Kayakapi Premium Caves - Cappadocia

Recently we stayed at the Kayakapi Premium Caves on a family vacation, and our experience was extraordinary. We felt happy from the moment we arrived here. We found the staff members to be very professional, gracious, and helpful.||Starting from the airport transfers to the hot air balloon ride and private sightseeing tours - everything was arranged with utmost care. The Guest Relations Team, specifically Mr. Abdurrahman Doğan, was extremely helpful in arranging our itinerary and in planning our tours efficiently.||The cave suite where we stayed in was beautiful, clean and spacious. The view of Urgup valley from the front of our cave was stunning. We also loved the breakfast spread. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice, and we appreciate the attentive service of the restaurant staff.||Kayakapi team made our stay really special. We left Cappadocia with a ton of beautiful memories and a dream to return here someday.

Such a beautiful boutique hotel with breathtaking views! The rooms are charmingly traditional yet cozy, and the private mini hammam in each room is an amazing touch that makes the experience truly special. The staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and welcoming — they went above and beyond to make sure every detail of our stay was perfect. From the moment we arrived until the time we left, we felt genuinely cared for. A wonderful place to relax, unwind, and feel at home.

Family of 7 here…..Our visit to Kayakapi was magical. The suites were large, spotlessly clean , with tasteful and luxurious decor. The surrounding mountains and valleys were from a different world. Great breakfast, lunch, and dinner at their main on-site restaurant . Unfortunately we do not have a chance to try their specialty restaurant which also had rave reviews. Concierge was excellent in organizing hot air balloon ride, sunset horse back riding tour, tour of cappadocia ( including lunch at a local restaurant, tour of the underground city, pottery class and tour of pottery studio etc) months in advance of us arriving. Staff were helpful , polite, and courteous but weren’t overly bubbly. Everything was top notch ! Would highly recommend Kayakapi to anyone planning a trip to Cappadocia .

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful, unique hotel.|The staff were very accommodating and helpful. ||Nihal was very kind and arranged many things for us, and we especially enjoyed our 2-day tour with Kutlu to see many of the sites. ||The Spa was very relaxing, and I received a wonderful massage from Herma. ||And Duygu tried her best to get us on a balloon when ours was cancelled due to weather—the weather did not cooperate and we were unable to fly, but we still had a lovely time in Cappadocia. ||Lastly, upon checking out, the front desk gentleman was so very helpful at wrapping & securing one of our luggages that the airlines had severely damaged. ||We really appreciated the extra care we were given during our stay! Thank you Kayakapi team members! |PS….the maids & cleaning service were top-notch!

It is a different type of hotel and gives you a glimpse of how somehow people used to live a long time ago. Obviously with much better amenities. We stayed 3 nights and the 3 nights were amazing, the team were so attentive with me and our family. The breakfast also amazing. Thank you very much.

We really enjoyed our stay at Kayakapi Premium Caves. The property is beautiful, and the cave-style rooms were big, clean, and very comfortable. There are some upgraded rooms available, but even just our standard cave room was spacious, luxurious and worth it! ||The service was especially great - everyone we interacted with was friendly and quick to respond whenever we needed something (transportation, help with bags, booking reservations at the hotel restaurant, laundry, etc). ||Overall, we had a really great experience and would definitely stay at Kayakapi again!

The rooms were magnificent, well-preserved caves with modern amenities. The staff and service were top notch as as well. A special thank you to Mrs Duygu and Ms Nihal for arranging our tours and balloon rides.||10/10, please give them a visit!

Amazing site, perfect location, quiet and relaxed, no stress, beautiful experience, beautifully renovated and upgraded caves, good attentive service. Good breakfast/food. Don't forget to ask what you need besides the buffet. At poolside breakfast/diner possible and the pool is warm :-). The same company will expand the renovation of the caves in near future.

When we first arrived we were given two rooms, one of which was a free-standing building and the second of which was a true cave right near reception. At first we were disappointed with the first room we were shown, but the second one proved to be unbearable (it was #101). I didn't get any sleep all night and felt absolutely wrecked the next day. To their credit, they moved us right away when we asked, but I think part of this promptness was an awareness on their part that this room was legitimately unbearable. It was so hot and so humid... beautifully decorated but really just awful to be inside. The second room was really stupendous, but I think it was actually an upgrade... It's shameful that the first one we were given is even on offer! The pool is in a beautiful setting, and breakfast was great... But it's really hard to forgive just how awful that first night was! And the fact that the second room wasn't great really doesn't help.

This is an ok, no frills hotel. Everything is pretty basic. It is also a little pricey for what you get, but all the touristy things in Cappadocia are mostly overpriced in general. The breakfast was ok (nothing special), but one bad thing is that every morning they had flies going around the breakfast hall (and on the food) because they would leave the door open to the outside. Staff can be a bit stoic and cold sometimes as well. This place would have a better vibe if the staff was more friendly and engaging. One of the staff members, Abdul Aziz who works at reception (I think that's his name) was super friendly (the only friendly person out of the bunch), but everyone else, not so much. Overall, ok hotel, but think of it more like a "bed and breakfast" rather than a hotel in of itself. It does have a great view of the city from the hill where it's located though, so that's a plus. The hotel staff also gave me and one of my friends free teas and a cookie each to-go, when we were on our way to the airport. In general though, ok hotel, nothing to get too excited about. Update: this hotel contacted me and tried to trick me into removing my review. Beware!!!!! This place is garbage and shady, unethical people.

We booked this hotel because we were intrigued and excited about staying in actual caves. Okay, first of all not all the rooms are actual cave rooms. We had booked two rooms both at the same price level. When we checked in we were provided two rooms but one was an actual cave room and the other was not. At first I was disappointed that my daughter and her husband got the cave room. By the next morning this was not the case. They had a terrible night in the cave. It was humid and hot beyond being to sleep. They complained to front desk staff but they did not any assistance - such as a room swap or apologies. We did insist that they change the room for the second night. They thankfully accommodated this request. The breakfast buffet was certainly adequate. We were departing very early on our second morning, prior to breakfast opening and were told there was nothing they could do about it. Our guide pointed out that he was staying at their sister hotel and they were providing him a breakfast to go. Upon hearing this, they did pack us a lovely to go box of breakfast. Point is though that we shouldn't of had to have our guide fight for this for us. There is a very nice pool and the view is spectacular!

My girlfriend and I looked at these - and we almost stayed here. They are pretty good - but pricey.

First thing first, I made a reservation but didn't stay at their hotel. I'm here to talk about their customer service. I was really excited for my trip to Turkey, so Kakakapi was one of those hotels I had booked for this trip. Most almost like one week after I got all the reservations nailed, news from all main stream media around the world talking about some Korean tourists got attacked because they were conceived as Chinese. I didn't want to risk my safety for the trip, so I had no choice but to cancel all the reservation. The reservation process was very smooth, except for this hotel. First they denied they have any issues toward to Asians. After I cited the news from BBC and Yahoo news, I was told they can't refund me anything, and news exaggerate every little things. If I could highlight my review, I would highlight my last sentence. I 5 star hotel told their customer hey you know all news are exaggerating? I can hardly believe this 5 star hotel does not put their customer's concerns at first, they don't even put their customer's safety as their priority. They'd love to blind their customers. If we did go and get attacked, are you, Kayakapi, gonna take the responsibility? Anyways, if you want to trust a hotel who don't have responsibility and don't value customer's safety, then choosing them probably is a good choice.

My suite with promised view had none as completely blocked by another unit. Very dark rooms with virtually no natural sunlights. No shower- just an old tub with shower nozzle in it so you had to crouch in tub to use it which was really cold and uncomfortable. Staff while responsive to requests were not particularly friendly. Beautiful outdoor pool was unheated so not usable during our mid-October stay. Would not recommend.

We are currently staying here as I write this review. This hotel is exceptionally beautiful and we picked it to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The architecture is breathtaking and one is surrounded with luxury. We would give the hotel 3.5* for amenities and most of their service. We're taking away 1.5 stars for this: Upon checking in, we found out that we were booked on a standard room by our agent. We asked if we could upgrade (we were willing to pay the difference) and the receptionist just said no. We were told the hotel was sold out for the holidays. When we looked at their website for reservation, they had plenty of rooms available. We're thinking that maybe they assumed that we wanted a free upgrade which understandably that's why they said no, but with three staff staring back at us and didnt offer the chance to upgrade for a fee when rooms are available, we find that a little disheartening. The half star that we're removing is for the bathroom. We had a a claw-foot bathtub and nowhere around the tub did they set a table for us to put the toiletries. Am I supposed to soak in there with bottles and soap floating around me? Needless to say we improvised and moved the coffee table from the living room into the bathroom to stage the toiletries. Having said all that, I would still recommend family and friends to stay here. I would caution them to be careful in their selection of rooms during reservation. Once that is settled, this place is truly heavenly. Wifi signal is solid. Am about to enjoy our breakfast and it's snowing outside!
