Best Frozen or Fresh Dumplings for Takeout in Seattle | Eater Seattle

"Shoreline’s stellar Nepalese food purveyor has been a hit at local farmers market stands and a variety of local pop-ups, selling dumplings stuffed with chicken, beef, or pork (vegan and gluten-free options are also available, plus frozen versions can be ordered in bulk). Open for takeout through the commissary kitchen’s website and delivery via DoorDash." - Eater Staff

Had the 10 Beef & Pepperjack Cheese Momo's from this place Mostly, it was pretty solid. The momos are on the larger side - so 10 of them is a lot of food. Each one comes shaped and wrapped well, with a ball of ground beef on the inside The wrapping was decent - it managed to hit the mix between being dry and way too wet. Each momo felt like it had a bit too much dough though I liked the ground beef balls. They had some fat to them, were seasoned pretty well, and retained some juice. The beef was probably my favorite part of this dish On the downside, the cheese in the name was completely missing. There might have been hints of it at points, but this might as well just have been Beef Momos - as there was basically zero pepperjack cheese at all to be found. This contributes to my second point - which is that these felt quite empty once you got past the wrapper, excepting for the beef. There just wasn't anything in addition to the meat in this What I did like though, was the hot sauce. This was very cilantro-forward, and quite pleasantly spicy. For the price of around $19, it's somewhat expensive - but 10 momos do give you around 100g ground beef, and the momos themselves are still large Also the complimentary mango pudding was nice, but I can't say I liked it that much Overall, it's a fine place for momos, and probably worth a stop, but nothing to write home about. 7.25/10

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Delicious momos! I got some from their food truck at the Urban Craft Uprising Gobble Up food festival in South Lake Union. Perfect ratio of meat to wrapper and delicious seasonings. Generous size. The medium sauce has a nice kick to it without being too much. Overall, highly recommend!

Google
I was trying to find a food to eat near where i was staying found them through a different search media where it was a food truck. It is an actual brick and mortar store. Very well decorated and various Nepalese theme decorations were there. When you come in, there is a self serve kiosk where you can place the order. Everything has a picture next to it. Once you finalise you need to add your buzzer number sitting next to the kiosk in order to make sure you get the food. Pretty smart idea. You get the food very fast. I did to go food. The momos were very good, enjoyed them and the noodles I think to my taste were a little strong with all the veggies and flavours. But overall loved the ambience and friendliness of the people there.

Google
Vegan momos were average in taste. The hot sauce was just full of red chilies but not really spicy. Overall the momos were not flavourful.

Cute place. Vibes of Kathmandu are real. Nice staff. I am taking out Vegan Jhol Momos. Hope they are as cute as this cute little restaurant. 🫶🌸😌 Thanks for having this here in SLU. We get to enjoy new culture!

Google
We recently visited Kathmandu Momocha and had an amazing experience! We tried the chicken momo, vegan momo, and Himalayan fries, and everything was delicious. The momo were incredibly juicy, fresh, and full of flavor. You can really tell they are made with care and quality ingredients. The vegan momo were just as tasty as the chicken ones. The Himalayan fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned, a great side to go along with the momos. Out of all the places we've tried, these are truly the best momos in Seattle. We will definitely be coming back again soon. Highly recommend this spot to anyone craving authentic and flavorful Nepali food!

Google
This was my first time trying Nepalese street food, so I don’t have much baseline for comparison. I ordered the lunch combo and fried dumplings. The filling was good and tasty, and I really liked the hot cilantro dipping sauce. It was spicy and really elevated the taste of the dumplings. However, the dough wrapper could be thinner, as it felt a bit too separated from the filling. The mango lemonade tasted a little funny, but it wasn’t a big deal. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable. I couldn’t even finish my meal!

Google
First off, their customer service was amazing! They answered every call I made before their food truck arrived today and even called me when they were five minutes away to make sure we removed the cones we had reserved for them. About an hour into serving, the owner personally called to check in, which genuinely surprised me—I’ve never had a business follow up like that to ensure both their staff and the food were up to standard. The food was absolutely delicious, packed with great flavor! My residents especially loved the sauce. The Himalayan fries were the top seller, and the cheese balls got a lot of praise as well. We’re already looking forward to having them back next month so we can finally try their mango lassi and mango lemonade! I’ll definitely be visiting their restaurant in person soon. Huge shoutout to the chef for handling so many orders for a community of over 500 residents—truly impressive!

Yelp
I've been to the food truck in the farmer's market and it is amazing! I've tried the vegan and chicken momos and they're both so lovely and flavorful, and adding the spicy sauce adds an extra kick! Perfect for a cold day in Seattle, an amazing comfort food. This place keeps me coming back to the farmer's market every week!

Yelp
Great food truck MoMos! I ordered the pork MoMos with medium sauce - they were perfectly cooked and wonderfully flavored. The guy working the truck was very friendly. He even let us know what their most popular order was (cheese balls). The truck seemed clean and even provided sanitizer.

Yelp
This review is for their food truck at Infinity farm farmers market! we bought the Chicken Momos. They were delicious momos and the mild sauce was amazing! Good friendly staff and quick order!

Yelp
I discovered this food truck when I went to Fremont solstice fair this summer. I have always loved momos. Me and my friend got the vegetarian momos with medium and hot sauce. They were so so good, liked the flavor of medium sauce better than hot sauce. I highly recommend this place and I will be back to this place again soon.

Yelp
I tried their food truck out today and unfortunately it was the most disgusting dumplings or momocha I've ever had. I ordered vegetables and meat momocha and it came up to $25 which was quite expensive for just 10 pieces. First of all the momochas were cold. The skin of both momochas were soggy at the bottom and dry at the top and the meat inside was very bland. I'm guessing that they over steamed the buns. I will never go back again, not even to their restaurant.

Yelp
Oh my god, this food is good. These guys are at most of the Seattle farmer's markets, and it's always my go to. They have a great vegan momocha with amazing sauces. The wait can be pretty long depending on the market, but it's worth it in my opinion. I haven't been to their physical location yet. Also! They sell frozen momochas you can take home and make yourself which we've done a few times.

Yelp
It smelled so good when we walked into the restaurant that I forgot to take pictures until we were almost done. The food is delicious. The service was really good and they had green smiley health department sign. Well this is in Seattle. It is in the middle of the Amazon tech hub and the company has private security keeping the area safe. Check this place out if you're in Seattle or if you just wanna try food from Nepal. I recommend the french fries, the vegetable fritters and the chicken noodle dish. But on the noodle dish, skip cilantro, if that's not your jam. They do have a lunch special and a bathroom for customers.

Asmita T.

Yelp
Probably one of my worst experiences with momo. We ordered chicken momo. Fillings were very bland, the wrapper was thick, and the supposed momo sauce was a far cry from authentic momo achar. It barely amounted to two tablespoons and tasted like dry red chili flakes. No tanginess, no spiciness, no freshness whatsoever. Worst momo sauce I have ever encountered! Given the hefty price tag for just 10 pieces, I was incredibly disappointed. Pls save your money and appetite for something better!

Yelp
Chicken Momocha: The meat inside was absolutely delicious! We got the mild sauce and it complemented the chicken momocha perfectly. Details about the food truck: There were a few people in front of us, and the wait for our food was less than 10 minutes. They had a box-full of plastic forks which I wished were individually wrapped, but I guess it cuts down on waste.
google avatar

Mildred J.

Yelp
Ordered from their foodtruck. Ultra bland food... I wouldn't order again. Not recommended.
google avatar

Laur L.

Yelp
Initially I was like, "almost $20 for eight momos and some cheese ball?? What?!" But I couldn't take my eyes off these juicy meat-filled dough pillows!! And tbh I don't regret ordering them. If I lived in the area I'd buy their frozen ones in bulk. They do not skimp on filling. And while I like heat, I actually went with their medium sauce because it was the most garlicky. The flavours are very unique, and you actually feel like you're getting a taste of Nepal. Btw, check out their website. This biz is doing pretty cool things for the Seattle community.

Sanjog K.

Yelp
The food is just bland. This is nowhere close to being an authentic Nepalese momo/dumpling experience as they market. The filling lacked flavor, and the dough was super thick and tasted goey, a sign of it being stale. Will not recommend.

Yelp
Decided to try this spot on a Friday evening for dinner! I ordered ahead online, and was given an estimated pickup time of 20 minutes. When I got to the restaurant, it was not too crowded at all. It's a smallish storefront with around 6 tables, and it is more of a cafe where you place your order, grab your own utensils and napkins, and bus your own table. Very cute space. The person working let me know that it would take about two more minutes, and quite soon after, I got my order! So no complaints about timing, it came out at approximately the time that was predicted, especially as she was clearly putting together a ton of takeout/delivery orders. They also have 3 types of sauces (mild, medium, hot) and I decided to get the "hot". The momos I got were quite good! The beef and pepper Jack were quite flavorful, and the hot sauce was a nice touch, though not necessary since the momos were good on their own with the meat. Next time I'd love to try the chicken, which unfortunately they were sold out of when I went. Will be back!

Yelp
Found them while roaming around SLU Saturday Market. Not much options for vegetarians. Not at all crowded when we came. All of their momos were allready steamed, they just poured in their sauces. Which made the service quick. We ordered their:- Vegan momos- Nice filling of vegetables, had they given the option for pan fried of just fried, the flavor would have been better. On the whole good momos. On the pricier side, which is everything these days.
google avatar

Aditya P.

Yelp
One liner: authentic food with great vibes but definitely pricey. $18 per person. This cozy joint is in a bustling SLU office area and has lovely nepali style food. The restaurant is decorated to give you Kathmandu vibes and the food is definitely delicious. The staff was friendly and prompt. I like their token system where it vibrates when the food is ready. I ordered the vegan momo/dumpling meal and it was delicious. I will definitely be going back there at some point. Parking may be difficult here if you don't have access to the Amazon parking garages.
google avatar

Nausheen D.

Yelp
Tried their SLU restaurant - may be it was super hyped up in my mind since I had been wanting to try them for a while but when I finally did try it, it felt like they served decent momos but not great - I felt that the outer cover lacked salt. Their chutneys with the momos were on point though. We also got their cheese balls and that definitely was the best I have had in a while.
google avatar

D S.

Yelp
The hot sauce is extremely flavorful but sneaks up on you. The location is perfect if you are in SLU & want some great vegan options. The staff is great, the location is clean and well decorated with authentic Nepalese culture represented everywhere you look.
google avatar

Nishika T.

Yelp
Momos are my favorite food and so when a new Nepali place opens in Seattle, I am always the first to try it! I have never actually heard the "Momocha" name before as I always thought it was just "momo". But never the less it was still tasty! I ordered for pickup and took it home to eat. We bought a bunch of momos and asked for extra sauces but felt they were a bit stingier with the sauces compared to other momo places. I like to have a lot of sauce so this was a bit sad. One thing I noticed right away is that the momo are a bit puffier than the ones I am used to. Specifically I think the dough is a bit puffier, making it more filling.

Yelp
This is a review for their food truck. I tried them out at the summer solstice festival. I waited in line for 40+ minutes and then waited another hour to get my order. So many people were annoyed and wondering why it was taking so long. They seemed very overwhelmed and scattered but when I finally got my order, I was disappointed. I've had really good momos before, and this was a miss unfortunately. The dumpling wrapper was thick and doughy. You get sick of eating it after a few pieces and it comes with 10. It was certainly not worth the wait so if you see a long line, go grab something else.
google avatar

Gina L.

Yelp
Stopped by their store, and ordered some chicken momos, veggie pakora, and cheesy cheeseballs to-go; we waited about 10 min for our food to be prepared. I enjoyed the chicken momos - they were nicely seasoned (moreso than the typical Chinese/Korean dumpling), with a delicious chuteney (varying spice level) for dipping. The veggie pakora is best eaten first to maintain crispiness; I airfried any leftovers, and they were still pretty good. The cheese balls were a different story - pretty greasy, as they were a sponge for oil. Probably would not order these again, unless the batter was re-done to avoid oil absorbtion. On the pricier side, but the flavors were there! Overall a 3.5, and would likely come back to satisy a momo/pakora craving if in the area.
google avatar

Chara C.

Yelp
So good! A tad pricey but so is everything else around Seattle these days. Love their momos - they have a delicious flavor. If you've never tried momos or nepalese food, they're like dumplings, shaped like xiao long bao (but without the soup), crossed with indian flavors - such as spices used in curry.

Yelp
Had an excellent experience here. I was staying in Seattle for a wedding at the hotel down the street from here. I have never had Himalayan food before so I thought why not? Well, I had no idea where to start so I asked the nice gentleman that was working there what he recommended. He recommended the pork dumplings and the cheese balls. So I ordered them and waited for take out. Service was so quick and he said since I never been there before he included 2 chicken dumplings for me to try. He was so incredibly nice and I walked out of there excited to try his food. When I got back to the hotel, I cracked these beauties open and when I say it was packed with favor, boy, it was great! The cheese balls were garlicy and so tasty. The man did not steer me wrong because those pork dumplings were delicious! Thank you for your good food and great recommendation!

Yelp
Kathmandu Momocha is a Himalayan, Nepalese food truck. They're based out of Shoreline and make rounds to different events so you can your small bites on while enjoying an attraction. They advertise themselves with 'All freshly handmade and from scratch.' and "Locally Sourced." Can't confirm but it was pretty good. We got some pork Mamocha dumplings which were alright. I didn't find them any better than some usual Chinese or Thai dumplings at a given restaurant. The Crispy Pakora was also alright. Crispy, battered and spiced garbanzos is a nice idea, but I didn't get too much in the way of flavor out of them. They have a handful of other options such as Dumplings: Chicken, Beef & Pepper jack, Pork & Veg, Vegan. Cheesy Cheese Balls, Himalayan Fries, that all come with their "signature sauces" labeled as - Tomato & roasted Sesame mild & Hot Garlicy red chili Sauce. which are of course "Locally Sourced" They were ok but I'm not sure you need to rush to this truck at your local event.
google avatar

Linda N.

Yelp
Are Nepalese dumplings supposed to be so strongly seasoned? Never had them before. I like having different dumplings (other than just Chinese), but these were a tad over-seasoned for me. Will have to try elsewhere and see if momos are for me. Couldn't really taste the cheese in the beef and cheese dumpling.
google avatar

Hawker C.

Yelp
A review for the food truck - ate their pork entree from a food truck at a Sunday farmers market. It was pretty awful - worse than if I bought frozen dumplings from the grocery and warmed them up myself. These were lukewarm, like they had been cooked a different day and then put in a warming oven for awhile. They don't appear handmade at all (as the truck advertises) - the bottom is marked with a grid like they'd been churned out of a factory. I don't think they are cooking at all in the truck, I think they are (barely) warming up stuff l that is mass produced elsewhere. Better off with any other option.
google avatar

Jashmin S.

Yelp
Very disappointed with the vegan Momo. Received just 5 pieces but paid for 10pcs. Picture of Momo even before eating; this is how it was given.
google avatar

Ashika G.

Yelp
I checked this place out in the hopes that "there's finally a momo's place around here!!" and was very eager! I was slightly let down by quality of the food itself. It was a small area to sit and eat (but no issues with that as there wasn't a large crowd). The food itself ranges from $15-20 per plate but offers a large portion size. I was mainly eager for the momos itself, but was let down by the thickness of the dough. Felt less authentic than most momos i've tried in the past. I also tried the fried rice which was good, but seemed like they had added too much of a maggi masala packet into it instead. I wouldn't rush back, but if there were improvements to their recipes, it's possible i'd try again. I also highly suggest doing this as a family style if you go with friends, because eating 10 momos wasn't as appetizing as getting a little bit of everything!
google avatar

Brandi C.

Yelp
Going into the farmers market unknowing of what was available, I was pleasantly surprised to find a Nepalese food business! Not only was I excited to try a sample of the vastly diverse cuisines, but it was quite sad that there wasn't too much of a wait compared to the other food trucks! First of all, the prices may come as a bit of a shock - $13.50 for ten pieces? Each piece is bite size, about four inches, but the flavor packs a punch and the texture of the Momos' (dumplings) dough is so chewy and delicious. It's worth, and it's even more worth supporting local BIPOC businesses. We got a full order of the chicken momos, half of a pork order, and their meaty french fries. Different from what people usually expect from dumplings (e.g. Cantonese, Northern Chinese, gyozas, etc.), these momos have a thicker dough shell and the chewy texture goes very well with the soft, mild fillings. Their momos are steamed in real-time, so they are definitely made and served extremely fresh so that you can enjoy the springiness and denseness of the dough while the steam is still vibrantly sustaining the skin. Both of the chicken and pork momos were extremely delicious. The business asks if you would like optional sauce toppings for each dish: spicy or mild. There's actually no difference except for color and the spicy is truly not even a one star spicy rating. In fact, it really just gives a slight tang because the flavor is diluted and not very apparent. I was disappointed with their sauces for the lack of flavor but the momos tasted great by themselves anyway. Would like to see realistic spicy options in the future... The meaty french fries don't have meat in them - instead the potatoes are super densely packed in before they're fried, substituted the usual airiness with a hearty flavor of potatoes mixed with the herbs and light salt with each bite. Everything that we tried was savory without being moderately or overtly salty or concentrated in flavor. Similarly to Cantonese food, there's a warm balance between the savory, lightness, and earthiness that keeps each dish multilayered. It was an awesome experience to try their food.

Yelp
Wow! Thank you Kathmandu Momocha for introducing me to this delicious dumpling. I am now a huge fan of momos... especially the momos here! Yummy chewy outer wrapper and delicious spiced filling. I wish I lived closer because I would definitely return for more! I'm a fan of spice and the scary looking red sauce was good to add some kick. I also love places that serve their food HOT, no lukewarm stuff here, just hot delicious and good for the soul. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Family owned restaurants, good for vegan food. They make their own fresh noodles. Amazing owner

Yelp
Wanted to try Kathmandu Momocha food truck for a while now.. Been following them ardently on Instagram to get their schedule so I can go and devour their himalayan momos (steamed dumplings).. Tried their chicken momos (the best), beef momos, veg pakoras, potato and cheese balls.. everything was really good but I personally loved their chicken momos.. the sauce gives these momos a very nice flavor and I wanted more of that sauce.. I wish they could offer different spice levels for their sauce so I could try something hotter.. Since we ordered togo the sauce was loaded in tiny containers vs sauce spread over the momos if you eat it there (this lets the momos soak up the sauce really well and enhances the taste in my opinion).. I can see myself craving these weekly so I am going to stalk their food truck schedule on Insta.. They typically are in Ballard at least twice a week next to some brewery so that gives me a nice reason to have a beer and eat momos.. Pretty authentic.. Definitely recommend these guys..

Yelp
I've never had MoMos, nonetheless Nepalese food, until I tried Kathmandu. All I can say is WOW!!!! Absolutely INCREDIBLE!! I've tried the pork, chicken, and beef and cheese and they are all fantastic. I first had Kathmandu at the university district street fair at their food stand. There was a huge line, then one of the employees let everyone know they only had beef and cheese MoMos left. The line thinned out very quickly so I got to order and tried the beef and cheese MoMos... and they were SO GOOD!!! I tried the chicken and also the pork MoMos at the U district farmers market another time and I think the beef and cheese are actually my favorite! But you can't go wrong with any. The sauces are incredible and they really load you up. They have mild, medium, and hot - I got all three. They have delicious flavor and a nice spice to them. The texture of wrapper is so delicious and chewy and the meat is very flavorful. The employees are also so kind! I wanted to try both chicken and pork MoMos but didn't want to get two ordered, so they traded out one of the MoMos in my chicken order for a pork MoMo. I really appreciated that. I go here every time I see them !

Yelp
Finally got the chance to try this food truck at Lucky Envelope! We ordered 10 chicken momos and 10 pork. They were both delicious but we both had a slight preference for the chicken. We heard good things about the Himalayan fries from fellow diners but stuck with the dumplings. They paired perfectly with our beverages and we were nice and full. Next time I need to try the beef and the vegan versions!
google avatar

Yelp
I really want to like their food but the momos are so disappointing, considering it's $17/order on Doordash. The bottom of each momo was missing, and I'm guessing they were stuck on the steamer. For someone who has had all sorts of dumplings all her life, having part of the wrapping ripped off is just not acceptable from a business that sells dumplings. The momo itself was also doughy, and they were definitely not handmade. I had the pork flavor, and all I noticed was the pepper in the filling. The sauce came on the side didn't really add to the flavor of the momos. For the quality and flavor of the momos, I personally think it's way overpriced. Never again. On the brighter side, I did enjoyed the lentil soup, though the container was laying on its side when it came
google avatar

Kyle W.

Yelp
Momos are Nepalese dumplings and usually have more spice in the filling than the regular dumpling, so your experience may vary depending on preference. I am glad that they recently opened a brick and mortar shop of this place which generally operated solely as a food truck in the past, and it is in proximity to where I live. I went here around opening and tried their lunch momo combo which has chicken momo x4, pork momo x4, and pakora x2. After tax, this was around $17.50 which is on the pricier end for a lunch meal in the area for not too much food. The pakora is fried well but has a good amount of just flour, so there is not much of the filling. I enjoyed the momos a fair bit as the filling has a lot of herbs, but they steamed it poorly. Some of the beef momos have a very soggy base which spills the filling out, leading to a subpar experience. The sauce they gave is pretty good and complements very well with the momos. Overall, I am happy there is a new decent spot in the South Lake Union area for food, but this did not really wow me that much.
google avatar

Miranda Z.

Yelp
Flavor is good. However maybe there was an issue with steaming/storage since 7/10 of the Momocha bottoms were broken. A bit disappointing that this was served directly instead of trying to make another batch since other photos of this order seem fine.
google avatar

Alan Z.

Yelp
Got food from their Food truck at the Fremont market. I really liked the sauce that they had and I think I'll try the spiciest sauce the next time. There was a little bit of the line but the dumplings themselves were worth the wait. Got the pork and they were pretty good, would definitely recommend having some kind of sauce with them though since their flavor is a little bit on the lighter side. I also liked their fries as they were really crispy and went well with the sauce too.
google avatar

Aaron C.

Yelp
Apparently it used to be a food truck, I went during the grand opening in SLU, I've never had Nepalese food before so it was a new interesting experience. With the dumplings, we had three types of sauces that were medium, mild, and hot. The sauces complimented the dumplings pretty well. Personally, I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here but it's definitely decent food. I especially loved the cheese balls? French fries were good too. I did like the rice dishes as well! There's vegetarian options too so they can partake in dumplings! There's some cool aesthetically pleasing art in there and you can enjoy the ambiance. The seating area is kind of small though so seating may be limited. I feel like it is a bit overpriced even with the fact that everywhere is overpriced but I feel like we could definitely get bigger portions. I would at least try it for the experience to see for yourself whether or not you like it.

Liwen H.

Yelp
Bit into one of the vegan momochas, and it was not spiced at all. Yes, there is choices of mild, medium, or hot sauces come with it, but I personally prefer foods are flavored and the chili sauce should be enhancing the flavor of the food. There was barely any vegetables (carrot, cabbage, and some green onions) inside which had made this very dough-y. It could be much better with varieties of flavorful vegetables. I think they just omit the meat to make it vegan and no additional thought had add to the vegan momochas. As a vegan, I think the best bet is visit vegan restaurants that already have a polished menus and tasty vegan meals. I am going to stick with 100% vegan restaurants.

Yelp
Delicious! Came for lowkey dinner and highly recommend the Chicken Momos and Potato/Cheeseball appetizer! Friendly and nice staff too.
google avatar

Khushi C.

Yelp
Doesn't look like much on the outside, but have been very curious about it for a few months now. Unfortunately it's not something extraordinary and I found it a bit overpriced. Got the vegan momocha. There are 10 pieces and I will say they are quite filling. The sauce probably was very good. The momocha itself in my opinion felt a little bland and dough-heavy. Despite asking for it to be spicy, didn't feel much spice at all. There are quite a few items on the menu, so I might go back to try other items!
google avatar

Stephanie T.

Yelp
The food truck staff were friendly. The cheese balls were deliciously seasoned and the perfect bite of creamy and salty goodness. Sadly the momo was over cooked and under seasoned. We didn't care for the sauce we received either. Go for the cheese balls but skip the momo.

Yelp
Again, thank you fellow Yelpers! Without your posts and photos to pique my interest, I would not have tried these amazing momos this evening (7/24/20). Kathmandu Momocha shares the same commissary/catering kitchen as Smokin' Pete's BBQ (I still remember their former Ballard location). Who knew tasty momos existed in a non-descript strip mall along sketchy Aurora, the ghetto part of Snoreline? I mean, Shoreline. I live nearby for nearly 18.5 years, trust me on this. After parking my car near a cannabis shop and Chinese/Korean restaurant, I cross the parking lot to their location. The Smokin' Pete's staff alert the KM presumed owner. After a brief wait while she was handing over a large order to a food delivery courier, I then placed my order with her. Very pleasant and welcoming demeanor despite both of us being masked. With incomplete facial expressions, one reads a lot from others eyes. I can tell she enjoys and wholeheartedly promotes their product line. I've had momos years ago at Everest Kitchen in Lake Forest Park and Himalayan Sherpa House in Seattle's Tangletown neighborhood. There were okay, nothing to get overly excited about though. But I love all things dumpling-like and bite sized and finally, third time's a charm with this spontaneous visit to Kathmandu Momocha. By sheer coincidence, I was at a Himalayan cafe in Lynnwood earlier for a late lunch. Kismet. The half order option (5 each for $6) works well when initially sampling and don't want to commit to a full order. Carnivores, vegetarians, vegans, and gluten free diners all have menu choices available. Fresh momos are served hot and steaming. They also come with dipping sauces. Dangerous to know their momos are also available in frozen bulk quantities! Me and The Homie shared both the pork momos and the tilapia/shrimp momos back at home. Nice ratio of protein to wrapper, chockful, juicy and flavorful with Himalayan-Tibetan-Bhutan spice and herb profile. Best eaten while fresh and hot. I was kindly given samples of the potato cheese balls and the chickpea pakoras. Light, nice crunch, not greasy. The momos and these samples were simply outstanding. I thought briefly whether I should go back before they close, yes they were that good, lol. Open only Thursdays through Sundays from 5-9pm. I definitely will plan to try other menu items, next time by walking to/from home. Missed out on the lone dessert option, Mango Kulfi, all sold out. The strip mall parking lot was pretty full when I got there an hour before closing. Better planning next time. If you're in the vicinity of 150th and Aurora, along Metro's Rapid Ride E route, stop by and checkout this farmers market and food truck favorite. Highly recommended!

Yelp
This place is incredible! I'm shocked at how little reviews it has. The to go presentation was wonderful and it was ready so quick. Dumplings are amazing. I was really impressed that they had vegetarian and vegan options. Please give this place a try, you won't be disappointed. They also offer to go frozen dumplings.

Yelp
food was very average. chicken dumplings were better than the beef. asked for mild sauce but got the food slathered in hot, which my wife couldn't eat. after 25mins wait we had waited enough. hygiene was horrible though, with lids being placed food-side face down on all the dirty surfaces, then pressed onto the food. dumplings being handled and plated by the same gloves as all the equipment. gross.

Yelp
Some of the best momos you will ever buy. Customer service is always the best. I miss their food so much, the chicken momos with a side of potatoes is my forever ordered. So delicious!

Yelp
This was my first time trying Nepalese street food, and I really enjoyed them. We visited Kathmandu MomoCha at a local farmer's market. We saw folks walking around with the dumplings and we were pulled in bc they looked and smelled delicious. We weren't too hungry so we shared a half order of the Pork MomoCha with a side of spicy sauce. I really enjoyed the beetroot dumpling, as it had a nice, subtle flavor. I enjoyed the addition of the spicy sauce, which I found to be more flavorful than "spicy". I would certainly visit them again.

Yelp
Stopped at the SLU market and got a bunch on momos here today. The Chicken and the Pork were both okayish but very dry. The vegan was terrible and extremely doughy. Overall the momos had very little flavor and extremely thick wrappers. The spicy sauce is really nice but they really skimp on it so after the first 3, the remaining 7 don't get any. Overpriced and extremely mediocre, especially if you spent most of your life eating dumplings from various countries, including a LOT of momos back home. Definitely not going back here again.

Yelp
Came in for lunch today and the place was about a quarter full. Ordered at the counter the lunch combo. I waited 30 minutes for my order to be ready. In that 30 minutes, all the customers left. I looked up and didn't see any of the line cooks at their station. They came back out and were joking around with each other. The person at the counter was also alarmed at how long my order was taking and checked in with the cooks. They asked me what I ordered and asked if I had put in an online order. I showed them my buzzer and told them I had ordered at the counter. About one minute later from that, my order was ready. No apologies at all. Not a very good first impression given all of the other lunch spots in SLU.

Yelp
To begin with, I am from Delhi and often have momos cravings! I yelped this place, and found out that they have an active instagram place. I reached out to them via Instagram, abd they were quick to respond. Tip - always check where they are rolling as they tend to be on different locations on different days. We had the vegan spinach momos and potato-cheese balls. We finished it with their chocolate brownies. I would say that the momos were amazing. Particularly their sauce(chutney) was very spicy and a near-replica of what you'd find in Delhi (and I dont say that often!) The brownies were good too. They were not sweet as you'd imagine a regular brownie to be, but its after-taste is yummm. We ended up having two of those! The potato-cheese balls were average. Definitely recommend this place for all the momos lovers in Seattle!
