Google
Absolutely phenomenal! Loved every second. Grace was a wonderful server, she gave us tips on where to go after and great recommendations. Thank you so much for letting us leave our mark and hosting us to a great experience ☺️

What a hidden gem! What you would assume (from the outside and name) is a typical Irish bar turns out to be one of the coolest places in downtown cape! Stopped by on a Friday afternoon so it wasn’t overly busy or crowded, which was nice. The bartender handled the bar area and entire dining room with fantastic and attentive service! Beer/Drink menu is great- the Pineapple Jalapeño Margarita was phenomenal. To cap the afternoon we enjoyed a couple pickle shots before leaving! The atmosphere is really neat with dollar bills lining the wall from guests and different seating areas. Very neat!

Google
We took a Saturday road trip and popped in here for an appetizer and cocktail. Our server recommended one of his own concoctions, Pineapple Jalapeño margarita, on special for July. Delicious! Fun vibe and great location, right on the Main Street.

Google
Such a cute spot with amazing food. We had the New York strip that was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. And the blackberry and sage margarita that was so tasty. Service was excellent. Would absolutely recommend and return to again.

Google
The best corned beef, easily!! Whatever it's in, whether it be a Reuben or a mushroom. Great beer as well!!

Google
We stopped for a nightcap before heading to our hotel for the night. The food looked and smelled delicious, and our bartender was quick and friendly. Loved the atmosphere, and we added a dollar bill of our own, lol. We didn't spend a lot of time here, but that was only because it was getting late. We will stop in again when we are traveling through.

Google
What a fun, unique place! This is a bit late because we went after the eclipse. They were very busy! With that being said, everyone was super friendly & went above & beyond to make sure we were happy. My bangers & Mash was excellent. Perfect portion size. My cocktail tasted great as well. They also have a pool table & touch tunes for music. Definitely recommend!!

Google
Received excellent, friendly service from Drew, who also gave us great breakfast recommendations for the area. Loved the Reuben Stuffed Mushrooms! Specialty burgers were a delicious daily special. Cozy, neighborhood bar atmosphere. Will definitely be back when visiting CG.

Yelp
The food was delicious! Especially the chicken stuffed boxty. So so good. We had a great server and loved the Irish Stuffed Mushroom appetizer. It has a kick to it!! If you don't like spicy I wouldn't recommend it. Luckily, I like spicy. The Shepard pie is delicious. The Guinness stew was good, but not enough Guinness flavor for me I love the vibe and architecture of the old building. However, I think the dollar bills all over the walls takes away from the charm. Overall, loved everything we tried and want to go back and try the bread pudding. Didn't leave room for dessert this time around. Yum!

Yelp
Every time we visit this town that we love so much! Today's experience was unfortunately awful. We ordered bottle service and tip well - this is this first time we noticed staff changes. We won't go back due to us making us move because we were watching Ole Miss game!

Yelp
My wife (in progress) and I visited this gorgeous little pub in downtown cape- a place i've been wanting to go for years. we were very satisfied with this decision. we got the mac n cheese bites- now i'm a person who hates mac n cheese bites but these were amazing. we also got the caesar salad and it was absolutely scrumptious. we both hate it when a caesar is too anchovy-heavy and for those who are the same you will not be disappointed.

Yelp
If you love Irish food this pub is for you. The service was excellent and in such a cool atmosphere. Located behind the TV station and across from the Newspaper, easy parking

Yelp
We visited this Cape Girardeau favorite on a Wednesday for lunch. Service was quick to take our beverage order. I had not visited here since 2016 so I was pleased to find that Shepherds Pie was still on the menu. My friend had never eaten this dish and I wanted to introduce it to her. This is a University place so I am much older than most of the guests. I explained to her that this dish requires a good bit of preparation time. So we had quiet conversation while we waited for it to arrive. It's worth the wait. It is served in a crock with a side of baby carrots. The mashed potato topping was nicely browned warning us that what was underneath it was quite hot. The meat was tender and the gravy delicious. It's comfort food the way I like it. We will be back.

Yelp
Okay so the sampler is pretty good but the fish looked translucent and rubbery and really weird worst fish n chips I've ever had I don't know about the other menu items but I used to work in meat and I know when meat is bad and this was disgusting. I'm really scared of what I did it I couldn't finish it all because I was scared of getting sick.

Yelp
Had my Red Hat group meeting there day after St. Patrick's Day had a great time lovely waitress can't remember the name it was a Irish name. I had the stuffed mushrooms. They were delicious. Just the right size we will come back again. It was great.

Yelp
Came to Cape Girardeau for the eclipse in April. Katy O'Ferrell's was recommended as a place to have dinner. I had the "Dirn Burger" and my wife hade the Shepherds Pie. Both were delicious. We also tried the potato pancakes with sour cream and green onions--very, very good. Our server, Jack was great. I always try a local beer when traveling and he recommended the houseo made Katy's Irish Red. Not bad at all--i gave it a 3.75/5.0. It is smooth, with a little bit of maltiness and a small amount of bitterness. My wife had the "Relaxer" drink and said it was great . One other thing: While downtown we decided to walk around. Wow! Caper Girardeau has a phenomenal downtown area---the kind of downtown you used to see everywhere 40 years ago. Lots of shops and sculptures and green space. Very nice sidewalks for easy walking. It is impressive for a town of about forty thousand people. The ambiance is just like a local Irish pub...a little loud but we could have a conversation--no problem.

Yelp
Excellent food, prompt and efficient service. Ambiance of the made me realize where I must celebrate St Patrick's Day next year!!‍
google avatar

Nicole J.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to go to relax and have a nice drink! Such a fun and unique atmosphere! Dollar bill galore all over the way with so many signatures! Plus the food is delicious, not a single bad thing on the menu! Highly recommend

chris ..

Yelp
Bartender was rude and over served me alcohol. She continued to serve me while I was visibly intoxicated and encouraged me to leave the bar and drive home.
google avatar

Mindy P.

Yelp
I am not positive that I tagged the correct menu item, I am positive that Champ means mashed potatoes, I had to ask. Since I'm trying to behave and stay low carb this week, I switched the champ for the seasonal veggies and it was delightful. The cabbage and veggies all had a fantastic flavor and seasoning. Service was above par and the drinks were strong. Definitely stop here if you are on Cape! Great vibes also, they have stuff all over the walls, so much to look at!
google avatar

Ashley W.

Yelp
We loved the food here! Came to watch the solar eclipse and ate here for dinner afterward. Service and food were great! We would eat here again!

Will S.

Yelp
disappointed but McGuire in Pensacola is better and I want Irish Music what's the deal felt food was lukewarm fries couldn't finish eating high price for flat food
google avatar

Yelp
Doesn't get anymore authentic then this! Put on your Irish step dancing shoes and make your way through the doors. You will have no doubt that your stepping into some delicious and authentic Irish cuisine and thirst quenching drinks. Can't wait to binge eat through their menu and come for a live music night!

Susannah M.

Yelp
My husband and I loved this restaurant! The atmosphere was really neat, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious! We started with the Irish Boxtys for an appetizer. We each had the pick two with Guinness stew. My husband had the half reuben and I the half hot roast beef and Swiss. They were both top notch. There are dollar bills pinned to the walls all over the restaurant. We asked about the back story. Our waiter told us the woman who started the place, Katy O'Ferrell, said that anyone who pinned a dollar with their name or a note (I think name and a note) owns a little part of the restaurant. Just a very cool vibe!! We will definitely be back.

Marcella P.

Yelp
Slow service but good food with interesting menu selections. The pot pie I chose in its puff pastry tasted freshly made. It's an interesting place in an excellent location.
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped in here for a quick drink after work and had a great experience! The bartender was super friendly, let us know of the specials for the night and that two for one drinks started at 9pm! Talk about a deal! We stayed for around an hour and enjoyed the sports on their TV's, the fantastic music selection, and the ambiance. The coolest thing about this place is the way that it's decorated! It really feels like you were dropped into the middle of an Irish pub. They also have a TON of signed dollar bills all along the bar that were fun to look at while you sipped your drink. Loved this place!

Yelp
Another excellent experience at Katy's with my best friend here in Cape! We started out with the Boxty, which was crisp on the outside and soft on the inside and seasoned well, served with sour cream. My entree was the two piece fish and chips. The fish was served hot and well prepared with a delicious beer battered coating on a good size piece of cod. I had the planks instead of the chips and they were cooked well but could have been seasoned more. But they were still good. Our server, Valerie M, was spot on and friendly. She helped me negotiate the whiskey menu to get the best shot for me. Always glad to get back to Cape and have a meal at Katy's! Highly recommended!

David F.

Yelp
Food was absolutely delicious, service was attentive, polite and delightful. Ambiance was as close to a neighborhood Irish Pub as one could get her in the good ole USA. Yes it's a must do if you're in the area

Debbie A.

Yelp
The service and ambiance has always been great, cold beer & friendly staff. We had the sampler appetizer. Pretty much everything on there is deep fried and it came out cold. The lobster wontons were so overcooked, the outside was hard as a rock and the inside cold. The whole dish was disappointing. We were never asked how the food was, so we paid and left. Meals here have been hit and miss multiple times. Doubtful that we will go back for food again.
google avatar

Elizabeth F.

Yelp
We got the corn beef stuffed mushrooms and they were amazing. Skip the Boxtys and go straight for the bread pudding. The service was great and the staff super friendly. You should stop by here for a pint the next time you're in Cape.
google avatar

Yelp
Erin go here! What a great little Irish Pub! We are here after having the first Covid-19 shot. I had the ruben sandwich and it was spot on! Tasty. We'll be back!
google avatar

Jaye S.

Yelp
What a great little place! We stumbled upon it when visiting Cape for the day. Cozy and inviting inside...love the lights decorating the bar area. Husband had Reuben sandwich and I had grilled chicken sandwich--both very yummy! They did a great job distancing the dine-in guests! The signage for the restrooms is funny...be sure to read the small print before entering!! LOL!! Would definitely visit again!!
google avatar

Jeremy D.

Yelp
Incredible food! The taste is on point. Only cons are wait time and pricing. The ambiance is perfect for a pub and the music makes you feel right at home. This area of Cape Girardeau is fantastic for a restaurant like this. I would recommend you trying it out, just be prepared to reach a little deeper than normal into the pocket book.
google avatar

Ron D.

Yelp
Really wanted to like this place. The interior exterior is very cool and fun. Unfortunately the food and service were spotty. The bangers and mash included a sausage that I am fairly certain was left over from St Pattys day the week before, and the baby carrots appeared to be straight from a bag at Walmart. Would say 5 stars for a bevg and hanging out watch a game but would stick with pub apps if ordering food
google avatar

TJ C.

Yelp
Number 2 in steak in this area. Pilot house is good, but not for steak. This place has quick service and it is just a great atmosphere!

Gerald M.

Yelp
The food at o'farrell's was average at best and the up charge on individual bills was an absolute insult never said they would be up charged this simply because they were more of us all paid their own bills will never return, not worthy insult and aggravation!2 star

Yelp
Food was delicious, service was great, we had a large party and had no issues at all with accommodations. Glasses were refilled on time, food was delivered together in a timely fashion. I will go back

Lenny G.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and good service. It has pub side by the bar a dinning room area. I ate across from the bar tables. I ordered the pick two which was 1/2 roast beef and cup of Sheppards pie. So good I ordered another cup of Sheppards pie. A must see of all the Irish decor.
google avatar

Erika P.

Yelp
Great food and service. Will return when visiting the area. Visited during lunch with 3 small children ranging in age from 6months to 6 years and experience was pleasant.
google avatar

Shirley M.

Yelp
Sitting in a booth waiting for steaks to arrive and they did not disappoint. They came with a sweet Jameson glaze. Not normally what I'd want, but it was the perfect compliment to the beef. Didn't offer us a steak knife but we didn't need one! The steak fries were interesting and spicy but in a good way and came with a southwest dipping sauce that again was a great pair. Topped it off with Irish coffee because "when in Rome!" Goooo!

Yelp
This was a fun place to stop and eat. My kids enjoy the uniqueness of the place and I personally love the old School bathroom. The cheese dip was really good.

Michelle W.

Yelp
The food was amazing, great service, nice ambiance too. I would highly recommend this gem downtown.

Christy M.

Yelp
Such a fun place!! We just happened to walk by it and walked in for a drink and came back later for more. Fun atmosphere. Great bartenders that were fun and talkative. . The owner was there too and the workers were all talking about how great he was and how he was amazing to work for. we ordered their appetizer that had a little bit of everything and I was not disappointed. .

Jarl B.

Yelp
Incredible service. Kaitlyn and Chloe, the bartenders who tend to their customers needs. At Katy O'Ferrell's these bartenders cater to our needs and make us a part of the family. They make us feel very welcome and worth our two cents. Chloe and Kaitlyn. MVP. Employees of the month. Make it happen Chris.

Yelp
Great atmosphere. Great service and very good food. We really enjoyed our visit and look forward to visiting again.

Yelp
This is the worst food I've ever had at an Irish pub. I ordered fish and chips and took one bite and I'm still not sure was on my plate but it didn't taste like any fish I've ever had. The waitress took my plate without even asking why I hadn't eaten any of the food and therefore I paid my bill and said nothing else as it was clear they didn't care their food was inedible. I would highly recommend going to any other restaurant in Cape Girardeau before here.
google avatar

Shanon L.

Yelp
The portobello mushroom sandwich is delicious, so is the Guinness stew! Also my daughter had the chicken fingers and fries and she gives them two thumbs up! Also very nice waitstaff and you can sign a dollar bill and staple it anywhere inside the restaurant, very cool

Yelp
As a proud native of an area of New York fondly referred to as "Little Dublin," I think I have relatively high standards for what constitutes a real Irish Pub, and I'm happy to say that Katy's really hits the mark. Their lunch/dinner is quite solid--the reuben sandwich is quite excellent, with quality corned beef--and I also really enjoyed their shepard's pie. The soups are particular standouts--not surprising, since most of them, in the true Irish tradition, are flavored with booze. I loved the Jameson Irish Onion soup, where the whiskey flavor is quite noticable, and my wife really enjoyed the Guinness Cheddar soup. Aside from being a touch heavy-handed with the salt, the food is really quite enjoyable. Perhaps more importantly, they certainly know how to pour a proper pint of Guinness here, and they have an impressive selection of Whiskey - Irish and otherwise. Look forward to coming back sometime for some later-evening drinking!
google avatar

Girard S.

Yelp
Great food and staff. Nice bar and grill very busy. Had the salmon and it was tasty. Looks like an Irish bar inside.

Jackson B.

Yelp
If you'd like to experience a real Irish Pub, this is the place. It's not only the decor, the menu and drinks are very much like what we found in Ireland - actually better because the full menu is available all day and in Ireland you might only have a choice of a cheese sandwich if you are there at the wrong time ;-) My wife tends to like things like the salmon or the steaks, but I like the Shepard's pie and Boxty.
google avatar

Cassaundra H.

Yelp
This place surprised us! All the previously posted photos left a bit to be desired but the reviews made us decide to stop in for dinner. The food was top notch. We got the pretzel bites with sweet mustard and beer cheese dipping sauce for the appetizer. My husband ordered the Shepard's Pie and I got Chicken Stuffed Boxy. I thought mine was the best but we both enjoyed our food equally. Posted pics but it was definitely prettier food in person. I think it is the darkness and green lighting that make it look disgusting!! We recommend this festive place a try!
google avatar

Amy M.

Yelp
My husband and I had the best time tonight. Our servers were amazing and fun loving. The food came out hot and tasty. I had a little smorgasbord of the sampler and stuffed mushrooms. My husband had the keltic pie. We highly recommend Katy's!!!

Charles B.

Yelp
One of the best Irish pub's I've ever been to !! The food was great and the service was on point!!! Highly recommend if in the area!!!
google avatar

Ben W.

Yelp
Food was so-so... service was way slow... Guinness took forever.... fish and chips were terrible!
google avatar

A L.

Yelp
Great service and really good food. The stuffed mushrooms were incredible. Guinness Beer Cheese Soup, even better. Waitress was attentive and friendly. Will definitely go back when I'm in town.
