KASED'S INTERNATIONAL HALAL MARKET KENNER

This is a great Middle Eastern (and South Asian) food market that has a remarkable variety of products from all over the world but focusing on Arabic (Halal) offerings and a lot of Indian food as well. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They also have a fairly decent produce section with mint, cucumber, watercress and more. Their meat is often beef or lamb, but sometimes goat and camel. They have an extensive spice section (available in smaller quantities) as well as candy, chocolate, nuts and tons of snacks! I wish they'd offer their own platters of hummus and babganoush and fresh olives which wold be great for parties or game day! Definitely worth a visit especially if you want o make your own authentic fare.

Kased International Market in Kenner is a true gem. I love the quality and variety of their herbs and international products—you can really tell care is taken in sourcing. I recently picked up hawthorn and olive leaves, and they were fresh, well-packaged, and exactly what I was looking for for my herbal routines. The market has a wonderful selection, fair prices, and that welcoming neighborhood feel that keeps you coming back. If you’re looking for authentic international ingredients and quality herbs, this is definitely a place to visit.

Great place right next to my house. The ingredients are always fresh and I absolutely love coming here for authentic spices and other foods not supplied by big box stores. Produce is on point, always.

11/22/25 This store smells amazing! Along with wonderful aromas, I was greeted by friendly staff, and a clean & organized environment. Never been to a butcher before, but the warm smiling faces behind the counter helped me get exactly what I needed. I’m sad I don’t have enough space in my freezer for the 60pc freezer bag of samosas and a bunch of other delicious goodies lol Already excited to make several more visits! :)

They have the best meat in town!! It’s the first time ever my family have goat meat without the gamey taste. The meat is fresh and butcher services is on point. Highly recommended

My daughter and I went there and we got some Samosas. Let me tell you, the store and people there are such a blessing. I made my green chutney sauce from scratch and let me tell you. Fresh mint, parsley, and cilantro. Healthy stems. Peppers. Chef’s kiss. My daughters love the varieties and cultures she can experience. I love it because it’s much healthier than regular stores. They serve clean meat which is good for my entire family. Thank you for your kindness and for making us feel at home. I told her we could try a different chocolate bar when we go. This is great place for Halal food and you can easily find things from Pakistan, India and Gulf with variety of options.

This place is the best place to buy your supplies for your middle eastern mean. You can also get ingredients for some African dishes as well. The butcher shop was the same this past Sunday when I went as it was during Ramadan. Definitely worth making the trip from Mandeville.

Bought some vimto and it was expired . They put a store label with a fake expectation date on it . Made my stomach turn almost threw up becomes it was expired . Be careful when u buy more than once bought expires things from them. I guess I should check the dates more but I shouldn't have to.

Very friendly owners, they make you feel like family when shopping. I have been going here for several years now and I must say they were a life saver during Hurricane Ida, being one of the few stores open running on their emergency generator.

The owner still refuses to wear a mask while customers are shopping in his store and several of his employees also don't wear their masks properly. The blatant disregard for his community and customers' health is appalling.

GREAT Family owned business. Have known them for many years - Very courteous, respectful and very clean. I have family members with medical conditions (have had 2 of them collapse and pass out from wearing masks) and I really appreciate that they RESPECT peoples' personal health issues & privacy under HIPAA and don't rudely demand or force them to wear masks - They are also well-stocked on their products (even during COVID) and even go out of their way to order items that might be missing. Very conveniently located and have ample parking too. Very happy to have such a great family serving the community!

Visited this business today . No complaints about the products , though the meat prices are high . Troubling is the fact that this business is not following the recommended /mandated public health measures . Its employees are roaming around without any caution; they are non compliant about masks and other distancing measures.. There are no plexi glass protective set ups in the butcher/meat and the check out areas where customers congregate more and these are the most risky areas . About 70% of customers were wearing a facial covering ...hence..... Customers : CAUTION.

This is by far the best halal store I've found in New Orleans. The place is nice and clean. The meat is great. They have all kinds of rice and spices. I love the place and would recommend it to anyone looking for halal meat. Even the price on the meat is similar to the meat sold by whole food and Walmart. The store owner can dress in any form or cloths he wants. Isn't this a free country that supports the freedom of everyone!.

This is a wonderful market with a great meat counter. I got to talking with the butcher while he was preparing my leg of lamb and he- and the rest of the staff- are the nicest people in the world. Happy to talk about food, filled with experience and advice for cooking. It's worth the drive out to Kenner to shop here.
