"Kashcool Kitchen in Van Nuys offers memorable Persian-style kabobs. Co-owner Mahtab Javadian-Saraf brings five decades of experience and high-quality ingredients to the table. The restaurant originally debuted in Mashad, Iran, in 1969, relocated to Vancouver for 12 years, and reemerged in Woodland Hills in 2014. After three years in a large dining room, they moved to a smaller space focused on catering and takeout. The menu features a variety of kabobs, including filet mignon sultani, lamb rack shishlik, and wild Canadian salmon kabob, with each plate accompanied by saffron-stained basmati rice and grilled Roma tomato. Appetizers include Persian dips and dolmeh, and desserts feature saffron ice cream and baklava. The restaurant also offers beverages like iced black tea, doogh, and Turkish coffee." - Joshua Lurie

I visited here for the first time and after wanting to for quite some time! The Kebab, Rice, Grilled Tomato, and Salad is yum. I got #65, The Seasoned Ground Beef Koobideh Kabob. It was sooo good. It definitely was seasoned right. This is a great Persian Restaurant. The architecture is very culture and if you’re Persian than you’ll feel at home😊😊😊 I will be visiting again soon. Merciii!

We were in the area and were very excited to try Persian food, we walk in to a place that you can barely fit 10 people which was not an issue to me, we were looking at the menu when a lady comes out and says I don’t think we can take your order, the kitchen it’s very busy and if your order it’s going to take very long,. A good way to treat customers, don’t waste your quarters on the meters to stop by at this place

Love eating the Queen's Platter here. It's a good variety of koobideh & lamb. Never had anything but a phenomenal meal here.

Really good Persian Cuisine. The place is very small, but the food is Awesome! The chicken kabobs are so delicious, you will be licking your fingers after you had this dish. The owner is very pleasant and friendly. They also have the best Iced Tea. It is made with mint leaves .

I had never tried Persian food before. I have heard that it was pretty good. Little did I know I was going to be so impressed with the service and the taste of the food. The whole experience was great. Starting with the friendliness and helpful suggestions and delicious food. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone

Delicate flavors and generous portions. Got lamb, beef, and chicken kabobs. All were outstanding and tender. The rice was so fluffy we both completely cleaned our plates. Nice quiet outdoor area for dinner.

Don't let the tiny storefront deceive you. This tiny hole in the wall has been around for years and has the best lamb kabob i've tasted to date. This is coming from someone that has traveled to the middle east so I can tell you this stuff is the bomb! A must try. I don't recommend dining in as space is extremely limited.

This is a small & cozy place to eat. Really small. There are 3 tables. No matter the food is delicious. Staff is attentive. They even went as far as catering to my diabetic needs. Not every place is thoughtful or considerate to their customers. I don't need restaurants to cater to me but when they do that says a lot about who they are. Try it out.
