"What started as a stall in Hollywood’s Yellow Green Farmer’s Market has blossomed into Hollywood’s it-spot for coffee. Now located in the heart of Hollywood Boulevard, the shop is renowned for its freshly air-roasted beans, organic acai bowls, and sweeter treats like a cookie-topped Oreo Frappe." - Jesse Scott

This is a laid back coffee shop for all ages. Everyone is nice and helpful. There is a variety drinks and food to choose from, along with customizing any order if needed. The food was delicious and the drinks tasted great. Overall, we had a good experience and definitely will be back.

Google
Very cute and delicous place. We moved to Hollywood about two years ago and have been trying different places on the weekend. So far this is the Best espresso i’ve had in the area, it’s so rich and creamy without being too acidic. Egg Sandwhich and burrito were also awesome. We will def be returning. btw in the back there’s a large parking lot.

Google
Very cool coffee shop!! Gotta love these local coffee shops. The name is a play on the Spanish "que rico" (how tasty), and the coffee & service courtesy of my barista Esther was MUY rico!! Lol highly recommend! Didn't have food just a decaf cappuccino so can't comment on the food. One of those places that just boosts your mood!

G Russell

Google
Coffee was outstanding. The server/barista was friendly. They had a crowd and were shorthanded, so it took a while to get my latte. Otherwise, it's a 5 star. I'll be back. Parking is tough, so be ready.

Google
Everything was absolutely wonderful. Food was quality and coffee tastes amazing. I felt like I had left town and gone to a magical land where everything was beautiful and well done! I loved the whole place and all the decor, and the great service!

Christopher Fogarty

Google
Great service and great staff. Coffee was fantastic. Best Cuban coffee that I have had.

I’ve been wanting to go here for a while. The atmosphere was great, clean environment. Maybe I went on an off day because the food was not as I expected. I ordered the Breaky burrito and was disappointed that half of the filling was tortilla wrapping. I barely had any bacon or filling in the burrito and felt it was dry despite having spicy ketchup. For what I was served, the burrito was overpriced. I ordered a cappuccino. I expected to have some sort of foam art/design, as this would elevate the experience. I have a cappuccino maker at home, I could have made what I was served myself. I went in on a Saturday. There was plenty of seating available inside and outside. I hope they improve on these details that will better the food quality and experience.

Yelp
Amazing coffee, amazing people, and amazing atmosphere. Highly recommend!!! My wife and I love trying different unique cafes, and so far this location is the best in southern Florida!

Yelp
As my son says "this is the best place ever!" But on a more serious note, ended up coming here after a failed disaster of an attempt at visiting the new Modern Rose. Things we loved: I loved the pesto chicken panini; it was crispy with a very flavorful pesto. My partner had the tostada (didn't try it but it looked good!) and my son raved about the waffle. The coffee was adorable. There's a cute little alcove in the back where you can take pics in front of a greenery wall. They also have a gender neutral bathroom. The place itself was pretty chill. Things to work on: I really wish they had gluten free options as someone in our party isn't able to have gluten so that was a bummer. They also kept forgetting to bring my daughter a fruit cup and by the time we got it everyone was already done eating. The taste of the coffee was "okay". All in all a pretty decent place. We'll be back.

Maria B.

Yelp
Friendly staff at this coffee shop, the venue feels very welcoming and inviting, its like been back to PR. Loved the music as well as the atmosphere, the rich flavor of my cappuccino was a big plus. The food menu had many choices for food and also sandwiches, wraps, bagels, pizza and also açaí. I had lovely time with my sister. Parking was complementary. I will consider this place to hang out and to enjoy the good vibes and delicious coffee!!

Julia S.

Yelp
I had such a good time studying here! There's a good amount of breakfast options, not just pastries, so this would also be a cute spot to grab brunch and catch up with someone. Or to have a working lunch. The staff was friendly. There were outlets and the staff never pressured me to leave. Would definitely come back!

Ani V.

Yelp
I could live here! The music and the vibe was amazing. The barista gave me some good recommendations. I had the bumblebee latte was amazing. They have card games you can play inside work or use Wi-Fi. I felt very welcome and the drink was amazing. I definitely recommend if you're in the area! 100% better than Starbucks. Lol

Yelp
One of the first coffee shops we visited when we started our coffee journey Kay Rico is located in Hollywood Fl and bringing all of the good coffee and vibes you need. Super friendly service and food comes out quick. Choose from a big menu of breakfast options, lunch, quick bites and more! Sit at the bar or anywhere inside or outside. Their coffees are uniquely crafted and the latte art is worth visiting for!

Ana W.

Yelp
I came to this coffe after coming from another coffe shop that was terrible, and i really enjoyed the experience here, the place is super cute well decorated with antiques like old phones, low lighting they have a whole menu of different choices of coffees, teas and food, I would definitely come back for work, prices are very reasonable, this is located in the hollywood florida, very eclectic, server was very kind and helpful, I was able to get my work done and enjoy being here

Becky L.

Yelp
Came here twice now to catch up with friends and get some work done. They do have alternative milks like oat milk and almond milk. I've ordered the chai latte with oat milk. My friend ordered a Greek frappe with almond milk. The chai was very pretty with the froth art and cinnamon on top. A standard good, no complaints on taste. My friend let me try her Greek frappe and I really enjoyed it to the point that I got it the second time around. I like the creamy froth on top and it's not too sweet. I appreciate that you can still taste the bitterness of the coffee. Also got the egg a cado which had a nicely salted avocado spread and a kick with the red pepper flakes. I like that despite the egg being fried, it had the liquid yolk that paired really well with the multigrain taste. To be honest though pretty small portion for the price so not sure if I'd get the same thing again. I think what I liked the most about this place was the chill atmosphere and comfortable vibes. I really enjoyed being able to catch up with friends here. Also got some work done in between. Would definitely come back for to study/grab coffee. One tip I wish I knew is that there is parking is available in the back! I wish I had known before google maps led me to parallel park a block away in the front.

Maria H.

Yelp
This place is the best! I love the staff and the food! Every choice is delicious!!! Service is super quick and always awesome music playing ! If you are in the area this place is a no brainer!

Sheila G.

Yelp
Nice local coffee shop in the heart of Hollywood. Went to meet a friend and grabbed a coffee and a toast. It was a cool little spot with good coffee. They take your order up front then bring it to your table. The restaurant itself has a cool vibe and nice atmosphere.

Jessica D.

Yelp
This was the pick-me-up I needed after a long, adventurous afternoon! Super friendly and accommodating staff here. The coffee was simple and delicious. The thick foam that was suggested to top off the drink was excellent! It looks to be a great spot to relax and hang out in. Check it out!

Sylvain K.

Yelp
We went on a Friday at 11AM, and there was plenty of space to sit. They have outside in the back but because it was in the sun we decided to stay indoor. The place was half full, it was a mix of folks working and chatting with friends. I took the care con leche and a grand rising sando. The coffee was good, the sandwich was just ok, but fine with the low price tag. For some reasons a lot of the options that I saw on pictures on Yelp don't seem available anymore. My partner had a BLT and she was happy with it. Good coffee, cheap food, we liked this place and will be back.

Rickey S.

Yelp
I stop in Kay Rico coffee about once a month to pick up their roasted beans for my house. The inside is cute and eclectic, with coffee themed decor and shared adult coloring books on every table. I always enjoy an iced oat milk latte, but they have tons of interesting espresso drinks on their menu! The baristas are always friendly and I've never had to wait more than a few minutes for my drink. There are always quite a few people working virtually here, so I plan on coming by with my laptop soon!

Carolina H.

Yelp
Omg I love this place. Puerto Rican coffee shop with great coffee and food. The girl that took our orders was so kind and gave great recommendations. The coffee was not only beautiful but also delicious. Food was great, and place was just overall a 10/10. The place is spacious and with great music. Very informational coffee board on the wall.

Zain K.

Yelp
Not sure why it took so long for me to get around to writing this review (probably because I was sure I'd already done so), but Kay Rico has become my go-to coffee shop, and I always enjoy the couple of hours I'm able to spend here on my laptop on a Sunday afternoon. Service is great, the coffee is strong and tasty, the ambiance is casual and inviting, and if you want to hang out for a bit, there's plenty of seating and good wifi. The only thing about the vibe that may not suit everyone is that it's somewhat dark, but for me that's not a detractor. The only thing I don't love is the short hours (they close at 4p every day, I think), but for whatever reason, coffee shop hours in the area are generally limited (one exception is Crema, on Biscayne, which seems to be open later, if that's something you need). I've yet to eat here, but they seem to have a decent array of food options on offer.

Christina F.

Yelp
This is a gem of a find. A small local shop making absolutely delicious coffee. I can't vouch for the food or anything other than the iced latte but I know that they'll be good and can't wait to try in the future. They have a pretty large menu of drinks so definitely something for everyone's taste. You can tell they really care about their customers. Daniel is super friendly and you could definitely see how much he cares. Looking to support local when you're in the area, then you MUST try this gem of a spot.

Evelyn O.

Yelp
Service is always great here everyone's super nice and welcoming ! they also have a couch if you're feeling lazy

Anam A.

Yelp
Ordered both the tuna sandwich on multigrain bread and a vanilla iced latte to go. The tuna sandwich was pretty good. Flavorful and they were generous with their portion. The vanilla iced latte was a huge disappointment. It barely had any flavor; it was super bland. I only had a few sips and threw out the rest. Overall, I'd come back here if I was in the area and wanted a quick tuna sandwich, not for coffee.

Neisha M.

Yelp
Was looking for a coffee house and this came up on Yelp highly rated. Stopped in and had the lavender latte and my bf had the matcha. The latte was pretty good, came in a nice big cup with a cute design. It could have had a bit more lavender flavor to it. We also had had the lox and avo toast both were good. The bread was not really toasted for 'toast' but everyone has their preferences. The place has a cool vibe and the decor is interesting. They appear to be dog friendly as we brought the dog in. They had two small tables outside but it was humid and too close to the traffic. I would definitely visit again. You order at the counter and they bring the food and drinks out. They give us a loyalty card. The prices are good. There is street parking and maybe in the back too. They seem to have a lot of regulars so that's always good!

Lauren R.

Yelp
I work next door and this place is always my saving grace. Coffee is strong but also tastes amazing and is super customizable. Def recommend their Matcha Latte with an addition of espresso and sweet condensed milk!

Rosa Ro A.

Yelp
I was here during this past weekend for a breakfast meeting with my team. It's the first time at this establishment. I love that they have a book at every table to read. Some tables have sketch books. Therefore, the patrons can doodle or write to their hearts content. There are a lot of talented people out there. The food was pretty good and their smoothies as well. I had their Herbivore Wrap which had spinach, onion, carrot, tomato and a shmear of avocado, salt and pepper. I also had the Green Gremlin Smoothie made of Spinach, Cucumber, Coconut Water, Green Apple and sprinkled with Coconut Flakes. I really enjoyed the smoothie. It was and filling. There is ample parking in the back of the establishment and the ambience is quiet cool. It's a cute little quiet spot to just chill and hangout with a cup of joe in hand. I didn't take many pics.

Grace G.

Yelp
What a hole in the wall literally.. the vibe in here is chill and a great spot for a quick bite and cup of Joe. My friend and I stopped here for a chat and it was really nice and convenient. I ordered a grilled cheese and a cold brew, pretty basic but convenient. I loved their coffee menu, really explains visually all coffee style served. I would certainly come back for another bite and coffee. Thanks!

CeCe M.

Yelp
This coffee shop is so lovely! It has an eclectic vibe and the baristas are super nice and helpful. Lots of spaces to do work or just chit chat with a friend. It's not too loud, so I feel comfortable taking meetings (with me being quiet if course to not disturb the peace). I got a tumeric latte, which is basically all I've ordered here since so few coffee shops offer it. Highly recommend!

Patrick D.

Yelp
First time trying a green tea coffee (Macha Latte). Not bad. The egg on top of my Eggacado was perfect! Just like jelly. Parking was easy in front of the place. Prices were average. Inside the place was comfortable with jazz playing in the background.

Vanessa D.

Yelp
4th coffee date with my wife and she has an almond latte and I have a matcha latte with oat milk and brown sugar. When you enter, the ambiance is steam punk. There are a lot of clocks, minimal lighting with natural lighting, and plenty of space to sit with decor on the walls. You place your order in the front once you enter. You receive a table number that has a playing card number to place on that table. Service was very quick and we waited for our drinks and food for less than 5 minutes, which was quick and efficient. We had a good time and felt extremely relaxed. Definitely will be going back!

Ariel U.

Yelp
Grabbed a quick coffee here with a friend. Super cute, chill vibes and friendly service. When you have your coffee in house they serve it in a mug. It's almost like you're being served in someone's house. Now that I know about this place, I'll definitely visit more often!

Felipe Q.

Yelp
Amazing coffee, great customers service, and nice environment to sit and enjoy a conversation with someone.

Alexis N.

Yelp
The service was awesome and the matcha latte i had was so so good! They're really homey and friendly here. I spent most of my time sipping my matcha reading the little books they had where people wrote in them and had super cool art pieces and it touched my heart to see so much history in such a hole in the wall place

Aaron G.

Yelp
Great vibes, great staff, great prices, great coffee. Definitely will stop by in the future. Support local businesses!

Patt G.

Yelp
My friend lives in Hollywood and we were going out to spend a day getting sunburned (well, that is what happened, whether we meant to or not) and needed to get some food first. He had been to this place once before and suggested it to me. I'm always up for a new experience so we went. First, it's rather Bohemian or eclectic or New Agey or something. It's hard to describe but it has a vibe to it. It's a good vibe, but it's kitchy (which the spellcheck keeps changing to "itchy" but that's not the same thing). It's hard to describe so you just have to go see for yourself. Their breakfasts are very good. The woman who took our order was very friendly and answered all of our questions. The food came out in a timely fashion and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I would definitely go here again.

Ali K.

Yelp
Absolutely love this little gem on Hollywood Blvd. it's a little bit difficult to find parking on the main road, but right behind the building is a huge lot free for Kay Rico customers. When you walk in, you're greeted with the heavenly aroma of ground coffee beans, as well as the super friendly staff. They are super helpful in recommending drinks, because they have quite the selection (see photo). I got my typical iced vanilla latte, which was super delicious. The coffee is really good, and the flavors didn't overpower the coffee taste. Really well done!

Tamika M.

Yelp
Didn't know what to expect coming to this coffee shop but I am so glad I stumbled upon it! Literally love everything about here. Give off all the vibes and ambiance of what I look for in a coffee shop. As I walked up I was greeted by the 2 baristas and the playlist that was on gets an A++. The decor was also so unique with the different coffee mugs and cups displayed and the mirrors with the sayings in the back. The barista that took my order explained the menu to me and some of the faves and popular drinks. I ordered the Old Fashion coffee with almond milk which is a cold brew that had condensed milk. I originally planned to order to go but decided to have a seat and have my drink here! Once it was ready she brought it to my seat and it was so refreshing and delicious I sat and read my book for a bit. I love that it's not loud here even with the music you can still be productive here or just chill and read a book if you want! I definitely plan on coming back here and maybe even making this my go to coffee spot! Thanks y'all!

Anya S.

Yelp
Terrible service, horrible attitude by the woman at the counter. I will not go back to this place, plenty of other places with better service. But it looks like the kind of place where they don't care whether you come back or not, at least judging by the attitude of the server. I'd be surprised if this place stayed open long-term.

Claudia A.

Yelp
Very cute coffee spot! They have board games, tables available inside and outside. The employees are super nice and you have to try their lucky charm matcha latte!!! I was skeptical about it but it's delicious and not sweet. Their lattes are yummy too. Highly recommend.

Amber J.

Yelp
Had an awesome breakfast from Kay Rico! I live just a few blocks away and as I was looking at Uber Eats, they popped up... But they were so close, so I figured I might as well stop in and order to go. Today I had the chicken pesto panini on Cuban bread, which was phenomenal, and I split an egg and cheese tostada with my spouse, who also had the breaky burrito (nice and zippy from the chipotle ketchup). Our food was hot, freshly made. The eggs were cooked nicely and the cheese was perfectly melted on the tostada, bringing back fond childhood memories. Chicken pesto paninis are one of my favorite go-tos anywhere, and I would certainly order theirs again. We also ordered coffees, and I thoroughly enjoyed the Old Fashioned, which is lovely in it's simplicity and extra points for being cold and refreshing. My spouse had a vanilla macchiato and she commented a couple times that it was really good. The atmosphere at Kay Rico is clean and welcoming, dim lighting adds to the intimate atmosphere. Plenty of seating, both at high tops and long tables toward the back. There was also a sign for outdoor seating but I did not check it out because it was raining. I could see myself spending an afternoon sipping delicious coffee and reading or grading papers. We will definitely return and I am kicking myself for not checking it out sooner!

Cristian S.

Yelp
service atmosphere quality of drinks and food. What's not to love? Kay Rico is a great local spot. Friendly staff and service. Take some time to visit this place for a nice afternoon out with family and friends

Kim L.

Yelp
Delicious dirty chai and light breakfast. Would visit again when in town. Cool eclectic vibe in Hollywood

Julie M.

Yelp
This place is a gem. I The vibe is wonderful. The staff are amazing, kind, knowledgeable. They believe in quality and going beyond in service. I am addicted to this beautiful space. I love their golden milk latte, matcha latte, chai tea latte, iced, hot, coffees. In love

L M.

Yelp
Horrible customer service, I placed my order waited about 15 minutes and when I asked if my coffee is ready little rooster behind register with bad attitude started arguing with me Coffee was decent but you have to change employees that represent your business

Alia N.

Yelp
I've been coming to these guys since they had a stand at the Yellow Green Farmer's Market. The brothers are so friendly and watching their dynamic while they worked was so wholesome! They've developed a great concept, close to downtown Hollywood. I've made this a pit stop for road trips headed north just so my friends could try it and I've brought my pup here after dog park days. It's such a chill environment. Their Kayvlar always hits the spot, they have great food options, prices are within budget and they even host some game nights that have called to my attention. Give them a try! They're awesome.

Jorge A.

Yelp
I am a returning customer at Kay Rico. Don't know what changed with this place, something is different. Not taking anything away from the coffee, but the level of service has really changed. I don't want to ruffle any feathers with the regular customers but the level of rudeness is ridiculous. My cappuccino took a long time to come out. When I received my coffee it was cold. I asked the person behind the counter to please heat up my coffee. The gentleman behind the counter told me " For future reference, you must request your coffee to be extra hot" After 8 minutes came back to my table with my coffee and with a bad attitude placed the coffee on the table. I understand people have bad days from time to time, but please don't take it out on the paying customers. Shame on you! I will not be returning to this place, and I'll make sure to tell all of my local friends to stay away from this place. If you want to remain in the industry, learn to be a little more professional. You'll learn that a little effort goes a long way. Who knew that when you ask for hot coffee, you have give specific instructions for the coffee to be hot.

Kelsie D.

Yelp
Amazing!! Staff is super sweet and the food was Amazing!!! Kind of pricey but worth it if you want something really good

Vlad D.

Yelp
Great little coffee shop with a very chill and cozy atmosphere. So many different coffee options to choose from. Coffee was made very fresh. Food was awesome, highly recommend their breakfast burrito with the spicy ketchup. Egg and avocado toast was good but the egg was fried and not over easy. Will definitely be coming back.

Ezzi F.

Yelp
amazing cafe con leche, loved the eggs and it's a neat spot to sit and eat in. would definitely recommend.

AY C.

Yelp
Cute place and the coffee was delicious! We came in as first time customers, picked up the menu and were never told that we had to order at the counter... Anyway, we ordered breakfast and the food was terrible. The price for most items is TWICE what's advertised on Yelp. I don't mind paying a high price for quality food but honestly I ordered the "Korean" chicken & waffles and was extremely disappointed. The chicken had a gross aftertaste to it and the waffles were super dry and tasteless. My friend ordered a breaky burrito and it was tiny but tastier than my waffles. The barista/cashier was nice but I will not be going back for food. On the bright side, the coffee was quite tasty.

Jose G.

Yelp
We had an hour to kill before returning our car at the airport and decided to get something for the sweet tooth. Not much of a baked goods selection. The chocolate cake was 8/10 and the cheesecake 7/10. My cold brew was on point 10/10. My wife had the Cuban coffee, she said it was ok. The atmosphere is nice and inviting. Great customer service. I would recommend if you have time before or after your flight. I will take this place over Starbucks any day of the week.

Sydney B.

Yelp
I love visiting little places like this when I'm traveling! It was a cute little coffee shop with a plethora of games to play and the staff was great! Honestly, this is the place that sparked my love for turkey pesto sandwiches because it was sooo freaking good! I have yet to find a place in Illinois that can compare to this sandwich! My boyfriend got the Egg-A-Cado and he enjoyed it- and he doesn't even like avocados lol! The chai was good as well! Def recommend if in the Hollywood area!

Top G.

Yelp
I'm visiting Miami and I came here for coffee based on their great reviews. I ordered a double cortado based on the illustration, it shows two shots of espresso and steamed milk on top all the way up. I ordered it to go and when I got it it was very light so I opened the lid and it was 2/3 empty so I asked the lady who took my order and made my coffee to please fill it with milk. She seemed very annoyed and said I should have told her I want a full cup when I placed the order. I said I ordered based on the picture ‍ and I wouldn't mind paying extra if I was told so. She said next time I need to be more specific and it cost extra. The coffee is fine but her attitude isn't! I'm adding a picture showing their menu:

Susan D.

Yelp
I passed by this place a few times and was looking forward to trying it. I walk in and no one acknowledged me. I was even with my grandaughter. I sat down was there for like 5-7 min even stood up and walked around still no one said anything to me. So finally after about 10 min I just decided to leave. Sadly I never got to try anything. They can do better with their customer service. This was my first time there and probably last.

Hungry C.

Yelp
Best coffee in south Florida! I've been coming here for many years and the quality and service is unmatched
