The 28 Best Restaurants in Prague, Czech Republic | Eater

"Approximately translated to “the cafe with no name,” this is one of the city’s best-kept secrets. Beyond morning pastries, the food is simple here, with daily soups and entrees written out on chalkboard; everything is always made from scratch. The walls feature rotating art exhibitions, while the bathroom sink trades a mirror for a sign proclaiming, “You look fine,” another hint at the cafe’s laid-back vibe." - Dan Clapson

Delicious food, friendly service, peaceful secret garden location. The cardamom on the pancakes was especially good. They also had high quality iced tea that was unsweetened, which I appreciated and haven’t been able to find elsewhere in Prague. They allowed us to move tables to sit outside, no problem.

A cozy café with a modern design, warm service and a comfortable atmosphere 🙌🏼 The spacious terrace is perfect 🤌🏼 The coffee was very tasty. The breakfast plates looked absolutely stunning 🍳Sadly, I didn’t get a chance to try them, but I’ll definitely be coming back. ❤️ Recommend 🫶🏻

Google
Excellent coffee, delicious breakfast and dining options, lots of sweets to choose from. What stands out is the location, a mixture of industrial grunge and modern chic, it's a very relaxing and inviting atmosphere. Staff are super friendly and attentive.

Had THE perfect brunch here! If you’re in the area, don’t miss this cafe. The service is quick and the food is great. My husband and I came in planning to have brunch but ended up arriving a bit late. Luckily, they still had plenty of options that worked for a late brunch or light lunch, even if you don’t want anything savoury or meat-based. We ordered cappuccinos, a traditional cream roll called Trdelnik, and my personal favourite, the apple crumble pancakes. The pancakes were not overwhelmingly sweet, with a nice touch of cinnamon and cardamom, and topped with mascarpone. I honestly could eat them all day. That’s how much I loved them. The cream roll was also really tasty. This place is definitely worth a stop.

Feels like travel back in time without losing a comfort of today’s perks. This large coffee house offers several seating areas, all designed with cool antique features, armchairs, art pieces. It feels very welcoming. Service was very pleasant, drinks and food perfect and comforting. I loved the old patio tree that creates romantic atmosphere. Definitely a place I want to go back to.

Google
A beautiful indie café with industrial style interior. A wide variety of drinks- we ordered the kombucha and matcha lemonade. Both drinks looked beautiful and are very photogenic! The kombucha tasted sweet and sour (reminiscent of apple cider vinegar), the matcha lemonade was very watery though, and the lemon flavour far overpowered the matcha in my opinion. It would be nice if this was served with a little stirring spoon as the matcha settles at the bottom- and perhaps less ice.

Superb! I ordered 2 iced teas, they were SO good. Monte Cristo sandwich was filling. Cutest cafe, ever! Really loved it. Highly recommend!

Google
My husband and I had brunch here and we really loved it. We got the recommendation from The Honest Guide and it meet our expectation. Very cosy vibe, very polite service, and great food. The coffee? It was amazing! Do not miss this place!

Yelp
Great food & great ambience in this very rustic and shabby chic breakfast place; tucked behind the trees, and behind a parking lot that makes it even more unique.. loved everything about this cafe especially their eggs Benedict soufflé that was absolutely delicious! Would love to come back here the next time we're in Prague.

Yelp
I live in P5 and this was my first visit. Ambience is really fun with a great vibe. My husband really loved the coffee. We tried the eggs Benedict which is a novelty due to the egg soufflé, but it was just that really. That's a LOT of tasteless egg white to eat. But the sauce was good and the chives on top was a tasty addition. We will come back and try lunch and for sure breakfast again. I probably won't order the eggs benedict again though. Love the location and vibe!

Yelp
We had a bus to catch, and found this place close by for breakfast. The eggs benedict soufflé was outstanding! Best cappuccino too. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Came here twice now for breakfast. Only in this city for four days. Hard to find without really zooming in on google maps and you'll find the entrance through the gravel parking lot that's by the barber shop. Pros: - cool space and atmosphere - friendly staff - inexpensive and good food - presentation is wonderful Notes: - egg soufflé is a must here (around only $9CAD) - coffee is a lighter roast and on the sour side for the espresso

Yelp
This place deserves better servers. You can tell by the design elements and the great but simple menu that the owners are trying to develop a voice in the culinary community. Their efforts are undone and thwarted by an abrasive and rude staff.

Yelp
Rustic cafe with a lovely courtyard. Don't come here if you're in a rush as there was a wait to be seated and dishes took some time to come out. I came on a sunday around 14:00 and waited about 15-20 minutes. I had a nice hot cocoa and the fluffy eggs benedict. It was unique and tasty. Great food and environment.

Yelp
Oh my gosh! Amazing eggs Benedict soufflé... totally worth the travel from my hotel room. Very cute little place with great patio. I very much enjoyed my soufflé and espresso. Will come back.

Yelp
I wish I had discovered this place earlier. This cafe/art gallery is a great place for brunch. The only thing I will say is they didn't have many food options but regardless I loved the atmosphere. It took a hot minute to find because the entrance is a bit hidden but other than that, I loved it.

Yelp
A really cool place that has been around for a year and is hidden at the back of a courtyard, behind a parking lot. It's kind of a hidden gem that is often visited by locals who come here to work, chat, read or just have a good coffee or a drink. They make really nice cakes as well as small snacks but you can even come here for lunch. I love to be coming here in the morning for breakfast. The place doesn't accept reservations and is usually crowded, so make sure you come in advance and don't mind a bit of waiting :) it's definitely worth it

Yelp
Very nice place, amazing atmosphere, quite young and hipster but really chill. The place is also very well decorated. The coffee is excellent and from what I heard, so are the pancakes!

Yelp
Unique and amazing in so many ways, but simultaneously mediocre at best and poorly run. Its hipster heaven if you are into it.

Yelp
ARROGANT DISGUSTING STAFF I never ever leave reviews but this one totally earned it. I came in and waited for a solid 20 minutes and not ONE person greeted me or came up to me even though the cafe was half empty. ALL the waiters saw me waiting and completely ignored me! Finally, a waiter came up and told me to come with him (he beckoned me and it was clear I could be seated) so I followed him and immediately he turned around and stopped and said something in Czech (which I don't speak) and I said what? And he said "did I say something? Go back and wait" in the most cold, hostile, aggressive way. I've literally never seen worse, more arrogant, disrespectful service in my life and I didn't even get a table. What a bummer because the interior is so cute.

Yelp
''Twas very good. Nice seating area and a very very kind waitstaff. I had the spinach poached eggs, and I've got to say they're practically the best poached eggs I've ever had in my entire life.

Yelp
- This is where all the cool people go. - Definitely quality over quantity. - Simple menu. - Pretty slow service by American standards but the point is to enjoy the experience. Note: you seat yourself

Yelp
Its unique place, people here are kind of comunity but still very open and nice to each other. On the first sight I wasn't sure if this place is good for me but late I realised here is many details I can appreciate. Really good Caffé baristas. Good range of snack and sweets. Kind staff and nice guest to share table with. I can sit whenever I like when there is lack of tables. This place is good as meting point with friends and as working place for individuals. All generations are welcome.

Yelp
Out of this world Benedict. Incredible aeropress. Aesthetic is beautiful. Highly recommend

Yelp
My friends and I are addicted to this place. Very hipster and slightly hard to find-you have to walk through a parking lot to get there. But the service is great and so is the environment. Not to mention the food! It is all so fresh and their soup special constantly changes. They are all so delicious! The only reason I wouldn't give the place 5 stars is because the coffee portions are small for the price, especially the cappuccino. The drip coffee is interesting, it is served uniquely... :). But everything else is great, not to mention the attractive workers.

Yelp
Love this place! The best coffee in perfect and cool environment!

Yelp
I wanted to check out this new place since i heard so many things about it. Unfortunately it was really hard to find and my espresso was quite sour. Maybe the machine wasn't clean? I don't know. But in the end we left because we didn't like the coffee nor the atmosphere (staff wasn't informed about their offers). We won't go there again,

Yelp
So far the most stylish coffee store in Prague I have visited. This place offers both outdoor and indoor seating. I would recommend to sit inside since the interior offers hipster design. Bathrooms are unique as well! Very similar to San Francisco coffee stores. Love it here as well as the coffee they make! Definitely will come back!

Yelp
We went there,....waited for several minutes next to the sign (wait to be seated) at the entrance. Then asked when the hostess is gonna tell us hello or anything more less give us any attention. We asked some guy behind the counter when the hostess will show up and the guy said I am the hostess. We have no seats open inside right now. So we asked if we can sit outside, where we wanted to sit in the first place. He said yes. So we sat outside. It seamed far above that guys mental capability to say hello when we showed up and tell us that they are full inside, but we can sit at the tables outside. Very unfriendly services and don't give a damn about customers. Will not go there again.

Yelp
sooo czech. the most typical authentic czech cafe in prague. to make it trendy and charming enough, the "interior" is set with cheap second hand furniture, except a long table. on tough naked walls czech artists display some pieces off art. foreigners are warmly welcome in the hype atmosphere of the czech youngster's world. the service matches the czech standards: a czech native in company of a foreigners will benefit from the same special care, service and attention than any other client. the coffee & limonade are the perfect sample of quality you can't find anywhere else in the country except if you were back in time 10 years ago. if you look for more modern czech spirit than "hleda ..." you won't find better place in prague. people from all over the world come, it's worth a visit as it is worth to cross the charles' bridge at least ones in your life time. within a time of sip of coffee you will understand what todays' czech spirit is all about. and as usual, yes, it is hard to find out where is the main entry.
