The place is beautiful—lots of outdoor space and trees all around. The food was good, at least what we got to try. We went with a group that included several kids (more than five between 6 and 8 years old), so we expected they’d be able to hang out and play, but that wasn’t really possible.
Of course, with trees around, the kids tried to climb one, and a staff member told us WE’d be charged $10,000 if the TREE got damaged. I get that they want to avoid any risk of someone getting hurt and possibly suing them, but honestly, just asking us not to let the kids climb would’ve been enough. No need for scary threats.
Later, the kids started playing (we were in a quiet, separate area with no other guests nearby), and again we were told off—this time because kids aren’t allowed to run at the restaurant. They were just playing hide-and-seek, not bothering anyone but us. Again, I get the safety concern, but as parents, we know kids will be kids—they can fall and bump into things anywhere.
In the end, we left after just having the starters (which were really good, by the way). The place is lovely, and the food might be great, but it’s definitely NOT kid-friendly for children between 3 and 12—especially kids who like to run around, play, and have fun without screens.
