Kashcool Kitchen serves up authentic Persian kabobs in an intimate setting, blending delicious flavors with cozy Middle Eastern vibes.
"Kashcool Kitchen in Van Nuys offers memorable Persian-style kabobs. Co-owner Mahtab Javadian-Saraf brings five decades of experience and high-quality ingredients to the table. The restaurant originally debuted in Mashad, Iran, in 1969, relocated to Vancouver for 12 years, and reemerged in Woodland Hills in 2014. After three years in a large dining room, they moved to a smaller space focused on catering and takeout. The menu features a variety of kabobs, including filet mignon sultani, lamb rack shishlik, and wild Canadian salmon kabob, with each plate accompanied by saffron-stained basmati rice and grilled Roma tomato. Appetizers include Persian dips and dolmeh, and desserts feature saffron ice cream and baklava. The restaurant also offers beverages like iced black tea, doogh, and Turkish coffee." - Joshua Lurie
