Unfortunately, our experience at this restaurant was very disappointing. While we understood that the menu was not available in English (which was completely fine), the server—who spoke perfect English—refused to help us translate or explain any of the options.
Once she realized we were English-speaking tourists, her attitude shifted noticeably. She stood by as we struggled to choose something from the menu, then when we finally made a decision, she laughed and told us it was no longer available because it was past 11:00 a.m. Before walking away, she said, “Keep trying and I’ll come back later to see if you picked the right option for what we’re serving at the moment.”
It was embarrassing and made us feel completely unwelcome. In a small town that relies heavily on tourism, it’s unfortunate to be treated this way. We were excited to try local cuisine, but the service left a very negative impression. I hope this feedback helps improve hospitality for future guests.
