Great coffee shop in a great area. Tried out their Sugar Cookie and Lavender Dreams. The Sugar Cookie has dulce de leche and the Lavender Dreams has a pleasant lavender flavor without being overpowering. Kassy the Barista behind the counter was great! Excellent service and super knowledgeable of the menu. If you're in the area it's a definite stop.

Google
The cutest coffee shop/space. Very comforting and quiet spot to stop by. The staff were very sweet especially Dany. She helped me out pick the best coffee and it was amazing! Will definitely be coming back to try everything!!

Ehh. This place is just ok due to its convenient location near the trail, but the quality of food/drink is average. The menu is limited and doesn’t even have the ingredients listed for anything- you have to ask one by one until you find something that sounds good which just made me feel bad for asking what felt like too many questions. The establishment itself is in a modern luxury apartment building which is part of why the prices are pretty high. The cleanliness and customer service was lacking. Parking is subject to availability on the street or in a small side lot.

Usually not a cafe person. Would rather make it at home. However, decided to give this coffee shop a try since I pass it every morning during my morning runs. I got an oat milk with vanilla latte and it was the best latte I ever had. Daniela was very kind & attentive. She asked me about my day which was very nice. 10/10 in all aspects! I have gone multiple times even when I do go run and love my interactions with Daniela. Amazing human being!

The Hispanic woman working when my husband and I visited at 11:35 was very rude and had terrible customer service. I asked for water after ordering and she said when I can get to it in a condescending tone. I was taken aback because that’s a given and a very poor response to customer. I didn’t say anything, I waited. Got the drink I paid for w/o water… no worries because we were still waiting for my husband’s drink. He got his and then I asked again (I would not have had to ask but the water jug on the counter was empty). Her response was “after I finish making these drinks” the shock. How rude the most appropriate time would have been by the last drink we ordered, really with my actual drink. She also barely greeted us it was like pulling teeth to get her to acknowledge us. She was super nice and friendly to everyone else. Pretty sure she was racist maybe she doesn’t like interracial couples. Don’t care. This is very unfortunate. We will never return. You need people on your staff that have more training in customer service because it’s 2024- this is unacceptable.

Yall have to come here to see Kassy!!! She was phenomenally accommodating to my picky taste and even made me fall in love with a new drink!! Never ever did I think I’d try a blueberry matcha! I loved it so much I will be going back to see her <3

Google
Amazing coffee, walked in here after a run and was greeted with the warmest welcome. Made conversation with Daniela, she was so sweet and had great recommendations. I ended up drinking the best latte I’ve ever had.

Been to this coffee shop a few times, and every time I LOVE IT! The staff is so sweet, and welcoming! They are so clean, and drinks are so unique and tasty! I love the gouda bagel! It’s so so delicious! Definitely can’t wait to go back!

Yelp
I came here to do some work on my computer and I enjoyed their cold brew. Wi-Fi is provided along with decent amount of seating area. The service was okay. The area is clean, organized, and well-lit.

Yelp
WHAT I ORDERED: Iced PS I Love You, Iced Caramel Brulee PARKING: Limited parking spots INSIDE: Spacious area, connected to an apartment complex, friendly staff with quick service THE FOODS/DRINKS: The drinks were lacking in flavor. I could taste the cinnamon in the PS I Love You but it didn't have any pumpkin taste. The caramel brulee tasted bland overall.

Yelp
Off the beaten path of Katy trail-underneath an apartment complex- lays home to Katy coffee lab. It's a cozy bright space with lots of seating, tables and couches. The barista behind the counter was super friendly and kind. I don't think they provide wifi here, so studying here bight be a bit tough. Coffee is pretty standard, I remember enjoying a cappuccino, but nothing too mind blowing.

Yelp
I was staying at the Guild so this place is super convenient. Also convenient if you are finishing the Katy Trail near the AA entrance. Yes, they are short staffed, but that is the world we are in right now, and I don't really feel it should be taken out on small businesses... I ordered a latte, it was good, and the service was friendly. There is a lot of inside seating as well as tables outside.

Yelp
I had a mixed experience here. I was staying at the Guild so this coffee shop was super convenient. It's cute too, very modern design and I like that it has couches and outlets to charge! However my first experience here was when I was checking in and had time to kill. I came over to the counter to order and there was no worker around, so I sat down and 5 mins later a guy finally comes. I order an iced VGL and a sandwich because they were out of avocado toast. The order took a very long time AND they burned my sandwich! The food was fine except for the burnt part... If I were to rate off of this experience alone I'd only give it two stars. But the next two times I came by to get coffee and the lady who worked there was much friendlier and faster. I got an iced vanilla oat latte the next couple of times which I liked more than the VGL too. I gave it an average score from my very differing experiences, I guess it depends who is working on that day/time.

Yelp
First the good: The filter brew that I had was really nice - a light and sweet Colombian with lots of fruit coming through. I'd come back to try other brews, for sure. The espresso, otoh... sour. And this is where the rating comes from. One of my pet peeves: When the opening staff arrives at, not before, the time the shop is supposed to open. And it's not about the door being unlocked a few minutes after the hour - it's about then having to wait for staff to get everything ready. Can I wait a bit for the coffee to brew? Sure. But I shouldn't have to. So back to the espresso... Instead of being served a shot of espresso that's been dialed in nicely, I get whatever comes out, and mine was under extracted and sour. I'll end on another positive: Other than opening late, the service was great. The barista was super nice. Even as it started to get busier and she was prepping for the day, she was incredibly pleasant and provided everyone with great service.

Yelp
Nice place to study and get work done. Quiet and tucked away within an apartment complex downtown. Nice view of people walking by on Katy Trail. Matcha latte and almond croissant was good. It was very clean and well kept. The barista was friendly and helpful!

Yelp
This coffee counter and seating is located inside the Katy apartment building. Very quiet with plenty of comfortable seating, big windows, and natural light. Getting into the Katy parking garage was a little complicated (had to do the whole u-turn and loop dee loop thing) but once you do it once, you'll know for next time. The coffee was decent ($5 something for my cold brew), and the quiet and spacious seating area is worth it just for that. Will definitely come back if I'm in the area and need a quiet place to chill.

Brigitte K.

Yelp
This place is super spacious and you can spread out and study. There's outdoor seating as well and dog friendly. Right across from the Katy Trail and you can pop in for coffee and continue on the trail, and right next door to the Katy Apartment and lobby. Parking isn't great, it's under a garage and no one leaves the guest parking on weekends.

Yelp
Ample space. Modern yet comfy furniture. With a creative, yummy tasting menu. What's not to love about Katy Coffee Lab? I came in recently and enjoyed a decaf oat milk VGL latte with some honey added in and it was *delicious*! I enjoyed my drink by the large windows in their coffee shop while watching cars drive by and it was such a pleasant overall experience. If you're in the neighborhood, check this place out!

Yelp
Sleek, modern and clean setup. Friendly staff, WiFi provided and plenty of seating. Menu is very simple --coffee, tea, pastries. Not sure how parking works since it is in a complex. I imagined they have a spot in the garage for parking for retail. I was lucky to find parking right in front of the store but was just popping in and out. I ordered a vanilla latte lite iced. Will say very well mixed together. The taste is well made and you can taste it. The combination is just right. A little pricey of course 5.41$ish. I wished they had the Almond flavor syrup. Would definitely come back.

Yelp
Cute spot at the end of the Katy trail. Tons of space between the coffee shop as well as additional seating out in the lobby and the on the patio. For as busy as the surrounding areas can be, this spot is actually fairly quiet. I ordered a lavender latte with oat milk and my daughter had a chocolate croissant. Friendly service and even though the parking situation isn't the best, I'd still consider going back if I'm in the area.

Yelp
Come here quite regularly. The atmosphere is nice. Wifi is good. Seems clean. Couple problems though. They are coooonstnantly running out of stuff. Never have all the ingredients. Last time was the final straw. Asked for four different things on the menu, both drinks and food, and was told either they were out of it or they no longer serve that product....cmon....Every time with this? Figure it out. And the menu is a single piece of paper by the register...cant update that for weeks? Really?? Bagel/egg/avocado sandwich is so absurdly messy that you have to ask if anyone there actually ate it before putting it on the menu. Put so much tea in a serving that it is undrinkable re bitter. Baristas have the universal "I'm a resentful millennial that is legitimately annoyed when customers do annoying things like require me to look up from my phone" type of attitude but...that parts not really unique to this place.

Yelp
Stopped in for a creme brûlée coffee and cinnamon roll. They have quick service and I love that they have the specialty coffee. Cheaper than Starbucks, but much better in my opinion.

Yelp
I love love love this coffee shop. There were two men working on a Saturday that my husband and I went. They were super nice and helpful when we asked questions about their suggestions and what kind of milk they recommended. I got the latte that had strawberry and orange flavors and my husband got a vanilla latte. They were both really good and we enjoyed them thoroughly. The inside was one of my favorite parts. Katy Coffee Lab is under a luxury apartment complex and the lounge/study areas are ideal for anyone who needs to get work done or meet with a friend. If it weren't for covid, I would love to spend more time there. Our only complaint is the parking situation. We honestly don't know how it works, but we found a parking spot and prayed that we wouldn't get towed. Once you miss the entrance of the parking garage, it's hard to try to turn around and find it. Other than that, we loved Katy Coffee Lab!

Veniece G.

Yelp
The best coffee! Barista Shae and Brandon go above and beyond. They don't use Oatly oat milk and use a cleaner oat milk brand. Love it here give it a try!

J H.

Yelp
Overall a really nice little Cafe. I like that they source their coffees from different roasters from all over the country instead of keeping the same blends. That way you get a chance to see how much coffee can really vary in flavor just like different wines. The design and finish out is super clean, reliable Wi-Fi for those work sessions and plenty of seating if you need it. I also really like that they don't have loud music playing in the background so if you need to read or concentrate you can. They also have a gorgeous expresso machine if you're like me and you geek out over those kind of things. If you like my review please let me know and if you like pics of delicious food check out my insta at seasonedfoodie Thanks for reading my review :)

Yelp
Bad costumer service experience- It was weird experience at best. Usually I have good service but today I waited a long time for the barista to take my order. He saw me waiting there and continued his conversation even when the person he was speaking with pointed to the counter, so he could take my order. I stood there until another barista came later to then take my order who did not have a mask on. Really disappointing...

Kelsey B.

Yelp
This is a really cute spot to go to study or pick up a quick drink. I just got a simple jasmine green tea which was good. It was rather quiet and attached to a nice apartment complex. 3 stars because 1) the parking situation was pretty horrible. I would recommend you park higher up along the street, closer to the the AA center to make life easier. And 2) the staff doesn't wear masks, which definitely isn't my favorite thing when someone is preparing my food or drink during a pandemic.

Ashley G.

Yelp
10 times better now that they have reopened! Consistent hours and much more consistent with their supplies. Before they were always out of stuff. Really happy with the staff and loving the new look!

Michaela P.

Yelp
I love this place. The coffee is SO good and perfectly priced. Fernando is so kind and well attentive (as are the other employees). I 100% recommend.

Antonio M.

Yelp
I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but I sincerely have no idea why this coffee shop has such raving reviews. The barista was super nice and friendly, and the shop is cool. But, after trying their VGL latte and pumpkin spice latte equivalent, I think their coffee is subpar and overpriced for what you get to be honest.

Christina M.

Yelp
Coffee is amazing! And staff is even better. Great way to start the morning especially if you're staying at the Katy. Or need a quiet place to work or take a meeting.

Brandon G.

Yelp
The atmosphere is totally awesome. This quiet coffee shop is the perfect place to meet friends, do work, hear good music, and most of all drink amazing coffee. It cup is made with love and pour with perfection. The baristas' go up and beyond to make sure each consumer is happy with their drink. They even have a Deaf barista which is pretty rare in the coffee world and he is just as awesome!
