We cook and serve ours authentic original flavor. You can come for a family outing, a gathering or even for a casual dinner with friends and family. "A bit of an institution, Kathmandu’s slightly sterile online photography does a disservice to the warmth and care that permeates the restaurant. Momo skins are taut and fine, with a deeply seasoned filling that fizzes with garlic and chilli, while chicken lollipops offer Flinstone-worthy clubs crackling from the fryer. Chhoyla, a Newari barbecue dish of lamb or chicken rich with cumin, chilli, and perhaps a crackle of timmur is a fine main, but a hidden star is the Malabar paratha, tissuey and rich, ready to be scraped through hariyali lamb. Was in London for a concert with family went here for food and it was a very good experience, staff were polite and freindly. Highly recommend owner was chatty and is proud and loves the restraunt. So would be happy to go again.

I visited Kathmandu restaurant with a friend yesterday. They had the best authentic Nepalese food we have ever tasted! We had chicken and lamb momos. The staff was very friendly and helpful for us to choose the best dish in their menu. We met Mr. Suren, the owner who is a very friendly individual. He sat with us for a while and talked about the Nepalese cuisine and his experiences in UK as we were new in the country. Hands down it is the best in Ealing! And we plan to visit again soon!

We were a walk-in. Service was very friendly and attentive but not overly so, just perfect. The food was delicious. There was a good choice of dishes and advice on dishes was freely given. All in all, a delightful experience and one that we’ll be happy to repeat again soon.

Food was delicious, I got a salmon curry and the sauce was really fragrant and delicate to match a salmon dish....probably one of the best fish curries I have ever had. On the downside the service was very slow. It was packed on a Saturday night, with only about 2 waiters. Perhaps they were unusually short staffed or maybe they need to hire more. The food was not over priced, good atmosphere and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend but only if you are not in a hurry!

Delicious food; right amount of spice, even for very hot dishes like vindaloo. Flavourful, fragrant and every part was good, even the chutneys. Momos were great but the gurkhali chicken was really amazing. Will be coming again

Update: NO consistency in their dishes. On 23rd march, I got a chicken chat which was very different from normal dish. Today (30th march), chicken chat was back to normal. However,the egg fried rice was plain rice mixed with badly scrambled egg (pic enclosed). Had to throw it away. Earlier review: Decent place. Probably the closest to Indian food in Northfields. Staff is very friendly. Momos was great. Really liked the chicken chat too (was very spicy). Tried the chilly chicken and it felt different from what I have had in India. Fried rice was good too.

Hands down the absolute best Nepalese restaurant I've ever eaten at! I loved the cosy atmosphere of the restaurant, it made me feel like I was transported right to Nepal. The wait staff was incredibly attentive and friendly and went above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. All the dishes were to die for and the waitstaff was amazing when I had any questions. Before coming here I had been woefully ignorant of Nepalese cuisine and I have never been happier to be educated. I have quite literally never had anything bad from this restaurant. Everything, and I mean everything, was absolutely amazing. They are very accommodating about your preferences as well - my friend requests extra spice and I request less and it's always perfect when we get it! I can't recommend this highly enough!
