I was craving some Japanese ayce and this place popped up. When I walked in, I thought their decor overall was pretty inviting. Potted flowers outside and when you went inside, the layout was also pretty nice as well. It gave me the rustic feel but welcoming.
The problem with this place is probably their food. It was my first time and I did the all you can eat...I ordered a couple types of salads, it was okay. The miso soup was super plain and watery. I ordered their fried rice, seafood tempura, spicy crab rolls and a couple shrimp tempura rolls...and yeah, it was an interesting experience. The fried rice came in a large mound ...my experience in other places is that the portions should be smaller especially for an all you can eat. This place was super generous with their portions....the only problem is that it tasted salty and mostly tasted like soy sauce. Yeah, it was not good at all. Oh forgot, I also ordered their fried teriyaki chicken...dang, that was salty too. Today I think I must have overdosed on my limit of salt intake. The spicy crab rolls were plain and didn't taste very good...I ended up asking myself, should I force myself to eat something so gross or should I just pay the extra $1 per piece, I decided on just paying more instead of eating something that will probably make me sick later.
Overall, I am sorry, this place is probably not the best place to "enjoy " Japanese or sushi...but definitely a great place to sit down and have drinks or something. I am giving this place between and 2 and 3 stars because the server was kind and the environment...but most likely the 2 stars because of the food. I truly cannot give this place a 3 stars. I would recommend cutting down on salt and maybe add a little more sugar. The portion size should be cut down to fit the all you can eat...unless you want to waste food. Dang, the teriyaki was super salty...I can't even taste the sweetness of the sauce. My kidneys are crying right now.
