Austin Restaurants Raising Money for Ukrainians Impacted by the Russian Invasion | Eater Austin

"As one of three home bakery services participating in the Bake for Ukraine pop-up, I saw Kat’s Hand-Baked bring items like mille crepe cakes and ruam mit to the cashless in-person sale outside Seoulju on Saturday, March 19 starting at 6:30 p.m., with proceeds to be donated to funds supporting Ukraine." - Nadia Chaudhury

Genuinely incredible food. A hidden gem for sure. I got the Cheesy Katsu, and will absolutely be returning. The service was quick and immediate- they gave me a pitcher of water when I sat down which was awesome! You get free miso on the side as well, which was delicious while I waited for the food to come out, which only took about ~10 minutes. If you're looking for good Katsu in Utah County, look no further.

The best katsu in SLC! The portions are huge and each meal comes with two sides and delicious miso soup. My picky toddler loved the pork katsu and fries. Portions are very generous and the service is top notch. We were seated immediately and the food came out very quick. Server and host was very kind and attentive. Would recommend the cheese and curry katsu if you’re looking for something more exciting than the classic katsu.

I tried the Sirloin Katsu-all dishes are served with two side dishes and miso soup. It also came with white rice and a crispy cabbage with some kind of sweet sauce. It was amazing! They even serve it on a little wire rack to keep it away from the steam and keep it crispy. It was not oily at all. I loved the crunchy cabbage and the pickled veggies on the side. The brown sauce on the side was very subtle and not over bearing. I enjoyed that. Customer service was good. The menu is simple and doesn't list much. Just photos of the options with their names They offered a few sides options. Plenty of parking..good service.

This is my absolute favorite spot in Utah. My girlfriend and I LOVE coming here. The service is always great and the staff are so kind. The food is AMAZING and the portions are awesome! I would highly recommend coming with a big appetite. I love how they prioritize quality and freshness. I normally get the King Katsu or the Tenderloin Katsu but there are no wrong choices here. Also, the salad dressing is to DIE for.

This place was INCREDIBLE. Truly, the food was fantastic and the woman serving us took care of the whole front of house single-handedly. There were more people in there than the building could fit, and yet somehow she was kind, smiling, and got our food out for us so quickly. You would never know she was taking care of 6 other groups at the same time. We ordered the King Katsu, chicken Katsu, and the tteokbokki. The king Katsu was so big the plate took up half the table, but the meat was moist, the breading was crisp, and the sauce was delightful. Not spicy for those wondering. The tteokbokki was also not as spicy as others I have tried, so if you are sensitive to spicy foods this might be a good place to try this dish.

This place was a random stop for us for dinner, and it turned out amazing! We were seated right away, served so quickly and had the most delicious authentic Korean katsu! This place was so good that we were tempted to not leave a review so it wouldn’t get too busy later 😉

My husband and I have loved coming to katsu city. The katsu is always delicious and the service is always fast. I am disappointed, however, with the noticeably smaller portions. The meals always include small banchans/sides which consists of miso soup, pickled onions and radish but what is the point of “offering” these sides when they give you literally three slices? I know food prices have significantly increased recently but surely you can spare to give your customers more than 3 small slices of onions and 5 small cubes of radishes. The katsu itself seemed to be smaller as well. Pretty disappointing but it seems this is always how restaurants turn out. Increased prices, smaller portions. Otherwise it’s a great place for katsu.
