Incredible place, doesn't look like much. But the food is great at really good prices. No nonsense, fast and discreet service. The cooks are doing their job masterfuly and the udons are great. Can't recommend enough if you are around Dontobori and want something away from the busy streets. Went two times.

The udon here is well-made, with a perfect balance of chewiness and softness. The cod role and duck dipping sauce were both delicious and on point. Surprisingly, we didn’t have to queue at all during lunch hours. While it may not be the newest establishment, it provides excellent service for the price.

The service was decent. I just want to say beware this dish is served cold. It was completely my fault for ordering the wrong thing but I just wanted to say not all dishes served there are hot and the cold dish I was served completely turned me off. Noodles were good but cold it wasnt that good or really what I was looking for. Again it was my fault, so just wanted to warn others to make sure if they want hot soup with their noodles, make sure to specify or check closer than I did. Tempura was the best thing I ate and even that was soggy and cold.

Very good udon. The guys behind the counter have clearly been doing this for many years and it’s fun to watch them work. The udon is fresh and chewy and utterly professional. I’ve been here several times and will go here always whenever I’m in Osaka. I would highly recommend the duck and leek udon (classic flavor profile) and the tempura udon. We’ve explored other menu items as well like the curry udon, but the duck/leek and tempura ones are my highest priority

The udon noodles are freshly made and the noodles are long! I really loved this recommendation as I sat at the bar while they made the food. I throughly enjoyed each bite.

Their udon is very soft and very al dente. Broth was delicious too . I got the Katsu and Udon and I have to say their portion are honestly quite huge for one person 😂. Service was a little bit slow, but they did apologise and space is also quite limited.

It may like a bit intimidating if you can't speak or read Japanese but they have English menus and were very welcoming. Udon was great and the noodles were definitely hand cut.

I ordered the udon with shrimp and was extremely disappointed to find that the shrimp was spoiled. The unpleasant taste and odor ruined the entire dish. The noodles were mediocre at best, and the service did nothing to improve the situation. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a safe and enjoyable meal 🙂

It's really delicious and healthy!!! If not for our Japanese friends we wouldn't know about this place. We are from LA and I haven't had this kind of dish. Udonski...oishi!!! And the mentaiko tamago omelette is also very tasty!!!
