bit, but I will say - in the best way possible - it wasn't as sweet as you might think it would be. And paired with a cup of coffee or tea? YUM. Such rich flavors and great textures! If you need to bring a dessert to a party, buy these. They're individually wrapped and they're good for one month in the fridge (or three in the freezer). A box of six is currently $45. Notes: 1) This is one of the few places online that ship a vegan gingerbread house kits during the holidays! 2) They've got loads of fun, specialized goodies for many different celebrations: Valentine's, St Patrick's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Pride, Father's Day, Thanksgiving, Halloween, and of course Christmas. Order early! Finally, I'd love to try the tiramisu cream cake sometime (I haven't had tiramisu in ages; nowhere near me makes a vegan version). It's around $100 with a nearly $50 shipping fee (and an additional encouraged $25 charge for insurance), so it would certainly be a splurge or special occasion!

Yelp
My husband came upon this shop, and knowing that I am dairy free, brought me home the oatmeal chai cookie sandwich. When I heard it was from a vegan gluten free bakery, I honestly did not have high hopes. My grandmother was a professional cake baker so I can be a bit of a snob with baked goods. Saying that this cookie impressed me is an understatement, it was DELICIOUS. Then the following week he brought me the strawberry eclair cupcake (strawberry cake is my absolute favorite) and I once again was very, very impressed. I've definitely found my new bakery spot and know where I'll be getting my birthday cake from this year

Quinn V.

Yelp
Huge selection of gf vegan stuff. Delicious desserts and some savory options, too. Good service. They know their stuff. Clean store. I drive from LA and stock up as many of their items can be frozen

Emily A.

Yelp
I love this place so much. Vegan and gluten free so hard to find their cupcakes are so delicious you will be dreaming abt having them for days after you eat them. The ones w the frosting in the middle are absolutely absurd I mean just SO good!

Yelp
I purchased a cake from this bakery and the cake is being delivered a week early. I have emails and the companies excuse is they are a small business and have only a few workers. The problem is someone who took the order made a mistake and now my special needs party is getting a frozen cake a week early. I'm so disappointed that this is their solution to the problem they created. The final statement was too bad your getting the cake stop complaining and be happy with a week early cake....I'm beyond shocked because I supported this business for many years. They are disorganized and the employees do not communicate at all with what the delivery part of the business is doing...im giving advice do not make customers suffer and feel terrible for your MISTAKE!!!!losing my business and telling others was more important than fixing the problem and owing up to YOUR mistake. I am responding to the team from karma Bakery I paid for a cake to be delivered on September 22....so other customers need to know your limited in taking care of mistakes that are easily handled if you so desire as a small or large business to correct your mistake I am in possession of the original email. I'm not trying to be difficult but I paid for that date and your not taking responsibility your trying to guilt me into doing what makes your business less responsible...maybe I'm the problem but how you need a team to manage mishaps for your business. I work with numerous clients and-companies. So I further understand how you are stating publicly this is how you handle business....I WAS a client for several years with this bakery...on my sons birthday with over 60 guests I will make sure and note what do they think about the cake......delivered a week early...omg!!!!!!!

Natalie S.

Yelp
Be sure to try the chocolate cake/brownie with caramel sauce. It's heavenly. And, you can't tell that it's gluten free and vegan and KOSHER. It's tucked in the corner of a strip mall in Oak Park.

Jen D.

Yelp
Thankful for these cake cups as now I can have different flavours without ordering a whole piece!! This is my second order and cakes are always delicious and moist!! The brownies are the best!! I was going to order a cake for my 25th wedding anniversary but completely forgot while in vacay and missed out on my preferred delivery date so lesson learned, order it ahead of time!! Packaging is just perfect! You get your products fresh as it is packed in an insulated pouch with ice packs. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!

Yelp
Outstanding gluten free, vegan pastry, donuts, cakes, hand pies. The banana cream pie was honestly one of the best desserts I have ever had. The flavors and texture were just amazing. I had to check the ingredients multiple times for my specific allergens and kept being pleasantly blown away by how delicious this is. The chocolate donut was covered in this absolutely wonderful chocolate icing. So decadent. Prices were a little higher than expected. However not high enough to keep me from coming back 3 days later for two more pieces of the banana cream pie to share with my husband.

Julia C.

Yelp
I absolutely love Karma Baker! Everything here is 100% plant based and delicious. The store front is tiny, clean, and organized. The cashiers are helpful and nice. They also sell items like sprinkles, flour, cookies from other name brands, and take home & bake scones. I really love how they have seasonal items and decorate their desserts so nicely. Some of my favorite items are the strawberry crumble cupcake, the m&m cookie, and the vanilla donut. Highly recommend for anyone in the area to go try it out.

Jaqueline S.

Yelp
I've never seen customer service this great in a long time! The Karma Baker team are top notch and their vegan choice are soooo yum!! Integrity is what this business is all about, helping people and the environment! Other businesses need to take a page out of their customer service page. Great people and great experience! I won't go anywhere else for vegan or gluten free baked items!

Yelp
THESE PRICES ARE BAD KARMA!!!! I wanted to surprise my hubby with some yummy vegan treats from a new place. We've seen Karma Baker brownies at Besties grocery in LA so I looked them up and decided to make a 40 mins trip to try something new. Well, it's usually a sign when you walk into the bakery and the person behind the register (located directly in front of the door) does not even look up and acknowledge anyone that walks in. Not a good start! Next, it's usually not a good sign when there are no prices listed for the items. Maybe there was a handout or something but the lack of customer service did not foster an inviting atmosphere to even ask a question. So we decided on a few items to try, and OMG!!! Why are the little tarts $11?!? And the cookies are $5.50 each?!? I know inflation is a thing but come on!!! How are we to encourage people to become vegan when everything is so overpriced? Yikes! Summary... Pros: - good taste - vegan and some things gluten free Cons: - customer service is lacking - prices are almost offensive - limited supply in-store; if you want something specifically seen on their IG or website, have to pre-order I'm sad to give 2 stars but those are only for the taste. Customer service goes a long way. You have a huge chime or bell hanging on the door whenever it is opened, so everyone can hear and see when a customer walks in. It takes seconds to say "Hi, welcome! Let me know if you have any questions." We were new customers but likely will not return. There are other vegan places that are more welcoming.

Ryan S.

Yelp
My family and myself have various food allergies and preferences. Karma can accommodate any persons needs. My wife and I have been loyal clients since before they were a storefront, selling at the rabbit hole. The food is second to none! Every time I go to see my family, I bring Karma! Delish.

Claudia B.

Yelp
I recently ordered a birthday cake from Karma because several party guests have food issues. One needed gluten free. Another needed dairy free, and a third was just simply a vegan. I wanted everyone to have some birthday cake, and this place would allow that to happen. I'm just going to say it... this kind of baking is just NOT my cup 'o tea. AT ALL. I appreciate that it is there for those who "need" to be careful of the kind of food they ingest, and for THEM, this bakery is a Godsend. However, for me, while I taste-tested several of their items, I just can't get behind any of it. Don't get me wrong, they baked a BEAUTIFUL chocolate and vanilla marble cake for my husband, and flavor wise, I was actually impressed with the chocolate and caramel flavors, but the TEXTURE and consistency were just very difficult for me to get past. The cake was very thick, heavy, and almost wet, more like unhardened cement. I'm not trying to be dramatic. It really was very heavy and way too moist. The vanilla icing was also horribly grainy. I took one bite, and I was done. Those who needed this kind of cake were grateful, and they loved it. For that reason, I'm very happy, and I sent the leftovers home with them. To be honest, though, my biggest gripe was that I couldn't order the kind of cake my husband really wanted. Karma considers their cookies and cream cake a "seasonal" item, and they wouldn't bake me one because it's not summer yet, and they didn't have the ingredients for it. Whaaaaatttt? (This was for Memorial Day weekend... isn't that considered the kickoff of summertime? And what weird ingredients couldn't they get year round for a cookies and cream cake?) But get this.... their strawberry cream cake is available year-round. Could somebody please explain how strawberries are NOT a summer fruit? And how come they baked cookies and cream CUPCAKES, which were available for purchase, but no cookies and cream cakes? I'm so confused. Bottom line is that they are a specialty bakery for people with unique dietary restrictions, and I think they do a great job if people are willing to adjust their taste and texture buds.

Vivian V.

Yelp
OMG!!!! I would give 10 stars if I could - everything is beyond fantastic - it's a bonus that the items are VEGAN & GF - people won't believe it! The jumbo oatmeal chai sandwich cookies are my fave but really everything is so good you won't be able to stop. I always get the Karma Box -a sampler box that way you can to try everything. The brownies, chocolate chip cookies and donuts are killer!

Rack City C.

Yelp
I have to write my truest feelings about my once favorite place of all time in hopes the owners will consider adjusting things. GOOD Gluten dairy free food is hard to find, we all know that. Usually us gf df people settle on making our own desserts or meals or baked goods because the store bought stuff just isn't that great. But then karma came to our town and our limited dietary sweet life as we knew it was changed forever! The gf df brownies! Are u kidding me? BEST thing you'll ever eat. The cinnamon chocolate chip cookie!? YES PLEASE! My kids love the donuts, the fruit tarts are dreamy, the bread is SO good when you toast it up. So yes- greatness is everywhere. My review has to address the vanilla confetti cake though :( Celebrated my daughters 7th birthday with all of our family: among us were our usual crowd w/celiacs, gf intolerance, thyroid problems, IBS, artificial food dye aversions, dairy allergies, severe anaphylactic nut allergies - we are a wild bunch- but I've always thought I could count on karma to be there for us. I knew I was running the risk with confetti cake cause the artificial food dye in the sprinkles, but I thought it would be minimal. I also knew the rapeseed oil in the cake was risky because we never usually consume that toxic stuff. But was tipped me over the edge after a few bites in, was the sugar levels‍ I'm feeling pretty certain the cake could've had 1/2 the sugar and still been just as tasty. Our whole group was commenting on the overly sweet flavor sadly. Then an hour or so after we kind of enjoyed the birthday cake, my kids, the cousins, the adults, all just dropping like flies. One emotional basket case after another, one belly ache after another. It was so crazy. This was the second time I've ordered this cake (a couple years apart) and I just feel the recipe may have changed. So to the Karma owners (who I truly feel can be the gf df nut free angels of the world if they wanted to)--Rapeseed oil is BAD! Palm oil messes with the gut! Cut the sugar WAAAAY down. The frosting is so waxy and strange. And maybe consider another fun colorful option free from artificial food dye ! Until then, you know I'll be back for brownies

Lisa Z.

Yelp
My family loves Karma Bakery! We are not all Vegan or gluten free but started to get cakes to celebrate birthdays for everyone to enjoy. This is where we now get all of our desserts for parties because they are all delicious. We love the cheesecake, fruit tart, the brownies (the my personal favorite) banana cream, and the mango cream cake. The shortbread cookies are my current favorite and have gone back each week to get some. We are so excited to try the holiday treats with in these next couple of months. Not only are the desserts delicious but the staff is really nice and friendly. No matter if I order by phone or go in person they are always so nice and helpful. They are also super patient with me because I can never decide what to get or someone else always catches my eye. We love it here.

Nikki T.

Yelp
I LOVE THIS PLACE Donuts, seasonal treats, pizza rolls... everything gluten free and vegan and SO YUMMY! Like... how are these vegan and gluten free? Are you SURE?! The best

Sharalyn D.

Yelp
I was in Topanga for a wedding and found this little gem a bit up the street.. and oh, I wish I lived closer. The donuts, vanilla crumb & chocolate sprinkle, literally made my soul sing (especially since it is impossibly hard to find gf donuts that don't taste like poorly crafted vanilla cake poured into a mold). The brownie was gooey and moist. My bf said the cookies were grainy but I LOVE crunchy, grainy cookies so I was again, in HEAVEN. They had cake pops, sugar cookies, and so many other goodies. Not a fan of cake so didn't partake in any but the cheesecake looked incredible. The employees at small bakeries can often be uninvitingly cold but the girl who helped us out was so sweet and attentive, even when the shop was busy which made the experience that much more enjoyable. Not sure when I'll be back since it's rather far from home, but I will most definitely be back here someday to try some more goodies! (Sadly, didn't get any pics beyond the cake pop because I was too busy enjoying all the tasty treats!)

Maria R.

Yelp
The person in the counter was so cold, flat affect and not friendly. She coldly replied they were sold out of bread and didn't bother to help. They have limited offerings. At 3 pm , they were sold out of bread and other savory things they have in their menu. I am extremely disappointed!

Em P.

Yelp
Karma is by to Lamp Post pizza and Pavillions. I saw the website and thought I had to try. Emails give you perks if you sign up. My mom is not a vegan and was surprised/amazed by the fruit tart when someone brought it to a neighborhood party the night before and wanted to come with me on my birthday to get treats on 11/12. As it's November, we considered pumpkin pie but I saw a Banana Pudding and Red Velvet cupcakes and snagged them. There is a freezer and fresh items available but I recommend calling ahead to see what's in stock. The banana pudding was odd, but I couldn't stop eating it. The red velvet frosting on the cupcakes was particularly good. The fruit tart is the best thing I've tried out of all of them. The donuts looked so good! I will try next time! The ladies at the front were super helpful and patient and I got a free sticker. Yay. I really like that Karma is vegan/gf. I will always support a business that is helping the planet environmentally, saving animals and is inclusive of people of many walks of life. Thanks for making my birthday great!

Lance L.

Yelp
When you think of delicious baked goods, the obvious answer to satisfying that sweet tooth of yours is often a guilty pleasure of sugar mixed with flour, whisked with eggs, milk, and often topped with even more sugar. But what if I told you that everything served at Karma Baker is made with nothing but the best "letters" in the health industry. You know... Your V's. Your GF's. Your K's & U's and even your O's. For those scratching your head and still wondering what on earth e=mc2 actually equals and what all these letters have to do with anything, let me give you the breakdown. V= Vegan GF= Gluten Free K and/or U (enclosed in a circle)= Kosher O= 100% Organic And No... e=mc2 doesn't mean 2 egg Mc muffins at McDonald's although...I wish it did! Haha So sure I'm the farthest thing from a Vegan... and Gluten is actually my bestie...and the only Kosher I wanna work with is either Kosher Salt or Kosher Dill's, otherwise things just ain't kosher. ;) But in all seriousness... When your co-worker brings in dessert to share with the rest of the team, who in their right mind is going to question their motives or even care where that magical box of donuts came from. To my surprise, despite that these donuts were all V, GF, Kosher and Organic, They were actually all REALLY tasty and not too different than normal tasting donuts. For those with various dietary restrictions or constraints, Karma Baker is your local bakery giving you your restricted foodie freedom back. From cakes, cupcakes, brownies, cake pops and muffins to donuts, pastries, cheesecakes & fresh baked breads, this place will literally make your restricted savory & sweets tooth smile. Remember... At the end of the day, a treat is a treat and sweet will always be a sweet, so why not be a little healthier when stuffing your face with some fresh Karma Baker Goodies!

Cindy D.

Yelp
Ordered a strawberry birthday cake online.. my first time ordering from Karma .. it was delicious and not overly sweet .. I will be ordering from them again!

Julie H.

Yelp
Holy deliciousness! My grandchild requested a red velvet cake for their college graduation party, and even though I'm a good home baker, I was dubious about attempting a gluten free cake, particularly since every gf baked good I've ever tasted has been unpleasant, odd, and distinctly untasty. I found the bougiest looking bakery possible, ordered the cake, and crossed my fingers (and made a batch of safety net cookies and two kinds of fudge). WELL. First of all, the cake was GORGEOUS. Last of all, the cake was scrumptious. Tender crumb, perfect texture, moist, and just YUMMY. Worth every penny. Highly recommend.

Mona A.

Yelp
I have been gluten free and mostly dairy free for a few months now. So I have been trying so many of these cool Food Places that can cater to my new diet restrictions. I have been wanting to try Karma Baker for a while now, I have seen their products at local coffee shops in the area & even the Erewhon in Calabasas. I was in the mood for a donut so I tried to give this place a try. I got a chocolate Donut with chocolate frosting and sprinkles, the texture was very interesting. This doesn't taste like a normal donut, even a gluten free one. I tried another gluten free donut and it was much softer. This donut felt like they took a brownie batter and poured it into a donut mold and then covered it in chocolate sauce. If you are looking for a Krispy Kreme alternative, try Fonuts. If you like something sweet and yummy, this place is very delicious. The donut was so rich and creamy. Location: in a low key shopping center with loads of stores and parking. Aesthetics: the store is fairly small and cozy, it's a great place to pick up something. They don't have a good coffee selection unfortunately. Everything in the store is gluten-free & vegan, I love that.

L G.

Yelp
Omg!! That pecan pie was out of this world amazing! Best. Pecan Pie. Ever! I've ordered birthday cakes from here too and everyone always loves them! Can't wait for next time!!!

Jennifer J.

Yelp
Love this place. I tell all my clients about it. I love sending my kids and grandkids goodies from here. Plus everything is almost too beautiful to eat!

Phoebe A.

Yelp
I ADORE Karma bakery! I grew up in the area, but have moved out of state and every time I home, I make sure to come here! The staff is always so kind and the baked goods are BEYOND amazing! My favorites are the Karma cookies and the lemon cream pie.

Rebecca W.

Yelp
From San Diego and placed order via phone for a corporate event and requested to see logo placement on cookie twice prior to making cookies. No one showed me a mock-up and was sorely disappointed with end product. Will not be placing any future orders here. Custom orders beware - physically go onto the shop and ask them how it will appear because it's obvious messages don't get communicated.

Galit A.

Yelp
It was my first time buying a cake, Adrianna who helped me went above and beyond to help me, she gave me a courtesy discount and upgraded my cake with fresh fruit. Wonderful experience wonderful cake will be coming back.

Taylor B.

Yelp
Great service and selection. I had to find a vegan birthday cake last minute. Karma bakery helped me pull this off. Beautiful delicious cake.

Mary L.

Yelp
I really want to like Karma but everything is dry, dense, and horribly overpriced. Do not understand the hype. Donuts taste like chalk.

E D.

Yelp
BOMB! My bf who isn't vegan or restricted to a gluten free diet loved the pizza pocket and macaroons. I loved everything about it. Nice customer service, tasty treats.

Virginia B.

Yelp
I do not usually order baked goods online because I live in Honolulu. But after seeing the lovely baked goods at The Karma Baker, I decided to give it a try and I am glad I did. I was able to pick the date I wanted to receive my yummy Christmas sampler box of treats. They arrived right on time and I was able to enjoy them with my family. I have celiac disease and the rest of my family does not. I have complained that I cannot find good baked desserts, but no longer will I complain. I will just order my yummies from The Karma Baker. Thank you for accommodating me from baking treats for people who have celiac disease to shipping them at my convenience. I hope I get to visit your store sometime soon.

Kirit S.

Yelp
There were so many offerings to choose from, and I was really happy about that. Their prices are reasonable, and the goodies taste like they should (no special vegan flavor). The ordinary person wouldn't be able to tell that it was vegan, or different in any manner. The lady at the counter was really helpful. I asked for a dozen cupcakes of various flavors, and she gave me some of all the various combinations they have. Really happy about her thoroughness!

Ahna L.

Yelp
I could not believe my eyes that there was a place where I could eat everything at. Being gluten-free and having celiac is hard. Not being able to eat sweets in a lot of places is not fair and is hard. Coming inside I felt like a kid in a candy store. I got a few things and froze some for later. I am glad that they partner with Lassens in Simi and I can get treats there too. They are on the more pricy side but if you buy gluten-free already then you know that. I can't wait to go get another donut they are so fun and good. My mouth is just waiting thinking about them.

Yelp
I ordered a strawberry lemonade cake and ciabatta rolls online. Pickup was a breeze and the ladies working in the shop were super friendly and helpful. The cake was delicious and I was really impressed by the ciabatta rolls. These were freshly baked and so soft and tasty. I will definitely be back for more of these! People should understand that gluten free and vegan baking is tricky, and Karma Baker does a great job of making tasty treats for people with special diets. They will not have the exact same flavor and mouthfeel as something with gluten.

Yelp
I called to order a birthday cake three days before I needed it and they said they would be able to do it. I ordered a confetti cake. I sent my husband to pick it up and when he came back I realized it was the wrong cake. He knew it was supposed to be a confetti cake but had no idea what it was supposed to look like so didn't realize it was the wrong cake. We were given a cookies and cream cake. it wasn't that they gave us someone else's cake or something though, they had made us the wrong flavor, because it had the inscription I wanted on it (even though the name was spelled wrong). My husband called them to let them know it was wrong and we only realized when he got home. The girl on the phone acknowledged that it was the wrong flavor and she has no idea how that happened, and she saw the order was for confetti cake not cookies and cream. My husband asked if they could get us the right cake and she said they would not be able to. So he asked for a refund because we spent $90 (we prepaid before they even made it) on a cake that was wrong. The girl on the phone told him that she thought that they would do a refund if we brought the cake back. It would have been over a two hour round trip drive for us to return it! Not to mention we wouldn't have a cake at all then for the birthday party we had that same day. and we could not just go pick up any other cake because of the dietary restrictions of the birthday girl. My husband asked again for a refund and was told the manager would call him back. We never received a call and this was 3 days ago now. Mind you, my husband was super polite and respectful while requesting the refund. Terrible customer service, they obviously don't care about making customers happy. Especially after spending $90 on a CAKE... they should have smoothed it out somehow. Even a partial refund would have sufficed. Very disappointed which sucks because i was so excited to find an allergen free bakery.

Yelp
My college friends surprised me by sending me this box of goodies! I've only tried the donut and the walnut brownie so far but WOW . I really can't tell that these desserts are gluten and dairy free! They're so moist and chocolatey and soft and delicious. Also, great shipping strategy- they come in this metallic bubble wrap with an ice pack so they taste and feel totally fresh even though I live all the way in Utah! And I loved the gift box and ribbon on the outside and the confetti on the inside- my daughter is still playing with it. :) Thank you for brightening my day!

Yelp
Screwed up our order and quite rude about the whole experience. Disorganized and unprofessional.

Yelp
We love the goodies here, but customer service doesn't exist anymore. Only reason for removing one star. A very unhappy girl has been working there lately April 2023. Three times now she has been rude. Bummer for Karma Bakery.

Yelp
I'm allergic to gluten so was very interested to find this place. Before ordering a cake, I decided to try the cupcakes. I got the Karma cake, pink lemonade, Snickerzzz, birthday cake, and red velvet. Pro: Good texture for both frosting and cake - no graininess, didn't fall apart, frosting was smooth. Con: virtually no flavor differences - the chocolate tasted like the strawberry tasted like the lemonade tasted like the peanut butter tasted like the vanilla. The sugar overpowers any flavor, plus there is so little flavor to begin with - they are halfway down the ingredient lists! They were good, just no differentiable flavors.

Yelp
Raced my ass over here to get a last minute cake earlier this month, only to have the door shut on me exactly a minute after closing. Begged the girl through the glass window to let me in. Okay, fine, I can respect the hours and I shouldn't expect every establishment to go out of there way for customers. Anyway, I had a friend return the next day for me, bought the cake they had pre made. I then gave it to our vegan friend for his birthday. We had the worst s***s the next day. Wasn't worth the effort/trip at all. Hard pass next time around.

Yelp
I tried to find some information over the phone to order cupcakes and pop cakes for my son's birthday party and customer service was horrible. I tried calling 3 times and the person on the phones doesn't know information about flavors nor price. I asked how much was the dozen as the website had a 20 something price she told me 12. I said " are you sure $12 for the dozen the website says different" she kept rudely telling me the website is not updated and I was like ok so to reserve 3 dozens will be $36? She again was very rude and said no it's 30 something a dozen.... I said you just told me over 3 times it was 12?.... She replied "no I said there's 12 in a dozen?‍ then in an annoyed voice put me on hold and hung up. I never even tried their cupcakes just wanted to have something healthier for my son's birthday but based solely on the over the phone treatment I received I will not be going to this place nor will I recommend it to anyone!

Yelp
The baked goods from this place are divine. The gingerbread cake they have every holiday season is our go-to and everyone devours it.

Yelp
Cake was good.. but their ordering system is not good at all I ordered a 90$ cake when I showed up it was a tiny smash cake size they did not have my order when they asked for my name on the order they gave me the wrong size and they did give me two small cakes which I did not believe added up to the 90$ I paid for the cake kind of upsetting
