Very good place to enjoy bengali cuisine. Food was really tasty. We ordered- Plain Rice Yellow Bengali style daal Jhuro Aluvaja (highly recommend) Posto bora (average) Mochar Ghonto ( Super dish) Daab Chingri (Delicious) Parse Shorshe (very nice) Price was decent not too costly. Their serving style was very cosy. Served on banan leave Metal Plates Kansa Thala. Very traditional. and wait time for food is also decent. comapred to other benhali cuisine restaurant this stands up to thw top for sure. customer service is also very nice. Must recommended.

Great place to have some bengali thalis. We had two thalis, one normal fish thali and one pabda shorshe maharaja thali. The thali's were quite filling and we loved the local bengali taste. The pabda shorshe was exactly how I would have imagined it. We also ordered prawn cutlets and chilli fish as well. The prawn cutlets were amazing. I went there with kids and the kids loved the Pineapple Smoothie, although I think it was a bit too sweet. We went a bit early for lunch, so we got place easily. The restaurant got crowded as we started heading out.

It was authentic to die for Bengali food...we tried mostly fish and prawn dishes. The small fish, hilsa and paturi were amazing! The dal and aloo bhaja with the lemon was authentic! Hygiene wise not so great...old building not well kept! Reatins the old world look and feel

Whenever i visit Kolkata, I always make sure to have a thali or a dish here. The ambiance is simple with people full most of the time. The menu has a wide range of items. My personal favourite is the prawns. Just love it. Basanti pulao with chicken curry/ kosha is also a must try. Do visit if you love authentic bengali food

This is a late review! I took my non Bengali extended family and friends for lunch after a hectic exhausting sight seeing and with extreme hunger in late October '25. They were coming to Calcutta for the first time and the responsibility was bestowed upon me to take them to a good traditional Bengali restaurant. After a lot of apprehensions I finalized on Kasturi. The location was somewhat tricky but we managed. The 8 of us got a table on the ground floor and after quickly deciding on the menu the order was placed. It was my first time at Kasturi as well and to our utter satisfaction each of the dishes we had ordered was served well freshly made and tasted super delicious! Right from the lemonade, fish fingers, diamond fish fries, to the dal, jhuri aloo bhaja, hilsa, katla kalia, bhetki paturi thali, chicken kosha all were so good that we repeated almost everything for a second serving! We left the place with full tummies and happy hearts. Highly recommended for anyone who wishes to try authentic bengali cuisine at a very reasonable price. Must admit, it exceeded our expectations. Forgot to click photos as we were too busy gorging on the sumptuous meal!

Very good food quality.... Service is also outstanding.... Atmosphere is top notch....... Behavior of every staff js cordial..... Management is well maintained..... Washroom is also very clean...
