Yelp
We stayed in Unit 214 during June 11-22 and thought the complex was wonderful. The complex has a pool, ample parking, and the manager is super friendly. The complex itself is located conveniently next to shopping and eating. It's about a 5-7 minute drive into the town of Kapaa which has numerous shopping and eating opportunities. The central location is also convenient to everywhere else on the island. Lihue airport is about 10 minutes away, but we did not hear a single plane during our stay. The condo we stayed in was oceanfront and really great. Beautiful view of the ocean. We booked it through VRBO and received what we think is a reasonable price. The condo was quiet with the only noise from the ocean, not bad! The bathroom was updated. The bed was soft and comfortable. The kitchen had everything you need, very well-equipped and supplied. Washer and drier is very convenient. Cable TV. Lots of leftover DVDs to watch too, nice! Overall, a great place to stay during your Hawaiian vacation.

Yelp
Absolutely no complaints with our condo #212. I suppose it depends on each owner and what extra amenities they may or not have. Location is great. Yes it's sometimes a bit hard to get onto the highway but this is Hawaii....what's the hurry?? Each unit is on the waterfront of Wailua Bay. I saw one person complain on the website from where they rented through that the sound of the ocean gave him/her a headache!! Ha! That's hilarious. All units are also staggered so you can see the person in the next unit which is a plus. Lots of places within walking distance to eat and drink or drive to in historic Kaapa town.. Also close to Costco, 2 Safeway's, and a Foodland. I would stay in Kaapa over Poipu or Princeville. It's not as touristy and more local.

Yelp
Wife and I stayed here to celebrate our 28th Anniversary. Great view of Wailua Bay (hence the name). Beach accessible, conveniences nearby, and good value. Enjoyed BBQing at the pool too.

Yelp
Don't book through Condominium Rentals Hawaii, Expedia or any package through Hawaiian air!! We booked months ago, requested specific rooms and got none of them. Ended up with a room far away from the beach and THE closest room to the road! Barely a curtain and nothing but road noise and a loud air conditioner in the bedroom. Right near an intersection so we hear ever car and truck. Gave them a choice of THREE specific room numbers and got none of them. Why even take a request?? No call to say they could not honor our request. Major road noise. View from the "balcony" is of a burned out restaurant next door. Advertised as ocean front but it is NOT. Can barely see the ocean; can't hear it for the traffic. Total rip-off! And...the wifi password doesn't work. SUPER disappointed. Never book again. BUYER BEWARE. CRH really dropped the ball with us. Very poorly managed.

Yelp
We reserved Wailua Bay View condo unit 106 back in May and were just notified yesterday by the owners Bill & Georgia that they accidentally double booked our condo and were cancelling our confirmed reservation. At first they said they would find us something comparable but in a follow-up email 2 hours later they stated that they couldn't find anything and therefore were refunding our deposit and leaving it all up to us. Now we have less than a month to find something else for our upcoming February trip. There is a reason why we make an effort to book our condos early - to try to get the best product at the best price. How are we supposed to do that in less than a month for Hawaii's peak season? I don't know if the double booking is true or not but what I do know is that any decent owner would have found us a place and agreed to pay the difference in price. Just saying you're sorry just doesn't cut it.

Yelp
View was great, location was great! Unit #103 was extremely undesirable. Booked a room with king size bed 5 months ahead of time to ensure we got what we wanted. When we checked in they gave us a unit with a queen size bed because that was the only thing available. Carpet had large dark spots on it, bathroom was dirty. Dishwasher didn't work. View of abandon restaurant off the lanai. Infestation of moths one night, the carpet was moving with them. Traffic noise was terrible and air conditioner was extremely loud. When I brought these issues to the attention of the rental company they told us we could check out and find someplace else to stay and they would refund our money Thanks Condominium Rentals Hawaii. Would I go back to Kauai, YES. Would I go back to Wailua Bay view Condos? NEVER, will I use Condominium Rentals Hawaii again NO, Booking.com did not back their reputation at all.

Yelp
I have truly enjoyed my rental at Wailua Bay View condos since 2014. I Planned my 50th 6/2020 and due to covid it was pushed to August, then postponed to 7/2021 w a car rental included. NOW they have changed hands from RES TO VASACA. I paid for combo thru res with car rental in 6/2020. I have car reservation and paid for when Vasaca seems to care less. So now out of car rentals and have to go thru private rental which costs more than condo and 4 days short of cancellation. So disheartened. ER nurse, frontline w covid in California and wish you caution.

Yelp
My brother and our wives stayed in unit 310 for a 3 day weekend in April 2013. We loved everything about our experience here. We purchased our tickets on Hotwire and got a great deal. The complex itself is located in a beautiful part of Kapaa, centrally located with restaurant and shops nearby. The rooms all have ocean views and are less than 50 feet from the water. The staff that we encountered here were all friendly and even pretty funny. Our condo was clean and mostly updated, with a brand new TV and BluRay player, as well as free private Wifi. The condo was fully stocked with literally everything we needed, it made it really nice. The owners even left a welcome note with a bottle of wine! For the price, location and experience we all rated this an A+!!

Yelp
We stayed in unit 302 it was wonderful! The owner had it stocked to the max! Condiments, Towels, Toys... everything. The location was perfect for us-it was central to everything 30-45 minutes to north and south destinations. We walked to eat pretty much every night. The beach was always a drive but we expected that. The property manager Mark was AWESOME.. the condo shared areas were immaculate and pristine you could tell he cares about the building and it's units. Our bedroom had AC and the bed was super comfy. The other areas relied on the outside wind to cool but if it was too hot we just stayed in the bedroom or out to the pool.

Yelp
We stayed here for 9 days in unit 305. While the unit was a little dated, it was still very nice and very well equipped. We found the area extremely enjoyable, easy to get around in and the locals very helpful and friendly . I would recommend this complex to anyone who is looking for a nice place to stay.

Yelp
Unfortunately, just return home from our fabulous trip to Kauai. I am seriously thinking about moving to this beautiful island or at least visiting as often as possible. We stayed at the magnificent Wailua Bay View Condos (Room #215). The view was spectacular! My son and I were just amazed at the beauty that surrounded us. Thanks so much to Mark, one of the managers at the complex. He was very friendly and so welcoming. These condos are located in one of the best spots on Kauai! We were close the everything we needed and smack between the North and South of the Island. This made it a breeze to visit the entire island throughout our trip! I am going to book my return as soon as I can! Hopefully we'll see the beauty again very soon!

Yelp
Beautiful view and nicely equipped condo. We were not aware that all the condos did not have AC so be aware of that. It was 90 while we were here and pretty muggy so very stuffy inside. Also the maid was very pushy about getting in to clean well before check out time.

Yelp
My husband and I recently had the pleasure of spending a week here during the month of April. Our room was clean and well appointed and what a view! We were told we would be oceanfront and the lanai looked over a beautiful beach with gorgeous sunrises. The grounds were very clean and nicely landscaped. The pool was sparkling and if I had one complaint it would be that they could use a couple of umbrellas out there as Kauai sun gets very hot. The resident manager was very nice and helpful giving us direction to wonderful sites to visit and great restaurants. All in all, I give Waialua Bay View 5 stars and my husband and I would definitely recommend this.

Yelp
These condos were very nice. We stayed in #207. The views were amazing! The only complaints I would have is that i would prefer if it didn't have carpet in the entry way and the slits in the screens need to be repaired to keep the mosquitos out.. However it was stocked with everything you would ever need! Beach towels, beach chairs, umbrella, ample linens and towels, hair dryer, curling iron, cleaning products, trash bags, sunscreen, kitchen wares and even condiments, spices, eggs, butter, water and whole lot more were provided. The bed was very comfortable in the bedroom. The pullout bed in the main room was horrible with hard heavy springs poking you. It had a flat screen tv that allowed us to hook up our apple tv or roku. It had dvd/vhs player. Free internet was slow at times. There were many Kauai guidebooks. There were games to play and books to read. There is no housekeeping available at all. Beach access is very close. You don't have to go on highway as previous reviewers had claimed.. There is a beach access on the other side of the property. The pool area was small but nice with 2 gas BBQs that were clean. No hot tub was on property. The condos were centrally located between the north and south shore, about an hour each way.Warning: Don't park under the monkey pod tree! It dropped sap that looked like an entire coffee latte. It would not wash off and ruined the rental car! I will definitely stay here again, but i will stay in #209 because it was flooring instead of carpet

Yelp
Tried to put a 1/2 star... U it was clean on inside (but not updated since the 80s), but dumpy on the outside. Location good for getting to other parts of island, but very disappointing. Look elsewhere unless you get it for a steal...

Frank P.

Yelp
The website says they are 30 ft. from the water. True, but getting to the water is a whole different matter. You can't actually get to the beach without a walk along a busy highway, without a sidewalk. The actual entrance to the beach is about 1/2 mile of walk. It is not a swim beach by any means. Boggy board or surfing is pretty good. No snorkeling close. The 1 bedroom condo was recently "redecorated", meaning they recently painted it, so recently the paint on the cupboards was still wet and sticky on your hands. The smell of the apartment- condo was something between Lysol and musky. The bathroom was not in too good of shape and had rust. It really needs a refresh. Traffic noise is strong in the early morning. Would we stay here again? I don't think so. The ocean view was great - but all of the ocean views in Hawaii are great. The photos provided are deceiving. The location for restaurants and shopping are excellent.

Yelp
Unit 204......awesome. Woohoo is right! dealt directly with the owner, who keeps a fully stocked condo. I needed clothes and food. that is it! He had everything else. the condo is mid island, so perfect for Kauai sightseeing. the pool is so great, condo had sunrise view over the ocean and beach. sit on lanai and see ocean, beach, surfboarders, fishers, swimmers, walkers, etc. i am returning end of this year and booked this exact condo. my advice, work with the owner!!!

Yelp
Very comfortable setting, incredible views. Small unit...perfect for a couple on a romantic getaway. Nice pool area with gas grills and great restaurants within short walking distance. Just perfect in peace and tranquility as well as inn proximity to life's essentials...like coffee and breakfast.

Yelp
We stayed in unit 106 in May. It was very nicely remodeled and the view was amazing. It was quiet, cozy and centrally located next to many restaurants, shops and is a short drive to any side of the island. The owner sent us a nice gift basket the day we arrived. He was very accommodating, nice and easy to deal with. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Terrie J.

Yelp
Unit 114 not so good. Unfortunately the owner has not updated it since it was built. Appliances are very old, bathroom should be gutted. It would have been nice if the owners had beach chairs and an umbrella. Cleaning staff very pushy about check out time, she actually opened our door at 9:20am on the day we were leaving (check out time is 10am !) to tell us that she had a replacement toaster for us. Not a room I would rent again. There was a group of us (12) and some rooms were very nice and some like ours needed a huge overhaul.

Yelp
Me and my husband stayed here for our honeymoon and wanted a place that wasn't overcrowded with people so we can enjoy eachothers company. The pool isn't really big but to be honest it was just fine cause the place isn't the big so it wasn't ever really busy. Would deff. stay here again.
