This place is truly a one of a kind find! I was out for an afternoon with a friend and she told me about this place. Literally countless unique Asian inspired restaurants, coffee shops and dessert boutiques. You have to view the photos to truly understand the scope of dining options you will find here - dumplings, sushi, hibachi, poke, noodles & pho to just name a few. Obviously I can’t speak to the exact details and quality of each restaurant, but I can say that we chose a noodle house and the noodle soup was incredible! She ordered a seafood fried rice and it was sooooooo good. Everything was made fresh and with so much care! The servings were generous and the broth in my soup was out of this world! After we had lunch we stopped a couple of shops down and ordered two awesome iced coffees - she got an iced chai latte which she said was soooooo good! I am not a fan of chai, so I ordered an iced matcha latte and it was perfect! This place makes unique sweet and savory waffle/crepe treats. We were too full to try them this time but definitely plan on going back. The TLDR: if you’re out and about and your group cannot decide what you want - everyone will find something great here!

Beautiful location for shopping, food, drinks, and all sorts of specialty locations for everyone to enjoy. IF you can find a parking spot. Every time my wife and I come here, this place is busting at the seams. There are so many people coming and going, but there are so many places to visit, tea to drink, food to try, and culture to dive into. The best advice is to park on the outskirts and walk. Bring some comfy shoes, and just prepare to go on a journey. We especially love trying the boba that locations, so as Fuji Tea,...or one of the plentiful ramen or sweets locations scattered through here. I've stopped in for cooking ingredients at their grocery, to make some "at-home-culinary-delights," and they have it all and more. I wish parking was a bit better, but that's just how it is when you have so many good things in one area. Despite the gripe, we find ourselves here almost every weekend, and if you visit, you might be doing the same.

Korean H-mart is the cleanest and best stocked . I've ever seen. The food court also has a wide selection.

Google
HMart is a nice change of grocery store. Food is fresh. We also enjoy the food court. Love the Hello Kitty merch!!!! Also their bakery was wild….so delicious. Coffee here was also very yummy and packed a lil kid kick!!!!

This area is a hub for Asian eateries with plenty of food and drink options to choose from—perfect if you're craving something tasty or looking to try something new. There’s a large parking lot, though it can get crowded during peak hours. One thing to note: the lighting in the parking area could definitely be brighter, especially since some shops stay open until around 10 PM—it gets pretty dark at night. Still, it’s a convenient spot whether you're grabbing a full meal, a drink, or just some snacks. The variety here feels endless!

Google
This place is filled with nice, small (and bigger) restaurants where you can enjoy delicious Asian food. It's very conveniently located near the intersection of 99 and I10. I don't add the 5th star because I think the parking lot should be bigger. If you go at pick time, you probably need to spend some time finding a place to park.

Google
Plenty of choices! Healthy food. Plenty of cafes. Excellent variety of tea, fruit tea, boba and coffee

Yelp
Finally had a chance to check out the Katy Asian Town. I have to say that it's not what I was expecting because from the name it was giving the impression that it was an established and organically created neighborhood the way Houston's Chinatown and Little Saigon on Bellaire, along with Koreatown in Spring Branch, and all the Southeast Asian and Middle Eastern places on Hillcroft are. Actually, every International district I've seen anywhere has been pretty old and established. Katy Asian Town on the other hand is closer to an Asian LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch - something a Developer put together because the population in the area had hit critical mass and they wanted to cash in on the people looking for Asian flavors without driving all the way to Houston. There is nothing wrong with it, but just wanted to point out that it's a concrete jungle. Speaking of which, parking is kind of hectic here mostly because the parking lot doesn't make sense so people circle around and are looking for the place they're supposed to go to so they aren't paying attention so keep your head on a swivel and watch out. Also, the term "Asian" is defined pretty narrowly - I saw Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese so if you're down for some Indian, Pakistani, Persian, Arabic, Turkish, etc. food then this isn't the place for that. Again, not saying there is anything wrong with that and I'm pretty used to it by now as I am not "that kind of Asian" as my buddy Vinh likes to say (little inside joke for you there), but that's just the way it is. From what I was told, a lot of the places here are also chains from the west coast so it's a good chance to try places that you may have heard of before but never had a chance to try. I know from my description it sounded like I didn't it here, but I actually did and will revisit again.

Yelp
If you're tired of Chinatown Bellaire ghetto, this is. Better alternative but it is more expensive. 4 stars because they need to concrete some of the dirt area to accommodate demand and parking

Yelp
Lots of Asian restaurants and grocery store within close proximity! Food was also great!

Yelp
Great place to get Asian food without having to drive to Chinatown Houston! H Mart is a great addition to get Asian groceries. Tremendous amount of restaurants in the area. Can get really packed on the weekends and rush hour, so good luck with parking. My favorite restaurants are Tan Tan Wok, ThaiCoon, Giau Bar & Bites, Corner 99 to name a few. Seems like there is an endless amount of Boba Tea spots. The selection for food, drinks, pastries almost seem endless.

Yelp
Love to go here and try new things! There are a few restaurants within the market and we tried two different places. There is also a really cute little bakery up front that we grabbed some treats on the way out. We frequent Katy Asian Town!!!

Yelp
Each time I step into Katy's Asian Town and the nearby UKaty + Elite Center, I'm convinced the future is happening right before my very eyes. Bellaire Chinatown / Asiatown is nothing to sneeze at, but this area of businesses along Colonial Parkway is booming into something special. It might just look like a series of strip malls for now, but trust in the coming months / year, it'll be a beast of an Asian (business) enclave. After its debut in 2018, Katy Asian Town has gained enough legitimacy to have its own sign off the highway. There are a series of residential and commercial properties being built as I type this and plenty of vacant spaces that simply need to get filled. For now, there are many chains + well known Houston based establishments that have opened up additional locations here. H-Mart is the major centerpiece for now, but the future phases of this operation will have it looking like a neighborhood sprawl of economic development. It goes without saying, I love coming here and visiting the surrounding areas. There's still plenty of interesting business options all throughout and a lot to see, do, and eat. Whether it's grabbing boba drinks at The Alley (#1), channeling my inner voice on at Sing (#3), afternoon tea at Proper Rose Garden (#4), slurping pho broth at Yummy (https://www.yelp.com/biz/yummy-pho-and-bo-ne-katy), or getting bottles rom Lucky Star (#5), it's only going to be more impressive as time goes on. I really can't wait to see how it all unfolds. Yelp
Asian Town is the sole reason I would drive back to Katy. There are so many restaurants AND an H Mart packed in this one area that I can drive here on multiple occasions and still not feel like I've experienced everything. Not every restaurant in and of itself is superb, but the fact that they're all together makes Asian Town greater than the sum of its parts.

Yelp
I have to say I visit this Katy Asian Town often. I just love all the wonderful foods and shops. I know I have reviewed here before but I don't see my review. Eight Turn Crepe has the best coffee rum gelato and the BLT crepe was yummy too. Square Root Poke makes excellent poke bowls. If you have not tried Phat Eatery you are missing out! It's a must go to place. HMart is a must stop as well. Love all the fresh veggies and fruit selection. It's a great place to park your car and walk around visiting all the shops. (A snack here, a snack there...)

Yelp
I was so excited for another Chinatown outside of Houston Chinatown. I waited since 2017 for Katy Asian Town to open. I finally got a chance to explore after New Year 2020. It was one hot Saturday afternoon, sunny and cloudless sky. Katy has better air quality than Houston by a long shot. The parking lot was packed in the center of the mall. I parked behind a new building without any businesses. After eating at Ten Seconds Yunan Rice Noodle Restaurant, I started walking toward HMart. I found so many familiar restaurants that Houston Chinatown has. Since I was away from home, I chose to try restaurants I have never been to. But the lines were too long. I swear I would come back to visit next year. I know this is a new development. It would take time for trees to grow up to create shades. It's always a good idea to bring sunscreen and car shades.

Yelp
So if the kittens pissed on your nightgown And your partners refuse to go down There's a yum silver lining Cause they're done designing Food Mecca: Katy Asian Town! Not to be confused with Catty Asian Town where everyone is bitchy. Or Cat Asian Town where all my kittens go to get Catnoodles. Not to be confused with Katy Ageing Town which is a retirement community in Katy. The building of this really made Katy a destination for us and for lots of other people that don't live anywhere near Katy but have good taste in food and better addictions to Boba. I would never have explored the suburbs of Catty so extensively and so quickly if it hadn't been for the amazing additions to the area that were selected and plopped in here as if to say "let's have 30 Asian businesses in 1 plaza built from scratch and see how it goes." So far so good. It's really incredible when you check out all the desert and bubble tea options as well as some of the food options here. Absolutely love it and we'll come here many many more times. The main attractions are Tea Top and Pann Tea, they're both amazing. The Gong Cha here is great, the Sharetea... no comment. Chatime products aren't great, BeardPapas is popular and interesting. There's a good Pole place and some other tastiness around here as well. It's growing by the week, so come and check it out! This place is really becoming the heart of Katy in terms of exciting desserts and interesting new places. I just wish it was more busy cuz sometimes it seems completely dead. PannTea and Tea Top especially - 2 of the best Boba places you will ever, ever try. So if you're loud mouthed like Slim Shady Or secretly Marquis De Sade-y Eat, drink, and be merry, Not with Katy Perry But at the Asian Town in Katy!

Yelp
Ni How, Katy Asian Town! Don't get this confused with the Chinatown down the way in Houston by Bellaire. This is a more pan-Asian shopping center than that other one. There are so many different concepts and shops and restaurants and markets open around here- it doesn't just fit in as one country. There's karaoke joints, bobba tea, bubble tea, massage, a supermarket, lots of little restaurants. You could spend Tet through Lunar New Year wandering through all the different shops and places to eat. Just walking through the parking lot smells amazing with the scents of the dishes wafting from each of the store fronts. I wish Katy Asian Town has some public art at the entrances or exits, or someplace. They need a big ol Chinese gate, or a wall, or something that the whole Asian community can get behind. They need to commission some public art! There wasn't enough parking for the size of this place- I saw people parking their cars in the manicured landscaping and grass since there were no more spots available in the paved areas.

Yelp
Great place to go for all your Asian food needs! We shop here regularly and support all the restaurants and boba shops! If you're looking for Asian items you can't find, this is your destination! If you can't find it here at H-Mart you'll be driving to 99 Ranch...or Bellaire... ...but overall a great place to grab a bite or some groceries!

Yelp
I love here although I live in Houston. Here is much cleaner than Hong Kong Market in Bellaire Blvd.(Sorry) I could enjoy all kinds of Asian foods and grocery shopping. I would like to suggest improvements. - There are a lot of Asian tea houses. What's the differences? - We need a gate such as " Dragon Gate" In San Francisco. - We need a sushi restaurant. If you have never been to here, please, please stop by!

Yelp
I feel so out of the loop because I just discovered Katy Asian Town. I had actually came once for dessert with a gal pal late at night once and did not know what was beyond the area I was at. Recently after dinner near by, we wanted dessert again and was told to drive out to what she described as Katy China Town. I was like no, China Town is more towards Houston on Bellaire. I was then schooled on this area. We pulled up to our spot and the line was outside the store. I then see on the horizon a whole shopping center anchored by HMart. There was food and shopping selections galore! A lot of the big name spots in China Town were right before my eye. At that point my focus switched to some boba. So many options to choose from. It's quite a bit of a drive farther than China Town from where I live, but the ease of parking and shopping here is way more enticing. I can't wait to spend a day out here and just check out all the cool spots!

Yelp
I think everyone who follows me would not be surprised to see me here. I've been to almost every restaurant in Katy Asian Town. They just keep building and adding while I'm over here in celebration. I always can't wait until my next time back when I get to try something new. Keep building and I shall keep coming!

Yelp
Yesssss~ our very own up-and-coming asian plaza in the katy area. I love that it's filled with boba places and great food choices. Of course, there are still more stores coming and some big chains from asia. I'm super excited! Every time I come back here, there's always a new shop popping up. I also been keeping up with what's about to come to this location and there are many yummy places to eat and drink coming in the near future. This will definitely be the new asia town if you're too far from bellaire. I'm sure I'll make frequent stops here when I'm in the area. I can't wait to see how everything will be like once it's fully completed.

Yelp
Great place to try many Asian-inspired cuisine and treats. This place is on the outside of Houston. However, the shops here are amazing! They have all kinds of stores from grocery centers to karaoke. If you're in the Katy area I highly suggest stopping by for a drink.

Yelp
OMG, there's so much food/drinks to try in this shopping center. It's going to be the next suburbian Chinatown for folks who don't live that close to the Chinatown in Bellaire. Shoot, even people like me who don't live that close to this foodie spot will drive a little more to try all their restaurants here. This shopping center has milktea, pho, poke, HMart (opening soon), fusion cuisine, Korean desserts (bing su), creampuffs, hot pot, northern style Chinese food, ramen, Japanese curry, and probably even more. This place is already packed with people. So, it's gotta be good. If you don't mind the trek, or are lucky enough to live close by, come by and check them out. I've already tried out Square Root Poke and Beard Papa's, and they're solid choices.
google avatar

Yelp
Only two shops that is open. Square Poke and Yummy Pho many are under constructions though. Hope this place will get lots of shop in , because we need it on this side of town !!! This is as of 3-08-18. Was hoping for more shops, since I been hear about it for a long time.

Yelp
This place is a smaller, less crowded version of Bellaire for those who get anxiety about making U-turns on Bellaire during rush hour (and also don't mind the drive, or just live in Katy). This strip mall has about everything you could want out of a "Chinatown": dessert, Vietnamese/Chinese/Japanese restaurants, a grocery store, and little boutiques here and there selling Asian goods. Parking here is a nightmare, expectedly, as so many people want to stop by for various reasons. A lot of the restaurants in Katy's Asia Town mimic Bellaire's Chinatown: Gong Cha, ShareTea, Phanh Ky, bubble waffles, H-Mart, etc. So if you're in the area, or don't want to deal with Bellaire traffic, I highly recommend stopping by here!

Yelp
Great area! So many choices for good food! I was really excited to try everything, but my first restaurant to try Com Tam Saigon! Great food and customer service!
google avatar

Yelp
I'm glad there's finally a mini chinatown in Katy! It sucks that only half of the shops and restaurants are opened though. The biggest name grocery store would be H mart but I honestly think another Vietnamese or Chinese grocery store would be a great addition to this shopping complex. There definitely needs to be an 85C to make it even better! So far theres probably like 4 boba places opened and who knows maybe another 5 will be added by the time complex is completed. My biggest complaint is the parking lot. There needs to be some sort of painted arrows on the ground or more stop signs, yield signs or do not enter signs to give people some guidance of the right and wrong way to drive cuz I could definitely see alot of accidents happening.
google avatar

Rachell N.

Yelp
I am so happy that we have an Asia Town in Katy! Although small compared to the one in Houston, we don't have to drive 25-30 minutes to enjoy Asian delicacies. Overall, it's a fun place to shop or go on a date. H-Mart in the grocery store that is the "center" of Asia Town. There a variety of eateries in and out of H-Mart. There is a cafeteria with several stalls of food, and there are multiple restaurants (and still growing) within the center. I have noticed several tea shops here.
google avatar

Rose L.

Yelp
Great addition to Katy! Now I don't have to drive all the way to china town to get all my essentials. This place is like a mini replica of Dun Huang Plaza in Bellaire. They got plenty of noodle shops like Pho, Ramen, Hu tieu. Poke, Hot pot, and BBQ. Varieties like Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Szechuan, and Vietnamese. So many different things!! They even have a pastry shop and like 10 different boba shops!! Teatop, Gong cha, Cha time, Sharetea, Tea Bar just to name a few. Cosmetic shops like Tony Moly, The Face Shop and It's Skin. It's a nice change to come out here rather than going to Bellaire because of the many recent robberies targeted towards Asian people lately. They even opened an Hmart here which is the main star of this place. It's huge and has so many different things in there and different restaurants inside too. I'm excited about this place.

Yelp
Love going here. From Boba to Pork Bbq and Roasted Ducks. A heaven for Asian food lovers.:)

Yelp
Great food places. Parking is horrendous. You need to be there early or else you will have to wait for a long time it park.

Chris R.

Yelp
Some interesting food choices like ramen, pho, other noodles, however, usually pretty long lines for lunch and dinner, especially on weekends. Parking is also a challenge due to the H-Mart grocery store.
