Where to Find Exceptional Halal Eats in Houston

"One of Houston’s premier Persian restaurants, Kasra is home to some of the city’s best kebabs and Persian specialties. Start with the kashke bademjan, a warm eggplant dip, and then try one of the various stews or rice dishes, like the zereshk polo, barberry rice that pairs well with skewers of filet mignon, beef, ground chicken, and lamb kebabs." - Sean Hekmat, Kayla Stewart

Stopped by on a Monday afternoon and were seated promptly. The standout items were the doogh (yogurt drink), barg, and the Persian ice cream served with baklava—the baklava, in particular, was excellent. Unfortunately, the koobideh was disappointing; it didn’t resemble traditional Persian koobideh in flavor and had an off taste. Prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. While there were elements I enjoyed, I’ve had better Persian food experiences in Houston overall.

The food was amazing, and the customer service was top-notch! Our waiter was incredibly friendly and attentive. I went with the Kubideh and Chicken Kabob, served with basmati rice. We also tried the grilled garlic butter shrimp on the side, which was absolutely delicious!

We were looking to try something new and someone had recommended Kasra to us so we decided to check it out. After a 25min wait, we were seated at a table between two very large parties; it was uncomfortable and there was no room. We said we were not uncomfortable and were told this was the only table. Jacob our waiter was really good and came quickly to get our order but the encroachment from the parties was too much so we asked to move. Both hosts were very unaccommodating and inhospitable and that made the entire experience bad! the experience got worse when we got the food. the eggplant was filled with garlic and had no other flavor, the persian salad literally had no flavor nor taste and was just cut up cucumbers and tomatoes with nothing else, the rice with the kabobs also were very plain and no taste, and the kabobs also did not taste good. overall bad customer service by the host and bad food - the only saving grace was our water Jacob who was very good

Nut allergy warning: Several dishes do contain walnuts and pistachios, including the cranberry rice. The kashke bademjan doesn't have nuts listed, but I felt a slight tingle that may be a result of cross contamination. Time-to-Appetizers: 9 Minutes Time-to-Entrees: 22 Minutes I came with a group of six and was promptly seated around 6PM. Complimentary bread and vegetables were quickly provided, nice and piping hot! For a table of six, we ordered: Appetizer Sampler: Hummus (4.5/5), Kashke Bademjan (4/5), Mast Khiar (4/5). I personally liked the Mast Khiar the most, and some of my table liked the Kashke Bademjan the most. The hummus was unanimously enjoyed. Family Platter for Six (4.5/5): While the highlight of the platter is definitely the filet mignon, the rest of the meats were fork-seperable tender. I didn't think the rice was anything special but the chicken and beef kubideh were delicious. I wish it came with lamb as well, but what we got was plenty. Portions were huge and I believe our order (with the appetizers) could've easily fed eight people. Their Turkish tea was also very good, but the coffee was nothing special. Service was very attentive and always kept us topped up with water and anything else we needed. Overall, I see the hype. Very reasonable prices and excellent portions. I would come back!

We went here on spring break. I had heard about the fantastic humus and Naan bread. It was amazing, needless to say. We had a wonderful time, great food, and even better company. Thank you, Kasra, for a wonderful experience

Google
Really affordable Persian food that are large portions too. Their chicken kebab was my favorite overall. I got it in the chicken sultani. The meat was juicy and flavorful. I also tried the beef kubideh, zereshk polo with chicken, hummus, mirza bademjan, and tah digh. Avoid the tah digh (crispy rice), it wasn’t good at all. The zereshk polo with chicken was half of a chicken and the rice that came with it is more sweet with the cranberry. The mirza bademian was mild in flavor and tastes a bit more like tomato. Overall, the portions were good and the food was tasty!

Google
Good spot for some Persian grilled food. The restaurant is quite spacious and is decorated pretty nicely which definitely enhances the experience. We went with a large group and while we had to wait a long time, they were able to accommodate us. The service is pretty friendly. We got a bunch of meat items for both beef and chicken and they were generally pretty good. The rice is quite bland however and the absence of sauces make it even drier.

Google
I had an incredible meal here. The complimentary bread was so fluffy, warm, and fresh I could not stop eating it. Pairs perfectly with the herbs and cheese as well as the appetizer sampler we got. The hummus was the best l've had in Houston, so flavorful! The beet one was surprisingly sweet while the eggplant dip was savory and tasty. The kasra combo was wonderful. The chicken and beef were seasoned to perfection and incredibly juicy. Loved the grilled vegetables and aromatic basmati rice as well. The interior was very clean and beautiful and the service was super attentive.

Yelp
Went on a Saturday evening and it was super busy. After trying the food I'm not surprised as to why. They gave us some taftoon bread to start and we ordered the kashke bademjan for an appetizer. We also got the kasra combo with beef chenjeh and chicken baarg, as well as a lamb kubideh. The taftoon bread with a bite of feta, radish, and mint is so delightful. The bread came out warm and was perfect for the rainy/chilly day. (7/10) We also dipped the bread in the kashke bademjan which made it even better. The kashke bademjan was the perfect blend of creamy, savory, and a slight hint of sweetness from the grilled onions. If you are fan of egg plant dip I would definitely recommend this dish as it is an elevated version. I am glad we followed this recommendation from our server Ruben! (8/10) The kashra combo came with grilled vegetables and rice on the side and was exactly what I was looking for. The vegetables and chicken were grilled perfectly and the chicken was extremely juicy and tender despite being on the grill. The beef chenjeh was also very flavorful and tender and the lamb kubideh was the perfect addition to the meal. (9/10) Overall I really enjoyed my experience at Kasra. The ambiance is classy but still casual and friendly. The service was great and helpful with the menu and the parking lot is huge. The is also plenty of seating inside so it is a good spot to take big parties. All the food was so yummy and the portions were very generous for the price. Will definitely be back for more!

Yelp
All i can say is terrific! Indoor seating with very nice patio seating Staff is very friendly and attentive The food is delicious We were a party of 4 and we all chose vegetarian Many options with meat or vegetarian A nice option was the 3 side lunch/dinner We also had appetizers Continuous bread You will not go hungry If it was close to where I live, I would definitely go once a week!

Yelp
We visit Kasra every time we are in Houston. This is the only restaurant I have ever found that offers a plant-based kabob and it's amazing. Highly recommend to all vegetarians! When you sit down they bring out taftoon and a variety of herbs, cheese, and radish. Very delicious. I always get the impossible kubideh and my partner has ordered many of the different kabobs over time. You can't go wrong here. After we eat we always get hot tea to finish the meal. The service is good, they are often very busy but they don't leave you waiting. The restaurant is very nice inside with a variety of seating arrangements.

Yelp
I decided to be adventurous this past weekend and thought why not try some Persian food. I have to say coming out of this meal that I was pleasantly surprised with how good the food and service was! I started the meal off with an appetizer sampler. I was able to pick 3 of their apps and went with the Kasha Bademjan (eggplant dip), Hummus, and Mast Labu (yogurt with beets). I highly recommend trying the Kasha Bademjan and the Mast Labu. The beets had a slight sweetness that was paired perfectly with the yogurt. For my entree, I ended up ordering the Kasra Combo with beef chenjah and salmon. From the Ala carte menu, I ordered a kubideh skewer. The Kasra Combo had a good amount of veggies and rice as well. The only knock that I had with this combo was the beef chenjah ended up being a bit chewy to eat. Everything else was really flavorful and delicious though. I recommend this place if you're in the mood for some good Persian food.

Yelp
Highly recommend this place strictly for the Hummus. I could come here and just have the bread and hummus and would be very happy. Hummus has potent garlic taste and is by far one of the best. The staff is extremely polite which makes the experience much more enjoyable. The portion to price ratio is solid. Nice clean restaurant and great vibes. I will be coming back here for more anytime I'm in town!

Yelp
We would give Kasra in Rice Village 5 plus stars! Impeccably clean restaurant, nice decor, kind and efficient wait staff and the BEST fresh and delicious food! Kudos to Ruben, our waiter, for his fabulous recommendations and unlimited pita for our 3 delicious dips. The Chicken Breast Barg was the best chicken I have ever had... tender, juicy and fabulous flavor. This is now my favorite restaurant in Houston! All of the wait staff were hard working, happy and polite. We were impeccably looked after by many of them. The manager, Lucio checked with each table to make sure people were pleased with their order. He was so kind and friendly and even came by to pack up our dips and send us home with more fresh and hot pita bread. This is a must try restaurant!!!

Yelp
We came here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We were seated very quickly and had a wonderful waitress and had checked on us multiple times throughout our dining experience. As well as keeping our drinks full. And the mental understanding of the nonverbal "we would like more bread " across the room. The food was amazing. This is easy my top two Persian grill right off the charts. It's actually tied with my other favorite Persian Grill. However, here seems to be a lot more seating space but it could just be the time of day. The food has so much flavor yet they mesh very well together. The free appetizer of the herbs, feta cheese and bread is amazing. It gives a nice and clean after taste before you have your main meal. They clean their herbs very well before serving it to you. Also, You get the savory taste of the soft meats and salmon that's easily cut by your fork. All four cuts were super tender. And the semi sweet dried fruits with the rice for a slight contrast against the Unami flavors is just great. The tea is almost perfection if you want it without sugar. And if you do want sugar they give you sugar cubes which, from my understanding, is a tradition with their tea where you keep a sugar cube in your cheek as you drink. If you're worried about level of spiciness, don't. Everything isn't spicy. And you can ask for a side of tart cherries to help counteract if you happen to order something spicy on purpose. The roasted garlic and jalapeño was also a good add on to the dish. Also, the bread/nan. Amazing. It is Crispy on the outside soft on the inside and comes piping hot to the table. Along with the tart cherries, this can counteract any "spiciness" if you are worried about it. Again, with the space of the venue, the place is huge and the color coordination melts together in shades of gold, white, and brown. The table and chairs are stable and clean. Parking is free and out front. The team here are amazing. I definitely want to take my parents and in laws here when given the chance. Also, they have an online with photos. :)

Yelp
The service at Kasra was outstanding. I wish I asked for her name, I didn't want to intrude on privacy as they don't wear name tags. She was helpful with menu suggestions and very kind, honestly the entire staff and management are top notch. The food was fresh, large portions, and even better the next day! We look forward to trying out other options from their menu.

Yelp
I'm not super familiar with middle eastern food but I will say everything we got was delicious! The kebabs were so tender, flavorful, and juicy. The rice was so fragrant. We also got two appetizers each of which came with 3 pieces of bread. The hummus was nice and tangy and the kashke bademjan had a beautiful refreshing flavor. We didn't dine in but we did go inside the restaurant and it was beautiful. The staff is also friendly and welcoming. For the amount of food we ordered the service was also fast, about a 25 minute wait. Also important to note, for the amount of food we got the price was fair bc it was at least 10 lbs of food! I would definitely recommend this place and hope to return again!

Yelp
Amazing, yummy food!! It tasted very fresh and was prepared beautifully. They had a lot of different options to choose from and they work with you on if you need to change anything. The price isn't bad for the quality of food that you get. Everyone was very friendly and very attentive. Inside was very nice, had a bar area and 2 separate seating areas. I loved the chandeliers and paintings inside. Very nice. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
We ordered the fesenjaan (pomegranate molasses and walnut stew with chicken), gormeh sabzi (stew with greens - especially fenugreek - and red beans with beef), and roasted eggplant (similar to babaghanoush). Very good service, very good food! It was quite crowded (for good reason!), and yet the waiter was attentive and we didn't have to wait long for our food. This place is great for all groups - I saw several large families there with many kids. Definitely family-friendly!

Yelp
لذیذ Khosh-mazeh! Met some friends for a Saturday lunch and was pleasantly delighted. Nestled in a busy plaza full of businesses and restaurants, the place was spacious and beautifully decorated. It was not packed but there was quite a lot of business and it was steady. Seated quickly. Our server was Ali, and he was a delight. Very helpful and pleasant. He was attentive but not overly in our space. My friends had been there before so they immediately ordered hummus. They brought us complimentary Taftoon bread and a bowl toppings. The bread came out piping hot and delicious and paired so well with the hummus. The hummus was delicious and fresh. Ordered the Kasra combo - choose two of either beef chenjeh, chicken barg, salmon, or shrimp. served with grilled vegetables, dill & fava bean basmati rice - so I chose the beef chenjeh, salmon and subbed basmati rice. I also ordered a half skewer of the chicken kabob. I knew I'd be talking home half of this for dinner. There is a cranberry rice my friend suggested but I was unsure and he gave me a taste of his and it is pretty fantastic. Next time. The beef chenjeh was very tasty. It was my favorite protein which is unlike me because I normally prefer chicken but this beef was flavorful, juicy and tender. The salmon was nicely cooked and tasty. The chicken kabob was grilled perfectly. It was tender but not overcooked. Everything paired nicely with the rice. Everything about this place was perfection. The atmosphere, decor, cleanliness, food quality and portion, staff and overall energy. Two people stopped to check on us (I think one might have been the owner and the other a manager) very subtle, not in your face but smooth and respectful. They both politely thanked us for coming. This is definitely a place on my list. Before I even got in the car, I was thinking about who I could bring next. I am sure I sat in the car and texted about 20 people before I even drove off. Will def be back. (I gave a small sample box to my 86 year old father who mostly eats Chinese food. He had never even heard of Persia (sorry) but he said the food was good and tender and he enjoyed it! If you know my dad, this was a major compliment)

Yelp
How can I give this place more stars? A few coworkers and I visited Houston for a conference. We ate dinner at Kasra the second night we were there. Everything we ordered was delicious . I ordered Kasra's Impossible Kubideh, which was plant-based meat kabob. It came with cranberry rice and grilled veggies. I totally described my meal as life changing as I was eating. Amazing food! The service and ambience were good.

Yelp
They recently renovated the restaurant and it's such a vibe. Before it was nice but it's even better and they extended the space out so that there's more seating area. The restrooms are stunning too! The food is so flavorful and juicy! The bread always comes out fresh and hot! The hummus is a staple. Recently tried the garlic sauce and it's so good! It's pure gold. They don't mix other things to cheapen the quality. The service is fast and they are very attentive. Been coming here for years and won't stop.
google avatar

Yelp
If you come hungry, this is the place to come get full. They serve big portions. The flavor is awesome on anything you get. We got 3 orders of family platters and we could not finish it among 11 men.

Yelp
Food is good. Server very unhappy and disrespectful when people do not leave a lot of tip. Bad thing is after paying with credit card, after leaving there, same date, there has been at least two times that our credit card has been cloned, too much coincidence???? We came back, sometimes, there but paying in cash.

Yelp
During our most recent trip to Houston, we were taken to this restaurant, and boy, was it a nice time! To start out, the restaurant was very nice inside, and one thing I definitely noticed was the interesting art of the walls. Seating wise, there was plenty of space, and we chose to sit in their indoor/outdoor patio section. Our waitress was top-notch. She was incredibly friendly, attentative, and overall made us feel very welcomed. Food wise, this experience was different than persian food that we've had in the past, though it was different in a good way, and it felt more authentic. The bread that served complimentary tableside was light on flavor but was still nice. We didn't order any appetizers and instead skipped straight to entrees. We ordered the beef kubideh, the chicken sultani, the lamb kubideh, and the lamb chops. They were all extremely tasty and unique, and you really can't go wrong with any of these, though my favorite was either the lamb kubideh or the chicken sultani. If you are looking for a different Persian cuisine experience, I'd definitely recommend trying this place out!

Yelp
Honestly the only Persian restaurant that I have been to, but also will be the only one that I will continue to go to. The food here is absolutely amazing, everything is super well flavored, tender and melts in your mouth. The hummus here is the best hummus I've ever tried, and whenever you dine-in, you can get full off just eating all the bread they give you and the hummus dip. The ambiance inside is also super beautiful, with nice lighting and spacious seating. The kubideh combo is my go to dish, as I can try both the beef and chicken, and as mentioned before, it is super flavorful and tender. The rice with the melted butter is also delicious.

Yelp
went here based on the yelp service and it didn't disappoint, Upon entering the place has a fun and entertaining ambiance. The service started a on the slow side but got better. the food was delicious we order chicken and filet kabobs and the meat was so tender. This will be my go to for kabobs.

Yelp
My son in law and I visited Kasra Persian Grill in the Westchase area yesterday for lunch. It was a great experience. He had seen the restaurant on some Instagram reviewers page and I had remembered it from one of the past Top 100 lists from the Chronicle food critic. We started with three dips - a hummus, a yogurt cucumber dip and one with eggplant. It was served with Persian Flatbread called Taftoon. The hummus and yogurt dips were very good, and the flatbread was fine, but I think I really like Naan or Pita better than this version. We then ordered both Chicken and Beef Kubideh Kabags (these are ground meat kabobs) along with a Chicken Barg kabob. The Chicken Barg is a very moist chicken breast. We also ordered the Khorake Karafs (Celery, Onion, Mint & Parsley stew) with a lamb shank on top. All of the meat was top notch, very flavorful, and good sized portions. Neither of us cared for the Celery Stew. The Instagram guy raved about it, so we tried it, and wouldn't order it again. Perhaps one of the other stews. The Basmati rice was just right, and the service was friendly and attentive. The space was large and well lit and bustling at lunchtime. If we ever find ourselves hungry and in that part of town, Kasra would certainly garner a return visit. Very flavorful comforting food.

Yelp
Really great spot! It's decorated really nicely in there and is a very nice vibe. The service was great, and the food was very good with BIG portion sizes. We had some pita and the shirazi salad which were good! After that we got some Persian tea, which was so yummy as well. For the main course, I got the beef kubideh and cranberry rice, which was DELICIOUS. The kubideh had such a wonderful flavor. It was also HUGE portions, so I was able to make lunch out of it the next day as well. So good! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Food is really good. Service is great and quick and the ambience is really nice. Cannot wait to come back here

Yelp
Everything about this place is absolutely amazing. I have personally tried every chicken dish on the menu and none of them disappoint. Generous portion sizes for very good prices. Any leftovers i typically take home for meal prep and it'll last for the next day and a half. Hummus has to be the #1 item here. ITS A MUST PLEASE DO NOT COME WITHOUT TRYING!!! Wish I had more pictures of my meals because I go here at least once a week but that should tell you something in itself. AMAZING customer service. I literally don't have anything bad to say about this place!!
google avatar

Courtney K.

Yelp
Service was quick, loved the food especially all the appetizers, and was a clean restaurant. Our group of 23 people ordered this first 7 appetizers from the menu which was a variety of egg plant based dips, whipped feta, hummus, and yogurt based dips. We loved the Kashke bademjan dip, hummus, whipped feta, and mast khiar a lot! We ended up ordering 2 more of the feta and hummus as well as ordered 5 plates of veggies for the dips to have along with the complimentary bread. A lot of the group had zereshk polo with chicken and the kubideh dishes. Which I would say if you get any appetizers you may be able to share the entree with someone if you don't eat a huge dish! For how big our group was the service was fast for the apps and not too long for the entrees. Would 100% recommend going as the servers are very kind.

Yelp
Delicious Persian food! I came with some friends for a birthday dinner, and it did not disappoint. I ordered the lamb shank, which came with fava bean/dill rice. The lamb was so tender, it was basically falling off the bone. It was also wonderfully flavored. The rice had a strong dill flavor and had a lot of fava beans, which I'm not the biggest fan of but I know is traditional in this cuisine. I also tried my friend's chicken barg which was sensational. It was tender and juicy, and exploded with flavor in my mouth. Additionally, the interior of this restaurant is beautiful. Overall, I love Kasra and can't wait to come back!
google avatar

Lourdes P.

Yelp
My favorite Persian restaurant! There are so many things I like here... the beef kubideh, the jujeh (Cornish hen), their dill basmati rice, and their garlic sauce are just a few of my favorites! And let me reiterate their garlic sauce is divine if you like garlic! If you like lamb their lamb shank is delicious as well. They make their bread in house and everything is always so fresh. The service is great. If you have a big group you can try make a reservation (not sure if possible) but if it's a small group I'm for sure that it's first come first service. If you're wondering what doogh (a yogurt, mint & mineral water drink) tastes like ask for a sample and they will gladly give it to you. It's definitely not for everyone but I enjoy it.

Yelp
I'd heard many great things about this place, a favorite among my Houstonians. It delivered well. The garden outside greeted us with lush green foliage. The decorated interior could lighten anyone's mood as they walk in. Service was very kind & attentive. Warm bread with feta & herbs was a great start the meal. Our hummus appetizer was impressively garlicky, and so we loved it. Our main dishes were flavorfully well prepared beef on a bed of perfectly cooked rice. Pro tip: order a side of cooked cranberries to add to the rice. Needless to say, we left very satisfied and with ample leftovers!

Yelp
Kasra Persian Grill is my one of my go-to spots for authentic Persian cuisine in Houston, and it's popular for good reason. The juicy kebabs, like the lamb koobideh and chicken soltani, are perfectly cooked and served with fluffy basmati rice. Their saffron rice and stews are full of rich, traditional flavors. The portions are generous, the food is great quality, and the prices are reasonable. The service is always friendly, making it a consistently enjoyable experience. It's a casual spot with a nice ambiance perfect for a quick lunch or dinner. If you're looking for top-notch Persian food, Kasra never disappoints!! Highly recommend

Yelp
HOUSTON, TX 77042 / PERSIAN / FRI 10-06-23 / DINNER, Party of 3 adults & 2 kids +The customer service was excellent. Marco was an awesome waiter. +The meats were seasoned and cooked well. +The dill rice was nicely prepared. -The Kasra combo only came with 3 pieces of beef but lots (7 pieces) of chicken, so the menu is a little misleading. -The lamb chenjeh's price is a bit steep for what you get. Maybe throw in some additional grilled veggies? -Some of the plates and utensils were dirty. -The water tasted unfiltered. What we ordered: '1 appetizer sampler $10.50 '1 lamb chenjeh $29.00 '1 chicken kabob $13.00 '1 Kasra combo $20.00 Total: $93.00 post tax + tip

Yelp
Sure, here's the revised text: As an Iranian, I have to say that the food was authentic. It had the exact taste of home. I tried the lamb kebab with rice, which was delicious. I highly recommend it. The service could be better. The lighting and decoration also resemble an Iranian restaurant. All in all, I will come back again.

Yelp
I loved this place and can't wait to come back The food portions are generous and you could definitely do family style with one or two dishes. Definitely worth checking out

Yelp
Wow! What a gem! Very reasonably priced, delicious food in a scrupulously clean, nicely decorated restaurant. Got the lamb chenjeh with a side of grilled vegetables and gormeh sabzi, and everything was excellent. My server was attentive and quick to refill my iced tea. Will certainly be back next time I'm in town

Yelp
The food is WOW WOW WOW! I mean the flavors of the sour cherry rice and dill rice with the meats! The service is good and the ambience is wonderful! Definitely come try this place! Its like in my mind the closest thing to going to Iran! WOW! SOOOOO GOOD!!!

Yelp
First time at Kasra and loved the ambience and the interior of the restaurant. This is located in Rice Village so perfect to have a stroll before or after. The service was fantastic and they were always ready to refill our drinks and bring us more bread. For the food, we ordered the appetizer sampler with hummus, mast khair, and mast labu. The hummus was probably the best hummus I've had in terms of flavor and smooth texture and paired so well with the soft bread. The other two dips were interesting but not my favorite. For entrees, we ordered the Kubideh combo and Kasra combo. The portions were very large with rice that was fluffy and aromatic. The meats were also tender but I would have liked a bit more flavor and vegetables. This was my first time trying Persian food and was very delightfully surprised by the flavors. Will come again to try their other dishes!

Yelp
Food isn't what it use to be. I use to always come here when visiting Houston, however the last time I came the food was just off. We got the khoresh bademjoon and fesanjon as the main course. I would say the khoresh bademjoon wasn't made authentically and the chicken in the fesanjon was very dry. Service was great, but we will be going somewhere else from here on out.

Yelp
We gave our guest a selection of food and he chose Persian. Only place I could think of was Kasra. I have not been back for a while but they have never disappoint. It was around just past dinner time when we came in. Apparently, we just missed the dinner rush according to our server. Restaurant was well lighted, clean and divided into 2 sections. Staff was friendly and greeted us as we walked in. We started with the kashke bademjam (eggplant dip). It was as good as I remembered and goes very well with the freshly baked bread. I ordered the lamb shank with dill rice. It was amazingly tender and juicy. The broth was yummy! Don't think I've had one as tender (maybe except here). My wife ordered the Kasra combo with beef filet and chicken barg. Filet was perfectly cooked ) medium and chicken was very tasty. Our server dropped by often to check on us. Found out he was the grandson of the owner. Definitely will be back... saw lamb chops on the menu.

Yelp
Good Mediterranean food within the city. The service was quick and they were helpful to give suggestion when we weren't sure what to order. The inside was pretty empty when we went for a weeknight dinner, so service was very attentive. There's plenty of seatings for small or large parties. Their menu is pretty extensive so there's something for everyone!

Yelp
I haven't been to Kasra in a while. The new renovated room and bathrooms are a breath of fresh air. Inviting, open and with beautiful decor! Service was awesome and food was excellent! The hummus of course never disappoints. We love Kasra and hope to visit sooner than later!

Yelp
I got a family that is picky and not always willing to try new things. Ordered several things that I like and figure they might like. Everything was delicious and the service was friendly and exceptional. Soooo much good food.

Yelp
I'd visited this place over 25 years ago and I was totally surprised that they were still here and had expanded. I was told they are expanding again by March this year. The ambiance is so lovely here. We visited for lunch during the week. The wait staff was just amazing. I don't recall the waiter but from my observation the wait staff appears to be very attentive to all the customers as this one was. I really can't wait to visit at dinner next time. I highly recommend this restaurant for delicious and well prepared Persian food. The food here is so delicious tender and at the right temperature. I love the rice and saffron! I could eat a plate of their rice.

Yelp
Scrumptious food in here. The servings are hefty. We had Kubideh, eggplant appetizer and they are very good. Not too salty, not dry and not greasy. Prompt service despite the fact that they are obviously busy. We will be back when we are in town.

Yelp
DELICIOUS FOOD and awesome service. Maria went over and beyond to help us with our order. The Mast Labu, lamb chops were AWESOME. Adam also pulled time out to visit our table. A must go to for YUMMY food.

Yelp
Check your orders before picking it up. They often mess it up. When they messed up my order, instead of trying to fix it. They transferred me between 4 people and then finally the owner answered. He yelled at me and acted like I was just calling him to get a discount on my meal. He would not even listen to my side of the story. Do not go here, go to Avesta instead. They left out my persian salad that I ordered.

Yelp
When I came to Kasra I wanted something that felt authentic and tasted delicious. This restaurant did not disappoint. You were greeted with taftoon bread and a fresh salad even before making an order. I added some hummus to dip my bread. All of this was excellent. For my main I had a gheymeh with grilled chicken. Outstanding. The ambience was pleasant and the service was quick and attentive. This would be a great spot to go with a group and eat family style so you can sample a bunch!

Yelp
Recently have gone back several times and each time the food was a hit. Love the the new renovations and my taste buds are excited once again. The old Kasra flavors are back and they are a hit.
