Karma Kafe

We have been ordering the Goat Bhuna religiously every other week since we discovered it back in April. When we first started ordering, the price was $20, then in November the price went up to $21 and then today it was increased to $22, we still continued to order because we genuinely love the dish. Most of the time the Goat Bhuna is perfect, though occasionally it does come slightly overcooked — but even then, it’s still one of our favorites. However, today’s order is the reason I’m writing this review. We ordered the same Goat Bhuna for dinner, and unfortunately, half of the container was filled with just bones, as shown in the picture. For the price and our consistent loyalty, this was disappointing. Whoever is in charge of management, please address this issue before you begin to lose loyal customers. Maybe the chef dumped all the bones to our order? and we truly hope this was just an isolated incident because we would love to continue supporting this restaurant.

This is a Hoboken staple that is not to be missed. Quality and consistent with very good service. We dine in at least once a month and their take out business is strong. Sonny treats us with respect and kindness. We are grateful.

Amazing food. Large quantities, awesome taste and fast service we tried chicken platter and samosas for appetizers, salmon tandoori and chicken tandoori for entrees and custard apple ice cream for dessert - all were very good.

Julio at Karma Kafe in Hoboken was phenomenal. From the moment we sat down, his energy, professionalism, and genuine warmth elevated the entire experience. He was attentive without hovering, knowledgeable about the menu, and made excellent recommendations that were spot-on. What really stood out was his attitude—positive, welcoming, and clearly someone who takes pride in providing great service. He made us feel taken care of and relaxed, which is exactly what you want when you’re out to enjoy a meal. Julio is the kind of server who turns a good night out into a great one. Huge shoutout to him and the Karma Kafe team—will absolutely be back and hope to be seated in his section again.

They served us a beer that expired eight months ago!!! I noticed that other customers have also mentioned this issue in their reviews. The staff seems to be aware of it and is intentionally selling expired products, which is absolutely unacceptable! Aside from the beer issue, my overall experience was fine. The staff was very friendly, calm, and accommodating. They were helpful in assisting us with our food choices and answered all our questions. The food was average; some items were better than others, while a few were not as flavorful as I had expected. Portions are quite big and probably ordering one plate for two is more reasonable. Tip was included in the check.

The paneer makhani with garlic naan is my favorite meal of all time! This restaurant is amazing, and I highly recommend to anyone living in or traveling to Hoboken. I have searched high and low for the best paneer dish, and found it right here in Hoboken!

This casual spot gets packed for dinner during the week and especially on the weekends. It's great for dine in or take out. My favorite is the chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. The chicken is tender and the naan is fluffy. Best spot for Indian food in Hoboken!

After hearing great reviews from friends, we decided to order from Karma Café through Uber Eats, excited to try out their vegetarian dishes. We ordered Aloo Bhindi, Samosa Chaat, Gobhi Aloo, and Kadhi Chawal. The Samosa Chaat lived up to the hype--it was crispy, tangy, and packed with flavor, arriving fresh and in good condition. The Kadhi Chawal was just okay. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal didn't quite meet our expectations. The biggest disappointment was the 'Aloo Bhindi' and 'Gobhi Aloo' which were drenched in oil. The excessive oiliness made the dishes feel heavy and difficult to enjoy, turning what should have been wholesome vegetarian food into something that felt unhealthy. On the plus side, the meal came with a portion of rice and dal, which helped balance things out a bit, though it couldn't fully compensate for the overly greasy dishes. While the Uber Eats delivery was smooth and I time, the food left us feeling underwhelmed. We had high hopes based on recommendations. We hope Karma Café can improve the quality by making their dishes less oily and healthier in the future.

Ordered via Grubhub. Did a scheduled pickup for 9:30, food arrived closer to 10:00. Gingery Chicken Soup was so good! It was very creamy and there were a lot of chicken in there. (Fave) The palak paneer, butter chicken, and naan were okay. Naan was pretty thick and fluffy. Really good garlic flavor! The veggie pakora was a little salty (but I like that so perfect for me).

I've been a regular at Karma Kafe for a while now but haven't had many chances to visit in person. The garlic naan came out sizzling and crunchy with a soft center, I was blown away by how good it was. My favorite is the palak paneer as it never disappoints. Most paneer I have lately at other places is super squeaky which I'm not a fan of, but here the texture is perfect. The service was great and they checked on us regularly, also recommending samosas which were tasty. I did prefer the veggie samosa to the chicken, though. We tried the goat curry as well and loved it as it had a good kick with flavor. Solid spot and lively as this place was packed!

Hands down, one of the best spots in Hoboken for Indian cuisine. I'm definitely a loyal repeat customer! Looking forward to my next visit and/or UberEats order from here!

Top quality, big portions, and great cocktails, Karma Kafe has never disappointed over the last ~15 years I've been a patron along with my group of college friends. A meal here is well worth the commute/parking stress, because it truly is the best Indian restaurant in the area! The samosas, chicken tikka masala, cheese naan, and Mango mojito have all been our favorites for years and we can't imagine going anywhere else for our catch-up sessions. Thank you to the crew at Karma Kafe for always providing a great experience!

I went for a late dinner with my husband. It was one the few places still open. And still was packed, which is always a good sign, so we decided to try it out. The place is small but fits a lot of people, the decor is really nice. The menu is extensive and the prices are very reasonable for the amount of food. The staff is very efficient. When we sat down, we ordered our drinks, a mango lassi and a soda, the mango lassi was so good, it tasted like a creamy mango popsicle. We got garlic naan which was very buttery, soft and pillowy, so good! We ordered the kabab sampler with chicken and ground lamb, the flavors were exceptional, had this charred flavor, and the spices on point! The lamb biryani was so good, the rice was so fluffy it was a amazing, the lamb was very tender. If I had known the biryani was this delicious huge plate, that's all we would have ordered, we had to ask for a takeout box. We couldn't leave anything behind! I truly recommend this place.

I've been eating at Karma for about 20 years. Their food is by far some of the best in Hoboken. Their consistency to deliver authentic and more modern Indian dishes is amazing. I would normally give them 5 stars but I can't because their take out delivery service is ruining the ambiance when you are there. I can't blame them for raking it in but the servers don't even really take care of you because all the servers are worried about the take out service. Never mind the delivery people are crowding the bar area waiting for the deliveries. My partner and I were sitting in the seats to the right of the bar and it felt crowded with delivery drivers. It used to be so great to eat there with that wonderful food.

I loved the biryani here! Not your usual Indian biryani - this biryani was a mix of spicy flavors with goat, chicken, and seafood! I've never had all 3 in one dish. The fish fry was also very good - perfectly fried and flavorful with green masala without dehydrating or overpowering the delicate fish. Service was the good kind of unmemorable and ambiance was decent. My expectations for Indian food in the city are low but this beat it - especially with its unique twists on known dishes. I'd probably give this a 4.5 star rating.

Omg! We recently ordered from Karma Kafe twice in about a week. We have ordered before but I felt the food ahs gotten so much better. The tandoori chicken and tandoori pomfret were delicious. The flavors were absolutely fantastic. The biryani was good too (not like an Andhra biryani, but more Bombay style) Overall so fricking amazing and great great value!

Small Indian restaurant with typical offerings. We were the only ones there on a Sunday before noon. The staff was very accommodating and attentive. The papadum came on the table and I liked the sauces. The papadum was not crisp because it seems to sit out beforehand. The chicken malabar ($17) was in a rich, mild, bland sauce that needed more spices. The chicken was perfectly tender. The naan ($3.50) was excellent because it was thick and soft. The entree portion was massive and I couldn't finish. It came with a mound of rice and some veggies. Dad loved his chicken vindaloo ($17) which was very spicy. They even gave rice pudding complementary at the end. It was a good consistency and sweet but not too sweet. Felt more healthy in a good way than dessert. I would return but order something other than malabar.

Blown away by the ease we had regarding celiac/gluten-free accommodations and safety precautions with our order. Portion sizes are generous and go a long way regardless if eating solo or with others. All the food in our order was addictive -- super fresh and flavorful. Also, and most importantly), we got samosas and they're some of the BEST my sister or I have ever had. Will definitely be back!!!

Spent the day at Pier 13 and my friends and I wanted to get a filling, quick bite! We went to Karma Kafe which was only a 15 min walk away. We took outdoor seating, it is rather small inside with a casual ambiance. My two friends got mango lassi and they really enjoyed it! We were served pappad with a side of two chutneys. It was a nice snack while we ordered our main entrees. We ordered the paneer makhani with 2 sides of chili garlic naan. You can definitely share the portions with others - all three of us were so filled by our order! The paneer makhani came with a side of daal and jeeta rice, it was so tasty! I really enjoyed the slight sweetness in the paneer, it's so subtle but what an awesome touch! I'm also a huge fan of the chili garlic naan, I think this is the best I've ever had. Es h order of naan comes with two halves but just know it's a pretty big half!! Super filling and I really enjoyed coming here, the service was pretty fast and kind. Definitely coming back!

I was there on a first date yesterday, and I had the time of my life. Food. Service. Ambiance. Karma Kafe has it all. A relaxing vibe coupled with a dedicated staff of truly thoughtful and attentive individuals. The best place in town. Why do you think it's so crowded there at dinner time? Well...you'll have to find out for yourself! 10/10 would recommend, A+ in my heart!

I've been coming here regularly for a long time now and I think it's time to update my review. The food has been cosistently good, the prices are good, and the service has improved. This is the best Indian food in Hoboken and just very good restaurant overall.

My go to Indian place in Hoboken! Their portions are good and the flavors are amazing! I typically do lamb vindaloo which is verrrry spicy. Their naan is always fresh, sizeable to share. I also get their vegetable samosas. Each orders comes with two and each samosa is huge. I've also tried the chicken vindaloo which has a kick to it as well. Very much enjoyed it. Overall, a delicious place! Well worth a try if craving Indian.

They reduced their meat per dish amount significantly! You just buy rice if you get beryani! Not recommended at all!

The food was super flavorful. The staff was very friendly and quick. The ambience is great for a date with your significant other. It's better around 5 PM because it gets super crowded rightfully so!

Since Empyrean opened, I've been a little turned off by Karma. They do have great food but the mixed grill here and salmon here pale in comparison to Empyrean's. I will never order the salmon from here again. Tried it twice. They burn it and it's not a good kind of burn. It's like eating char on the skin side. It's a little dry and not the most flavorful. The mixed grill also has dry meats and my chicken had bone in it recently. Not worth it. Won't order it again. I also asked for no rice and both dishes arrived with lots of rice. Disappointed. If you want good and juicy, flavorful grilled mix and salmon Tikka, get Empyrean. They do have good fried fish here and chicken tikka at Karma. And their garlic naan is best here, by far. Definitely get the garlic naan!

I've been wanting to try Karma Kafe since pre-Covid when I saw they had a buffet for $14.99. Sadly, I never got around to it and the buffet is no more, due to Covid. But the dishes are good, and prices are very reasonable, especially for the portion size. We had enough leftovers for a second meal. My husband and I stopped in on a Wednesday at around 5:30. There was only one other table dining there at the time but the front table was already filled with takeout orders. Here is everything we ate: To start, they bring out a complimentary app, that is like a super thin cracker, along with a trio of sauces. I wish I asked what the sauces were - it seemed like some kind of mango salsa, a cilantro chutney, and a tomato (?) chutney. All three were great Paneer Kulcha - this reminds me of a naan stuffed with paneer and you really can't go wrong with anything that involves paneer Kabab Sampler (chicken tikka kabab, chicken ginger kabab and lamb seekh kabab) - this is basically a giant plate of meat and I'm not mad it it. My favorites were the lamb and the chicken tikka Karma Kafe Biryani (Basmati rice casserole layered with seasoned Shrimp, lamb, chicken, and vegetables flavored with aromatic herbs and spices and served with raita on the side) - it seemed like everyone was getting the biryani, so I wanted to try it. It was a HUGE portion and when I say huge, I mean they pulled up another table just so they could set the plate down. I wasn't a huge fan of it but I'm beginning to think that I just don't love biryani. There's a certain spice in it that I'm not keen to Hopefully, they'll bring back the buffet so that I can try a bigger variety of dishes. Until then, I'll need to try my go-to, chicken tikka masala but I have a feeling I already know it's going to be amazing.

Karma Kafe has ruined all other Indian restaurants for me. I judge all others against this one. Really love the Chana Masala and garlic naan. Top tier Mango Lassi as well.

I went in with a very little expectation and this one was actually pretty good. Food portion was generous, service was attentive and ambiance was also pretty decent as well. Majority of customers who were in there on that night was of Indian descent which usually means they would find it good quality and pretty authentic. Price point wasn't too bad either - got 1 app, 2 entrees with 2 alcohol drink and it was less than $100 including tip which really doesn't happen often lately in NYC Metro Area. Definteily will go back whenever I find myself craving for Indian food in Hoboken.

This was my first time at Karma, and I'm so sad to say that it did not live up to expectations. Firstly, I am vegetarian and love going to Indian restaurants for their vegetarian dishes. However, I found that there was not much variety and most of their top dishes were reserved for non veg eaters. I ordered the Kashmiri paneer, and was really excited to try the saffron curry, but was very disappointed with the quality of the food. The curry did not have much saffron flavor and was filled with vegetables other than paneer, which is not what I ordered. It seemed like they filled up the curry with potatoes and cauliflower to increase the quantity, without actually adding more paneer. My non veg friends got the chicken biryani and the madras chicken, and they were raving about it. The chicken biriyani has a huge portion size, so take advantage of that! Overall, the place is cute and has a nice vibe, however, I left feeling very unsatisfied with the Kashmiri paneer, especially for the price. The service was good as well, however the vegetarian food did not shine through at all.

It was delicious food and great service. I got the Gingery Coconut Chicken Soup and it was amazing. The vibes were great and I would definitely come back again.

Our go to. Big portions and very friendly service. I'm not in the position to say whether it's authentic or not but I definitely have an authentic experience on the john the morning after dealing with the "karma"

Unfortunately, they currently don't have the all-you-can-eat buffet available due to COVID... But my friend and I still opted to stop by because I was especially craving Indian food that day and their prices/quality seemed pretty good. The reviews for this spot was also fairly good, so we made a drive over to Hoboken from the nearby Jersey City to check out this spot. We came for lunch. My friend and I decided that since we didn't know what to get, so we would get it all and share. We got garlic naan as an appetizer. We got 2 entrees: Chicken Madras (because we wanted something a bit spicy) and Chicken Biryani. My goodness... when all the food came out, we had a whole feast in front of us. I give this place a big thumbs up for their food portions! By the pictures, you really can't tell how big these plates are, but they are really quite big. We came in fairly hungry. But by the end, we said that we would have honestly shared one entree and been full. But in the end, we couldn't even finish half of it and had to take it all to-go! The food satisfied me for a really long time. As expected, the garlic naan is great! It's very soft and can't go wrong with this option. I would definitely recommend their Chicken Biryani. It's a staple in Indian cuisine and it really doesn't disappoint. There was so much flavor... chicken & rice mixed in one plate. The chicken pieces are very big, so you get much protein/carbs. As for the Chicken Madras, it was more simple. The Chicken Madras was a bit spicy, but nothing my friend and I couldn't handle. Other than the bowl of spicy sauce/chicken, there was plain rice on the side. Not as much flavor as the biryani, but I'm glad I got to try how it tasted, so I know for next time. Overall, we were very satisfied with the food that we ate and how full we were at the end. Prices were fairly decent for the amount of food. Servers were really attentive and there was very quick service. I enjoyed my experience.

Very nice spot in Hoboken. Consistently good food with generous portions. Nice variety and good service. I have only done take out but the indoor space seems cozy and always buzzing with families, couples and small groups of friends.

I've heard great things about this spot and finally got to try it! I came in during the evening on a week day and it wasn't so busy until like 8pm when we left. The decor is very colorful and fitting for the culture. I love it! For drinks I just had a water but my friend drank a Mango Lassi. She let me try some and it was DELICIOUS. For our appetizer we had the Samosa Chaat. It was a dish I had never tried before and it was really good. It had a sweet and spicy blend due to the sauces. The only thing me and my friend didn't like was how big the samosas were. It was hard to eat it all at once but despite that it was great. We weren't too hungry and knew that the portion sizes would be big so we decided to share Chicken Makhani aka butter chicken. It was as tasty as I expected! The portion size was just enough for the two of us and we ordered Garlic Naan with it which was more than enough for us. If you don't eat a lot in one sitting you could definitely share these platters. Overall my first experience at Karma Kafe was smooth and satisfying. I'll be back!

I believe in Karma... just in case. There is a large percentage of me that will pick up trash, donate, or leave a five star review just in case it means I can ensure a good future. It's kind of the same reason why I believed in Santa for so long. Why not try to be "good" and believe in this dude if it equaled presents later. Ideally, I'd just do good. I feel like Karma Kafe is like this, they do good just for goodness sake. It shows through their customer service and delicious food.

(Uber Eats) The chicken tikka masala sauce was very standard, but my main issue was the dryness of the chicken ): I basically left all of it at the end and need to think of a way to salvage it.

Solid Indian at a very reasonable price. Tried a tikka paneer (cheese) kebab. Nice large pieces, perfectly seasoned and grilled. Also tried one of their Chaats (I forget which one, but it was also solid. Finished off with a kebab platter of chicken 2 ways and lamb. Washed it down with a hard mango lassi (with rum). Will definitely return if in the area. Only complaint was that the service was a bit slow. Other than that, solid!!

A beautiful restaurant with above average food. Great seating in this quaint place, and solid menu options. The chicken samosa was a great appetizer and at $8 for 2 large pieces is quite reasonable. The chicken tandoori naan was good but a little bit dry, I will try a different naan or roti on my next visit. The chicken tikka masala was pretty good. Large chunks of chicken with a flavorful sauce. I wish they provided just a bit more chicken with the dish, and perhaps more rice on the side as well. All in all, above average Indian in a nice restaurant. Points of improvement would be adding a little bit more meat to entree and providing more rice. I'll be back! They sure seem to do A LOT of take out orders so it must be popular. Worth trying!

I moved to the suburbs, and think about Karma Kafe often. One might associate Hoboken with Italian, but for me nothing slaps quite like Karma Kafe. I've tried countless Indian restaurants nears me and none come close in terms of portion (complimentary Dal, am I right?!) and flavor. I discovered my love of their Gobi Matar after eating my MILs leftovers and the rest is history. No one, and I mean no one in the tristate area makes this dish the same.

A great place for Indian food. Portions are very big and food comes out fresh and quick. Make sure to go on an empty stomach.

It's pricy but worth it! This is my third time coming here and it's always delicious. The tikka masala is delicious with huge chunks of chicken. The naan is huge and the soup that comes with it I love it! The place itself is bright and colorful and the service is quick and they are very kind. If you're in the area try them out

It was easy to get a table on weekday for dinner. We got the Chicken Madras, which we assumed would be Chettinad style but it wasn't. I have never had a South Indian chicken curry which was so devoid of salt and spice, it was almost sweet. Lamb biryani was okay, it's one of the regular restaurant style ones where biryani rice is cooked separately from meat- doesn't really make for a gastronomical delight that a biryani usually is. Decent wine menu. Service was quick and efficient.

First time ordering and it won't be the last! Ordered a Palak lamb lunch special. It doesn't photograph well, but the lamb was tender and the palak tasty! Could have used a bit more seasoning, but I would still order it again! Added naan for $2.00 and I got this huge naan right out of the tandoor! Looking forward to ordering again and checking out their lunch buffet in the future!

Food was amazing and the service was great - very friendly! It was our first time eating at an indian restaurant. Im not a big fan of spicy food, so for me the Tikka Masala was alittle too spicy but it was still so good i had to eat all of it. Very spacious restaurant too, we will definitely be back.

my friend invited me to visit her in hoboken and we tried this place together for the first time. amazing food and very cozy atmosphere which i LOVED. saw a variety of parties coming in from friends, to people on dates, to families, a place for all! the food truly blew me away with the presentation and quality! the best part was a complimentary dessert. cannot wait to come back when i'm in NJ! sending thanks from MD for a delicious dinner!

Got the lamb curry and chicken biryani for take out. Everything was very good . The chicken biryani was really big and we had lots of left overs but it was very spicy so I hope you like that. Next time we gonna need double yougurt for it haha. Very good food and we will come Again

The food was good but not great! We ordered the chicken saag and the chicken tikka Marsala. Both were good but not completed when it came to flavor. What I love about chicken tikka is the creamy sauce and their version only tastes like tomato and garlic .. not terrible. It was tasty but not something I would crave or order again. The saag chicken was good but lacked any depth of favor. The naan was pro a sly the best I have ever had. The service was good! Loved the atmosphere and location.

One of the best restaurants for Indian food. Authentic, flavorful and full of culture. They know they're stuff and the staff here are super friendly. It's a semi quiet place with nice decor. The food was so good and filling. The kabob sampler had good meats and the sauces to dip were also great. The garlic naan was a perfect side to dip into the entree sauces. The desserts were sweet and delicious. I'd come again for sure.

A rainy day outing brought to you by Karma Kafe! Good word of mouth had us looking this place up on our search for some solid Indian food nomming - with the weather wet and cold a hot meal was necessary! We called ahead asking what COVID restrictions they had in place and what their terms were for reservations/ dine in inquiries. We were told that they would be able to seat us inside whenever we arrived and that promise was more than enough to convince us to go here haha. An unsuspecting place from the outside - it's more long than wide when stepping inside. The full bar is tucked away in the back. We sat in the more inside corner to keep away from the chill of the entry door opening and closing. The main middle area was blocked off from seating and was used as a touch point for all the take out orders being picked up by different delivery services. This effectively organized the flow of dine in and take out traffic - the middle being purposefully cleared and the dining patrons seated on the perimeter - smart! Once seated, our waiter had our water glasses ready and were served complimentary papad to begin the meal! Our waiter took down our app and drink orders in quick order after answering a few questions we had about some of the items. We ordered the bhel puri to start - very tasty. We asked for the tamarind on the side and the staff were great in accommodating that request. For our party of three we ordered two entrees to share - the paneer makhani and the chole palak. Each dish came with daal and rice on the side and we ordered a helping of garlic naan. The food was very flavorful and not too oily. I liked the chole palak a lot and the spice level wasn't over powering but definitely tingled my taste buds. The wait staff were great in checking in on us and quick with clearing dishes as items were finished off. We did have some leftovers so they gave us some takeaway containers and per their guidelines asked us to pack up (totally understandable because COVID.) Overall great experience and didn't find it overall expensive given the amount of dishes and drinks we ordered. Happy to be back soon!

Fact check. "Josh B. is so fanatical that he remembers details about buffets from 15 years ago." Answer: partially true. While his recollections of buffets are far above statistical norms, they can be inexact. For example, he can generally recall the highlights of long-ago buffet visits, but is unclear on details such as whether soda was included. It's been far too long since I went to Karma Kafe. Remember when buffets existed? Sigh. But life goes on. Weekend nights are for getting wild and crazy, i.e., spending a long time reading Uber Eats. Many places have tandoori chicken, but I don't know many that specialize in it. Karma Kafe was the only one I found where it appeared in the Yelp top three items. It was exemplary, with just the right amount of char and more spice than usual. The papri chaat is also recommended, with plenty of flavor even before you add the outstanding green and tamarind chutneys.

AVOID.THIS.PLACE. Unless you want to eat STALE food with a bunch of MAGGOTS/WORMS in it. We ordered malai kofta that came with daal through Uber eats. Everything tasted fine but as soon as we tried the Daal, a strong sourness and odor hit us immediately. The daal smelled and tasted rotten. It smelled like food waste that has been sitting for days. We called the restaurant and they replied by saying that it might be the lemon they sometimes add to the food. Seriously they think we can't tell the difference between lemon and rotten food? Not to mention we've been eating daal for years. Here comes the highlight of the night. When we're disposing the daal in the trash can, we spotted quite a few white, longish objects floating in the daal. Turns out it's a bunch of dead(I hope, but does it even matter) of either maggots or worms. I wished I had taken the pictures, but at that moment we just froze, feeling sick, nauseous and speechless, with goosebumps crawling all over. Who wouldn't after seeing worms floating in the rotten food? Can't stop thinking about the worm/maggots that we ate from the food. So of course we called the restaurant again, telling them what we saw in the food and to ask them to stop serving that to any other customers. Here's what they say: "You're the only customer that has this complaint tonight." So this is the response from a restaurant that serves customer rotten food with worms in it. We've been Jersey City residents for more than four years now. Karma Kafe has always been our go-to Indian restaurants, but it ends today. Even at this moment while writing this review, my stomach is still retching with disgust.

A small restaurant but one of the better Indian restaurants in Hoboken. We ordered the paneer makhani and chicken vindaloo as our entrees. The vindaloo was soo spicy but so flavorful! However I wasn't a huge fan of the the potatoes in the gravy I wish they were chopped a little smaller. Paneer was hearty and it was made spicy per our request. I also loved the dal that came with the entrees, I usually don't see that served as a side dish.

Karma kafe is probably the best Indian restaurant in Hoboken. The restaurant design and ambiance is very nice. The food was even better. It wasn't too expensive, but was a nice dinner out. It was hard to get seated for a big party, because it's a small place, but def worth the wait. If you like spice, def try the chili garlic naan!
