Google
Great place for breakfast and lunch. I particularly like the crab Benedict, the French toasts, the apple & Brie omelette and the frittatas. There are several other good choices on the menu as well. The pastry case is also well worth a look. Service is excellent - fast, friendly and efficient. The space is nicely decorated and comfortable. Parking is normally readily available since the restaurant that shares the lot is closed when Katherine's is open.

I’ve eaten at Katherine’s and have never been disappointed so decided it was time to try their catering. I ordered quiche and pastries to serve at my SIL’s baby shower and Katherine’s went above and beyond in every way! They were fast, efficient, and knowledgeable. The quiche came with clear instruction on how to reheat and serve, the croissants were beautiful and delightful! I was blindly picking random dessert pastries from the case, fully expecting to drop a couple hundred and instead they offered to make me an assortment of petit fours on the spot for less than $100 as long as I had an extra 15 minutes. Fabulous service and delightful, authentic French patisserie. They are also one of the few places in Denver that still serve a proper cappuccino (IYKYK)! Thank you Katherine’s!

I was visiting Denver for my birthday. I was in desperate need for a pastry. After being very disappointed at a different bakery, we stumbled into Katherine's close to closing hoping to find something left. To my surprise, the bakery had A very kind and helpful staff, an energetic and personable owner and a wide selection. I picked almost one of everything and when we were checking out I cried with relief that I would get a beautiful treat for my birthday! Everything was absolutely wonderful and beautiful and I ate the entire box by myself over the course of 2 days. Highly recommend 10 out of 10.

Google
I ordered a pear and chicken salad for $19+ (w/ tax) and was surprised to see it was served with canned pears. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning again and it’s sad to see other’s reviews b/c this restaurant like many others have been through a lot. But the current energy and food are no longer worth supporting.

Google
Absolutely divine, stopped by and got some treats . The pineapple coconut tart was delicious and the chocolate eclairs were amazing, fluffy enough with perfect amount of cream and not overpowering chocolate flavor. I can’t wait to come back and try something new! I got 5 treats for about 25$ , definitely well worth it. Fast service and clean space . Go check them out!

My sister and I stopped here for a quick late breakfast and enjoyed every bite of it. We had eggs Benedict, quiche and lemon tartlene . All the items were delicious , the service was fast and the atmosphere was casual.

It's the second time I go to this place. The attention was always good. I have only had breakfast and I must say that the prices are too high for what they give.

Google
On a Sunday morning, the place did get a little busy but a very pleasant crowd. Service was great. My omelette was cooked perfectly, unfortunately not well done enough for me and that's on me. I could've specified that I like my eggs as dry as cardboard. Seating is very open and tight. Not a place for private conversations but otherwise good atmosphere.

Yelp
I had the chance to visit Denver and this place made the experience even better. I was able to try their espresso (which I found it hard to find good espresso in Denver), banana Nutella crepe, and their apple/brie omelette. The food and service was amazing. Definitely a 10/10 experience. When I visit Denver again, this restaurant will be my first stop for good coffee and fresh food!

Yelp
What a great day to sit in the patio at Katherine's. If there wasn't so much noise that's coming from University, this would be a perfect spot to feel like dining in a cafe in Paris. The background music at the right volume soothed me. I met up with a friend of mine at this place for a brunch at 10:30am on a Saturday. From the past experience, I knew it might be hard to grab a table during the peak time in the morning especially on a Saturday. I needn't worry; there were a good number of tables available inside and outside. This place has everything: from benedicts to crepes to quiches to French toasts to fruit cups to salads, I mean you name it. Out of so many items on the menu, my friend and I went with crepes. I went with Boulder (crepe). It's got sauteed mushrooms, caramelized onions, spinach, haystack goat cheese, sun-dried tomatoes. I asked for an addition of one-egg scrambled. My friend went with Breakfast (crepe) (bacon, egg and cheese) with avocado addition. Just so you know, they have both savory and sweet crepes. My crepe was amazingly good; A little tanginess that comes from the sun-dried tomatoes did the magic by adding a great flavor to the entire dish. And both hers and mine crepes were a good size (we couldn't finish it so we asked for boxes.) Now, this place got busy after 11:30am. It took such a long time before our waitress got us the boxes and the bill (because she was busting her bottom.) We were very understanding of it; it appeared a little short-staffed and fortunately, we had time. We, of course, stopped by at the display of cakes and pastries to look at before walking away from the restaurant. Everything looked amazing but I went with the lemon tart. My friend got her a chocolate croissant. There was a huge display of Eiffel Tower built with Lego pieces (which had a sign that said "Do not touch"); I took a picture of it. Cookies that are shaped like Eiffel Tower were very cute.

Yelp
4.5 stars out of 5. Parking may be a little difficult to find. They have a lot that may be close to full. The ambiance was nice and clean. The service was professional. The food was excellent. We ordered a cappuccino and chai latte. The drinks were enjoyable. We ordered a full croissant sandwich and a full omelette. The croissant was made to perfection. The sandwich was excellent. My wife enjoyed the omelette very much. Quality over quantity. We also enjoyed the Swan Choux for dessert. It was delicious.

Sara K.

Yelp
Went on Friday morning around 9 and they weren't that busy. Quick friendly service and delicious food. Had the scrambled egg breakfast and a cappuccino, and got a pack of the French macarons on my way out. Definitely recommend this place. I will be back to try more of their desserts and pastries.

Yelp
I really wanted to love Katherine's, as it's one of the only French style bakeries around, but unfortunately, I found it underwhelming. Restaurant is small, but not overly crowded, which is a plus. Came for a late lunch and it took a few minutes to get seated but nothing crazy. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich on a croissant with a side of pasta salad. The chicken salad was okay, but nothing special. I was hoping for a more flavorful experience, but it was comparable to any grocery store deli, really. The croissant was buttery and delicious, which salvaged the meal. The pasta salad was very dry, and I wanted to ask for extra dressing, but the server wasn't anywhere to be found. Given the lackluster experience thus far, I opted against getting dessert, mainly because I didn't want to be disappointed again after my lunch, but maybe that's where they shine. I'll have to try again and just get a pastry.

Yelp
AMAZING!! The food was so good. Me and my roommate dined in. You can definitely tell this is a family owned place because you can tell they care and you can taste it as well. Staff is so nice and very knowledgeable about the menu and give great recommendations tailored to what you may like. Very calm and cute environment. Highly recommend to bring friends and family here! Keep in mind it is small family owned place, wouldn't recommend for large parties.

Jeremy M.

Yelp
Ordered the hash brown omelet. Boiled, shredded potatoes that were neither brown nor fried. Very disappointing as the hash browns were supposed to be the star of the dish. So many onions that the entire dish was overpowered by them.

Lisa R.

Yelp
We went here on a Sunday morning and let me just start with it's a very, very busy spot. Lots of seated diners and a solid line of folks waiting to get their to-go order in. The staff working here are efficient and kept the line moving. It was our first time at Katherine's and I'm split on whether or not to make this a frequent spot for us. We had their plain croissant, meringue stick cookie, blueberry almandine tart, breakfast sausage quiche, and their cinnamon roll croissant. Everything was good, but nothing that knocked our socks off, but maybe I didn't get their best seller? Overall, it's good, but I can't say it was excellent.

Megan H.

Yelp
Had an excellent chicken sandwich here today! The multigrain bread is so tasty and chewy. I got French onion soup too but really did not like it unfortunately. I couldn't eat it - there was an herb or flavor that was super off putting. But everything else looked so good I figured it's still a 5-star spot :) I'll be back to try another sandwich!

Eli L.

Yelp
Went around noon and they were out of croissants. Our server was new so things took a bit longer to get. My sandwich had hard avo so I had to take it out. My coffee cup was so small that after 3 sips it was out. I sat at the patio which was nice and pleasant. I'll definitely go again maybe a bit earlier this time.

Lisa J.

Yelp
Wonderful Quiche we order the whole quick for my parents who can't get out much and they don't live by a French bakery like Katherine's

Elise M.

Yelp
I stopped in for an oatmilk chai latte (which was fantastic, very cinnamon-y) and also tried the plane Jane crepes with cinnamon sugar, which were also great. I love the cute and casual atmosphere here and the service was very fast. There was also plenty of parking in the lot on a Sunday. My only complaint is that it did seem slightly overpriced, but I will definitely still be coming here again.

Andrea S.

Yelp
Katherine's French bakery knocked our anniversary pavlova out of the park! Perfectly crispy meringue, smooth cream, and fresh fruit to top it all off. My husband was thrilled! They also went above and beyond by upgrading the size of our pavlova for free! So darn kind of them. We will for sure be back to try more of their delicious looking desserts/bakery items.

Michael M.

Yelp
I am totally addicted to their croissants, especially the almond, but the others are also excellent including the ham and cheese. I also love the quiche, especially the goat cheese, quiche, and quiche Lorraine. They are definitely worth the trip such a wonderful and friendly place and a great spot to stop for breakfast or brunch. I failed to mention the tarts which are also made from hand and wonderful..

Lisa L.

Yelp
Katherine's is an absolutely lovely place to come for breakfast, lunch, or dicious treat! The staff are sweet, kind and genuinely friendly and you feel like you've walked into a little French patisserie. The sandwiches are delicious but so are the sweets--and I've tried many! One of my fav spots in Denver.

John P.

Yelp
Katherine's is a delight. We have been here several times for breakfast and lunch. The menu is filled with a wide variety of delicious items - quiches, sandwiches, salads, crepes, tartes, etc. -- so many is hard to choose. Coffee is excellent. Desserts displayed in the case just inside the door are irresistible. Step over from your table and try to pick just one! Service is warm, friendly, and quick. The dining room is pretty, and prices are reasonable. Treat yourself or a friend anytime. A lovely choice for an occasion like a birthday, Mother's Day, or a guest from out-of-town. They cater, too!

Hunter A.

Yelp
Would not recommend. Found this in my coleslaw, didn't get much remorse from the wait staff. Totally screwed!

Linda R.

Yelp
Our friend who works in the area suggested Katherine's for brunch, and he was right on target. We sat outside, abd it wasn't too hot because they have tables with umbrellas. They offer brunch everday which is nice. I ordered tge Challah French Toast with bananas soaked in rum and whipped cream. It was delicious, and I had extras to take home. On the way out we ordered two chocolate croissants for breakfast the next day.

Anu J.

Yelp
We had the smoked salmon frittata and the turkey sandwich along with the hummus wrap. All of them were great. The coleslaw that was served with the sandwich was excellent. The fresh fruit tart was perfect along with the pavlova. Highly recommend this great cafe.

Katie W.

Yelp
Cafe is nice. Staff is nice. Music is nice. Parking is nice. Coffee was nice. Croissant with smoked salmon was nice.

Tara V.

Yelp
Amazing quiche, croissants and and desserts. The people are so friendly and fun. I've always gotten to go so don't have experience with sitting down but I'm sure it's amazing.

Herlinda L.

Yelp
The pastries are fresh and they warm up your quiche. The servers are very attentive and the owner comes to speak to you. I love sitting inside and in the patio.

Alejandra G.

Yelp
BEWARE!! I dont frequent cafe's often but I decided to visit this one so i could get some studying done. when i approached the front counter and asked about their menu items the gentleman upfront was very rude and impatient with me. I dont drink coffee often and im from another country so i was having a hard time understanding the man. I ended up leaving sad and feeling disregarded, i just didn't understand and i felt helpless, i wont be coming back:,(

Angie R.

Yelp
It was cute. The staff you could tell was short handed but we still managed to have a decent experience. They take resv which is nice. There's plenty of parking and the food and coffee was good- can't complain. I think we'll give it another go when we're in the area.

Artemis B.

Yelp
I brought my visiting sister in for caps and croissants as I had told her how wonderful k's is for crepes and croissants etc. however, huge however, we waited a very long time for said items. Being Covid and understanding restaurants huge challenges, we were patient and waited without complaint. When we were served my sister asked a very polite question and. Mario screamed at us. The restaurant was full and Eone stopped eating and stared. We were both stunned and shocked and left. We left while he was still humiliating us. We were so shaken I could not drive. My sister cried. We sat for quite a while until we stopped shaking. One of the most humiliating and terrible experiences I've ever ever had. My sister was truly traumatized. A zero star would be more appropriate. Will NEVER return. I'm a marketing director and I have shared our experience with others. So sad for you Kathryn.

Shyanne S.

Yelp
The food is amazing. The desserts are even better. The staff are fast and kind. If you are in the area stop in for a visit. I highly recommend their challah French toast, key lime tart, and lemon meringue tart. Their coffee is also lovely. I can't say enough about them!

Robert C.

Yelp
Stopped for breakfast. Had quiche and a crepe. Both were fresh delicious and presented well. I will return. Highly recommend this place

Nomin A.

Yelp
The food looks good but doesn't taste good. I would say just normal, nothing special. Almond croissant was okay too, the outside wasn't that crispy and it he filling was too much. I had a latter which was average too. Overall 2-3 stars.

James T.

Yelp
Hector, our server from Venezuela, made us feel like royalty during our lunch at Katherine's. He enhanced our experience by being calm yet attentive, gracious and polite We enjoyed our quiche with leek & a sumptuous chicken salad, plus endless coffee, all at good-value Their space felt just right for us, large table but easy to converse back & forth even though on a busy Saturday

Abby G.

Yelp
I ordered kings cakes here for a Mardi Gras event! Wow they were beautiful and delicious. The phone ordering process was easy too. The pickup process was great and the final product was so delicious and beautiful! We will be back to try other pastries and coffee, and definitely again for our king

Steven S H C.

Yelp
Solid four stars to stop for coffee and enjoy light entry. Definitely cafe atmosphere with the table side service which is a big plus. Upon entering, you can check out the selection of quiches and croissant and other desserts. We got seated right away and our server was fast and at the same time, not hurrying us. Coffee was great, food was good. For breakfast, it was bit pricey but I'm sure real estate isn't cheap. Turkey in my croissant sandwich was straight out of lunch meat package. Not good. Overall it was great place to try for breakfast and lunch. one thing, the way they placed so many tables, felt bit claustrophobic

J M.

Yelp
My family and I visited for a fun family brunch, but when we walked in were met by an abrasive man named Mario. He was extremely impatient with us as we ordered and chose our pastries. The eggs Benedict, French toast, and sandwiches were extremely overpriced for such okay food. The hollandaise was not seasoned well and the other food was soggy. Mario was very snappy with us as we checked out since we split checks. The pastries were good though.

Caitlin L.

Yelp
took my mom here who suggested we find quiche and fruit for breakfast and they did not disappoint! loved the friendly, quick service too.

Laurie S.

Yelp
Why would you seat us to announce we have five minutes to order because the kitchen closes. Super rude, you could just tell us your closed, instead of being like, you better hurry up.

Ivan N.

Yelp
I hate quiches, I despite them, they always draw me in to try them and keep remembering why I hate them. Katherine's Chicken Jalapeno Quiche is the best I had so far. I actually enjoyed it. If everyone was to follow suit, it would be a much better world to live. Their coffee was dandy, their service was friendly, and the place is very nice. Thank you for making my Friday much more joyful. Wish the slice was a tad bigger, they intentionally get you to come back. *wink*

Hunter M.

Yelp
Dude. This place is good. Like really good. And not too pricey either. Safe to say I'll be coming back! Yum !

Kimberly A.

Yelp
What a lovely neighborhood cafe and bakery. The people watching here is a comforting experience - ladies grabbing brunch, older men and women running in to gather their regular to go items. I ordered a SAUSAGE QUICHE W/FRUIT as well as a CHALLAH FRENCH TOAST w CARAMELIZED RUM BANANA TOPPING. The filling on the quiche is amazingly fluffy and flavorful. The quiche crust is nice and tender but slightly underdone. The french toast is yummy but the alcohol from rum was not cooked off completely so I had to push those to the side. Service here is definitely with a smile. Try it out!

Incog N.

Yelp
Had to walk out after waiting 10 minutes to get a menu after being seated (4/23/22) We asked for menus, never got them. No water. Table was still dirty after being "wiped down." Understaffed. Not friendly as is normally the cases. Perhaps they should stick to take out and no table service. Will not be back. Too bad, great coffee.

Morgan S.

Yelp
They make cakes fresh everyday! This chocolate mousse cake was so moist and savory! We got this cake for my friends birthday! The chocolate cake is moist and has a great chocolate taste! The mousse is a little watery. The frosting on top is whipped cream so that was a delightful twist (I'm so use to buttercream frosting). There was a little too much mousse so it over whelmed the cake but it was still delicious! I can't wait to try more flavors from them!

Marsha M.

Yelp
To put it simply, I did not feel welcomed here. I am a woman of color who came into the shop with my partner, and upon ordering we were coldly met with the assumption that we would have our goods to go. We accepted coyly, assuming they were closing soon. However, this was not the case. The quiche was fine, and the eclair was tasty. However, any baked treat is soured by rude service. I will not be back and do not recommend; there are plenty of other bakeries in town that value newcomers and all types of people.

Fairlight S.

Yelp
Stopped in for breakfast. I have to start by saying that the service is phenomenal our waiter had great positive energy. The espresso was good and I really enjoyed the salad with their lime dressing. The other breakfast entrees we got were just okay.

Jen T.

Yelp
Katherine's is an absolute gem. My sister in law frequents the bakery and sits with her dog on the patio. She was excited for me to try it. I'm on a strict diet so at first I was disappointed I couldn't try the special - baked apple crepes. However, I spoke with our waiter (who happened to be the owner - Mario) who helped me decide on the sweet potato hash, scrambled eggs and bacon with fresh fruit. I loved that everything was fresh and the fruit was high quality berries. I will be back next time I'm in town to visit - and when I'm no longer on a diet!

Allie R.

Yelp
Love the quiche and other bakery items, but I do think their prices are pretty high. The restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. The service is not great. In our most recent visit the waitress put in the order wrong. Had to ask for every single thing. You should know to bring out hot sauce when someone orders eggs. Had to flag down waitress for an ice tea refill. That being said, I think from now on I'll just take it to go.

Ciara Y.

Yelp
Ever since going to France I have been a lover of croissants. This bakery is my favorite! The almond croissant hits home every time, it's soft and sweet and crunchy all in one. I could eat one of these every day. The quiches are also quite nice as well. Very soft and not too eggy!

Katie H.

Yelp
A French cake was requested by an out of town guest at relatively the last minute and Katherine's came through! I snuck over here at 7am on a Tuesday and snagged a cake, I don't know when it was baked which given they're closed on Mondays I was concerned it may have been 2 days old, but it was a hit! Tasted great, I'd order from here again no doubt. Also grabbed 2 slices of quiche for breakfast that morning, they were perfect. Definitely a great spot.

CityGirl K.

Yelp
For a party we ordered a variety of food from this bakery. Bacon Cheese Quiche, Mushroom Spinach Quiche, Pavlova Cake, Chocolate Mousse Cake, Pear Galettes, Grand Marnier filled cream puffs, a variety of different Tarts and Linzer Cookies. Everything was delicious and super fresh tasting. The tarts were on par with the ones I had in France, they were perfectly made! We will definitely order for events here again and we look forward to trying more of their yummy food!

Felipe P.

Yelp
It's not up for debate. Either you do or you don't know French pastries. These are and ridiculously Fab! No move your tail and getyasome

Charlotte T.

Yelp
amazing peach melba cake with great fresh fruit and perfect real whipping cream, for my mom's birthday cake and we all couldn't get enough, never using any other bakery!!!!

Sarah M.

Yelp
I had the crab eggs Benedict and it was absolutely delicious. It was on brioche toast. I had dessert with my breakfast- a wonderful Napoleon- the filling was heavenly. The service was exceptional.

Scott P.

Yelp
Our friends took us to this place for Sunday brunch. We enjoyed the atmosphere and food. I had a quiche and salad. The crust was outstanding, and I was very happy with the quality of all ingredients. The place was quite busy, so we had a short wait for a table. There were several items in the glass display that looked fantastic. I probably should have bought a couple of pastries to take home. I enjoyed my visit. When I walked out, I told my wife that I was still hungry. I'm a big eater, and French brunch is a small slice of quiche which doesn't fill me up.
